Scholar - Alright. I don't know anything about the fight with Grindelwald, so you'll have to forgive me if I make a mistake or two xD
I would prefer we have a plot to work with, or atleas the beginning of a plot. I've never been any good with 'winging it' scenario's.
As for characters, I'm not entirely sure. Are we doing gay, straight or lesbian?

sdgfam08 - Awesome, which one?

Fiona_Watergate 12-01-2011 03:08 AM

well I don't really care. I've really only played the first two, but I'm willing to read anything about the others. What were you thinking of? I'm really up for anything.

Sunday Roast 12-01-2011 03:16 AM

Ah, okay. Well I'm only familiar with tactics and V. But I think something set in the V's region would be grand.

Fiona_Watergate 12-01-2011 03:20 AM

okay I'll see what I can come up with ^_^

Sunday Roast 12-01-2011 03:25 AM

Though characters from any of the games could be involved.

Hm, let's see... How about a straight romance, using the Pureblood/Muggleborn conflict? Though it'd be fun to start with the characters as first-years, it would just take faaar to long to get to anything interesting, so we could assume that they've been in school for five or six years already. A Slytherin Muggleborn who's hiding his/her blood status, and a Pureblood from another house who hasn't really thought about the conflict that much... Sound good? I'm happy playing either character, either gender.

Basic plot outline:

- the characters have known each other through classes for a while, but have barely spoken, barely know each other;
- the political conflict that is escalating draws their attention;
- as students are forced to "take sides," they realize they're on opposite sides;
- in the midst of this, love blossoms in any one of a number of ways.

Sunday Roast 12-01-2011 03:45 PM

I usually play a female in straight pairings and I'm happy to double up, playing two characters keeps things interesting in my book. Character wise, I've started refusing to play Gryffindor and Slytherin characters as that's all anyone ever plays. I have a few Ravenclaw characters and a couple from Durmstrang too.

How would the two interact with one another if they've never really spoken?

Fiona_Watergate 12-01-2011 07:48 PM

hello love how are you?

Sunday Roast 12-01-2011 08:10 PM

Hey. Good, you?

Fiona_Watergate 12-01-2011 08:14 PM

I'm well.
I should have everything I need to start our rp tonight. <3

Sunday Roast 12-01-2011 08:17 PM

That's great =) What characters are we using?

Fiona_Watergate 12-01-2011 08:18 PM

I don't know yet. I figure there are so many to choose from <3
I'll let you know tonight. <3

Sunday Roast 12-01-2011 08:32 PM

Alright then.

Hm, well, I'm not particular about what house the characters are in. Gryffindor and Slytherin are just convenient because we have more detail about the physical Houses. If you're the female character, would you be the Pureblood or Muggleborn?

I would think that some situation in class would force them to work together -- maybe a group project type thing?

Sunday Roast 12-02-2011 04:04 PM

Most of my females are pureblood Ravenclaws, usually on the Quidditch team.

Yeah, I've done that sort of thing many times before and it always works well. What sort of project though? I'd rather it wasn't potions. Herbology maybe? Dada?

scholar 12-03-2011 02:16 AM

DADA project, so we can have nice long discourses on good and evil within the context of the war in the background. Okay, then my character is a male Hufflepuff who is trying to hide his Muggleborn status, is not on the Quidditch team, and in fact is rather bad with broomsticks (of all kinds, *snicker*). Would you like to create the RP and OOC threads, or shall I?

Also, just to warn you, while I try to check Mene every day, I don't always have time to (or notice that a full day has passed since I last checked... seriously. My sense of time passing is, er, rather odd. :D). I'm in the GMT +9 time zone if we ever want to schedule a rapid-fire exchange.

Oh, we also need to agree on who the teachers are, or do you just want to let each of us make them us as our characters encounter them? I'm open to either route.

Sunday Roast 12-03-2011 02:55 AM

No such thing as good and evil! Just differences of opinions xD Bad with broomsticks? Is that just an excuse to get out of doing his chores at home? =D We're having two threads? Either way, would you mind? I've only just gotten back from work and I'm not sure how much longer I'll be online.

It's fine, I'm the same. Nine hours? So that would make it almost noon where you are?

If this is set when Dumbledore was younger, surely we'd have to make up our own teachers? Unless some were mentioned?

scholar 12-03-2011 03:22 AM

Professor Dippet is probably around -- let's make him the Charms teacher. And Sirius' great-great whatever it was.... Phineas Nigellus Black as Headmaster, I would hazard.

Wow, I totally got my eras mixed up there. We're talking 1940 here, not 1840.

*trots off to set up threads* I do love RPing Harry Potter! It's such a great world.

Sunday Roast 12-03-2011 03:47 PM

I'll just take your word on it xD

Let me know when there all set up.

scholar 12-04-2011 07:57 AM

Ack, I set them up and forgot to post the links here! *headdesk*

xD Thanks. I'll get around to replying later on tonight after I've done the others I owe replies.

Fiona_Watergate 12-06-2011 12:34 AM

hey can we do a dragon human rp instead. I can't come up with anything for the other.

Sunday Roast 12-06-2011 03:24 AM

Sure, if you want.

Fiona_Watergate 12-06-2011 05:56 PM

okay.
Do you want to be male or female
and witch would you rather be the human or the dragon?

Sunday Roast 12-07-2011 03:23 AM

I'd rather be female, but I'm more than happy to double up.
I've no preference to that, though I have played quite a few dragons before.
