Yu Yu Hakusho RP (FULL)
 

Okay so I'm with a group of friends looking for one more person to join a Yu Yu Hakusho group RP. There will be five RPers total for this RP. This RP will be a canon and original characters mix (meaning ten main characters). With each person playing one OC and one canon character. You must post regularly, I am a major pest when it comes to this, I will hunt you down to get you to post (just ask Kat). If for any reason, you have issues that require you to leave the computer for an extended period of time (say a vacation) let us know. We will not post in the RP unless all five can post on a mostly daily basis.

Other non-main canon charactes will be played by all RPers depending on need. This means if we need a character because of plot (say Yusuke or Kumabara) then whoever it makes most sense to write this character at that point in time will do so. However, you cannot play any characters that are not your own unless it is simple motions (even then be cautious and wary of it.) The canon characters we know will be included in the story are Jin, Kurama, Hiei, and Koenma. I will most likely play Koenma, unless you would like to. Kurama will most likely be Amaitae. Jin will most likely be Kat (b/c she has the least experience with the series) Also, please try to keep the canon characters in character. OOC tends to get annoying and trying. So please no giggling Hiei's.

Your OC character must not by any terms be able to God Mode or be a Mary Sue. This means if they can easily beat the biggest bad guy of the Makai or Dark Tournaments they should not be a character. We are not looking for easy, we are looking for character development.

By having an RP, that is mostly centered around character development and characterization, plot will not be a definite. We will start out with a basic plot (mostly knowing when in the series this RP takes place and just past information on the characters). We will let the RP take us where it will and let the characters do what they will. That being said, I intend for romance to happen, I can't write an RP without romance, but we'll let the characters choose how they want to work it out, and if it creates drama? Well, all the more fun for us.

My biggest stipulation aside from what is mentioned is please be at least a decent writer. If I have to struggle through understanding the grammar of your posts, trust me I will not be happy.

Finally, I'm not always this, erm, OCD, per se? I will go with the flow of the RP and I will pretty much just see how it goes.

That being said, perhaps I should say a bit about myself. I'm Wings (or Wingsy) and let's just say I'm experienced when it comes to RPs. I have been writing them since I was a freshmen in high school (I am now a sophomore in college). I'm actually a relatively laid back person and just kinda take life as it comes. I'm an English major, and I have the intention of persuing a doctoral degree in the future. I think that's enough for now, hehe.

Hey all!

I'm Melanie(or Mel). I'm fairly experienced with RPs. I've done numerous RPs and round robins since my freshman/sophomore year of high school. I'm a senior in college now. I'm a math major and I'm intending to teach high school. I'm fairly laid back as well and I'm definitely looking forward to this RP. :)

Woot woot! ^_^ Most of you know me, I am Amaitae :) (for those that don't, if you want, call me Amai or Tae. Either works) I'll be taking up the role of Kurama from time to time, and once I figure out who my OC is gonna be, I'll let ya know who that will be! I formally apologize for any of my eccentricities in advance, as I'm a crazy-ass artist chick who can be really out there, but that doesn't mean I can't be reserved and calculating enough to play Kurama ;P I plan on having a lot of fun with this RP!

hey Angel. Yeah a non-fighting characters is okay. i know one of the others intends to have a healing type character. Can I ask much about your rp experience and just basic stuff like that?

Well, I've tried some group rp's here and there but I mostly rp with a friend of mine on onexone's, she got me into it, and she is SUPER anal about the mary-sue and character development thing, she actually helped make my former mary-sue, into a character that does not suck hardcore XD

My character is a bit of a cliche blonde, but she has MORE than enough flaws to make up for it

well we could do something like that. I just texted one of the other girls to see what she thinks (tae, melanie and i are roomies btw)

i don't think i mind the adding a sixth person too much. i've done group rps before with more people so that's okay with me.

i would love to see a preview. i can actually give a preview of my character just so you get an idea of my style to make sure you want to join. (i don't know if any of the others have their characters worked out yet)

I don't NEED the second one, he's just my OC's boyfriend (or fiance or whatever) he mostly acts as her 'better half' when she is being- well, a diva.

and that's cool, you guys go to college together? I wish I could go. My mom wants me to get married and have kids instead of going to college, she thinks I'll wind up a 'heathen' if I don't room with a 'good christian'.

Anyways here is my preview, but I won't give you the full profile unless I know weather or not my friend is coming. I kinda need her for parts of the bio to work.

Suki is a 'majo'. the majo are a demon who, long ago before the kakki barrier went up, were in the human world creating the ideas of 'witches'.
The majo can turn into cats, fly, and use 'magic' (it's not really magic, its telikinesis, they just call it magic because they use 'magic spells' to control their power)
but the Majo aren't very well liked among other demons, because they look and act like humans, demons like to kill them on sight- or at least attempt to.

Her character us very loving and affectionate and caring.... to some people

but she is a spoiled brat who manipulates others often, and is ver vain about her outer appearance and what people think of her.

She is a princess, but because her father doesn't have a son, she has no real power- and is likley to end up as little more than breeding cattle for one of the other royal families who rule her home country.

I dunmno Angel, I'm not big on the whole Tourney thing, I'd prefer OP.

I guess it would be fine as long as it isn't the dark tournament revamped 45 years too early

Well we don't know where we are gonna start. We were thinking Dark Tourny though really only because we want to see a couple of our characters get into fights. (I particulary want to see my character fight Kurama). But we were also considering post series and just making our own plot.

My character is a water demon by the way who wields a water whip and is basically just a hardass and probably a bit of a snob. I haven't fully developed her character yet but I know she's similar to Hiei in attitude.

if it's the Dark Tournament, we probably wouldn't be using the canons unless they reached Genkai-level of awesome because they specify in the anime and manga that the DT takes place every 50 years

if it's just A tournament then I could give it a shot

but if you don't have a set plot right now I guess I could try

but since it's Angel who dragged me here, i won't join unless she joins too

I'm not sure I wanna use my Majo though, I wouldn't mind making a new OC

About the Dark Tournement thing... does it even matter if we're using a few canon characters here and there...? I mean, the characters we ARE using are demons and Koenma, who if I recall correctly, take WAAAY longer to age than normal humans... so 45 years wouldn't matter to them at all. Besides, I don't think we're going for exact storyline accuracy, rather than just (in Wings' words) "putting a character in a box and seeing what they do."
