(Wait, white cloak? Doesn't death traditionally wear a black cloak?)

Alexi walked toward the unique house, feeling the energy of many different worlds overlapping and flowing through the very wood of the building. Alexi folded his thin black wings as he walked through the doorway.

Shadow blinked as Death abruptly turned and fled from the open window. He looked back down to Kirk and smiled.
"What's has you so scared little one?"

(Yeah, but remember? Alastair had dressed him in a white cloak when they managed to get carlos out of Silent Hill because his traditional one had been practically ruined. The post is somewhere in here.)

Kirk turned his attention back to Shadow, blinking up at him. His hand teightened around the heartless' pant leg as the boy bit his lip. He turned his attention back to his mother, who had turned away from them, staring into space. But he knew his mother was very distracted, had probably been contacted by a servant or two. Something must've happened. He was safe for now. "She....She's going to seperate us," he whispered, keeping his voice down, still afraid his mother may be listening. He could feel a slight discomfort inside his head, almost as if his other half were uncomfortable with this fact. Neither could imagine being seperated from the other, to be two different people. It just wouldn't be natural to either of them.

(I'm feeling kind of nauseous today, and I didn't get very much sleep because of extremely painful razor burn on my legs. And I have a slight headach behind my eyes... So I'm not in any condition to make a cohesive post right now. Could you post one more time, give me a bit more to work with, and then wait till tomorrow? I think I'll feel better then...)

(Of course! You guys have been giving me slack with my rebllious body! I may as well give you some as well, da?)

Kirk looked up at Shadow, eyes suddenly flashing green. He whirled his head around, blinking at the house with concern. He saw Carlos briefly through the window of one of the only non-magic rooms, stumbling through the door and running to the window, slamming his hand together as he drew the curtains roughly. Concern flared inside Kikr's belly as he watched, loosening his grip on Shadow's pant-leg, taking a few concerned steps toward the building, marvelling at the amount of fear radiating from that one room.

Carlos had freaked, panicked at the sudden image in teh mirror at the end of the hall, a sudden image of white skin, curly hair and a beautiful smile. Her. This door had been the closest, the only one that didn't radiate the energy of a different world; a vacant room awaiting an occupant. He leaned against teh wall, hand over his mouth, breath hor and sticky against his skin. When he looked back to teh door, it appeared as if the wall before him had rotted through, revealing the room beyond; old, rotting, blood splattered across peeling wallpaper, a young man slumped in an armchair, the static snow of a TV buzzing before him, a resigned look in his pale eyes. When he looked away, the room he was in returned to normal, causing him to wimper involuntarily. The door was still slightly ajar, revealing a bit of the brightly lit hallway. If anything grew close, he'd know. And he wouldn't let it get anywhere near him.

(Carlos needs more freakouts anyway. And major brownie points if you can guess the man he saw. You might know if you've played all the Silent Hill games. He's also my favorite character from my favorite game in that series.)

Shadow gazed at the woman clad in white, unsure of the appropriate action for this situation. The woman was staring off into space now as if distracted by something.

(Still feeling sick, and now I have a terrible sore throat too. I think I'm coming down with something.)

Order smiled to herself, turning to glance back at her son. She lifted her head, examining teh heartless watching her. Those pesky, high ranking heartless were finally eradicated. Don't get her wrong, she would've done it herself long ago if it hadn't been for the fact that they were, in fact, powerful allies. Now, with them out of the way, perhaps the rest of their ilk could be eradicated. Perhaps. There wasn't much riding on that. "It's rude to stare," Order stated, looking away from Shadow, back to her son, who shivered at the feeling of his mother's cold glare on his back, causing him to involuntarily back toward Shadow. He found the ehartless far more comforting that his own mother, especially since he didn't want Kirk's head on a silver plate.

(Ok. Might wanna check your temperature.)

*Lucien jumped in surprise seeing Virgil turn the corner. "I'm fine... just easily startled..." he blushed slightly feeling like a coward. "can you help me find the basement door... I'm kinda lost..." he was still blushing, his black eyes focused on him. The aura around Virgil was just as strange as the rest of the occupants*

(argh! Gone for a day and I'm lost! Sorry, but what happened guys?)

(Mostly stuff between me and Contra_Mundi. I think. Haven't been paying much attention to the other ones. I should probably start doing that.)

(@Kurobizzle-- Yeah, it's mostly just me and cupcake forging new and interesting interpersonal relationships with our various characters. You need not pay it much heed as it isn't all that relevant to the plot as of now.)

(@Cupcake-- You know that actually just occurred to me a bit ago, but my forehead isn't hot enough to cause any real concern as far as I can tell. And I forced down some scrambled eggs so I don't feel nauseous anymore. ^.^)

Shadow smirked, his eyes flashing slightly.
"Ah, but it's also rude to want to hurt your son."
Shadow pointed directly at her chest, his black nail polish glistening in the light.
"I can see it there, plain as day... though the actual reason you want hurt him is hidden deeper."
Shadow's slitted pupils dilated as he stared at her chest, his smirk widening.
"Shall I try probing a little deeper to find it? Though I don't know how much you'd like your dirty laundry hanging out for everyone to see..."

Virgil blinked.
"Back into the basement? Has something startled you?"
Virgil cast around feeling the many strange energies emanating from around them. Order, kirk, death, pestilence, war, famine- Virgil's eye twitched as he remembered Silvian's anorexic comment.- Alexi, and someone that felt oddly like Alastair... Virgil tried to view these energies through the eyes of someone not already used to them. Virgil chuckled.
"Oh dear, I suppose there is a lot going on at the moment... with the world on the brink of destruction and all..."

(That's good. At least you're feeling better, Hiro!)

Order just chuckled, looking back to Shadow with cold eyes. "I don't want to hurt him. He ran away from home, so he needs to be punished," she said, almost as if that were common knoweledge. "I can't let him get away with that. He might get even more crazy ideas." She twitched at his suggestion, narrowing her eyes, but keeping her smile. That would be...most interesting if he decided to look through her heart.

Carlos stiffened at the sound of voices. They weren't particularly close, but he could hear them. He back into his corner, watching the door. Hopefully they would just go away, leave him alone so he could feel safe.

*Lucien really couldn't understand what Virgil meant. brink of destruction? He glanced around nervously and spoke up " can you help me find my stuff please?.... i really want to get settled as soon as possible..". His eyes darted about, the aura of magic everywhere*

(Hmmm we seem to be at a sort of impass, as I'm unsure what kirk wants shadow to do...)

Virgil smiled,
"Oh, of course"
Virgil led Lucien to the main staircase and immediately slid down the banister giggling maniacally. He hopped lightly off the end before the banister did something impolite to his butt, and then he waited at the foot of the stairs for Lucien.

(What any child would want anyone to do with a tormentor; make them go away. Or at least distract her long enough so he can hide in the house somewhere. Either way, he just wants Shadow to make it easier for him to escape.)

Keito's whole body relaxed, and the longer he was laying in the tub, the more calm he felt. Though he had an odd feeling of dark things happening closeby, he couldn't lay his finger on it. After pondering about it he decided to leave it in the back of his mind. He stepped out of the tub, grabbing a towel as he wrapped it around his waist. Grabbing his old clothes, he walked down the hall, heading back to the others, in hopes of them showing him the room his belongings were supposed to be.

(I still have no idea where we are, so I'll just start from here)

Kotone sighed as she closed another empty kitchen cabniet. How did she not notice that her entire kitchen was out of food?! 'I'm such a bad house director... thing.' She started out feeling sorry for herself but ended up wondering what they called people who ran boarding houses. As she thought of names, she started up the steps and to her room so she can grab her purse. She got to the second floor, turned a corner and standing right in front of her was a half-naked, wet Keito. Kotone's jaw almost dropped... almost. But she did widen her eyes and blush.

(btw, new member! Be nice to her!)

Lavender approaches the gateway to the new realm. Taking a deep breath, she takes another look at her parents, who are actually quite nervous about her leaving, but at the same time supportive. Fairies are curious by nature and they understood. She gives them a small smile then steps through the gate. Stepping through, she comes to a door. Staring at it quizically, she slowly reaches over to poke it with a finger. When it creaks open she squeaks and flutters backwards, then notices something beyond it. "Oh, that must be the other realm! I guess I have to open this... who am I talking to?" She says to herself. She shakes her head, then reaches for the door handle, pulling it open and stepping through. "Hello?..."

J.J. watched with mild interest, head turned slightly to the side as a door down the hall opened, revealing a young girl with lavender hair, much lighter in shade to J.J.'s own. Not too mention the length. This girl's was so much longer. J.J. let out a grunt of exertion as she pushed back against the door she was currently attempting to keep closed. She could hear disgruntled cries and angry shreiks from behind the door. Dammit! She hated when she made a mistake and ended up in a world she didn't recognize. With a final, angry grunt, her body shifted, bones melding and twisting to the large and, rather disgusting, form her body belonged in, the large body managing to keep the screaming harpies at bay, giving the door time to lock.

As soon as she uttered her greetings she heard the sound of screaming, grunting and a slamming door. Lavender looks over just as someone had shifted into a large and frightening creature. She lets out a scream stumbling backwards and falling to the floor in the hallway.

J.J. let out a sigh as the struggling door stopped, the lock clicking in place. She turned her head, the lavender girl's high pitched noise catching her attention. She cocked an eye ridge, eyes glittering with something akin to annoyance. "That's very rude, you know," she hissed, shaking her leathery body and beginning to take a few steps toward the sweet smelling girl. She stopped when she noticed the pale shimmer behind her slightly, pressed against her back. Oh. A fairy. And way too big to eat, too. That was disappointing.

(Ah alright then. I wont be able to post for a bit because I probably have strep and I'm going to the doctor tomorrow... or today... wow... is it really 4:00AM O.o

Shadow yawned and stretched.
"Dear dear, you are making things very awkward and it's beginning to annoy me. Leave my sight."
Shadow made a dismissive flicking motion at order, as though she were a particularly large and annoying fly. He did not expect her to leave of her own free will though, no. In a split second a circle of rippling darkness spread beneath her feet and two gigantic black arms grabbed her around the waist.
"Have fun in your own heart, bitch."
The darkside gave an almighty yank and pulled order completely through the rippling portal into her heart, which closed as soon as she was clear. Shadow popped his knuckles and smiled at Kirk.
"That should keep her busy for a bit, I shudder to think of the ordeals a heart like hers is going to put her through. Wanna see if there's anything to eat in that house?"

(If that was a little too vague for you I'll explain, remember the first levels of the first and second KH games? The infinite black with columns covered in luminescent mosaic? I'm fairly certain that was a part of sora's heart, which the keyblade was teaching him in. I don't know what Order's heart would look like, you'll have to think of that. But she'll have no control over it. She'll have to overcome tests and possibly relive memories and work through some baggage before her heart will let her go. You can either tell us all about this, tell us bits of it, or keep it a complete mystery and have her come back in a few minutes when Kirk has had his chance to escape. Time flows differently remember, she could feel like it took days, but it's only like a few minutes in the real world.)

Keito quircked up his eyes after seeing Kotone stare at him. Water was dripping onto the floor from his still wet hair as he stroked it back gently. "Kotone, my belongings. Would you know where I can find them? I mean, I just showered. Not going to wear THOSE clothes again. Aside of that, you ARE the housekeeper of this place, right?" He tilted his head to the left, his clothes in his hand as he put his free hand on Kotone's cheek. He frowned a bit, narrowing his eyes slightly. "Are you okay? You seem a bit red. Perhaps you're getting a fever. We wouldn't want that to happen, do we?" he said, smiling at the thought she might just be blushing. I wonder if she never saw a half naked guy before.

Her eyes wide as saucers, Lavender stared frozen as the creature approached her. She puts her hands over her head and huddles up* "Please don't eat me! I don't taste very good!" She then shrank to a smaller size and flies down the hallway. Stopping halfway down it, she doubles back, forgetting her small bag. She shrinks that, stares at the creature again nervously, and flutters off again.

J.J. felt her mouth water, eyes widening. Oooh, she was definately small enough now. She let out a happy squawk before chasing after her, drool escaping her long mouth. She had to bend to make sure she didn't go crashing through the ceiling, a prospect I'm sure Kotone would despise. She followed the little fairy through the house, following the delicious smell she was making as she fluttered away from the tall demon.

Kirk looked up at Shadow, eyes wide and thankful. When Shadow asked about food, he tilted his head. He didn't even know that. He hasn't even been inside yet. "I...I'm not sure," he whispered, turning to look at the large building, eyes skimming over it. "But...Ok!" A small smile crossed his lips, beginning to move toward the house, stopping only to make sure Shadow was following.

(Ah, alright. I'll delve into that later.)
