Not your grandfather's Hogwarts...
 

Hey everyone!

A long time ago I used to run an RP website called Legacy, then the host died and so did the site. Not too long ago I was attempting to revive it on a different server... and currently that server is down as well due to a massive fire and I'm not sure when it's going to be back. The point is, well, I still want to do this RP rather desperately.

What is it?
Well, if you haven't guessed by the title it is a Harry Potter roleplay. The twist? It's set back when Tom Riddle was a student, the year that he ends up opening the Chamber of Secrets. Which, interestingly enough, also puts it in World War II era... so there's a Grindelwald/Hitler connection and potential for some pretty dark plot lines to come out of this.

Is it mostly canon based?
Yes and no. I'd love for canon characters to be taken first (I'm planning on playing Tom myself), but there is plenty of room for original characters. Is Moaning Myrtle going to die? Well... yeah. That happens. If it didn't then the series would have been totally different... but that also means you get to play a ghost. How is that not fun? There will also be a war/nazi oriented twist to the story because I can't imagine that students wouldn't be affected by such events, particularly muggle born ones whose fathers or brothers might have been out fighting.
