Hi. I don't really know most of the people here yet, and the two RPs I've got are being kind of slow in the setup for different reasons, so I'm going to take the lazy way out and hope you folks will come to me.

Please bear with me if I ask a lot of questions; I primarily do tabletop and the occasional forum/LJ RP with a few good friends, so I'm not sure I know quite how things work.

Things I Enjoy Playing:

In-depth plot. If you want to sit down and hammer out something complex with me, I'll be happy. I can do off-the-cuff RP, but I will inevitably end up trying to invent setting pieces and plot hooks, so it'd be nice to know in advance how okay you are with that. On the other hand, if you want to take care of the plot, even better.

Original settings. See above, similarly.

Modern magic. Urban wizards (and other such things), 20th/21st c. settings, WW2 fantasy, Prohibition era, etc.

Cyberpunk/*punk/postapoc fantasy. I have an unconditional love for Shadowrun and anything like it. Not so big on steampunk and its ilk, but if you've got a premise...

Dark Age adventure/sword and sorcery. Conan, Vikings, Beowulf-esque, y'know?

Politics, courtly, modern, or otherwise. Mmm, complex character interactions.

Tabletop-based stuff. DnD, nWoD, Exalted, oWoD, Shadowrun, REIGN, Unknown Armies...

With a small group. This is a preference, not an absolute thing. One-on-one and larger groups are cool too.

Other fantasy, SF, historical, pulp, etc.. If it's not on any list, feel free to ask.

Things I Would Love To Play But Am Picky About:

Werewolves. Love me some werewolves, but I really prefer lycanthropy-flavored or other myths to the romanticized versions.

Angels, demons, priests, and divine things. I am a major theology nerd- particularly Abrahamic theology. I enjoy things like exploring the nature of religious faith, or realistic monotheism in an openly polytheistic world, or things set in early Christian church history. In short, the things I'd want to RP are kind of freakishly high-concept and have the potential to offend, and I wouldn't be mentioning it if I hadn't met other people like me once or twice before.

Babylonian or Aztec-based mythological stuff. I would really prefer someone who knows a lot about it- as in, preferably more than I do. That does present a problem, doesn't it.

Golden Age of Islam/Moorish Spain. Wow, it's like I took the above two problems, hacked them into tiny bits and made a mural out of them. I'm not terribly sure what's wrong with me either. :o

Things I Do Not Particularly Enjoy Playing:

Fandom RPs. There aren't many I'm interested in, and don't like playing fandom characters. If you're recruiting for something esoteric, you can check, but it's unlikely.

Romance. Or rather, I find it very strange to play it with people I don't know.

Seriously hard SF. How would you even do that on a site like this? Eh.

On a minor note: I don't care how many sentences you type. I barely care if you can spell, and I'm not going to post multiple paragraphs unless there's something I'm describing that has need of them. I also won't necessarily post every day, though I'll tell you if I'll be busy for more than a day or two. I would like someone who can craft an interesting, three-dimensional character and pull it off, develop things on the fly, respond to the unexpected, recognize good drama, communicate with other players, and (preferably) become a friend.

Alternately, I'll take someone who wants to have fun playing wizards or something. I'm sure there are a lot of those here. We'll be good.

Hmm...I have several things in mind that are original that I'd like to do, some of them being

Zombie (required tripling +)
Gifted Clinic (required tripling +)
Family (required tripling +)

And, if I could get it out of you, a fandom rp.

Hetalia. (Required doubling AT LEAST) OC's are fine here.

By "doubling" and "tripling", do you mean playing multiple characters? I'd be cool with that.

I'd be interested in hearing what sort of things you've got in mind for the original stuff; I've never seen zombies played, family stuff is fun, and I don't know what you mean by gifted clinic, but they all could be fun.

I don't know Hetalia past "this is why there are so many pictures of anthropomorphic countries kissing", sorry. ^^;

Yes, "doubling" and "tripling" is multiple characters a piece, not counting little characters that have no real use.

Well, first of all, it seems you've gotten my Zombie plot. That would be the plot we'd do, as well. :3

Family plots are interesting...I have one in particular, which is this:

The Worsons' have been separated for seven years. The father hasn't been seen for all of those, and all of the kids were taken by the mother. However, going on the eighth year, the mother and father have gotten back into contact with one another and are becoming friends again. The father remarried, while the mother didn't, and she is now sending her kids back to see their dad. They live in North Carolina, while the father moved up to Alberta, Canada. The dad already has four kids, and there should be at LEAST three from the old marriage.

The Gifted Clinic one is a little more complex. There are people affected by an unknown spike in radioactivity in the atmosphere that happened in 2004. Not everyone was affected, just some people. There is a clinic in Poland for those who were found to be "gifted", and in 2009 a decree from every country sent all they could find there, and a lockdown was issued to keep everyone in.

Aww...I didn't like Hetalia, at first, but an original rp I did with my boyfriend actually made me want to watch it, and now I'm an addict. XD I'm terrible about my Hetalia cravings...but I'll keep them relatively out of the rp (unless we do the clinic one, because I have one character who actually likes it. I hope that doesn't bother you. If so, I don't have to use him.)

im kind of feeling a roleplay based around any army. The army has different division and then different sub-divisions. My friend has the 777th of this army in all his roleplays. They consist of your basic army roles plus some. The extras are psykers (magic users), suit pilot (these swords are roughly 10 feet tall and carry weaponry inbuilt.) it is pretty much a warcraft inspired roleplay xD

I have a few characters from the army already
A psyker, a suit pilot, a medic, a runner/foot soldier and a noble.

ANYWAY xD

this role-play will take place somewhat in the future post-apoc, a zombie/demon outbreak of sorts has occurred and a few survivors of the 7th division got left behind in an emergency evacuation, armed with what they were left with only, they seek out the aide of the locals and any survivors they can find. Most of them are trained killers first but have very little skill when it comes to gathering supplies usually having them provided for them or going without for days.


OR i have civilians a mother and her two twin boys

or i have an assassin plot:
Roki Natsume of the Noble Natsume family, the odd daughter out. She reportedly misses balls and masquerades. She is however present at ever political debate or dispute, or so the rumors go. Her attire isn't enough to make her stand out her ash black hair and crystal blue eyes are. Her parent's are still true to the ways of old telling her to court and act like a noble woman. Trying to play the part she attends one of the many balls. She attracts a lot of attention, her mind enveloped in thoughts of if anyone knew of her true nature and powers. She meets a man there, an interesting one with odd philosophies and thoughts. Something terribly happens though, the ball is stormed by her father's own army. Claiming to have evidence the person killing off their offices is in the ballroom that very second. Roki flees to change and fight but is taken away by them, dragged kicking and screaming to the center of the ballroom. All eyes glued on the beautiful woman forced to kneel in front of them all as a gun is placed to the back of her skull. Her eyes flicked to the man she had met, not for the first time in fact. They were to be wed and she had already bore his children in secret. She sent him a message with her mind telling him where the girls were it was burned into his mind almost as vividly as when the trigger on the gun was pulled. 17 years have passed since that day and the two girls took their rightful place in the manor under their grandfather's rules. One the spitting image of her mother the other a brunette with brown eyes. The elder, the brunette, disappeared after her 17th birthday apparently to follow in her families legacy of assassins. The younger, now 19 keeps secrets of her own, sharing her mother's pardon of the souls she possesses. Inside of her there are two souls beyond her own, both of dragons. Her mother only had one and thus only gift. Kudochi, the younger, has two and thus two 'gifts' Kudochi is capable of summoning her dragons and using their powers of air and ice.

Kudochi would do anything to save her family's name, even kill. So when the corrupt officers of old return to finish their dirty work, It's kudochi who has to do the cleaning up. What happens though, when kudochi gets caught?

I don't mind if you or your characters fan* over random stuff. It's cool.

The clinic one will have us at about three infected a piece (the number can rise at random) and about two staff a piece, is that okay?

For ages, anything from 6 to 56 is fine, but the doctors are hopefully younger than 50. Powers-wise, I don't want anything that is like, MARY-SUE/GARY-STU, please. I don't mind powers like Earth where you can create earthquakes. I just don't want a character who can CONTROL THEM PERFECTLY AND THEY NEVER BACKFIRE. I guess, all I ask for on powers is a legitimate, real-life thing with them. Like...HEALING POWERS.

If someone is brought back to life...and the healer is completely unaffected....I will cry. I expect death in return for life, on this. I will not budge unless it can be passed on to someone else. *nodnod* I hope that doesn't bother you. I just expect a little realism in my fantasy.

he only roleplays on IM only however im sure if you want i can convince him to go to a chat room to roleplay. HE is a bite tedious of new people as everyone use to just try and kill him.

my current roleplay with him is about his main character Nathaniel Duran and his past and such.

I think it would be cool to play a psyker or a foot soldier, myself.

Alright...well, we can introduce them slowly and work them up? I also hope at least a LITTLE bit of romance doesn't bother you...I have one character who starts out pregnant (he can shift his gender (not so much) at will).

as for a setting its up to you ^^ either a new planet they are sent to or perhaps training camps and such. I do have some twins i never drew that ar ein it too but theyare still in the training camp area xD
