Moonless

Moonless is a slice of life-ish Biopunk tale with Alter Ego elements.

That is to say your start as a newborn babe and grow up by answering the challenges I throw at you in the form of events followed by a question and gain skills, relationship and influences by doing so. Of course, things can get bad and out of control if you are unlucky or not careful enough!

The twist is that you are not human but the product of a hundred years old DNA manipulation that helped save your human ancestors by transforming then into the Roma, human-like wolves man that needs artificial light to stay sane as the moon was destroyed by a comet long ago, surrounding the earth with their residues and dust and hiding the sun away.

Only predators and those who can survive on lack of sunlight and insects still survive in this post-apocalyptic world. The roma are now feeding exclusively on meat and water and are brough up by drinking wolf milk. You will have to be tough to survive and even tougher to be one of the Romuli, the upper class of the Roma. You will be alone as Romuli society believe in proving yourself on your own, so you will be left alone as soon as you are born and able to get by.

Roma are usually only distinguishable from their defuct human ancestors by their pointier ears and teeths and stronger nails.

Romuli are the one living in the brightly lit New Rome and are often quite skilled in making themselves looks better than their rivals, as is the custom in their society.

Remi are second class citizen outcasted by their community, living on lantern lights on the outskirts of New Rome, the city where our story takes place.

When a Roma walk away from any light whatsoever, they transform into grotesque feral creatures and attract on sight. Those are called Garou and are very dangerous.
