I'm dying of boredom. I need some roleplays. Something awesome, original, and not straight out of a storybook. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Plots
Things in life happen for a reason, right? What if all these reasons were dark and twisted? If life was all about surviving. Living without fear. Life. It's such a simple term, but the meaning and the stories behind it vary from person to person. This is a tale of a few selected individuals who would take on the hardships of life. Though they may be heroes, some will not see there actions as heroic. Lives will be lost. Tears will be shed. Courage will be earned. Friendship will be on the line. Whatever happens is up to them. Their actions, their decisions, and their future lay in their very capable hands.
Will not do
non-hetero romances
(though I am willing to do a bromance)
old person x under aged person
posts about sexual conquests
(or anything steamy for that matter)
love at first sight
incest
I'm a baka. I forgot to mention that I like quality over quantity. I prefer if I can get at least three paragraphs from a person. I also would prefer that we NOT fall in love almost immediately, should you want to do a romance with me.
Erm, I'm also on WTFRPG. I'm on there more than I'm on here.
So I realized I haven't given an example as to what I post like. So here's something I wrote....
Quote:
She was so focused. Her eyes, though wide with a bit of awe, were narrowing as she pulled the Jenga Block from the middle of the wobbling tower. Holding their breathe, the five girls seem to await the anticipated tumbling column of colored blocks. When no such disaster rained down on the coffee table, a little groan could be heard. It was evident that luck was on Ellaine's side and she would do all she could to rub it in their faces.
Just as her mouth opened to utter some string of belittling words, the phone rang. A crease formed over her brows. Untucking her ankles, as they were looped around under her knees, she cracked a few times before she reached her full standing position. Giving her rump a good fluffing, she moseyed over toward the screaming phone that was beckoning her to answer from the kitchen. Just as her fingers slipped around the smooth black phone, she heard a voice pipe up at the other end. Eyes crossing for a moment of disbelief, she listened intently at the set of instructions that seemed to spew from the little holes that laced the upper half of the phone.
"Will you play the game? The game to determine your destiny?"
The voice on the other end of the line sounded a bit foreign, almost mechanic. With a cocked brow, she accepted the offer. It's not like her friends were going to stick around much longer. In fact, as she was positioned in the kitchen, the other four girls had managed to creep out from the living room and down the stairs. Escaping, it was the only way to avoid the boisterous woman.
As she heard the door at the end of the hall close, a frown played on her face. Typical. Leaving me just because I'm the best? They should have stuck around. Might have been able to pick up some of my flawless ways.
It was then that Ellaine realized the phone had been directing her to do a mission. Panicking, she threw on a pair of boots. She wasn't really fit to go outside, but she couldn't afford to be late. The underwear-like boy shorts were going to have to suffice. And the sleeveless shirt that showed her stomach, that would have to do, too. Recalling that it was supposed to cool down in the evening, Ellaine reached outward and ripped her red coat from the rack that was rested against the wall. A scarf caught her eye as did a pair of gloves. Slipping the two pieces on, she gave herself one last look. Satisfied, she hopped down the stairs and flew out the door.
The bus stop. It was the first place she had to go. Six minutes! Her eyes lit up. She had six minutes to get there? How was that even possible. Reaching for the keys that were stuffed away at her hip, the woman threw her legs around the body of a motorcycle.
Speeding down the highway, she coasted to a gentle rolling stop before she popped herself off the bike. Sure enough, her phone, which she had forgotten about while driving, lit up. The bus wasn't going to show? The phone told her that. Asking her, yet again, if she wanted to play, Ellaine said yes. This time it told her to go to another bus stop, one that had a direct route to the subway.
Petal to the metal, she revved the engine and took off toward her next destination. This one wasn't as bad. She would make up a lot of time by slipping through the park and taking a few dark alleyways. As she calculated, she arrived with three minutes to spare. Taking a quick pit stop, she rushed onto the bus, taking it to the subway. As the bus door opened and dropped her and a mob of other people off, Ellaine shot a panicked look down at the phone. Where's the message! It was almost as if it heard her because the next thing she knew, it was ringing.
Confused? No, that was hardly the word to use. But, nonetheless, she answered. That same voice was conducting her again. Grand Central Station. That was the next stop and she had to get there in twenty-two minutes. It would take that long, so Ellaine seized that little window of time to stuff her face full of some fast food. The Whooper Jr., though not the best food in the world, was certainly heavenly to her starving stomach.
Grand Central Station was a mess. The intercom was alive and barking out orders. It spoke of delays and it even yelled as some little kid who had, apparently, 'pantsed' a man. Ignoring it, Ellaine made her way to the star-marked door. The looming and ceaseless flight of stairs seemed to go on for hours. Sure enough, when the bottom finally came up, she heard the chattering sound of muffled voices.
Kicking the door open, Ellaine's red eyes fixed on a mob of young looking adults. And kids? There were kids? Scoffing, she spat at the floor as she brushed past a red-nosed whiny kid. Look for a ride, it told her. A ride? Pffft, that was all too easy. She would pick the one closest to her. A train. No, it was packed. She wanted to ride solo. Looking for a more suitable ride, Ellaine strolled over to what appeared to be an abandoned railcar. Not a soul was inside, so the white-haired woman took it upon herself to claim this piece.
As her rump rested on the leather cushions, she heard a few other people pass by. Those red eyes of hers sent more of them packing, but a few lingered around, curious as to who she was and why she was so intent on traveling alone.
Sure enough, two people dared to lay foot on her turf. Annoyed, she rolled her lips up and opted to giving the new riders the cold shoulder.
Very descriptive stuff you have presented me, but I must say I couldn't help but laugh at the pairing suggestion girly man x manly girl. For reasons that are unknown to me I couldn't stop laughing. Maybe it is because it's so early in the morning. Either way, you have some amazing things someone could go off of for a decent rp, as for falling in love easily. I hear you there, loud and clear.
I'm not sure of what I want to role play about, I'm in the state of mind that any RP for me would suffice, but I do like indepth detail which you are abundently giving. So I guess plot and pairing is something of an issue.
Obeying her suggestion, Nick weaved his way between the people that were in their crowded little area. It was so much easier to sift between the people with Gavyn atop him as he didn't have to worry about losing her. Being freakishly tall compared to the others in the area, Gavyn had to look like a princess riding a dragon. The look in her eyes wasn't something one could just make up. No, it was genuine and real. A few people pointed to the pair and smiled. It was nice to see siblings play with one another, or at least that's what the people whispered.
As he reached the bar, he plopped the slender woman on the ground before patting his matted hair back to its usual messy style. Arm going around her neck, as he didn't want anyone to steal her out from under his nose, he brushed back the cloth door that lead to the inner workings of the pub.
Signaling a waiter with a three-fingered wave, the pair was approached by a handsome looking male that wore a nice pair of swords on his hip. A bit hesitant, Nicholas let Gavyn go forward with the man before he brought up the rear. It would be better for the woman to distract the surly looking man.
Seated at the bar, Nick nodded to the waiter when he asked if they would need a few minutes to figure out their order. The same green-eyed man had actually taken his shift off to accompany the two - Nick and Gavyn - for lunch. Rolling his eyes, Nick spat a few rude comments to the male.
"Tch, is this town not big enough for you?"
"Silence your tongue. I know who you are. Both of you," his eyes flickered in the dim bar's light. "I've been following your group for a while now. I'm a part of the resistance. I'm on your side," he said placing a hand on Gavyn's on dainty fingers. "The name if Michael Allen Kirk. I'm hoping I can be of assistance to you and the fair lady."
"Pffft, I have no idea what you're talking about. You better stop spreading lies, mister."
"Were you not at Dawn Castle yesterday? Was it not you that arrived first? And the message you wrote on the wall... does that language mean nothing to you?"
"Uhhhh..." Nick's attention drifted to the bartender. "I'll have whatever you recommend." Continuing to ignore Michael, he hoped that this ruffian would just up and leave. How was he to be certain that this green-eyed male wasn't really a la'Ronk spy?

Home, sweet home. She welcomed the warm puff of air that ruffled her hair as she stepped into the living room. Tossing her purse onto the brightly colored chair, the fiery haired woman stepped around a sleeping cat and wandered into the kitchen. Lips puckered, she quenched her thirst by down a pint of cranberry juice. It was so refreshing.
Turning on her heels, the woman wandered into the back of her house where she would be found getting ready for bed. She had a long day ahead of her tomorrow and she couldn't afford to miss a wink of sleep over it.

The Morning of the 30th day of Seavenden, 951 ASD
Stationed in the city of Facil, it made sense that Akiyama had not receive his letter until two days before he needed to arrive. Looking at his friends, Kaegin and Cailynn, he let out a deep sigh before he turned his hands in the air.
"How is it that I was stationed in Facil during this time. It's really going to be a..." he was cut off when a playful punch landed on his cheek.
"Oh stop fussing! If the High Queen requests you, just go!"
"Kaegin, have you forgotten the time it takes to travel there?"
Practically choking on the piece of dried meat he was eating, Kaegin frowned. He had forgotten it would take a great many weeks to travel to the High Queen. With the option of travel crossed off the list, the brunette scoffed before he elbowed his dark-haired friend. Oh how he loved to toy with his beloved friend.
"I think someone should use a Transportation Spell."
Flailing his arms in rebuttal, his fingers gripped onto Kaegin's collar. Glaring at him with those brilliant blue eyes, Akiyama scoffed. It was just his luck that he would have to use such a means of transportation. He would rather face the wrath of the High Queen than have to be put through the pains of such a spell.
"I really would prefer not to go through that again," he said while rubbing his temples. "Besides, I'm not sure my fellow kin would appreciate the foul stench associated with my inability to keep my innards inside."
"Are you telling me you..."
"It was pretty gross. I don't think I've ever seen something quite so nasty!"
"You were there?"
"Of course not, I just heard stories."
"... then how are you able to comment," Cailynn chided. His short-cut black hair danced about in the wind and his tongue ran over his white teeth. Turning his attention to his silent comrade, Cailynn patted the lad on the back (one might add it was out of pity). Giving him his full support, the purple-eyed fellow tried to ease his sickly companion's feeble mind with some words that might boost the man's distrust in magic. Key word obviously being might.
"Heed no attention to Kaegin. He's just trying to worry you. You will be fine. We shall assist you in finding the perfect Transportation Spell. We are in Facil, after all. There is bound to be some mage that can assist you."
Nodding his head, Kaegin looped an arm around Akiyama and tugged him away toward the magical institution. It was just on the horizon before them. Munching on the dried meat, the trio would eventually make it to the city by early afternoon. With Akiyama taking up a sloth-like pace, it seemed like it would take much longer to get there. Thankfully, Cailynn and Kaegin were latched onto the purple-haired male, dragging him all the way to Facil.
The Afternoon of the 30th day of Seavenden, 951 ASD
Finding a mage was a simple task. Weeding through the sea of them, the trio finally spied a man who seemed to be ideal for the job. When Kaegin explained to the magical man how his friend needed to report to duty, he sorcerer could only laugh. Although it was common for people to get sick from transporting from one place to another, he had never been told a story where a man, a knight to the High Queen nonetheless, had actually experienced the displeasure of vomiting. One would have assumed that having such a title would prevent him from having to endure such a thing.
Nonetheless, un a heartbeat, the man agreed to assist the knight. Fighting back, as if he stood a chance against his two friends and a, now, slightly annoyed magician, restraints were finally brought forth and used to keep Akiyama from fleeing the area.
Whimpering like a dog, those large blue eyes of his pleaded that his friends find a better way to get him from Facil to Amberlin-Pastine. It was almost as if they didn't notice! No matter how many yelps and whines crested his mouth, no one would show him an ounce of attention.
Finally fed up with their rude antics, Akiyama opened his mouth to belittle the group. To his dismay, the moment his jaw opened, a bottle was presented. The cool flask kissed his chapped lips and washed down the distasteful breath that had been brought about from eating salty, smoked meat. Although it was refreshing and, shockingly, not as bitter as he recalled, the male reached out in a final attempt to beg for mercy.
But, he was too late! A quick shove pushed into into the portal. Phasing in and out of time, Akiyama's body became ghostly, almost as if he were being sucked into another dimension. With the final remnants of Akiyama's psyche vanishing from the air, the three men - Kaegin, Cailynn, and the mage - rejoiced and wished Akiyama a safe journey.
Unlike last time, his journey ended up being much more pleasant. Perhaps it was the liquid he drank before the shoving? Nonetheless, he had arrived far too early and didn't want to be pegged as one of those 'suck-ups' so he opted to wander about town and indulge in the finer flavors of life. Of liquor....
The Late Evening of the 30th day of Seavenden, 951 ASD
When his sapphire eyes peeled open, a field of luscious green grass tickled his cheeks. Dizzy, Akiyama stammered to his feet. Unable to stay upright, he dropped to his knees and began his crawling toward the capitol.
That was some liquor, he thought to himself. And what was this? He was no longer in town? Knowing his dumb luck (or lack there of), he had stumbled out of the city and found his way the outskirts of his destination. Although it wasn't a long walk, it would take about a day for Akiyama to recover from his nasty little hangover. His head was pounding and stomach turning over on itself. The unpleasant taste of stomach acid lined the inside of his cheek. A moan pursed his lips before he spilled the contents of his lunch on the ground.
"Why me?" he said as he kicked himself onto his back to peer up at the dark clouds that passed on above him.
The Mid Afternoon of the 32nd day of Seavenden, 951 ASD
Passing out. Really? He couldn't fathom such a foolish idea. Was it really possible that he went cold after the little alcohol? He knew he was a lightweight, but this was just ridiculous!
Eyes flicking open, he glared at the woman that hovered over him. "What is today?" he panted.
"Teeheehee, today is the 32nd day of Seavenden."
"I thank you for your hospitality, but I must leave now. I have a deadline to not fail... for once!"
Popping from the bed, the male rushed to slip on his shoes. When he noticed that his body was naked, a deep blush graced his cheeks. Covering himself, a failed attempt might I add, he hurried to dress himself so that he was no longer indecent before the woman, who was actually quite giddy at the whole scene.
When his attire was on and without any backward parts, the male bows and then made his grand exit.
The cobblestone below his feet was nice. Turning toward the location he was required to be present at, Akiyama smirked. Let us hurry so that we are not late! (The us, if you were wondering, refers to Akiyama and the Scythe of Destiny.)
Skidding across the floor the split second the doors flung open, the blue-eyed man slid past Ira and Kite. Unable to grip the floor with his shoes (they were not idea for slippery surfaces and it didn't help that they were severely warn), Akiyama collided into the pillar that was directly in his path.
"Mmm mokmy," he said with his lips still kissing the pillar before him.

I always love the odd role reversals. Where the boy acts more like a woman and the woman acts more like a man. I also enjoy my comedic roleplays as they tend to be the most entertaining.
Thank you for the compliment. I tend to get carried away from time to time with my posts. It happens when you fall in love with it. Although not all my posts are long, most of them still match that level of description.
As long as a plot is interested and entertaining, I can pretty much just go with the flow. Setting is usually important, too. I don't have a real preference as to what I like, but I know Earth-based roleplays are a little easier than fantasy world ones. I think the key to a successful roleplay lays in the characters. TV shows are always getting canceled because of the characters. So long as I'm presented with an interesting fellow, I'm sure we could work anything out.

Hmmm. Nothing really caught my eye. I'm in a bit of a rut lately, which is making it hard to find a roleplay to join in. I'll look over them again, but, at this point in time, I didn't see anything that really piqued my interest. Sorry. :[
I agree, at times I just dive myself into a role play to the point I just seem to go on and on. But like I said, I never lose detail, I've had my fair share of empty paragraphs through out my day to not like it at all.
When it comes to character and plot, both are essential to make an RP function, but I think if both are well seasoned with enough interest to make both parties head explode with amazingness, the RP can go a long way. The setting however could be anything from modern/fantasy, to just plain modern.
I enjoy any RP that are character enhancing, something to develop not only the story but the characters as a whole. I've also developed things I call Key Stones that I throw into the RP's I have, some thing I work with the other person with which will be used later on. It is very hard to maintain a constantly moving RP especially with only two people unless you double up. So I created key stones as a "Gap in time" Kind of telling what has happened since the last time, throwing in a key twist to give the RP a new edge to work off.
Yeah, I hate it when my posts get on the pathetic side. If I get in that rut, I usually don't post until I'm out of it. Or I just apologize upfront for the horrendous posts. Ha ha.
Sometimes it's really hard to find someone who's that amazing to roleplay with. I've been looking for a partner like that for a long time now. I have found some, but I could always use more. :)
Well, I don't like to brag if I am good or not, but I've been RP'ing a long time to know that the best kind of RP is one you can gain from. Especially when they are long term. I'm a heavy believer of quality over quanity, I just happen to have both and from what I've seen so have you. My friend used to tell me that Posts are like short skirts, long enough to cover everything, but short enough to keep you interested.
Always made me laugh. But if you're willing to work with me on something, maybe we could wrestle out a setting and plot for a long term RP? Create new characters, or old ones to develop from. Which ever is really fine with me.
I just read that quote yesterday. I thought it was a pretty good way of putting it. Ha ha.
But yes, I would love to hash something out. I can say my current craving would be something on the comical side of life. Maybe a twist of romance and horror. Action, drama, and adventure are always welcome, too.
As far as setting goes, we could either use any of my current roleplay settings. Some are more developed than other. Or we could keep to Earth, which wouldn't involve much effort. Or we could make up our own, which could be a lot of fun.
Characters. Now that's a toughy. Do you happen to play more than one? I think it would be fun to use an older character and a newer one. But that's just me.
Also, where are you hoping this roleplaying takes place - Mene, AIM, MSN, PM, etc?
I haven't done a comical RP in a while, so that sounds nice, maybe throw in some adventure, romance while we're at it.
As for setting, I want to take the fun approach and work one with you. I don't like taking the easy way, it isn't as fun as the hard way.
I'd have to agree with you on the characters though, there are several I haven't RP'd in forever, Some are vampire's, one of them is a Were-Leopard, I have an insane multi-personality serial killer as well. But if we plan on doing an older developed character will it be yours, or mine that will be taking that role?
As for the place, whichever is most convienant for you.
Awesome. It'll pretty much be a movie. Ha ha. A little bit of this, that, and the other. Just the way I like it. A nice little mix up.
Great. I was hoping we could hash out a map of sorts. If possible, I would love to go all out for this. :3 Even with the profiles. I have really taken a liking to doing something like the following...
I was actually wondering if you wanted to play both. As in, there will be at least four characters. That way you can pick an old one and make a new one, and I'll do the same. It'll give us some comfort as well as something to work on.
I, personally, prefer this site. It's a distant cousin to this one. I just like the layout of the roleplays better. And the character profiles are neat, too.
Well, I can play either as well, but I really don't want to think about what genders because that would restrict our brain storming as to what we want our plot to be and our setting.
For the picture thing, If you can do that it would be awesome. I don't have CCS on my computer so I can't really make a profile unless there was a site I could go to and do it.
True, true. But I'm trying to figure out which characters I want to pull out. Ha ha. Most of mine are men only because so few people can play men these days (at least girls don't like playing opposite their gender).
X3 That suits me splendidly! Afanassii is a very feminine boy and he prefers stronger and larger women. It would be an honor to be able to play part of this pairing with you!

All righty! Do you have a preference as to what site we do this on? And what kind of plot shall we go with? And setting?
