Caleb smiled and handed her a bottle, always keeping Zake in his periferal vision.

Takeru turned.
"Hi christopher, call me Take."

At Katel's instant wave, Adella broke into a grin. It wasn't like her to be serious and solemn all the time - in fact, she quite disliked negative emotions. She truly preferred being happy. her pace quickened instantly into a jog and she darted over to stop in a scoot before Katel. "Hey!" She greeted, sounding much more like her normal, cheery self. It was at this point that Katel asked the tall shadow-weaver his name and she instantly took note of it. She was about to introduce herself - when first, she remembered Katel already called her name, so it would be redundant - and second, Jezebel and the boy walked over. She smiled at them both and nodded to Christopher. "Hey there," she greeted with a smile. "I'm Adella." She looked up. "Seems to be the usual sky up there." She added in response to his question - after all, she didn't really know what was up yet.

Katel did a twirl and giggled, "yay everyone is happy,.....uh sorry I just went through the final stages of my childhood and it still leaks through, Heh heh yeah."

Gene walked over to the group of people that was slowly growing. "hello student's and faculty."

Zake could smell something fishy in the air coming from Caleb and he didn't know what it was, but it smelled good not like punch at all. He ran at Caleb and Snatched up the bottle handed him, smelled it deeply. "hey Caleb what is this? It smells intrigueing."

(0.o what? what's happening!? let's straighten some things out.
1. The bottle Caleb gave Zake is the only one with powedred bloodstone in it.
2. Bloodstone is a magical mineral and is in no way derived from real blood.
3. Bloodslone only affects vampires.
4. Bloodstone is an aphrodesiac, it doesn't entice bloodlust, just lust.)

Caleb smiled, hiding how startled he was that he had been caught.
"Uh, mineral... supplements. To help replace the blood I took. Drink up."

Zake looks at him questioningly, "ok" he lifted the bettle again and snifed it. He set the lip of the bottle to his own and drank. "That's pretty good. Now can i ask again what exactly that taste is and why i feel all funny." He smiled at his friend.

Adella chuckled at Katel. From the looks of it, there weren't any adults around here at all - even the teachers were pretty young - she could have sworn she'd heard someone comment on a teacher being younger then them. So, when Katel made the comment on childhood, Adella cocked her head. "So...if you don't mind me asking...how old are you, exactly?"

Hearing Adella's question, Christopher just laughed. "I honestly think I'm the oldest person here. This is going to be so strange." He was puzzled by how Caleb, Zake, Katel, and Gene could be so in control of their abilities at such a young age. He was beginning to wonder if they weren't from some other planet or something. That seemed like a hilariously impossible explanation, but weirder things had happened.

Jezebel watched as everyone seemed to be getting along better. Adella appeared to be settling down and accepting the way this school seemed to be going so far. "So, um Katel, how does this whole school thing work? Do we have classes to go to, or like, do you teach us one on one, or what?" She was anxious to begin learning. She had an appetite for knowledge and didn't like just standing around doing nothing.

"I'm 16, furbin are interesting when it comes to aging." Katel informed Adella, then turned to Jezebel and laughed, "Well i guess gene didn't get to that cause we don't know either i think that we are gonna spend some one on one time to begin with though." She seemed to be calm now. "So Gene do you even know what your powers are and then tell us how old you are. I think you are the oldest to tell the truth." She laughed at her interogating.

"I'm 19 why are you asking these questions. I don't really think i have powers just wings." He was a little awkward answering.

Caleb smiled.
"Sorry, I was feeling mischievous so I decided to play a trick on you, and get you to loosen up a bit at the same time."
Caleb smiled wider as it became very apparent what was in the drink, due to the tightening in Zake's pants.

Take smiled.
"Jeez, I'm the same age as the headmaster, that's gonna be strange--"
Take cut off in mid sentence. Going very still.
"Ugh, what's that...?"
Takeru's hand slowly lifted to his chest and clutched his shirt over his heart as if he was in pain. Takeru's eyes glazed over and his pupils dilated, covering his eyes in black.
"There's... something... in the shadows..."
Takeru's back went rigid and his black gaze became focused on Gene.
"The door is open."

Adella blinked over at Christopher, wondering how old he was, then turning back to Katel. She didn't wonder at the fact these others could control their powers to young - she herself had mastered a pretty good control of her art after all. The very first time she'd used her power she had been able to fully control it - with extreme concentration and severe draining of her energy reserve.

That thought made her eyes narrow and her lips thin. For a moment, she looked completely different. The sweet, childish look vanished to be replaced with something hard and almost cruel, her eyes reflecting pain and rage before it was instantly eclipsed by a smile. It all happened so fast that unless someone had been paying very close attention to Adella, they never would have noticed the change. It was so fleeting it could even be passed over as a trick of the light. After that day - after she was given to her grandparents - Adella had followed her Grandfather's ideas and had slowly begun to build up strength for the use of her gift - as much as she hated using it - as many arguments as they had over the use of it - she knew it was worth it. No - what Adella wondered was how a group of people all around the same age intended to teach people both older and younger then themselves and not get overwhelmed - or fall into drama - or make a mistake that cannot be mended. These thoughts were swimming through her head as she smiled dreamily, before suddenly her eyes popped wide open and her jaw went slack.

"Hey--Katel, I'm the same age as you!" She paused, then, "I turn seventeen in June." Then she turned in order to look at Gene - the winged fellow. She couldn't help but smile a bit in his direction. "Yknow, I'd think the gift of flight would be cool enough, don't you?" Adella loved birds - she loved all animals, really - but she envied birds the most. There were a lot of times in her life when she would have loved to fly away. She was about to say something else when something happened to Take. Her eyes widened as she looked at him, wondering what was wrong. Despite herself, she reached her hand out towards his arm. "Take?" she asked, concerned.

Takeru blinked, his eyes going back to normal and his hand dropping as if nothing happened.
"Oh, sorry... I think I spaced out... Was I saying something?"

Adella's eyes flickered with worry as she let her hand fall from where it had been about to land on his arm, back to her side. "Are you certain you're alright? You looked like you were in pain." She'd address his odd statements once she knew he was okay - Adella always kept her priorities straight - even when they were skewed.

Take laughed and smiled.
"Yeah I'm fine, why do you as--"
Takeru's arm flew up and grabbed Adella's shoulder.
"The closer you come to the light... the longer your shadow becomes..."
Takeru smiled maniacally before dropping to his knees, his eyes rolling back into his head before he passed out on the ground.

Adella opened her mouth to answer when Take's arm shot out to grab her shoulder. Automatically, her hands grabbed it, preparing to twist sharply and bring his forward - but she forced herself to not to toss him. She stood, quivering with tension as he spoke. His voice changed again and despite herself she pushed his arm from her just as he fell to his knees. She stood above him for a moment, her expression unreadable before she knelt quickly and placed her fingers under his chin, checking to make sure his pulse was still regular.

"Please tell me," Adella called, her voice dry and sounding much older then it had any right to sound, "That someone here either knows what's going on or how to help him." She brought her hand back to her lap and looked pointedly at Gene - he was, after all, the supposed headmaster here.

Gene had been dwelling on a sad lock inside himself when takeru had fallen and then attacked Adella, well sorta. His wings flicked hard almost hitting Katel and Christopher, his hands and wing tips started to glow, then fade again, "I don't know about Take but it definatly affected the lock....." Gene said almost absentmindedly. before kneeling next to the man of shadows, "Take what did you mean by the door is open?" He laid a hand on Take's arm to try and bring him to his senses.

Katel Dogded the wing and felt for any unusual heat other than Christophers of whose she was used to the smell and feel of. Yeah got to stay away from heat boy. She was worried someone was manipulating Take.

Zake felt the his pants tighten and blushed, "Your a jerk, this is not cool now what do I do." He was trying to hide himself but was failing alittle if only his trentch coat weren't up in the Headmasters office. He was confused about the whole thing, how does a drink do this to a person.

Takeru sat back up, his hand on his head.
"Holy mother of hell... feels like someone took a sodding jackhammer to my skull."

Just out of sight of the gathered people, in the shadows near the wall of the schoolbuilding, a small creature emerged from the darkness. Blinking it's two glowing eyes, it looked around before scuttling up the side of the building and disappearing.

Caleb chuckled.
"Well I've got to get you to loosen up somehow. You are quite a prude you know."

Adella, her attention focused mostly on Takeru and Gene, did not see the creature. All she saw was that Gene glowed for a moment before coming over. When Takeru came to, she sat back on her heels a little bit and shook her head. Her red curls moved slightly with the motion, her green eyes narrowed and sharp with worry and suspicion.

"Gene," she started, then added, "Assuming I can call you that," before going on, "What exactly is going on here - what door? What happened to Takeru?" When in doubt - always turn to the person who was supposed to be in charge.

Takeru pulled a bottle of Advil out of his pocket and took a bottle of punch from Caleb before coming back to the group, just in time to hear Adella talking to Gene.
"Door?"

Christopher saw the wing coming and dodged out of the way just in time. He smiled over at Katel, who had dodged the other wing. He watched as the scene played itself out wondering what indeed had happened to Take. He saw Zake looking embarrassed and wandered over that way. "So... what's with you two?"

Jezebel gasped when Take had his whole psychotic epileptic episode. When he mentioned something in the shadows, she began looking around and missed the weird creature coming out of them so thought nothing of it when the little thing climbed the wall of the school and disappeared. She didn't mention it to anyone because it didn't seem important. In fact, she had thought it was a squirrel. She looked at Katel. "You said there's a barn. Would you show me?"

Katel noded, "Yeah sure, come this way." Katel glanced to see an uncomfortable Zake trying to hide himself and turned away quickly. "Yes come with me." She didn't want to know what her friends were getting into.

"Take you mention something about a door being open and the darness taking you within?"

Zake still unhappy yet couldn't bring himself to glare at Caleb no matter how much he wanted to, "How am I a prude?"Old ladies old ladies, old ladies, man I can't win. Oh look now i'm getting a spectator.

Caleb tried desperately not to laugh and covered his mouth with his hand. After the fit subsided he looked at Zake again and giggled before saying,
"You're just so serious all the time."
Caleb crossed his arms and scowled, imitating Zake.
"My day is just jam packed. I've got an early morning brood followed by a shower and breakfast, and then I might get in a fight and possibly save the world before a good healthy angst. Then I have lunch, immediately followed by my giant late afternoon brood."
Caleb grinned deviously and poked the bulge in Zake's pants before backing out of arms reach.
"Humiliation is sometimes the key to humility. See, they even sound similar."

Takeru popped the Advil in his mouth and took a long drink of punch to wash it down.
"Ahhhhh. That's the stuff."
Takeru wiped his mouth and chuckled.
"Darkness, swallow me? very unlikely."
Takeru scratched his chin.
"Hmmm. you know what that might have been... Last year my town was invaded by these nasty creatures called shadow sprites. They may sound innocent, but they're like a spider, with the torso of a human, with wings and fangs... and claws... But they're only about the size of a dishwasher."
Takeru took another drink of punch.
"Well the point of this is, that about a week prior to this incident, my family found me on the floor screaming about things in the dark. Almost sent me to an asylum."

(I forgot to mention this, but Takeru Was born in Japan, but raised in England before moving to America. So he has an English accent. BTW I was planning something, but it would involve cataclysmic events... and we're not ready for that yet. maybe later.)
