The World of Amahani: A Series of Long-Term Fantasy RP Searches!

Trust me, I know it's a lot below this post, but don't think you have to memorize everything! It's more of a reference tool for later.

Who am I?

My name is Tachigami. I'm also known as Tachi, Gizmo, and Wolfie. Use whatever you like. I'm a writer that's never been published but I work on my ability all the same. So I more or less spend most of my time here. Looking for RPs. While I have writer's block, which is rare, so I'm working both on my writings and RPs. I spend a lot of time here, and have spoken to quite a few people though they may not remember me. Although I'd like to be a friend as well, it's nice to spend time talking between RP posts, is it not?

Rules?

They're simple!
  1. I prefer no romance, but just about everything else is preferred.
  2. I wish for good grammar and spelling! It's not hard. I know no one's perfect and sometimes you don't catch some errors, so that's just fine! Just try your best
  3. Be around at least once a day. If you can't, let me know! If you're going off for more than a few days, let me know! I'm patient, but I like to be kept up to date, know?
  4. I love to read. Give me a good few paragraphs and I'll be happy to do the same! I don't like one-liners.
  5. Don't look to me to force the plot along or bring in twists. We both have to keep it moving!
  6. Bright colors are horrible. Mostly for my eyes. Please don't use them.
  7. Extremely small text is just as bad as bright colored font. Extremely large text? A bit annoying.
  8. If you lose interest in the RP, please let me know. Maybe we can revive it!
  9. I love long-term RPs. Long, winding things that twist in surprising ways.
  10. Ping me or PM me, I love both!

Amahani Lands

Grasslands: Draim
The grasslands of Amahani are large and rolling, taking up a good amount of the largest landmass of Amahani. They’re known as Draim to those that live there and those who travel there. Around the north and eastern borders, however, a large, harsh mountain range juts up and cuts off access to the ocean along that side. The majority of the mountains are generally covered with thick fog halfway up, ending in heavy cloud cover that keep the summits covered in thick snow all year round. Most of the grasslands get rain twice a year, and during the rest of this time, they resemble dry desert that’s easily flammable. Nomads tend to live here, but respect the land and always keep moving. No permanent settlements reside in the grasslands.

Fall Forest: Aniss
Located around the edge of Draim, the fall forest of Aniss stretches. Its environment is frozen in a perpetual autumn and since it’s in the area farthest away from the mountainous region, it gets little rain. However, it does house a large lake that feeds two small rivers that stretch through the grasslands and through the mountains. It serves as a hiding place for a good num-ber of animals and creatures, though the nomads that live in the grasslands tend to avoid it because it’s far too close-knit for their liking.

The Forest of Spring and Summer: Saemsea
In this large landmass, forests and plains of blooming, fresh flowers and ancient, bright green trees, cities and towns reign. Sepa-rated by extensions of the forests that are preserved and respected for their power and mystery, two kingdoms rule on either end of this land. They keep the peace by trading their goods, generally specific to their peoples’ abilities, but because of foreign threats that will never go away, their militaries are still active in patrols outside the city walls. The smaller villages are generally left alone. This forest is periodi-cally dotted with lakes, rivers and streams, and young mountains, usually rather dan-gerous if travelers don’t know their way. Quite a lot of rain falls, the weather varies from uncomfortably hot to comfortably cool, and flora is definitely not lacking. Few nomadic groups live here, but there is the occasional loner who makes their home alone, close enough to a village or town to trade their unique goods.

The Frozen Desert: Ruechar
Near the top of this world, a large, frozen desert reigns. There are few trees that can survive here, and even less in wildlife. Those who manage to eke out an existence here are extremely tough individuals, and their small permanent villages are close-knit. They wear very tough, thick leather and fur-based clothing, and distrust outsid-ers. Most foreigners die in the harsh, bar-ren desert, if not from the cold, from lack of food or water. The animals that survive there are vicious and tough-skinned, and are difficult to kill.
The Confusing Forest: Rue
Rue is a forest near the northern point of Ruechar, laid out on the base of a dormant volcano. The pollen that is released by the forest’s resilient vine-flowers confuses many who enter, and sometimes even the Ruecharians can’t stay in long without suf-fering the effects of the pollen. Rue hides a very sacred secret; only the Ruecharians know of it.

The First Desert: Fescha
The largest sand desert is Fescha, the single largest of a series of islands. The island chain is about two hundred miles off the south-western shore of Saemsea. A very large city resides here, with a series of small villages. Underneath the main city, a cavern of natural springs feed the city and its villages, brought up to the surface by piping systems. The city and its villages trade via ships, sending out extremely val-uable minerals mined from the deserts and precious cloths in exchange for food unable to be grown in the harsh, rainless environ-ment they live in. Fescha’s military is made up of voluntary citizens to create a militia, so during raids, the offenders are caught off guard more easily.

The Second Desert: Achida
Achilda is the second-largest desert of the island chain. From Achilda, most precious gems are mined and cut, and is its major export. One real city is here, accompanied by various small towns.

The Third Desert: Threo
This desert is generally unsettled. Rogues live here, who use very narrow land bridges to access the rest of the islands. For the most part there are no permanent cities, towns, or villages. Animals manage to live here much easier due to the clear water reservoirs, lack of loose sand, and brushy trees and places to escape the heat.

The Final Desert: Otan
Otan is absolutely uninhabited. It’s only fifty miles in diameter, and in its heat, the preserved ruins of an old civilization reign. It’s visited periodically by adventurers, but the reason behind the previous inhabitants’ vanishing has yet to be discovered.

The Perpetual Darkness: Itjas
Itjas is located at the bottom of this world, completely away from the sun and isolated. Its life thrives even in darkness, however, in very strange and sometimes sinister ways. Despite the dark, people and crea-tures do live here. Their eyes are adapted, and their bodies changed to survive well.

Amahani Cities and Oceans

Saemsea
A rather proper city and the largest of the world’s cit-ies. Very populated, the city caters to many other cit-ies, towns, and villages around them. The majority of those who live here are human with no real abilities outside music, art, architecture, and the making of high-end luxury foods. These, they export to other cities. The king of this city and kingdom is known as Mellin.

Staria
Staria is the sibling kingdom city of Saemsea. They’re less civilized and proper, and made up of various animal-based shapeshifters and demons. They’re earthy people, and their major exports include fruit and vege-tables, all grown within the villages and towns within their kingdom. They value close-knit families and re-spect the land for what it is and how easily it can change their lives. Queen Resovia rules this kingdom.

Ruecharia
This small settlement is the only one of Ruechar, the frozen wilderness atop the world. It’s rather isolated considering the harshness of its lands, and therefore doesn’t export any goods. It does, however, receive a lot of notice for being in such a place. Its people, who are shapeshifters who wear masks depicting the animal they change into, are well respected for their survival abilities. The leader of the clan is known as Rumi.

Fescha
This massive city is made of smooth yellow stone. It’s the second richest city on Amahani, reveling in their mineral-rich lands as, possibly, the largest goods ex-porter. The Kami (king) of this land is Marujin, and the Kota (queen) is Saiden.

Itjas
A strange place. Nestled in a crater within the land of Itjas, the city does tend to cater to those who come to them for various items. Usually the items are unique and specific to Itjas’ sunless existence, flowers and roots and black honey.

Bafril
A world underwater, this massive city is a legend. The merfolk who live here receive materials and foods from the surface worlds in exchange for fish otherwise unat-tainable by ship. The boy king who reigns over this land is Tavin.

Dramimian Ocean
The largest ocean. It spans a good amount of Amahani, separating Draim and Saemsea.

Feschian Sea
The Feschian sea houses the desert islands. It’s a bit turbulent even during calm days and is the home of quite a few large water-dwelling creatures.
Itjas Ocean
Itjas’s ocean is plagued with very unsavory creatures. Therefore, most trading ships are unable to come and go, making trading impossible unless small rowboats are employed from Itjas itself. The waters tend to be a dark iron gray or inky black.
Rucharian Ocean
The semi-frozen and very still water of Ruechar. It’s difficult for ships to get by, not that many do. The Ruecharians don’t have anything of use to anyone else, and they prefer to be left alone.

Notes:
Seperas, the sun god, is the eldest of the gods, yet resembles a man in his mid thirties. He seems to have always existed, and in loneliness, created the whole of the known universe and Amahani, in which he created all the races.

After the creation of every early race, Seperas became concerned that he would be overwhelmed with the pow-ers he possesses. So, he created the rest of the gods. This way they would have control over certain powers fully, and if he ever became arrogant or dangerous, he could be put back in line.

The gods of Amahani live in a paradise above the worlds and stars. When the good come to the end of their life, they are brought up to live in eternal peace and comfort in this realm. When the bad or dark-hearted die, they are sent to a world of eternal hatred and suffering as dark as their heart, which is overseen by the god of death, Cin.

Amahani Races and Special Beings

• Humans
Humans are generally normal. They live among all the cities, towns, villages, and nomadic tribes and groups. For the most part they have no special abilities outside crafting abilities, while some are able to control limited amounts of magic.
• Shapeshifters
Shapeshifters are generally human in appearance, but in place of normal ears, they have ears that resemble the animal they become. In some areas they wear masks depicting the animal as well. For the most part, Shapeshifters can change into one animal, mammal, reptile, amphibian, or aquatic creature. Sometimes there comes a Shapeshifter that tends to be able to change into just about any animal. They’re rare, however.
• Pixie
Pixies are of various elemental creations. They stand about ten inches tall and their wings resemble that of a hummingbird. Depending on their elemental power, they can live anywhere from forests to dry deserts or even in and around water. They’re rather mischievous and talkative, but can’t really keep their stories straight, and it’s not advised to go to them for the truth because they tend to spin tall tales and exaggerate.
• Sphinx
Sphinxes are equal halves human and lion. They’re very tall and their bodies are covered in fine fur. Their heads are that of a lion, their hands and feet home to very long, powerful claws and long tails. They mostly live in the desert islands, some employed to guard temples and treasure vaults for their impeccable intelligence and fierce fighting abilities.
• Reapers
Reapers are not entirely human. What little humanity they have is in their appearance. They wear complete black, cloaks that drag the ground and hoods that cover the face. Their faces, however, don’t seem to exist. Those who see it are too close, and are stolen of their souls. They are rare, and it’s said they come from Itjas. It can’t be proven, however.
• Staryas
Something like guardian angels, these creatures represent good and positivity. They are the opposite of Reapers, and therefore are enemies with the soul thieves. They’re very rare, however, more than the Reapers, and tend to go along with travelers to keep them safe in the guise of a human. Their positive energy wards off negative influences or dangers, including Reapers.
• Soulless
These can be anything with the appearance of a human. They are the living victims of Reapers, who keep their victims alive after taking their souls. Most soulless are employed as mercenaries or executioners for their lack of emotion and humanity.
• Elves
These creatures are one with the earth. They prefer living in small groups in warmer climates, so most live in the forests of spring and summer. They visit towns and cities for trading, but not much more. They’re skilled in both earth-based magic and archery, and know limited swordsmanship. They don’t believe in royalty or classes, considering everyone to be equal.
• Mist
These are spirit-like beings that move like mist through every land. They’re intimidating in height and appearance but rather friendly in reality. Not much is known of these creatures, other than they appear during foggy nights.
• Satyr
These creatures have the upper body of a human and the legs and horns of a goat. They’re relatively present in many areas, and are skilled in close-combat. Some tend to have large claws or the heads of goats. They’re very old, however, and rare to see.
• Naga
Naga are half snake, half human. They vary in color depending on where they prefer to live, but can usually change locations easily. Some live in water, so they can’t quite decide to move to a drier climate. They have various abilities that can extend from manipulation of weather to control over fire.
• Centaur
Half human and half horse. These creatures prefer to live alone and are not entirely dangerous or confronta-tional. They live at peace with the world and only travel in groups during certain specific times, these of which are unknown to all but them.
• Cerberus
These are three-headed dogs that live specifically in Itjas, but are sometimes seen in the desert. They’re very dangerous creatures and should not be approached unless it’s known how to deal with them. However, not many do.
• Griffon
Half eagle and half lion, these creatures are powerful and very loyal if you can gain their trust. They’re some of the most powerful fliers in the world, and vicious attackers, their front claws sharp and almost indestructible. If they manage to befriend you, they’ll never leave you and will be forever loyal.
• Cockatrice
These odd creatures are a mix of bird and reptile, rather hideous to look at. If one were to look into their eyes, they have the ability to turn living things into stone. They aren’t abundant, luckily.
• Dragon
The general dragon. They range in size of a small kitten to massive monsters, coming in various colors and races. Most dragons prefer to hoard and scare others away from their nests. Some more earthy dragons, or small dog or cat-sized, like to be around humans and others, or even be pets.
• Merfolk
Half human with the lower body of a fish. These stunningly beautiful creatures come in a multitude of colors and tones. They’re helpful in fishing for the creatures out of reach of those who reside on dry land, and in turn are given precious gems or metals, or other items of beauty. They aren’t as arrogant or narcissistic as they appear.
• Siren
The Sirens are similar to merfolk, female for the most part. They sing beautiful songs so enticing it drives weak-minded humans mad, but if they’re able enough to find these creatures, they’ll be devoured. Sirens tend to perch on or live in small islands that dot the oceans.

Amahani Special Beings

((These beings are NPC and can be controlled by anyone))

• Whindego
Freezing spirit-based creatures that live in Rue the Confusing Forest. They create snowstorms and heavy winds, and resemble transparent horses racing through the trees or across the land.
• Fates Three
The three fates, one man and two women, are ethereal creatures personally created by Seperas. Every moment in time is recorded in their vast memories, and they can predict and lay out certain events before they’re meant to happen. They reside in a temple atop the highest mountain in the range that borders Draim. It’s nearly impossible to get to, however, because of the wild dangers that reside along the mountains. The temple is like a maze, which makes it just as difficult to traverse, and has many traps set to deter those who wish to change their fate.
• Hydra
The Hydra is a three-headed ocean-dwelling serpent. It’s violent and always hungry, and resides in very deep crevices below the ocean waves. It tends to attack passing ships.
