And thats fine, I'm not very strict when it comes to posting and you won't find me pestering you if you've not replied for a couple of days.

Oh, yay! I actually tried this out as a group roleplay once, only there were only humans, but it bottomed out really quickly because of inactivity. -sad-
Anyhow, it takes place in the medieval era (of course!) for the majority. I say majority because it starts out in the modern era for the human (my character in this instance; I normally play female characters, but I can change it to male if necessary). The character is back at their parent's house for the summer trying to earn some extra cash outside of their summer job. Unfortunately, that means cleaning out the attic for them. Going up there, they start to wonder if their family has ever cleaned out the attic because of the amount of junk they have accumulated over the generations. After a couple hours of cleaning out, they finally make it to an relatively open area where there are larger items. In one box, they find a large book chronicling their heritage back to the medieval times. There are various drawings of the ancestors and they are shocked to find an ancestor's sibling that is a mirror image of them. When they try to read about them, they find that it looked like someone tried to blotch their particular history out, as if they were ashamed. It turns out that this particular person was branded as a witch and was sentenced to death. Aside from that, all they can learn is the person's name and that they died around the character's own age.
Disappointed in finding out about such a sad practice, the character continues to clean the attic and pulls off a sheet to come face to face with a mirror. Aside from the ornamentation, it seems like a normal mirror, so the character starts to move to look through other boxes. A flicker catches their attention from the mirror and then turn to see, in amazement, that it's like the mirror has become a T.V. Various images are flying across the surface, such as landscapes and it's quite obvious that the images come from another time. Faces of people are blurry, but one comes into focus and the character gets hit with a pang of familiarity, pain, and longing (this would be your character). The feelings are so strong that the next thing the character realizes is that they have crossed to the mirror, about to touch the mirror. When the character's fingers touch the mirror, the apparently solid object ripples and the character finds themselves being sucked into the mirror.
The next thing the character remembers is waking up in a forest clearing and is clearly very disoriented and confused. Trying to find someone for help, they come across:
1. A forester/hunter/hunting party/whatever who immediately scream the character is a witch because of their manner of dress.Running away from this threat, they somehow come into contact with your character, who immediately recognizes them as their deceased lover who had died a few years back. The threat is dispatched somehow and that is where it can start to progress with the two characters.
2. Your character is the first to come across my character and is overwhelmed by the "ghost" of their deceased lover.
Anyhow, that is the majority. I was thinking maybe a trinket that my character finds may have belonged to their doppleganger (or are they the doppleganger? Eh, either way...) which can further add to the confusion of your character as to why my character can't remember them and keep denying they aren't who you say they are.

The genders would depend entirely on which gender pairing you wanted to use =p
I like it, though its not the sort of thing I usually roleplay though. I'm a little iffy when it comes to things that revolve entirely around love/romance. I'm fine with it being included, I just.. I don't know, have never really been a big fan of romance, its why I steer clear of romance novels xD
I do like the idea of crossing into another world through a mirror though =o
And.. where exactly would the demon come in? o.0

Very true, I don't like love-at-first-sight, which is why.....yeah, I can see how that explanation could portray that. Crap!
Well, they don't even need to know each other, and we can completely revamp the plot to where my character just finds the mirror and the images flash across.
How would the demon come in....hmmm...maybe they're skipping through a field of flowers, suddenly hear screaming, look up, and then get smack into the ground by a falling human? It's raining humans!!!!! XD
That last part was said in total jest. XP

Heh, while I like the idea of raining humans, I don't imagine the puddles would go away any time soon.
Well we could always do a modern meets medieval sorta thing. I've an idea tucked away somewhere for that. It could be modified to involve demons/whatever.

Of course.
It was originally an elf x human pairing, but I've done it as a human x human before. Basically a war is waging in the medieval world between humans/Elves and demons/whatever. The humans/elves are losing badly and eventually come across an old manuscript/prophecy/myth depicting a hero that had saved their world before. Though this hero is long dead, his bloodline live on. Only problem is, they live in a different world. So a group of Elves cross worlds to find the heroes descendant. Upon finding it, they have to persuade it to return to their world and help them win the war.

We could always keep it an elf x human pairing, if it makes it easier. It does sound like it could be a lot of fun!

Oh, it will happen. Once I really get into a roleplay, I have all sorts of ideas that I will want to talk to you about to incorporate them. X3
So! If you would like to do it, we have the plot somewhat, so we can think of characters. Like I said, I normally do female characters, but I can do male characters as well. How many would you like to have? Or do you want to just have a primary character and then bring in secondary characters?

Awesome =)
Character wise, I'm guessing it would be the Elf that finds the human, the human and whoever else. I think I'd like to double for this, play both a male and a female character.

They could have been coming to visit the prophesized human and see them leaving with the two elves. Thinking that something is fishy/bad is going on, they follow the trio back to the other world? And since the way they get there gets closed off, they are stuck there. Would that work? Otherwise, it can be three elves and one human, though if there was a second human, think of the collateral they could be if captured by/aid the enemy!

I'm not sure if that would work. I guess we could always have, I dunno, a friend of the human if we were to use two humans. Otherwise three elves work.

The three elves and human could work. For the human, how knowledgeable in the art of war should they be? Or a complete amateur? Definitely would make the elves wonder what the heck happened to the lineage. XD

I don't imagine the human would know anything about war, besides what they've read in books. The human would be from our sort of time/world, so I imagine the Elves have their work cut out for them xD
