hi, i really like both your "chemical love" and "rival notes" plotlines, specifically for a m/m pairing. did you have a preference either way?

I definitely prefer m/m with chemical love. I had originally wanted to do rival notes as f/f but I satisfied that craving so I'm pretty open there. Between those two plots, I'm not sure which I want to do more. Maybe rival notes????

did you want figure out precisely why our characters hate eachother? i'm super ok with playing a character who's at least a bit of a selfish jerk, so there's that.... And i was thinking it'd be funny if my character secretly disliked yours because he reminded him of an ex ^^

I hadn't thought of anything specific besides artistic envy and maybe when they were starting out as bands, they knew each other but one group made it bigger than the other. I like the idea of reminding of an ex though.

i was thinking the same thing about one being envious about the other's success too - i assume that would be the one who's part of the opening band. can that be my character? i'd like to play someone who acts like nothing bothers him, but is actually quite bitter :>

i don't really have a concrete roster of characters to choose from, i kinda just make up a new oc for each rp

Sure and you can have that character if you'd like. I may look though what characters I do have established, but I've not made any for this sort of plot so I'll probably just make a new one as well. I kinda do both depending on what I need for each rp. If you do the bitter opener, I might do a douchy arrogant sort. Well, we'll see. If you want to do the closeted/out thing, which one do you want to write?

i was thinking about music too, but i couldn't really make up my mind hahaaa
the two bands could have different music genres too - or at least slightly different. like maybe one's pop rock and the other is rock, or one has more of a folksy vibe like Mumford and Sons? oh and if they're different enough, they can fight over which genre's better >:]
tbh though, i do not know much about music genres... i just realized most of the music i listen to is solo artists lol

They can't be too different or they wouldn't be on stage together, but I think it's fine if they're not totally the same. Somewhere in the rock realm is fine though and we can go different directions with them. I like music a lot which is why I write stories with it so much. Trying to decided if I can work in some kind of rock/rap fusion. I don't even know why.

I'll write a profile either way but whether we post them or not doesn't matter. I'm gonna start working in mine here in a bit though. Just got to switch to using my laptop.

oh man, rock/rap sounds both cool and perplexing. the only thing that comes to mind is that version of "Walk This Way" with RUN DMC :o
i figure if your band's gonna go that way, the other band should be more standard rock - just so they're not too different, like you said.

my shift starts pretty soon. but i'll be online tonight, so i can get started then. i'm thinking it'll start off with both bands all together out drinking, and then our two characters can break off at some point.

I've got kpop on my mind ya see.... >.> Suga's raps are inspiring me right now. They're so raw and real so I want to incorporate some of that mentality in my character if not musical style. But yeah, you can write standard rock and I'll go and make up a genre of some sort. Hehe.

Okay, cool. Or we could start just a little bit earlier at the end of a show and get in a scene of our characters being pissy at each other before they're encouraged to get drunk together. It would allow us to introduce the musical styles a bit as well that way at least just as a mention.

I'd like to do a Harry Potter based rp, if you wouldn't mind (I know you said you weren't big on fandoms, but we could set it either in marauder era (when harry's parents/godparents were in school) or as post-hogwarts, ignoring cursed child.(screenplay/book8)).

Otherwise, I might have a few ideas... I like the twisted/gender-bent fairytale thing, and the idea of mixing exotic dancer/customer with student/teacher... That dancer one has sort of been a long-running base plot for me, actually...

Or we could do prince/ guard(servant), master/slave (wouldnt mind swapping it so slave is dom, master sub...), or really anything else listed in my own search thread...

Kat: I've had a couple of fairytale ones before... I've done a beauty and the beast one, and little red riding hood...

Little red didn't have much of a plot besides wolf following red to grammas house, then practically kidnapping him...

Beauty/Beast was plotted a bit more... "Belle" (aka Beau, as his male name) was raised the first few years of his life by his mum, as a girl. His father was off fighting some war when beau was born, so has no idea that his daughter is really a boy.
Beast's parents were also in the war, killed by it when he was young. He got his curse when some woodland wanderer made their way to his door, seeking shelter, and he turned them away rudely, still grieving his parents loss. His curse gave him one day a month where he was human. He doesn't remember what happens when he is beast, but beast remembers everything from his time as human.
Beau's parents are travelling through the forest, and stop to pick some roses to sell back in town, to help them provide for their child, when Beast happens upon them, essentially stealing from him- the roses came from his garden, which he planted with his mum as a young boy, although it's been neglected and since overgrown. They plead for their lives, telling him it was all for their child, and go as far as to promise her to him should beast let them live. He accepts, and on the next human day, he goes to visit them, to make sure they are not lying. Story progresses from there. At the start beast is about 15-16, and belle/beau around 12... Then it skips forward to when Beau turns 16, and his parents drop her of at beast's home... Sadly, it is not one of his human days, and Beau has his first true run in with The Beast...
He fears beast, beast doesnt understand why, when she loves his human side, though she doesnt know of the change yet. Beast then acts cruelly towards Beau, because of it. He then, one day, discovers Beaus secret as well, acting much the same as when Beau discovered he was beast- which was a couple months after s/he came to his home... Theyre both hurt, feeling betrayed, and slowly realize its thhe same for the other... They work through it, eventually falling into true love, thus breaking the curse.

Cool, thusly. I'll get to that probably some time tomorrow or whenever my next day off which might be.......thursday. Because all I know is I'm at work till midnight weds and I'm probably not scheduled to work the next morning.

Hunter: Okay, I can do a beauty and the beast thing like that. I assume you want me to play beast? If so, I'd probably like to tweak things, at the very least the age. I'd just assume write him around 18 at the time he's cursed so that he'll be closer to my normal age range during the course of the story. I don't mind Belle being young though since that seems to fit. The rest I can work out when I get a break to think things out and make them work for the kind of character I want to write. Otherwise, that sounds like a perfectly doable plot.

Well, actually, I wouldn't mind playing either character. I played Beast in the original one I did, so I don't mind either role for this one, if you'd prefer Belle...

Also, if you wanted to see one of the dancer*customer/student*teacher rp's I've done, I could link you..? It really doesn't focus overly much on the school side of things...

Sorry, I figured since you said you preferred to play the submissive role. That definitely sounds like Belle in this and I would very much rather play beast. I already have a good feel as to how that character would work. The sort of Belle you've set up is pretty far outside my realm.

I don't mind if you send me the link though I probably won't have a chance to look at it for a while.

Yeah. I know how I made it sound. Every once in a while I tend to break out of my comfort zone. So if you'd rather play beast, go for it. I think I can do Belle... Would you like the link to the original one I did, as well as the one for the student/teacher?

Here's the link to the original beauty and the beast rp. Similar world to the movie is fine. In the original, Beast and Belle first met when "she" was 12, and he was 15/16... The romance wasn't to start until Belle reached 16, and Beast around 20. Beast decided to let Belle stay with her parents, and made it their responsibility to tell her. He went to visit every month when he was human, to make sure none of them forgot what the parents had promised, and for him and Belle to become closer.

Okay, I can work with that. Do you start with char profiles? And where in the story do you want to start it? Some time when beast goes to visit or like, when she turns sixteen? Or do you want to start earlier and write in some of the getting cursed and when the rose is picked?

Hmm... All very good questions. Originally we'd started on the first human day after 'Beast' (named Mikael in the rp) had been promised Belle. He goes to meet the girl, and remind the parents of their promise. We timeskipped through a few visits, just past belles 13th birthday, and Mikael bringing her (and her family) some presents... We sidn't get much further than that, though we were going to skip forward some more, showing glimpses into their budding relationship, before belle turned 16, and her parents dumped her at Mikael's castle.

Where we start this one is up to you, though. Had I been Beast, I probably wkuld have just taken the first post from the other one and gone from there, but as Belle... Can't really so that, can I?
