Hello, I am a seasoned roleplayer looking for a new RP buddy (or two). My posts are always at least one paragraph long and any more depends on what you are giving me as well as a few other factors. I am open to a great many things in-character... In general, I am looking for “original” settings, with or without obvious inspiration from other fictional settings. For example, I have done a Gamer-inspired RP with serious alterations before. That said, there are not usually easily-identified inspirations for my roleplays and I have not done a fandom RP in many years. I don't plan on starting again any time soon. My Rps usually fall under some kind of fantasy, with varying degrees of realism. Medieval, modern, future, and alternate universe are all possibilities. More specific themes may include... -Pirate -Adventure -Royalty -Demons (including Seven Deadly Sins) -Survival (including post-apocalyptic as well as colonization/crash in hostile areas) -Vampire (don't even think about suggesting a Twilight-inspired RP to me) -Tribal Not many things are off-limits. I will note that most of my characters are male, romantically interested in other males. I am willing to be flexible and am willing to create new characters if need be. 4/17/13 Right now, I would like to have a modern/fantasy RP with a few global and local organizations that have the aim of keeping humans as oblivious as possible to the presence of non-humans... Think Men In Black but with demons, “angels,” vampires, werewolves, etc. as well as abnormal humans (pyrokinesis, telepathy, future sight, physical mutations, etc.)... OR a slightly futuristic fantasy RP, likely to be an origin story for a cyborg character of mine (this may include or exclude the same non-human elements as the modern RP)... OR a modern Seven Deadly Sins RP where the main characters are either working for or against Lucifer, either capturing/protecting the Sins or capturing/killing them More details will come if you are interested in this. PLEASE NOTE: I am taking any and all suggestions, no matter how generic or, on the other end of the spectrum, completely bizarre! Finally, this will be one on one and, for convenience, I'd prefer to RP over a messenger (which may be discussed once we have decided that we do, indeed, want to RP with one another). Further note: I prefer to have romance in my RPs. Don't be shy with your suggestions. The worst I will say is, "No, I'm sorry, I'm not interested in that." The thing is, I want a long-term RP if there's going to be meaningful relationships between our characters. What more? M/M preferred, but don't let that stop you. |

Well, we could run with a medieval/fantasy pirate RP. I have a plant-person who would make a wonderful, quirky pirate captain as well as a human character who, after being captured and escaping from a particularly evil first mate of a pirate ship, is hell-bent on hunting and killing pirates. I definitely would not put these two on the same ship, and you'll know why when/if you find out the human's origin story.
On the other hand, I do have other characters who would definitely have served time on a pirate ship, for their own reasons. Anyway, I could see a pirate RP that begins pretty generically, but rolls into something interesting, like an unknown island, a sea monster, or perhaps being forced into an area much like the Bermuda Triangle because of poor weather or something else. I really don't have any specific cravings at the moment... other than someone new to RP with! |
How interesting. I didn't of other races besides human when I heard you said Pirates. But they could be fun. Something different is always cool [mrgreen] I too have an idea for captain of a ship as well who would go against all odds to become top pirate despite gender and race discriminatory laws against her... I've been craving a new RP for the longest time! I feel now is a good time because I'm not as busy as I once was :) |

I would love to play the Sins with you, but a tweak on both your modern and futuristic ideas. A village, location and type undecided, is plauged by daemons, other worldly beings in the guise of humans who rape, kill and pillage (among other things), in a not so distant future where nature is beginning to fight back against those that would destroy it. Is it cool if you pick one to be yaoi and the other will be het!

I think you type very well, and I'd love to try a roleplay out with you. I don't really see anything on your updated list that is particularly calling out to me right now, though. If I link you to my request thread, would you be willing to take a look in my list and see if anything there catches your eyes, and we could go from there? I understand if you don't want to. ^u^ |
