Templeton High is a school in the year 3000. Vast technological and social changes have swept the United States, causing everything to be very different than today. There are several social groups at this and most other schools in the state, which I will list below. But first, the rules.


Rules

Swear only if the situation or character demands it. No excessive swearing.

Romance is allowed, but please keep it PG-13. You can also have as many boyfriends/ girlfriends as you wish, just prepare for social consequences!

This isn't really a rule, but if you want to have a social group I haven't listed, please PM and I'll probably approve it and make a description of it.

Please refrain from using leet-speak or txt talk. I don't care if your grammar is perfect but I'd like it to be legible!

Follow TOS! Obviously. :roll:

If someone doesn't appear for a while we can move around them, but please wait at least two days unless they say they're going to be gone.

-Clique Types-
Wire-heads- Always on their phones, they generally have sets right on their tongues or a thin wire to their mouths. This allows them to talk sub-vocally in class. They generally have lots of friends, although sometimes they're all online.

Tekkies- They fix and make all sorts of technology, so they're very popular. Often will make the trends that wire-heads use.

Cleanliers (very few)- Forgo technology as a protest or for religious reasons. Most refuse to even use computers for homework, and use paper and pencil instead. also known as Cleanies.

Speed Freaks- Some are tekkies that need an adrenalin rush, others use the service of one. Create new sports and are always putting themselves in danger.

Tech Disabled (not Cleanlyer)- For some reason there remains those who can't use technology. Some have thick fingers, others have bioelectric waves that interfere with technology. These are also rare, and sometimes may say they're a cleanlier instead.

Outliers- They don't fit into any of these groups or refuse to fit. Sometimes they're a mix of groups that don't mesh, or they can be an outcast from the group they chose, for whatever reason.

Appearance or picture: She wears luminescent green contacts, but her eyes are brown. She wears her hair in medium-length lavender spikes. She's pretty in an unconventional way. Her fingernails are rainbow colored, and shift colors. She has finger-armour to protect her when she's working with sharp objects.
Personality: Very forward, she knows what to do and gets it done. She is "one of the boys". Secretly, she's a romantic though. She is not afraid to criticize others.
Other: She always has her floating robot Blip who follows her around. Her parents work in LA so she lives by herself. She sends them holographic messages every day.

Name: Lilian or Lili for short

Appearance or picture: Lili dyes her hair often so the color changes frequently. She keeps her hair short. She is taller then the average person and lean. She wears glasses.
Personality: She is quite and shy but if pushed has been know to voice her opinions very vocaly. She loves most technology but hates body adjustments. That's why she keeps her glasses.
Other: She doesn't fit in groups very well. She makes money by working on tech but spends it all on old fashion books. She lives with her divorced mother.

Appearance or picture: She wears purple contacts with a pair of fake glasses over them because she likes the color and hates that her real eyes are two different colors. Her hair is very long it passed her bottom and its colors change very often. She also has 21 piercings in her ears alone. she is quite a tall one almost too tall for her body type but it makes her have an exotic edge. She's quite a beauty but dont say that to her face she is no good with complements. She tends to dress in black though you can find her wearing colors on occasion. She has a think for wearing leather and chains
Personality: shes quite quiet it normally will take a lot to piss her off but certain things will really make her fume. She thinks body adjustments are for the most part useless whats the point of looking like everyone else and be a stupid clone? She finds that glasses make her look better. she has a clam attitude, even when people are fliping out on her, aslong as they dont talk about certain things that is. her motto is "mess with me and i will mess with you 10 fold, mess with my family and you are sooooo dead"
Other:wonders if she should have them adjust her proportions a little.. shes not a fain of the flying robot crap she doesn't care for it she finds the 20th century cars to be much more amusing she owns a 2010 camaro All of which she has modified on her own so that she can drive it on the road as well as have it fly somewhere if needed. she also owns a pet fox<3

Mica twisted the two copper wires together, and wrapped insulation around them. She could, of course, buy them like that, but she found the work soothing. And she needed soothing. Her parents didn't understand! They thought this was some kind of fad, that she would settle down and become a doctor. It was still a profitable profession, but so was the tech industry! Her parents and her relatives stretching back to her Grandfather who came to Ellis Island were doctors. Mica hated medicine, would never be comfortable doing it. Building machines was like breathing. She built a few more wires, before she began to calm down. She was building a music system that would adjust to her tastes and find new music for her, including very underground bands. She connected the wires to a speaker, and sighed. Why did her parents have to be so traditional?

Sonia walked into school with a sigh,she wanted to stay in her car a little while longer and listen to her own sound system. When she walked into the room she looked around wondering who was also here She frowned a little looking at Mica "Thats a pretty whicked sound system you got there are you fixing it? whats the make?" She paused looking her over"Hey/ Whats wrong with you you look like you could kill something." she asked while walking around her and taking a seat

Mica moved a fallen spike out of her eyes.

"My parents are being totally tech-disabled. They want me to be a doctor, and I hate medicine. Family tradition and all. That's why I'm making it. I'm surprised no else has done it yet. It's a music player that adjusts to your tastes. It also picks up music playing in the area, including live bands. I'm hoping to find some wired local stuff that way." Mica's eyes shone as she explained, her mood temporarily lifted.

((By the way, tecdh-disabled in this case is slang for someone who is older and being uncool. Feel free to make up other slang.))

" Wow, I dont have to deal with any of that i live here on my own but man that's pretty harsh them trying to force you into doing something that you cant enjoy. Especially when you've got some serious talent with technology Wanna make me one of those in a more portable size or one that can fit into my ancient car." She took another look at the music player " So hows it going to work?"

Lili walked into the classroom with her nose stuck in a book. She started to move to a chair in the back but stopped when she heard two girls talking about music. She looked over at the girl with spiky hair. She brushed her own teal hair out of her eyes.
"Your making a new sound system? That's a neat idea. Good luck with it."
Lili sat in the seat behind the girl with spiky hair.

When Lili walked in to the room Sonia immediately looked over she smirked slightly at the teal hair it looked good on her though Sonia felt her hair, Which was presently purple with two black strips in the front looked better. She was surprised that Lili didnt walk into anything as she went to sit down. " Nice hair" she said trying to be nice about it

"hm..." Lili placed her finger in her book and looked up. She looked at the girl's long purple and black hair. "Thank you. Your hair's nice too, if a bit impracticle. Long hair is so hard to take care of." She looked back down at her book and started reading.

She couldn't help but to laugh a little. She was happy to see back a bone."actually all i do is wash it. i don't brush my hair or anything though sometimes i will put it up or something depending on the weather" Seeing that Mica was deeply involved in her work again she lent over to look atlili's book " So what are you reading is it good?"

Mica looked up and realised she hadn't answered the girl's question. "Once I work out the bugs I'd be happy to build you one. I'm building it bigger to find out all the bugs easier, but once I do that it should be fairly easy to make it smaller. This will take at least a week, and a week after that for the smaller one. But I'd be happy to." She went back to her tinkering.

she smiled over at Mica "Sweet i cant wait just one thing though im pretty tight on the cash so i should know the price before you make me one alright?" She said still waiting on the 'teal book worm to answer the question as well it did come across her mind to just take the book and look to find out what it was on her own

((I'm going to bed now so this is my last one for tonight!))

"Hmm. Well, do this for fun, but I could use some extra cash. How does 500 creds sound? ((equal to $50)) I can go lower, but not by much. I would like to at least cover material costs. Is there a color you'd like? I can add a cool shell." Mica's mouth twitched as she tried to put a thread of wire into a tiny connection. It slipped in and she went to work on the next one.

Lili looked back up from here book at the purple haired girl. "Then it must get kind of ratty. Though I do love long hair when it is up." She looked down at her book then held it up so that Sonia could see it. "It's called In the Past. It is about life before all the tech. I find it very interesting to learn about the past. You?"

She smiled the price wasn't bad at all especially for brand mew technology mica could have made a hell of a lot more off her if she had wanted to."I can do that but do you mind if i pay you in two payments 250creds at a time I don't mind paying for it all together but it would just take me longer and then atleast you can buy some of the parts you need in the beginning and then get the rest later. As for my color preference changes pretty often.... so i guess i cant go wrong if i choose Rainbow =)" The then looked back at Lili

"my hair doesn't really get knotty or RATTY" She laughed "you can feel it if you don't believe me. Along as i condition it i don't really need to brush it. though i will for fun on occasion or when i want to make a braid" She lent over to her so that her hair dangled though did make sure her hair did not touch the book "Strangely enough i own that book i bought it maybe a week ago the most. Nice choice =)" she said still keeping her hair off the book so she could read and talk to her

"Cool. I'll mark that down." Mica got out a ePhone, the sister to the iPhone developed by a company called Eiro in the 500's. The design had held up well. Mica turned it to the listmaker function and put in the words "Make sound system in Rainbow."

"I wonder what's taking teach so long?" They were taught by a real person, unlike some classes where they had a hologram that spoke in real time from the moon or elsewhere. They culd have used robots, but a law was signed to make sure teachers still had jobs.

Lili shook her head no. She was not found of touching. But she smiled at the book comment. "I've had it for awhile and read it a few times. It is very well written and just wish there were more good books on the subject." Lili shrugged then glanced at the other girl.
"Your right the teacher is taking a long time. I hope she is alright."

"Thats a pretty fancy phone you got there its the e-phone right?." she said looking at the ePhone, "i wish i had a fancy dancy phone like that in fact i dont own one i did but i couldnt keep up with the payments" She looked to the door " Do you think Teach took the day to sleep in? if she does that too often there going to replace her with one of those silly hologram Teachers instead of her...."

Sonia smiled and moved her hair away from Lilith "Alright thats cool but please dont call it ratty again okays?"=) She said with a laugh her mood getting better as well. "I've havent gotten to read it yet but from the way you speak about it it must be a great book I cant wait to start on it now =)

"Note i am not trying to be rude or uncaring but if the teacher doesnt come soon do you think class is canceled?"

"I hope they don't. I like the real teachers so much more. And if she did sleep in that will just be one more reason to make them hate hiring teachers."

Lili looked at Sonia. "Sorry 'bout that. I tend to have the problem of not watching my tongue." Lili made mouthing motions with her hands then smiled. "It is a rather good book."

Lili looked back towards the door then back at Sonia and Mica. "I don't know. I'm going to wait a bit longer but if she doesn't show I think I might skip and go shopping."

"That's okay. I have that problem too, sometimes. I got this second-hand in exchange for a commission I did. And that's why I'm asking you to pay for it. Yeah, she's usually not late though. I wonder if she got in a traffic accident? I guess that'll be more time to work on my sound system..." Mica smiled.

"Yea me too those hologram things you think they wouldn't notice things but man they notice like everything you cant trick them like you can a real teacher. Plus the holograms can be suck jerks and you cant even hit them

Sonia looks back at Lili. "It's fine...It's fine. I have a tendency to have the problem of not watching my tongue as well. In a sense i think i am glad that we all don't have much of a fear of speaking our minds." Sonia wondered what the mouth motions were about though decided not to question it. "Heh i'm sure it really is =)"

"like i said i dont care about the paying for it its all about being able to do it half at a time cause otherwise the ancient car and the home i live in are not going to be happy with me when one of them disappears. . Is she the owner of the only other old car from this school? I wonder if shes done any work to it or if it still as a v-block and oil in it."

"For me i think ill take the car to the park and work on it or lay on top of the old thing whatever comes first i guess. Most likely the working on it and making all the tekkies look at me weird =) uhhhh No offense Mica.
