[Introduction]:
*waves* Hey. c: I'm Phantom. I've been playing Mene on and off for...oh gosh, it has to have been years now. I've been roleplaying for even longer, though I am somewhat out of practice now.

Having completed college and obtained a job, I now have a considerable amount of free time throughout the week that I have no idea what to do with. ^^ Naturally, I decided to try filling this time with roleplay.

Some random facts about me:
- was homeschooled for 6 years
- skipped a grade (8th, to be exact)
- am 22 years old
- favorite color is red-orange or cerulean blue (depends on the day of the week)
- parents briefly thought I was a lesbian back in highschool (lololol I'm not)
- I own two cats named Butter and Sugar
- I have an irrational fear of blue whales**

**It's irrational because I've never seen one in person and am fully aware that they are gentle giants.

- 5-sentence minimum (not trying to be a snob, but I need something to which I can respond)
- Post responses a minimum of twice a week (unless you've mentioned that you won't be able to for whatever reason)

- In regards to romance--I only do straight pairings (don't get me wrong, though; I think gay people are neat)

From a Mermaid/Merman Arranged Marriage roleplay--

Lorelai could barely hold still long enough for the maids to finish fitting her ceremonial garb. It was a mess of pearls and gold fish scales--the traditional outfit of Euphoriian royalty. Lorelai wanted none of it, but her mother had pleaded and her father had begged ("For the good of the country, Lore!") and both had threatened (at least twice each). The young female (barely 18 years of age) hardly knew what else she could do.

"Could we take a break, Felecia? My neck is straining to hold up all of this...finery." The maid closest to her smiled sympathetically and carefully removed the intricate headdress from the princess' delicate head. Her wavy red hair was then carefully pulled from its braid, and the army of attendants left the princess to glare at the offending jewelry and regalia that lay across the vanity in front of her.

Tears welled up suddenly in her eyes and with a suddenly thrash of her vibrant, red tail, the clothing was sent shooting across the room only to float safely down upon her bed.

Lorelai glared at the stuff a moment more before straightening up and floating toward the balcony of her bedroom. She peered down at the dwellings below where, already, decorations were being hung for the ceremony and subsequent festival to be held that evening. Everything looked so cheerful...The purple and silver of Euphor combined with the colors of a clan that one year ago had been her mortal enemy..

And what choice did she, Lorelai, have? None. It wasn't as if she was engaged to someone before her father came up with the idea that had so suddenly inspired peace (albeit, an uneasy peace), but...it was the principle of the thing. What if her soon-to-be husband was ugly? She wouldn't be surprised, of course..hadn't she grown up hearing stories of how grotesque and ugly and mean those...creatures were? How merciless? How inhumane and murderous? How..

Oh, the list went on. Lorelai found herself weeping bitterly upon her bed, her beta fish hovering about her in concern. She sniffled and brushed the little fish away gently. "'For the good of the country..'" she whispered, her teeth clamped and lips curled to reveal sparkling canines.

The main reason I prefer roleplaying on Menewsha is simply that I always need more coins. xDDD

And yes, I can understand writer's block. :3 I have that rule in place so that people understand that consistently posting one or two sentences doesn't provide enough information for me to use in my response. I won't crucify you if you have a few posts that don't meet the size requirements, I assure you. ^^

You don't need to worry about being available at specific times, either. A post a day would make me happy, but I don't really need more than a couple a week. All of my roleplays are long-term simply because I'm not around during the day (job, bleh) and can't respond very quickly. I can be very flexible.

I would love to use the Mermaid/Merman pairing. ^^ The plot idea I had for it (as I'm sure you can surmise from the sampling) is basically that there are (at least) two warring kingdoms that have managed to make peace, their relationship hinging on the success or failure of the marriage of the prince/princess from each. It's just a basic plot that you are more than welcome to add to or scrap altogether. What do you think?

That sounds good to me. :3 I like having roleplay partners who offer ideas and my basic plots are always up for changing and rearranging.

I generally prefer to just introduce my characters in paragraph form, but it's honestly up to you. If a list biography helps you visualize them better, then I'm more than happy to make one. It's up to you.

I apologize for taking forever to respond. >.< My Christmas vacation went about a week longer than I originally anticipated and I, therefore, was away from my computer and unable to respond. Forgive me. ;~;

That sounds excellent to me. What genre did you have in mind? Medieval Times? Fantasy? And what sort of characters would we need (besides whatever poor souls must be married off, of course)? I'm open to having multiple characters (though my ability to portray them well begins to dwindle after three).

Alright. Define what you mean by "rules," "plotters," and "protector of the crown." I'm not quite sure I follow..

I like the idea for the prince. I'm sure that could add quite a bit of interest. ^^ Perhaps he even comes from a culture in which aggression and physical dominance are admired? A state that has an economy almost entirely bolstered by wars and the production of weapons?

Perhaps the whole marriage is really a plot to get at the ruling family of the princess' kingdom? Say, the princess' kingdom is generally peaceful, though it is wealthy enough to fend for itself and boasts an army that would give the prince's nation a run for its money? But the prince's nation has suffered some sort of plague and hasn't been able to bring in as much wealth from raids and things--and certainly isn't strong enough for an outright attack on the princess' kingdom...

Or something.

I would like playing the princess if you truly don't have a preference. ^^ And medieval fantasy would be lovely~ Would you be willing to allow for the existence of dragons and things, or should we keep it limited to just the existence of magic?
