CrimsonShadow: I love that we are on the same page! Small to big is my favorite way to go. We can see how our characters interact and get to know each others style before we start adding more onto it. I am glad you like the pictures. Have tons of them because of I love fantasy landscapes. I feel the second picture in my post kind of has that futuristic fantasy vibe to it. Personally, I just love the castle. It is so pretty [heart]! Don't worry about it. Reply when you can and however much you can. I am a fulltime college student with lots of activities I am in so I get on when I can. So I will do my best to post everyday. So do we want our characters to have a dark backstory, like they were once royalty until their kingdom was attacked and they were sent away when they were only infants. I am obsessed with that long lost heir to the throne plot. Or we could stick to a normal backstory that they are "middle class" villagers, and the last one is super cheerful. I personally like a mix. |
I do to!! I think it's the best way. Every time I've started out big it never works out...I hate that lol.
I completely agree with that! Oh I am the same way, they are so stunning and have so much to offer to a story. I love love love the second picture. We need to find more like that one:) I think we are going to have a good partnership lol Hmm.....I like a mix also. I like the idea that their long lost royalty and they were sent away. Are we going to have the whole world as fantasy? I kind of don't like humans...to bland for my tastes. The other add's spice! So they could be sent off to live with a middle class family? Then something happens and they find out who they really are. Oh boy this is going to be exciting! |
Oh! I would LOVE to do a one on one rp based off of Mortal Instruments: City of Bones! What do you think?
Sorry sorry, i will get things going. Things picked up at work and at least I can sit to relax right now.
CrimsonShadow: I would be happy to find more pictures like the second one since I love it. Would be nice to add more of them to my collection. I feel we will too. This will be fun! I say all fantasy, I love fantasy and it allows for so many possibilities. We could have technologically advanced people and some primal ones that live of the land. Don't worry though, I tend to find humans to be dull. I personally like elves a lot and dragons. Love the idea of them being middle class, maybe they had turned the right age that their adoptive parents told them they were adoptive. Then they could of decided to figure out who their true parents were? That is if you want to go a more normal route. Zimmerdale: I am still game for doing a roleplay based off of that. All I request that it is all original characters and story. So I would like to avoid making a character like Clare (If I spelt her name right) where she didn't know she was a shadowhunter, etc... Rather start off as shadowhunters, werewolves or vampirers maybe even a mix. Want more of an adventure where they encounter a bunch of demons that we can make up as we please. Ranie: That is alright. I am going to be extremely busy this week. Have interviews and programs I need to manage. Things will settle down for me in a bit but right now it is chaotic. |
Maybe I can create a character who was born a Shadowhunter, but her parents died and she was forced to be brought up by an old family friend, a Werewolf married to a Vampire-- kinda like a married couple who love each other despite of their differences and controversy going on between their "kind". And then finally some Shadowhunters come across her and they go and tell their leader-- whomever. We can double, if you wan too! One of us can be a leader.
Alright, so we both have hectic weeks, I'm working on getting alot of things done tonight. I might not even have time to draw tonight, I have roleplays to do, some to get started, oh so much :P
Whoop whoop! Ok sweet:)
Ok that is perfect with me!! I tend to love love love Elves I usually have at least one in an rp lol. But I'm obsessed with every kind! Naga's, witches, the whole lot! Haven't played with many dragons. Only a few times and those rp's never lasted:( Hmmm...I kind of want to go a more darker route! Maybe the people that were attacking the kingdom, finally found them and came after them? Thus causing the siblings to find out the truth? I dunno...what do you think lol? My mind is so tired right now I can't even think straight! |
Zimmerdale: I tend not to deal with doubling or dictating that one of us has to be a female or a male and we have to have a female or male for each other. If that is the character you want, I say go for it. Be who you want to be, that is my motto. For me, I feel that I should have a character that is friends with yours and perhaps they are a shadowhunter but never realized your character was. So that way there is that connection already and there isn't a struggle to get our characters to interact. I know if I play a leader it will be some old decrepit dude. So my thing is just going with it. We can add more characters as we go, like other shadowhunters, villains, love interest, etc. Ranie: I will see if I can get ours started. Only on a few minutes a day and I don't even know how the forums work really. Haven't been on Menewsha for long so I don't know if I have the time to spare right now to throw something together but I will do my best. (Replying to all this durning my lunch break) CrimsonShadow: That is perfect then! We could have the siblings be elves since we are both into them and I tend to always push for an elf in fantasy based roleplays. I feel we will have a fun variety of races in this role-play. I tend to have dragons as pets, like a mount. Tend to avoid them as endangered species or horrible beasts. I want them as an addition not a central concept if that makes any sense. I never thought about that, but I like it! They could have their new home set on fire or something and then wanted posters could start popping up everywhere because I doubt the person that killed off their parents would want them still alive. So for the sake of the lives continuing they need to know the truth. No worries, I have gotten pretty sick from my lack of sleep which means my sentences may get a bit, funky. |
Whoot!! I love it and I'm down for that!
That makes perfect sense and that's what I like also! Anytime I had dragons they were a companion not like the base of the story and I have never played a dragon. We are so on tune with this lol Eeep!! I really really like that. Are their adoptive parents going to survive or die in the fire? Oh no:( that's not good!!! |
Already, I got about two different Shadowhunter RP's going on. Would it be okay if we tried for a different kind of RP?
CrimsonShadow: I am so glad we are. Makes things so much easier and so much nicer! That is what I am contemplating. If they die they siblings will be left questioning what is happening if they live the adopted parents could tell them. I feel it all depends on how long we want them to be in the dark about their true identities. Part of me wants them to know right away but on the other side I don't but I can't figure out a way they would find out. Zimmerdale: I don't mind, I am about ready to take that one down anyways. My desire to do it is starting to diminish. Anything you are really craving at the moment? |
Well I've recently watched Love Never Dies (I don't know if you're into the Phantom of the Opera) but there were parts of the musical that involved a circus. I kinda liked the idea of creating a romance within the "circus freaks" of the circus. Maybe it can be a travelling circus or we can add in some magic.
Hmmm I'm in total agreement with you on this! I think...they should probably stay alive to tell them and they they can like go off in hiding or something.
Or if they die they can meet a stranger that seems to know everything....eh Or they could be directed by their parents friend, that was told years ago, that upon their death they were to give them letters or something? I don't know lol |
I tagged you in the story.
Zimmerdale: I grew up with Phantom of the Opera! One of the greatest memories I have is going and seeing the opera. However, I love the idea of a traveling circus. I can see the potential. Maybe in each town we can decide if they get a new member or not. That is just an idea though, and it could allow us to have a bunch of relationships to play with along with people to dispose of. CrimsonShadow: After having been away from my laptop and had time to think... I personally feel that we should kill the foster parents off as morbid as that sounds. It allows for more character development, such as how the siblings handle grief and could potentially be a driving force in their desire to overthrow the King? At least that is the potential I see in it and then they can meet the stranger that knows everything. Maybe an old knight from the castle who is with a group of other loyal followers? I don't know, lots of ideas! Ranie: Oh my, thank you! I will do my best to reply tomorrow since things have remotely calmed down for me since my interviews finally passed. Was planning on starting it tomorrow but I guess I will give you an amazing reply in turn! |
I LOVE THAT IDEA! I think it would be best to
Oh you're welcome. Took me some time, but, I finally did write it out lol.
I really like that idea! Are there any types of pairings you have in mind? I know I would definitely like to see a newbie fall for the circus master.
CrimsonShadow: I feel we have reached a point that we have gained all the information that we need, what do you think? Or do you still have questions? I am personally read to get this roleplay rolling and just seeing what happens next. Ranie: I hope that reply worked and didn't put a fork in any of your plans. Wanted to make sure our characters were balanced out and I really wanted to play siblings for some reason. Zimmerdale: I tend to avoid pairings because I really want to play a mermaid. The mermaid I am thinking of looks human as long as they don't come in contact with water. I feel that could allow for some comic relief at times. Personally, I feel like just going with it rather than giving each other set roles. Maybe one of us can be the circus master while the other is a performer and both have newbies? Like to have more options and possibilities. I wouldn't even be opposed to starting with two friends going to see the circus where one becomes a newbie and then in a new town they pick up another person. Just to keep things interesting. |
I hadn't planned anything yet, I'm sure it's fine, but, I'm going to bed a bit early tonight. Eight hours is a long time to work for a part timer. Were we playing siblings? If not, we still can.
Well just as long as there's romance in it because I only roleplay romances.
Ranie: We weren't playing siblings. That is a different roleplay in a making. I am playing three characters where two of them are siblings and the third is the leader. But don't worry, I am in no rush. I tend to be really busy on Mondays and Wednesdays. Zimmerdale: As I put in my first post I tend not to force romance. I hate forced romance, it kills a roleplay for me. If our characters are compatible sure, but if not I don't want to force it. We can always get new characters and switch them out till there is. |
Oh okay, haha confusing, I'm good now. If you like our first one and want to roleplay another. Just ask.
Yes! I think we're ready to start! But first let's go over our characters. Who's younger/older etc?
