I have been looking for a good 1x1 fantasy RP for awhile now and would really like to get one going. Now a bit about me and my "rules"....

~I am literate, meaning I have a wide vocabulary and know how to use proper punctuation and spelling. I expect the same from my partner
~I typically post a good 2-5 paragraphs. It really depends on how much my partner can give me.
~I will never presume to control your character and I expect the same courtesy. I get to decide how my characters reacts, not you.
~I can post multiple times a day and would ideally like to have my partner able to post twice a day, though I would settle for a single post a day. (I understand if you must miss a day, I just don't want to go days without getting any kind of reply)
~I play females and am looking for someone to play a male character.
~I do not double. I have no problem playing temporary NPCs but I will only play one main character. If you would like to play two, I am open to that. (oooh, I hear a love triangle!?)
~I believe I good story should have action, adventure, drama, comedy and romance. I want it all! Yes, yes, I know, I expect so much.
~I like to talk OOC!
~I only RP in private threads or over email.
~I like to pretty up my posts and I'd like you to do the same (at least a picture).
~I do very basic profiles before starting. I prefer to allow my character to develop as I play her, not decide everything ahead of time.

Here are some pairings where I have a specific character already in mind that I'd like to use. I have bolded the role I would like to play. I have a few plots in mind, but we can discuss that over PMs.

Warrior/Sorceress
Sorcerer/Sorceress
Master/Apprentice
Elf/Human

I'm up for all sorts of different pairings as well, so just sent me a PM or post here if you're interested and we'll figure something out. (please include a sample of your work)

Here are some samples of my writing.

It was still dark when Sir Walter and Kara arrived at the inn. They found someone to handle the horses and Kara followed Walter into the inn. He did not stop but made his way directly up the stairs and down a long hall, stopping at the last door. He knocked once, paused, then three more times. They were ushered inside quickly by another man who shut and bolted the door behind them. There were six men in the room, scattered about variously and with their arrival the room only became more cramped. It was a dark room and difficult to make out their faces and so she couldn't have recognized them even if she knew them, but Kara didn't care. To her, it didn't matter who these people were, she hated them. They had rooted her up and dropped her into this strange and unknown life.

Walter stepped forward, "Hello friend, tis good to see you all here. I present you with miss Kara, our second champion." He stepped to the side, revealing the woman who had been mostly obscured by himself until now. The men nodded at her and Walter waved one of them over,"Dante, come and meet with Kara. Kara, this is Dante, he is the other champion. The two of you will be companions in this mission."Walter then moved to sit with the other men, probably planning their next move.

Kara looked Dante up and down, scrutinizing every inch of him. The way he stood and the air about him in general just screamed that he was a soldier. Walter had mentioned that he had experience in war. She crinkled her nose, not exactly looking forward to working with someone she considered and authority figure. However, she held out her hand in greeting, "Kara Eversnow."

Kara wondered if this Dante was excited, or "honored" by this opportunity to serve his dead King. All soldiers she had ever met seemed like mindless idiots, throwing their lives away for someone they didn't even know. These thoughts once again brought up the question of why she was there. For all she cared the Red Hands could have the damned country. Why had she come? Why hadn't she convinced her mother and father to simply flee into the forest? They could survive there and no one would ever bother them. She sighed inwardly, angry at the situation in general.

Katarina's long, jet colored hair whipped around her in a frenzy as she stepped from the carriage. Her silvery armor glistened in the faint sunlight that was streaming through the trees. She took a moment to take in the scenery. It had been quite a few years since the emissary had been to this part of Leateska but a sight such as this was hard to forget. The coach had stopped before a large stone wall with a giant, ornate archway seemingly created by two oaks with branches dancing and twirling around one another in an intricate pattern. A simple dirt path twined its way through this archway, leading past it towards what seemed like only more foresting.

Katarina took this dirt path, passing through the magnificent structure, which was far too narrow for a carriage. As she climbed the somewhat steep path, she thought on her mission. She had been told that the four nations had come to an agreement, to each send two people of their choosing to meet in Tourmac in order to work together to come up with some answers to the recent disasters. They were to find out as much as they could and if possible, put a stop to it. There were no current leads and there was no real information. The Aeryth King claimed that they had been keeping track of their seismic activity and would supply that information. However, the group was meeting in Tourmac mainly to begin their search in their extensive library. If there was any information to be had, it would be there.

At last, she reached the top of the path and stared down into a small valley. It was hard to tell that a city lay below. As she made her way down, houses could be seen, in the trees. The walls and ceilings were formed by branches of the trees intertwining. It was said that the elves sang to the plants to get them to grow like they did. While the nation was ruled by a human king, most of the population was made up of the elves. As she entered the mostly quite town, a young elf boy came running up to her.

"Are you Mistress Katarina?" The boy looked up at her with wide eyes. It was not very common to see elven children. Because of their extended lifespan, it seemed they were not quite as fertile.

She smiled at the young boy, "Yes, I am. I suppose you've been sent to fetch me to the King's court?"

He nodded, a happy grin on his face and grabbed her hand as he giggled and began pulling her down the path. She followed, the houses rushing past them as he hurried her along. Soon enough, they were in front of a pair of large, ornate wooden doors. The boy pulled a cord hanging near the door and the doors slowly swung inwards. Inside was a glade with a sparkling fountain in the center. It bubbled up and up, falling in a cascade, creating little radiant prisms everywhere. There was a large glass dome for the ceiling, ivy creeping across it in places. Flowers of all seasons and nations surrounded the room and some of the rarest types of trees seemed the thrive here. It was the most perfect of gardens.

There was a tugging at her arm and she was snapped from her reverie. "Follow me, I'll show you where you will be sleeping during your stay. There will be time to rest before you need to meet the King." He took the hall to the left and led her down a long corridor, through a few turns that she was sure to remember and stopped at one hall. Down it were many small sets of stairs to the left and right, leading up to large doors. He ushered her to the third one on the right, "This one will be your room. Here is a key, to ensure your privacy. If you need anything, simply pull the rope near the door and someone will be along shortly. You can rest for now. Someone will come and get you when it is time to see the King in the throne room. After that, dinner will be served."

Katarina nodded and thanked him. She turned to the door as he hurried off and tried the handle, finding it unlocked. She entered, finding what looked like a hanging basket. On closer inspection, she found it to be exactly that. The basket grew right from the ceiling and was filled with large pillows. This was the bed and it looked more comfortable than anything she'd ever seen before. There was a large chest in the corner and a window that looked out over the entire city. She found a door that led into what appeared to be a bath room. She removed her sword, cape and armor, leaving her in her simple cotton tunic and leggings. As she stepped up into the bed and fell into its fluffiness, she found herself soon dozing.
