Carlos couldn't help it. His legs practically gave way, or at least, that's what he mentally told himself, as he fell into Shadow's chest, catching himself by wrapping his shaking arms around the other and gripping the fabric of his shirt, finally allowing himself to gasp in precious air and sob aloud, hiccups and painful jerks wracking his body, his pale eyes fading back into that deep and bottomless black, (cause he's been in horseman mode since Alastair lost his heart) giving him the almost emotionless look he used to posess. If it wasn't for the fact he was bawling and clawing at Shadow's back, you would think he felt nothing at all.

(He doesn't get enough, considering his life.)

Shadow wrapped his arms gently around the sobbing reaper and hummed a calming lullaby.
"It's alright, even death is allowed to cry sometimes. And this is an especially special circumstance. He was taken so quickly... you didn't even get to say goodbye."
Shadow again felt prickles of emotion from where his heart should be, just like when he gazed at the heart of this world. It seems Alastair had a very strong heart indeed, he left a deep imprint.
"You didn't even get to give him a proper burial."
Shadow's mind flickered restlessly at this thought. His mind again turned to the pages of that massive volume of everything the heartless knew about their own species. He remembered what had happened to that girl after her heart had been stolen. Shadow's eyes widened and he looked down at Carlos's chest remembering the nobody's words.
Oh... It's... been here... all along... My... heart...
No... It couldn't be. Shadow looked out the window at where Alastair had fallen, trying to keep his voice as casual as possible.
"Um... what happened to Alastair's body, exactly? After he fell?"

Lavender was sitting at the bottom of the staircase, waiting and hoping whatever was wrong wasn't too serious. She stretched and her wings opened up, flapping a couple times to stretch out as well, before folding back down flat on her back. She soon heard footsteps and looked back, getting up as she does, figuring it might be Kotone.

Carlos' sobs quieted slightly, shakes lowering to trembles, hiccups to sniffles. He looked up, blinking at Shadow as he stared out teh window. He followed his gaze, mulling over the question in his head. "I'm...not sure. I was asleep at the time," he whispered, looking away. "I only found out because of our connection, the one all of us share."

(Oh dear, I kind of just forgot about his body.... hmmm. Should we have some epic quest to get his body back from some hell dimension and possibly restore his heart, or should we find his body behind a dustbin or a tree or something.)

Shadow stared out at the lawn, trying to find Alastair's body. He didn't want to unnecessarily get Carlos's hopes up. But this wouldn't be the first time this had happened. If Alastair's body was still alive... there was a small chance... Shadow didn't even finish the thought, afraid to get his own hopes up.

Keito nodded slightly at Kotone, actually unsure if he wanted her to leave. He hated it, for people to see him like that, yet he felt horrible. It has been a while since I last had to go through this... Why can't you just stay inside? Why do you have the need to go and ruin other people's lives? I don't have the need, it's a mere pleasure to me. Embarassing you, though, is what amuses me most. Just leave me be. Until there's a war going on there's no need for you. Go to sleep, bad demon. Keito closed his eyes, and weither he fainted or fell asleep the moment he closed his eyes, he was knocked out cold.

Kotone stood there a for a few moments, looking at the now sleeping demon. 'He's out like a light.' She thought as she pulled the blankets over him. He was still half-naked so she was sure Keito would get cold. She smiled, mentally promising that she would be quick with her errands. Then, she rushed out the door, ran to her room, grabbed her wallet, and skipped down the steps to see Lavender waiting.

"Sorry I'm late!" She exclaimed in a cheerful voice, "Let's go!"

Theresa stood at the front door debating with herself whether to wait for someone to answer or to just leave. She zipped up her jacket and peered through a window.
"Doesn't look as if anyone is at....home." She spoke quietly to herself.

Keito was still out cold, not noticing Kotone pulling the blanket over him, not that she had left. He was all alone in his little world. The world he found peace and safety for so long. The empty dream. Though it was just a dream, everything appeared to be so real. The threes that were waving a hello to the paper birds that floated over, the origami flowers that were raided by the bees, the clouds from toilet paper that were pinned to the sky with a pushpin. As he stood there, he realized what happened. His demon only provoked him, yet it had shaken the image of real and fake. Unable to understand the message his demon was sending him, Keito decided to enjoy the colorful drawn scents that came from the origami flowers.

(Yay for eventuality! Sorry for the double post ^-^ I'm a dork.)

Theresa placed her brown duffel on the ground and sat beside it. Well, I guess there's no harm in waiting, she thought. She stuck a hand in her pocket and produced a pink Ipod. Stinking the small headphones in her ears she turned the music up loud and closed her eyes.

Lavender looked up and smiled, standing up. "Ok I'm ready!" She said eagerly. "I can't wait to take a look around and see all the humans and animals and plants. Are there monsters and ghosts out there too?" She asked curiously. She saw one of each here in the house already so she assumed they were everywhere.

(yes! Don't double post!! It happened to me..... *cries*)

"Oh no, they only exist here." Kotone replied as she pulled out her keys, "I think...." She opened the door and started to walk out when the sight of a red-haired girl made her pause. She blinked. "Um... Hello there." She greeted in surprise.

"Huh....?" Theresa looked up, startled. She unplugged the Ipod, folding up the cord and stuck it in her duffel. She stood and smiled widely at the woman in front of her.
"Hi, I'm Theresa. Theresa Truegood. I'm looking for a place to stay and some friends of mine told me this was a good place to start."

She stared at the strange little device she put away in her bag. She wanted to ask what it was, but decided to wait until after she greeted her. Lavender didn't want to go and startle the girl and come off as rude.

(Hmm...I guess it would depend. Did Alastair have a homeworld? Cause that seems like the most likely place his body would appear. After all, wasn't Kairi originally from Hallow Bastion (or however you spell it.) and that's why her body was there? If I'm wrong, slap me silly for not playing the game all the way through in years.)

Carlos hummed thoughtfully, resting his forehead against Shadow's shoulder. He jerked, lifting his head and turning to the window, blinking as he saw the white and red figure making it's way across the green lawn, a taller, red-headed, more colorfully dressed figure following after; Order and Kogan. He blinked. Why...why was his mother drenched in blood? And his brother was following, seeming almost...worried? No, no, that wasn't right. Kogan absolutely hated their mother, despised her very existence....so...why was he following her like that?

Order stopped after a bit, eyeing the three girls at the front of the house, near the gate. She turned her head as Kogan's hurried steps neared her, eyes a rainy blue with a feeling akin to worry. She smiled lightly, pondering the idea that her son, the one that wished to see her dead and broken, would worry over his tired old mother. When she began to move again, Kogan grumbled in annoyance. She approached the three girls, one of them releasing the essence of a demon, another with folded wings on her back that shone almost innocently, the other, the one closest to the gate, gave off the aura of someone that Lucifer definately would not enjoy being around. She ignored them for now, turning to make her way toward the front door. She needed to find her sons, her twins. She needed to find them, needed to, dare she even consider this, apologize.

(Gah...i need to stop listening to Alice Human Sacrifice. It's affecting Order's character way too much.)

Shadow eyed the red haired man with interest. he and the woman walking in front of him could not have been any different. Though she was partially covered in blood, she walked with almost military rigid precision. The man on the other hand had a very relaxed gait and he seemed to keep veering in different directions, as though he was getting distracted. Shadow couldn't quite predict where he would walk next, even though he was moving in relatively the same direction. Shadow shook his head, dispelling the distractions, he would examine these interesting people later, there was something much more pressing at the moment. Shadow snapped his fingers and a small black form with glowing yellow eyes and two long antennae materialized from a dark corner of the room. He motioned out the window.
"Search the grounds for a body. He should resemble me and be wearing a black cloak."
The shadow nodded and jumped through the closed window without disturbing the glass.

(Haha, thanks Mundi, I'm flattered. I guess I have to wait for Kuro to log on so my character can get situated, lol)

Lucien nodded nervously "Master Virgil is nice to me.." he stood next to Virgil. His drawings were rolled up neatly like scrolls, which he held close to his chest. The light seemed to pull away the shadows which clung to his body, making him stick closer to Virgil's shadow.*

(you know what i just realized... does everybody think my character is deformed? lol, i was going for a smaller proportioned human, not the house elves from Harry Potter)

"Nice to meet you Theresa. I'm Kotone Yumichiko!" Kotone replied, "And this is pretty girl behind me is Lavender." When she saw Theresa's things, she slightly faltered. "I'm sorry, we were about to go out. But you're welcome to come inside. You'll have to wait a bit because we're about to go grocery shopping. I'm sorry for the inconvience." She was a bit worried. This new girl looked so cute and innocent. She didn't want to leave her all alone in the boarding house with Virgil and J.J. and John running around. And whatever else was hiding in the building's shadows...

(I didn't think he was deformed... I've basically been imagining kind of what your avatar looks like.)

Virgil grinned, one of his pointed canines poking over his lip.
"See! I'm not mean."
Virgil stuck his tongue out at brandin and then turned to Lucien, his tail swaying gently behind him.
"So do you want me to help you pick out a room?"

Alexi yawned and began walking toward the door, pushing his long pink hair off his face with a flourish like a model as he went.
"I think I might go shopping with those girls. I'd like to see how this world compares to my original one..."
Alexi began jogging up the front path toward the gate, waving his arm and smiling, trying to get Kotone ans Lavender's attention.
"Girls! Girls?! Would you mind if I tagged along for the shopping?!"
