Hello all! I am Requiem, Req, Seraphim, hey you... whatever tickles your fancy.

I'm in a RP rut, and am avidly searching for new partners, or even a group. I'm not set on a specific number of story partners, because I know life happens and not everyone can be around everyday, myself included.

So, about me, I've been role-playing online for about ten years now. I got my start on Yahoo chat rooms and messenger, and from there moved to Gaia and other messengers. As too often happens, those wells are pretty much dried up. Which makes me a very sad Seraphim. ;0; I consider myself semi-lit to literate. I'll work with what you give me; I can post from a single paragraph to about 5 or 6. Buuuutt! I understand that everyone has blanks once in a while so the occassional once in a blue moon one liner when stuck... I don't mind those. :3

My rules:
Be kind. No rudeness to me or to others that might join. Not everyone is Mark Twain!
Don't take control of my character(s). Big pet peeve when that happens.
Be nice enough to tell me you're dropping the role-play if it's not going a way you like.
Don't make every other word a curse word.

I'm open to a lot of different ideas, settings, and can play either a male or female and multiple characters. I don't mind romance blossoming as long as everyone involved realizes that it's just RP and I don't start to get the online moves put on me, because then I will drop the RP if my objections are ignored. I will do hetero or homosexual. I do like to talk in OOC as well, and make friends with my partners. Usually even more stories are borne from such awesome talking friendships!

What ideas/themes do I like you ask? It's a lot.. but I suppose I can throw out some basics for starting out. I'll divide them into two categories. Bold font is what I really want..

I'm always on the lookout for something creepy and macabre! Any plans in mind? Paranormal? Supernatural? Apocalyptic? Post-Apocalyptic? Or maybe something merely psychological?

I've been thinking of something along the lines of borrowing from already existing ideas. Perhaps two detectives that are investigating a series of cult related murders, and along the way they come to the discovery that they themselves were victims, and are actually the undead now. If they don't find out who did it in such an amount of time, their souls will be chained to the perps other victims and used for evil, if they find him, they might have a small chance of having a sort of second life with reincarnation?

Well, i don't believe in the dead actually being able to do anything physical, so if they are both dead, it might be a bit troublesome. I think they are only able to influence the living, so not both can be dead... Although if they are cursed its alright, but undead is just a bit too vague, makes them sound like zombies XP

Still, I like the idea of them being on a deadline, with their souls being at risk.

Well we could mesh out the details if aspects of that plot piques your interest. Maybe one is dead, and haunting their partner because they are a target now too? Or they've been inflicted with a curse that will cause them to die?

Well, I'd rather work with the living, so maybe they are cursed. Maybe one of them was caught and the other interrupted the ritual where they were supposed to kill him, causing them both cursed? One would probably have a bigger trauma about it than the other. It would also make the enemy more of an opportunist, selecting a certain type of target, than actually selecting a particular target.

Hmm I like how that sounds better. It would be more motivating for the one that was caught and might add a bit more character development... like guilt or something.

Super! So we now have to iron out details about the cult, about each of our characters, who's playing who, and a bit of backstory on the matter, right? First off, when will the story start? Before or after the incident? Or breaking up the incident

Aye... the always fun part.

I haven't played a male in a while, so I'll make my detective a guy. And I'll take a cult member. For the setting, should it be real life modern times, or a modern, fantasy type world? I think the story should start just before the incident, with the captured detective hoping/counting on being found and trying to find out information about the cult, and the other just about to find them.

What kind of cult should this be? Paranormal, going after immortality, or more for demons and nasty beasties?

I think modern world would be great, with just a bit of fantasy. In that case, my main character will be a female. And I could definitely make someone in the cult! What if the cult were making sacrifices to become human? Maybe they were something supernatural, like vampires or werewolves or the like... and got tired of losing control of their impulses?

Those were the ones that interest me. My only limits is sometime time based, I might skip a day or two of rping cuz of inspiration lost or I get busy and tend to not have time. I try to have as much time as I can but I don't like over doing it. I can rp up to five rp's with one person as far as I've counted. I can play either gender or both and I do tend to like original versions than fanbases unless I create an oc for something.

Hmmm maybe vampires? They would seem more likely to be murderous since werewolves get to be humans half the time. And they need to collect so many souls to become human?

Hmmm... It'd be better if it was a number with a meaning, like 7, 8, 9 or 13... multiply that by the number in the cult, that seems to be two for now. And vampires sound fine.

I had my own thread up a couple months ago saying the villians stole dreams that way. So it would work for me to be easier if we chose dreams.

@Koraru: Let's go with 7. That usually has some significance to it when it's used in stories. It just might be their lucky number. Do you prefer thread, PMs, or messenger?

Oc's? I 'm not sure, I would like mine to be a villian or in between as in sometimes helps villians and sometimes don't or just one or the other.
