New comer
Hello! As the title infers, I'm new to RPing. I've always been interested in it, but I'm never really had the courage to try it out. Here at Mene, I began to feel comfortable with the community - not like with other avatar sites. Thus, I make my RPing debut! Would anyone be interested in accompanying me in my very first RP? I have two characters prepared at the moment - don't worry, I have many more, but they aren't quite ready. Both of these characters are Earth elementals, in that they can manipulate the Earth. Their profiles state more story than that, but for the purposes of the RP, we'll be ignoring their ongoing stories. TerraJuliusIf you're interested, we can discuss plot or just go with the flow. Also, you may choose which character I use. Just so we're clear, here are some things I won't do: Smut Violent gore/death Abuse of any form High speed fighting Keep in mind, I'm new to this. |
Your plot for these characters sounds really interesting! I would love to know more about the story.
As Earth Guardians, do they have any sort of powers? Like creating flowers/trees, etc? What kind of characters would you want introduced? Guardians of other elements, like fire? Or are other elemental guardians not part of the plot? I guess I would just like to know more about the world your plot takes place in :3 |

Now, I'm sure, reading through they're profiles you saw the words "White City" tossed around quite a bit. Perhaps I should have expanded on that, but I won't be using the main story in this RP. All I really want is an RP that involves various elementals, like my Terra and Julius! They're powers do, in fact, include creating flora and fauna, but they can also manipulate the Earth and it's plants! Things like terra forming (no pun intended!) and fluctuating plant growth are a few things they're powers include. It's a bit like the Earth benders of Avatar: The Last Airbender, except they aren't limited to just rock. |

Well, I have a few characters that could be made into elementals. A lot of my characters are kind of based after elements, anyway :P I'd got a girl named Adena, who is able to create fire and gain power from fire and the sun. She's limited to only making fire if she can pull power from the sun or another flame. So if she is, say, in a dark cave for several days, she cannot create fire. If it is several hours after the sun has set, she can create fire, because she still has energy from the hours before. Would you be playing Terra and Julius together, or separate? 'Cause I can add a second character into the mix. |
I'd prefer to do just Terra for my first RP. Maybe, once I get into the swing of things I could add Julius...

Nah, it's okay. I wasn't too great when I first started out, but you learn fast.
Would you mind if I used two characters, still? It might give us more to work with, and it might help you out :3 I'd like to use Adena, and maybe throw in her servant/bodyguard? His name is Malakai. His family owed a debt to her family, so he was given to her as a slave or servant. But, she's against enslaving others, so she has him as a bodyguard. That was just part of their story. I don't know how it might affect yours. Is this like...modern day, or some completely different universe? |
Yeah, it's totally cool! You can use as many characters as you'd like!
And, honestly speaking, I haven't completely sorted out the world with which my characters reside, but I do know it's and alternate universe, rather than a different universe, of modern day. |
So the setting is modern day? :O
I'm just wondering because Adena and Malakai are from like...a very fantasy-heavy universe, of like...magic and mythical animals and things. They can fit into any setting though, as long as some magic is still a factor. |
Don't worry, there are fantasy elements. And, if it makes it easier, you can totally contribute to the setting. I didn't come in here expecting to use the exact setting my characters are set in, because it's still an incomplete concept.
