Sam slumped onto his desk and watched as the teacher unpacked his bag and was about to speak. Before anybody noticed anything, Sam already had all his stuff in his bag and was out the window. Sherrie couldn't even have said 'Oh' quick enough. Walking away from the classroom, Sam smiled, what did it matter anyway, he hated Geography and he already knew places they'd never dream of as well as the ones they did know of. In his opinion it was a waste of time.

Suddenly Sam was gone and Sherrie stared after him, surprised and a little upset. It had been nice having a friend next to her on her first day. He'd been so quick the teachers and other students hadn't even noticed. She slumped down in her seat, trying not to be noticed and quietly got on with her work. She already knew most of the answers so she worked quickly and spent the last few minutes of the lesson staring out the window.

Making his way across the lawn Sam took his timetable out and checked what his next lesson would be. Ah History, however inaccurate the teachings were it was still interesting and rather funny to see what the teachers had to say about it. Rummaging in his bag he took out some food and began eating.

As soon as the lesson was over Sherrie grabbed her bag, which she'd already packed, and walked quickly out of the classroom. She smiled at everyone she passed as she made her way out onto the lawn. She sat in the shade underneath a tall tree where she couldn't be seen and took out her timetable. After glancing at it she packed it away and took out her lunch. With a sigh she began to eat.

Angel chuckled at her and nodded. "of course I will take you out.. I do owe you a gift don't' I?" he said with a smile. "well miss until then would you like to accompany me to the garden?" He and a few other guys had planted a beautiful garden behind the school and he knew she would love it. "I promise I won't bite" he said with a grin. He knew they had class in a few minutes. "errr... maybe after History class..." he said with a smile.

After he licked his lips, Sam put his timetable back in his pocket, slung his bag over his shoulder and walked back towards the building this time he entered it through the front door. He made his way over to his History class room and yet again he was the first one there. Deciding that he might need a snack during class he went to the vending machine and bought a ton stuffing it into his bag. He went back to the classroom and waited for more faces to appear at the doorway. Like in the other classroom he chose the exact same seat.

Sherrie had finished her lunch and was sitting staring up through the leaves of the tree. She looked down at her watch and wearily got to her feet, slinging her bag over her shoulder as she went. She wandered across the lawn and made her way through the halls to the classroom. When she arrived she saw that it was nearly empty like it had been before, only two or three people. Without looking she made her way to the back and sat at an empty desk. Still not looking up, she began to unpack her bag.

"We meet again," Sam said softly behind Sherrie, making her jump in her seat. Like before he was sitting in exactly the same seat and she next to him, it was almost as if she intended to do so. When Sherrie jumped, she dropped a pen and Sam picked it up handing it back to her and as he did he flashed a grin at her before looking completely emotionless. He grabbed a handful of sweets from his bag and gave these to Sherrie as well. Then he took out a pen and waited for the teacher. If she thought Sam was about to skip class again, she was mistaken, History would be fun.

Shinara's eyes widened slightly in shock, as her mind threw ideas around about how he knew what she was thinking. The shock caused her to turn around to avoid any one seeing her as she thought it through and calmed down. More than anything she was confused why it bothered her so much, she guessed that it was the way he said it that made it sound like a fact rather than a guess. After regaining herself Shinara decided part way through class that since she was a little ahead of what they were doing she should answer his question, but as she turned her head a little to tell him she saw he was gone. Confused she turned back around and decided to finish her work and tell him later if she saw him.

After class ended Shinara made her way outside and ate a small sandwich in the shade of the trees. When she finished she made her way to her next class. As she walked in she saw the guy who called himself Sam. Sighing Shinara walked up to him and said, "I forgot to answer you earlier... My name is Shinara... Call me Shina if you want to." Without saying anything else she turned around and looked for a seat, even though she liked window seats the best she decided she wanted to avoid getting close to people.

"Nice to meet you, Shina." Sam replied. He looked towards his desk for a moment and then when he looked up she was gone - to the far side of the room. Standing up, he walked over to her and said, "You can sit near the window if you like, I promise you we don't bite." Then thinking about what he had just said, he laughed at the irony of his own words 'we don't bite', well maybe Sherrie doesn't, but I definitely do he thought. However, when he looked at her, it seemed she thought he was laughing at her, he quickly corrected her and waited for her to walk back over to the other side of the classroom with him.

Sherrie was embarassed to see she'd sat next to Sam by accident, and even more so when she dropped her pen again. She would've left - she didn't want to impose herself on him - but he grinned at her and gave her some sweets, so she guessed he didn't mind, "Thanks..." she mumbled, grateful but still embarassed. She watched as he crossed the room to talk to the girl that'd sat in front of them earlier and smiled warmly at her when she looked around.

She smiled at him, "Alright, we can figure out when later." she said, then looked down at the bracelt briefly, "Yeah, after history would be better." she nodded in agreement, then smiled, "But I'd love to see the garden. I didn't know there was one here." she said. Though, that was obvious, since she hadn't seen much other than what she saw with Angel the day before, on her first day.

Shinara looked at him confused, no one ever was nice to her and treated her like she was a normal person. Most people looked at her and thought she was strange and avoided her, but she never minded she liked how she looked. She looked at him for a second and then over to the other girl who was looking at her and smiled. At first she felt lost and confused from it but then managed to make a small smile in return. With a small sigh she cursed herself mentally, quietly said, "Thanks..." to him, and proceeded to walk back with him and sit down in the same place as the other room.

Sherrie was pleasantly surprised when the girl finally smiled back at her, she didn't think she was going to. She watched her and Sam as they crossed the room towards her and smiled shyly at them both. The girl looked confused and slightly irritated and Sherrie wondered why. She stared down at her desk and waited nervously for Sam to introduce them, hoping to make a good impression on the girl.

Sam smiled as Shina followed him back to where his desk and Sherrie were. She looked a little agitated and frustrated and he didn't really understand why. Deciding to make a good impression he didn't ask her about it and instead just carried on walking. Sherrie looked nervous and Sam silently laughed at her, what is it with girls being nervous? he thought, annoyed.

Sam didn't laugh out loud but Sherrie could see him smirking to himself when he saw her. She pulled a face at him then grinned apologetically because he looked a little irritated. She looked curiously at him, hoping he'd get the message and tell him who the girl was. He deliberately looked away and she sighed impatiently, rolling her eyes. She reached for the sweets he'd given her, offering one to him.

When Sam reached his desk, he sat behind it and waited for Shina to say something. Sherrie offered him some of the sweets he gave her but he deliberately turned away to mean that he didn't want them. After all, he had lots and he had given them to her. Rummaging in his bag, he grabbed his favourite sweet and slid it onto Shina's desk in front of her. Then he said, "Shina.. this is Sherrie." He gestured besides him, "Sherrie, this is Shina." He gestured towards Shina who was sitting in front of him.

Sherrie nodded to Sam then started to eat the sweets herself, staring thoughtfully out of the window. When she heard Sam introducing her she smiled shyly at the girl, "Hey, nice to meet you." She said quietly. She glanced quickly at Sam for support before looking back at Shina. She fidgeted awkwardly on her desk and looked around the room, her nervousness obvious. She felt shy and uncomfortable meeting new people and hoped Shina didn't take it personally.

Sam who was watching Sherrie, told Shina quickly, "Don't take it personally. Sherrie's always like that, she can't stop fidgeting.. it's like a disease or something." He grinned again boyishly and began to laugh at her. She gave him a look but he didn't care. He fished out some more sweets and began to munch on them, trying to contain his laughter.

Sherrie saw that Sam was watching her and knew he was going to laugh at her for some reason. Sure enough, he started laughing. She glared at him, furious with him for embarassing her in front of Shina. She was trying to make a good impression... With great effort she stopped glaring at him and turned back to Shina, smiling apologetically. When Sam finally stopped laughing she gave him her worst look so he knew this wasn't over.

Shinara nodded at Sherrie as she was introduced to her. She sat down and quietly thanked Sam for the candy. When he joked about Sherrie's fidgeting she smiled a little and turned to her. Seeing that she was mad at him Shinara said, "Don't be so nervous, I'm not as scary as I look... Actually I'm not very good with people." She turned away a little and sighed, "Usually everyone looks at me like i'm a monster or something and leaves me alone... People are so strange, they always assume that if I look like this then I must be a bad person." As she spoke to her she looked down at herself, she liked how she looked but not many others did. After a second she stopped herself, looked up again, and awkwardly smiled, "I'm sorry, I was just ranting a little i guess... I don't really know how to deal with people very well."

Sherrie was shocked, "I'm not scared of you!" She nearly laughed, "I'm not very good with people either, I'm quite shy and people assume I'm an idiot and avoid me." She shrugged and tried to laugh it off, "I don't think you're a bad person. And I like the way you look," She smiled shyly to herself, she'd never been able to afford clothes she liked and she envied Shina for being able to look how she wanted, "It's ok, don't worry."

Shinara smiled at her, "Well I suppose you can sort of understand then, though I usually avoid people on purpose... but I guess I don't like not answering people..." She looked away for a second and sighed, what a stupid thing that was. As much as she didn't like to talk to people she always felt the need to answer any questions she could. It was mainly her way of keeping things right in everyone's head, because assumptions could be a lot worse than the truth.

Shinara looked down at the sweet Sam had given her, she had almost forgotten about it. She picked it up to examine it and smiled, it had been a while since she had one of them and she couldn't help but thank him again for it.

Sherrie smiled and nodded, she could understand that. Shina turned away and she looked back down at her fingers, forcing herself not to fidget. She found herself biting her lip and realised that Sam was right, her fidgeting really was a disease or something. She was still mad at him though, he didn't have to point it out to someone she'd barely met. She looked up at him but her hair was in the way so she sighed and lay her head on her arms.

Sam laughed as he looked at the girls, each fidgeting in different ways and looking around awkwardly. How strange they are... he thought. Then he grabbed another sweet and unwrapped it carefully trying as much as he could to savour the taste. "No problemmo Shina," He grinned. Then he leaned back in his chair and looked at the wall his mind elsewhere.
