I am Ri'Staraa - a man of many convenient talents who hails from the lustrous city of Calimport in Faerun. I love a good deal, a great adventure and ... stimulating companionship. Please, come in! My home is small, but it houses the finest comforts my world has to offer. Before you and I converse, have a seat on my silk cushions and I'll fetch some figs for us." The young man who had greeted you takes a peek to his left, where your own eyes might be drawn afterward. A wry smile spreads across his features as he looks away from he hookah there and back to you, his visitor. Aaah... yes. While I admire your interest, I'd have to first make certain you were of age and ready to partake in such delights." He winks. "If not, then I have many other pleasures that I'm sure will delight you just as well..." ((I suppose that's enough of that for now. XD While Ri is one of my role playing characters, feel free to refer to me by that name as well - it makes it a bit easier to know who everyone is speaking of. This not to say that this rebellious little Arab is the only character I play - far from it, in fact! I'm a well-seasoned gamer (on and off forums) who was raised with Dungeons & Dragons (Ri's origin) and Battletech. I'm open to playing in any variety of settings with any variety of genders and any variety of themes (love? romance? tragedy? violence?) and I will definitely create a new character for a game if asked. In fact, it is far easier for me to say what I am not willing to do. And that is the following:

~ Characters ~ * A Note: What is the Kinsey scale? This is a system that I have been using to make quick notes on my characters' sexualities. You can learn more here: Kinsey scale - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ~ Ri'Staraa ~ Dungeons and Dragons Attributes: SPOILERRace: Air Genasi Air genasi - NWN2Wiki, the Neverwinter Nights 2 wiki - Races, classes, skills, and more Air Genasi - AmiaWiki Class: Rogue (L7) Battle Dancer (L2) (Battle Dancer is a class my husband created - they use a skill called "Combat Cadence" to grab attention and get bonuses to hit an opponent. They can also cast spells up to 4th level, only in stead of casting with music as a Bard does, they use their dance. I can give you more information if you request.) Age: 17 Birth Date: 10/7 Appearance: Stands at 5'10, weighs 130lbs. His skin is a grayed-out brown hue from living in the desert all his life and he has gray eyes and cerulean blue hair. His skin is always a bit cool to the touch and his eyes always seem cold and distant. He wears flowing silk layers of Arabian style in his free time and dark "shadowy" armor when out adventuring. He is intrigued by magical items and collects staves and wands and carries several items to enhance his roguish skills - like a pair of goggles to make searching easier. His prized possessions are a pair of short swords which are always at his hips; they are magically enhanced with lightning energy. ("shock") Kinsey scale rating: 6 Ri is the first completely gay character that I've played in years. The Kinsey scale rating for all 3 characters I made up for my husband's game were all randomly rolled with a D6 and the other two ended up somewhere in the middle (which is where I usually have my characters when I choose their ratings, and is generally more realistic IMHO) Personality: As an Air Genasi, he is typical in some ways. He is haughty and believes that his element is best, but also holds the same high regard for his homeland of Calimshan. This is not to say that he is overtly rude - any harsh words he would have for someone would remain within his own mind unless he was quite close to them. Calimport society is all about respect and protocol, and as such, he cowtows to his elders and betters and expects others to do the same when it is appropriate. He is obsessed with becoming in touch with his ancestors who gave him his elemental gifts, and this is the single most common inspiration for his adventuring. And as such, he is attracted to anything that shares a bond with Air. (Things with wings or natural ability to levitate or call upon wind, etc...) As far as Romance goes, here we need another warning. He is flirtatious - even with women! But his flighty Genasi nature leads him to loose interest really fast and so he can wander from conversations and also only rarely says with one sexual partner. In Calimport, there are brothels abound, so he never found a reason to settle down and be bored if he could just pay for what he needed if he couldn't find it elsewhere. Of course, if the right partner came along, he could certainly be persuaded to stay around.... He is attracted to "manly" men far more than girly ones, and so is often drawn to older partners. He is also devious in courtship - he likes to make his partners crazy with desire. He'll do some chasing but prefers to be chased - but is neither a top nor a bottom entirely. ~ Fandoms I'm into ~ Warning: Not a very good chance I'll do some strange pairings that don't make sense for the characters IMHO (such as RobinXCyborg from Teen Titans or YukiXMomiji in Fruits basket) Feel free to ask, just don't be surprised if I'm like O.e and say, "um.. sorry, no..." Just one big 'ol list in Alphabetical order for quick searching.

Elves and southern magi are the only magic usesers. half elfs have a chance of having magic but its weaker. magic and sciance are used in partnership.

Good Lord, where have you been all my role-playing life?
So, first things first. Are you still looking for a role-play/partner? I am available to post once a day, sometimes more, sometimes less. Before I start throwing ideas at you randomly, maybe you could just click the link in my signature and see what I'm about first. It's my request thread. If you aren't interested in my style or role-play ideas, just say so! No big deal. I'd much rather you be honest than us both end up in a lame role-play. [;)] |
I'm just getting internet back, and letting you know that sometimes it dies on me. But I'm addicted to role playing and trying to keep up with the stories i get involved with, including keeping the details straight. I definetly would be posting at least once a week. I tend to reply whenever I see a reply to the thread.
As for fandoms- not typically a big fan... I'd rather use my Own characters. Though I like the worlds of many a fandom. Now Dungeons and Dragons though! I love it. Raised on it. Would love to do an adventure of some kind perhaps. Perhaps an old abandoned castle that you can not escape until you find a certain artifact. And once you enter you are in a 'parrallel' world... on the ghost side. So there are all manners of undead creatures wandering the halls and secret passages of the place. |
