It's at least a little bit to go on. |
Sounds good Raine. [yes] I'm setting up a play right now and then have to head out for the evening. I'll put something together tonight or tomorrow and ping you back here. Sound okay?
Mirella, I think I'll add a spot under the main post, where we can put characters. Since I'll probably put little character descriptions (maybe photos also - haven't decided) of ocs. Like her brothers and other people you create. If that sounds good to you? Quote:

That sounds fine. I may not have my guy totally figured out yet. But should I pm you his profile when I finish it? |
Sure. [yes] I'm about to leave for the evening, I may or may not be back tonight. But I'll definitely be on tomorrow.
|
okay thank you, again sorry it took so long, getting sick prolongs things.
|
Hey it's really not a problem, Raine! I've had some health issues crop up lately myself. =/ I spent some time literally crying about them today. *sigh* I understand.
|
When it comes to anything involving ancient Egypt I am hooked. It isn't often I find someone who would like to role play that. If you are at all interested in doing an ancient Egypt story with me I am sure we could come up with something very fun.
|
Really? Lol that's great! So do you know a lot of things about the time period? I'd need to do some research probably if you want something by the book, fact-checked. I once had a group play here called Ancient Egypt. There were almost ten players. We were all having a blast, but it was purely fun and made-up, no real facts, just our own made up world based off of things we'd seen or read in fictional books about ancient.
And one day someone personal messaged me, completely putting me down and calling me an idiot and saying the rudest most hurtful things because my play and none of the people in it were actually real facts. He tore apart the year I made up, the things they wore, absolutely everything. I haven't played and Egyptian play since then, and that was like two years ago. |
so wait what did we decide on?
I wound up sick again. Why would you be crying about yours if I may ask? you don't have to answer though. |
I honestly don't recall now. [sweat] Lol I think some about dimensional traveling, or something? I'm not sure we actually figured it out yet, or maybe we did. I can go and look back in a minute, I'm in the middle of making dinner. :)
And I was crying about the health issues because they're terrifying. |
ah okay. ooh nice siggy. if you're still interested in roleplaying that, then we can. if not, i understand.
|
Which siggy was it? My sig is on random, lol. And let me look into what it was! I can't recall. I am pretty busy lately though. I reply to my group plays daily, but my one on ones I reply to a lot less often. Sometimes once a week or less. It's not that I'm not around, I just haven't found a one on one that's really captivated me and my creative side yet.
|
Heh, if I didn't have bad experience of going MIA from Menewsha, I would totally say "you're looking for all the things I'm looking for in a RP partner". Well, I kind of said it, but I will refrain from RP suggestions, just say it is totally awesome I stumbled upon this thread. Just felt nice to read it. :)
|
Awe, well that's too bad that you aren't looking for a partner then! I haven't found any good one on ones on Mene in quite some time. In fact, I believe I've only ever had one to meet my standards. It was years ago. So sad.... lol.

Also, the siggy part of the girl with pretty long hair being held in the arms of the handsome guy with black hair [hug] [squee] |
Well, if I didn't know my school was coming up, I would put aside the Mene thing, since how hard it is to come online for a post or two, if there is reason to... But, I might be able to post only 3 times a week soon, even if it's more than just a post then, and few odd posts here and there.
And I'm completely with you about finding good partner thing. ._. Not just on Mene, in general. |
Raine, I've been reading the Vampire Diaries, I actually read those after I read the Twilight novels. Neither series was totally awesome, but I enjoy all things vampire, so they were do-able. I've tried reading another series, I can't recall now what it is, by Laurel K. Hamilton, I believe? Wasn't really my thang. Maybe I didn't give it a good enough chance. I got a few chapters into the first book, I think, and quit reading.
Anyway, I'll play anything supernatural with vampires. I've them on the brain lately. Nothing corny. I don't want them to sparkle. I do need an even mixture of action, suspense, character development and relationship growth. I need my characters to develop something more than friendship, but it doesn't have to be super mushy, and it doesn't have to be quick, and I do NOT want my story to revolve around a bunch of mushiness. I want conflict, regret, sadness, I want it allll. [twisted] I've also had some bounty hunter ideas on the brain. It could be a fantasy based play, too. I think I recall you saying you prefered fantasy. I usually do too. There are so many more options that way. I've even been mulling around some ideas based on "horror" movies like "I Know What You Did Last Summer". You know, nothing gorey, a group of people, one of them is a killer... fun stuff, lol. Sadrain, I actually have pretty random post times myself. I can go for weeks posting every day, and then some times I go for weeks where I only post every few days. It really just depends on my mood and what's going on in my RL. I also play on WTF. But I've only got one play there, so I forget to log on every single day. [sweat] So I feel you on that one. |
Well, your first page just stated you're looking for someone to post daily. >.< So, I commented on that factor. I haven't RPed on here for ages, but I still play on RPRepository, it also has my static character profiles and everythin'. I wonder what's WTF. o_O
Also, it says, just realized, you drop RPs without warning. ._. That I kinda don't like, if my partner doesn't tell me they're never ever going to reply to me in it again, because it cuts out chance to work something out or just end it with us both knowing. I don't mind waiting for few months, though, or if they decide to end it, lol. |
Yeah I made that back when I was around constantly. I need to change it. I am around constantly, for periods of time. And I don't drop good role-plays at all. The plays I drop are the ones I get into and quickly realize it was a huge mistake and that my partner will only ever give me one sentence without capitalization or punctuation. Those I drop without warning, and that's why I put that. [yes]
|
Oh, well, that sounds reasonable, actually, it's not like they really care/notice because they usually have 10+ role plays going on around the same time, on the same quality level.
I'm checking your wanted stories... Hm, I have an assassin, but I have hard time imagining while she would fail with a task, unless he would be some pretty impressive CEO OR another assassin (which would be pretty interesting). Also, 99% of my characters (and she, too) are usually with fantasy inclination, because that's how most of my settings (I have 2 big ones) are. Although I could make human... I also play guys, in fact, I like double-timing characters, although not usually with my assassin, but I had this idea where she gets paired up with an another assassin, kind of, of course doesn't get along and there is this detective/policeman (of either gender) that keeps getting involved with them. |
I actually quit playing male characters a long time ago. It became a huge chore for me. My female characters got nothing from the play and I wasn't happy with it, considering I never wanted to play males in the first place, I only found it fair and sometimes the stories needed the extra characters. I've got two group role-plays going on right now where I've picked up two male positions to help even out the gender gaps, and there are times where I have to remind myself it's for the better of the play.
I role-play not to be a better writer, but to have some sort of place where I can kind of get into someone else's head and have some action and romance that my real life is desperately lacking, lol. And I don't get the satisfaction I'm looking for my playing male characters, so it's just a chore, and I really don't have loads of time to have a bunch of plays that aren't doing something for me. I do play [/i]many[/i] side characters in a play, from family members, to strangers on the street, etc. Which can be male, bisexual, etc. But my main character needs to be a female. If I'm playing a male more or just as much as I'm playing female, I'll lose interest pretty quickly since it will become too much of a chore where I'm focusing on all the things I don't care to focus on. I'll pretty much play anything to find someone good who isn't going to force me into making a male for their love ideas. I just got burnt out on it. *shrugs* |
Owch, sounds like painful experience. I'm glad I've not had to go through that. About 1/3 of my premade characters are actually male, and I really enjoy RPing them, so I wouldn't mind picking up the role this time around. Actually, it's been a while since I've had a chance and I miss my guys and the ones I've never even had chance to play because I ended up with plots for my girls!
So, I've got this rebellion leader who is blind (but doesn't have to be rebellion leader and follow my setting), he is very interesting since he basically sees through getting into other people heads. I got my elf-dreamweaver, who is either thrown into modern of future-apocalyptic times from pre-medieval or even our era times, and got his fancy quests. I got my man with steel arm who is pulled into corporation schemes since he owes one of them his life and his arm. My winged musician who wanders the world. My flirty dragon (who can shapeshift into human) that has big baggage and possibility of major plotline. And, uh, I got my Balance Keeper with 2 'lions' as companions. A bit hard to involve, but definitely worth it. I would definitely want you to play in setting/with someone that interests you! :) (I might have to go soon, though, it's soon 5am here, so you can think about it, if any of this interests you or I should cook something new up) ---------- Post added 11-07-2013 at 04:42 AM ---------- They all can get lot of action, although my musician less than others, and perhaps balance keeper, too. |
Whoa, they actually all sound awesome! I think I like the blind one, that sounds so neat. I've never heard of anything like that so it would be a cool new thing. I also like the dreamweaver, and the dragon with baggage. Lol I love baggage. Oh and the keeper with the lions sounds pretty epic. It sounds like you have some really really neat ideas. I love it. Typically people who contact me want me to do all the work with figuring out characters, settings, details and even setting up. Which I wouldn't mind, if they worked out to be good role-plays you know?
Why don't you let me know which of those characters you'd prefer to play and what kinds of settings you like best (since I'm really open) and I'll let you know what kinds of characters I've got in mind for what you've got. [yes] I'll get back with you tomorrow. Have to hop off myself! |
Heheh. Well, I have soo many ideas for characters, just sitting around that I sometime just write down their profiles even though there is 95% chance I will never get to play them. My blind character is about 5 years old, though, started as a wolf! XD Has a companion, girl, however, which brings some drama since there is kind of unrequited love thing going on between them.
And as for which one I would like to play... Oh my! I've been itching to play them all. Dreamweaver's twin has got a game going on, though, so I'm sort of having my dreamweaver fill at the moment, however, so I can put end him at the end of list although he is very interesting with his Lawful alignment. One of my settings is called 'reversed world', for simple reason - medicine that awakens each human's hidden superpower was found. Of course, first the rich got to use it, so they sit at the top of world now, overshadowed only by those who had superpowers well before the medicine came along. Basically, long story short, now everyone who wants to be someone, has to have superpowers. Those who can't afford it or simply lack the gene are shunned and hated. Hence, the rebellion leaded by my blind man. In their own way, all the regular supernaturals like vampires and werewolves can exist, but they're sort of outcasts, too, due to STILL being feared. Another story is based on Earth that is practically very-late post-apocalyptic and all that can, have left Earth. However, now that there are plans to make Earth basically one huge dumpster, new beings raise to claim, from so called Island of Tales. They're mermaids, mages, elves, shapeshifters, dragons and so on, who decide to take back what they let humans have after ancient war. If humans don't need Earth, doesn't mean they don't. And something akin to cold war begins, between Islanders and humans. Another one is where certain kingdoms put their powers together and slowly come out to humans about 50-100 years from now on, also kind of tense. All of these characters can be set in either one, pretty much, except maybe my dragon, he mostly belongs in 2nd or 3rd one. EDIT: And I forgot to mention, I can work with or make up any new one, too! :D EDIT 2: Cool pic of two elves in your siggy! XD I like your random siggy in general. |
