Ivan smiled and clapped. He couldn't contain himself and ran up to Thorn and patted her on the back. "that was great, I knew you could do it." He said with a huge smile on his face. "yes, you did fantastic." the Bald Eagle said but it only made sence to Ivan. Sma jumped onto Throns shoulder and hugged her neck happly.

Coach Boomer glared at the student and... squirrel? As they congratulated Thorn. "Hey, hey, hey, try not to get on the lady's good sides before you're even sorted. For all you know, you-" Boomer poked Ivan's chest "- could end up as a sidekick, and a hero like her-" he poked Thorn's head "- might not want to have anything to do with you anymore."
That was Coach Boomer's subtle way of telling the whole class that Thorn was now a hero.
Not waiting for the cheers, exlamations and shouts of encouragement, Boomer pointed at Ivan. "Seeing's you're so bold as to get on my platform without my permission, you can be next. Jump off," Coach added to Thorn in a growl.

Ivan looked at Coach Boomer and smiled "Well I have two powers just to say" he said softly and then turned to Thorn smiled at her and watched her leave. Then turned to the whole class and took a deep breath. Then let out a huge Eagle cry that hurt almost everyone ears. At first nothing happend but then something shattered the window and flew towards Ivan. When it landed next to Ivan everyone could see that it was a Hawk. Ivan smiled at it and said "would you be kind enought to go and land on my teachers shoulder." the hawk nodded and flew over to coach boomer and landed on his shoulder. Ivan then turned to Coach Boom and put his palm put and made a water ball. "I know how to use my animal talking power but I am not sure how to use my water power without hurting people" he said as he threw the waterball at a wall and when it splashed onto the wall it froze. "see, I didn't intend for it to freeze." he said as he looked at the Coach.

Boomer didn't move when Ivan gave the harsh eagle cry; he was used to loud noises. And he wasn't all that impressed when the eagle came and landed on his shoulder, because it promptly dug it's claws into the fleshy part. But, he was impressed by both the way Ivan had some control over what the animals did and also that he had two very different powers.

"You need some major training in the water power," Boomer growled, "But controlling animals could be a real plus if you're fighting large numbers..." Boomer winced as the eagle on his shoulder dug in it's claws again.

"You're a hero, so get this damn thing OFF ME!!"

The eagle gave a cry of fright and flew back to Ivan.

Boomer glared around the class again, rubbing his shoulder, and his eyes fell upon the strangest student he'd seen yet. "Kid with the mask, up."

Ivan happy jumped off and ran over to Thorn. He was happy that he was a Hero and that he had a new Hawk friend. But the Hawk soon left since it had to go hunt. Ivan was sad to see it go but was happy he still had Sam and the Blad eagle with him. Sam had stayed iwth Thorn when he was showing his powers and was still on her shoulder when he came back.

(So, will all future italics and bold text combined together from Boomer mean he's sonicbooming? xD)


So much for trying to be inconspicious, Damien thought, and sighed. He walked up to the platform, taking off his gloves as he went. When he reached Boomer (but at a distance, so he could see if the coach was about go and blast someone's ears off again and be able to clamp his hands over his ears before being deafened), he stuck out a hand, palm up, towards the teacher. For a moment nothing happened, and just as Boomer was about to make a snide remark ("What, you expect me to shake your hand or something?"), an amber-colored liquid began pooling into the middle of his hand. Damien then tipped his palm over, allowing the liquid to splash onto the floor. A hissing sound was heard as the acidic poison begam melting the ground away, leaving a hole in the ground.

"I can also make other kinds of poison. Ones that can detroy your nervous system, ones that can rot away all your flesh but leave your nerves and bones intact, ones that can boil your blood and leave you convulsing to death." He said, the amber liquid disappearing back into his body as a greenish one appeared instead, then blue, purple, pink, and orange. He had a variety of poison and he could mix them together to create different effects if he wished. He did not display the power of being able to pass through objects, however. The old teacher had not known, and he had no intention of showing that to others until it was absolutely necessary. It would be his final card, only used when the situation is absolutely desperate. (Because seriously, what better technique is there, to be able to literally 'disappear' from whatever threat there may be?) It wouldn't be as useful if everyone knew about it.

Boomer studied the hole that the amber liquid had burned through. It seemed that the stuff the kid could make was a high-toxic type of acid; useful. Without making much comment, Boomer scribbled on his noteboard to mkae him look smarter, and announced, "Hero."

Without waiting for any form of response, Boomer once again cast his eyes about the students, picking out his next prey almost immediately. A rugged boy who'd been watching the proceedings without a word, which was a dire sign of nervousness. Then again, if he'd been bouncing around hyper he would have chosen him for the same reason. Oh well.

"Kid with the attitude, up here."

Ben blinked. He was sure he wasn't the only kid in this room with an attitude. Oh well. After glancing around once and giving an encouraging smile to Thorn, Ivan, Seth and Damien, Ben climbed the stairs and stood there for a moment.

Ben had no idea what he should do. Maybe he should make the school rock in a sudden gust of wind? Blow Coach Boomer's hat off? Make the air pressure so hard in here that no one could move?

Ben decided to use something that had already been used, just to show how effective his power could be. He concentrated his power on the strange liquid that had seeped from Damien's hand, which he could just see through the dark hole. A sudden gust of strong, fierce wind whipped through the room, over the head of the students and down into the hole. After a moment, the strange amber liquid rose slowly from the hole, and looked like some grotesque (sp?), ever-moving bubble.

Using a bit of trickery and air pressure, Ben made the glob of liquid float over the heads of the other students and, ignoring the outbursts and worried murmers, he proceeded to make the liquid seem to swim through the air above their heads, then swoop and dive so that they almost touched their hair. When no one seemed impressed, Ben brought the liquid back to the platform and let it drop back through the hole.

He glanced at Boomer. "Any good?"

(Somebody can say what happens, I feel like I'm god-modding again... >_<; )

Damien scoffed when the coach proceeded to scribble on his clipboard and announce his making into Hero class. The others beneath the platform may not have seen it, but he could see from between Boomer's arm and shoulder that instead of writing anything actually meaning something, he'd scribbled, "Arrogant cocky creepy thing Powers is so needing to give me a pay raise for making me d-" ...he didn't bother finish reading the rest.

He gave a nod to Ben as he passed him, since even if he smirked no one would see. He wasn't happy with him manipulating his poison however, and resisted the urge to bat the swirling ball of liquid while it passed over his head, crossing his arms over his chest instead.


Boomer wasn't happy. What's with all the talented little brats this year? Four Heroes in a row? The next one had better be a Sidekick...he was getting ready to blast someone's eardrums out.

Ben grinned, and hopped down from the platform. He walked over to join Thorn and Ivan.

Huffing a sigh, Boomer gave another quick scan of the students below. Yet again, one of them caught his eye. Maybe he should stop doing that; he hadn't been able to give a lot of criticism this sorting, and he was starting to get bored.
"Kid next to the heroes, let's see if you can keep your friends."

(That's meant to be Seth, by the way... the picture up front didn't work, so I don't know how to describe him >_<; )

Thorn nearly passed out when she was announced as a hero. Her grandmother said that she could get special training for her powers if she was a hero, so there was that to look forward to. She nearly passed out again when Ivan went and hugged her, so she went to the heroes and tried to look as small as possible.

((@Palmoun: Oh... but we can't continue until he comes back, cuz Boomer needs to sort him... maybe we can do that yadda yadda BOOM thing and say that Seth becomes a hero? o.O

@Silver: yeah 4th of July is improtant but my sucked since the police didn't want us to sent any fireworks off. But a lot of people did and it was fun watching people set off fireworkd then run off before the police cought them))

But at least your police actually does something...here during festivals a bunch of people send off firecrackers and mini rockets that make one heck of a mayhem, but most of the time the police just ignores it despite the law saying they're illegal. The firecrackers and rockets have burned down many places but no one ever really takes it seriously.

Ben grinned at Seth as he stepped down from the podium. "Well done," he complimented him. He motioned for him to join him, Thorn and Ivan in their little circle. Ben glanced around for Damien, hoping that he might join them too.

(lol, really loud booms this time, eh? xD)


Damien had his hands clasped over his ears; the last few sonicbooms from the damned coach when Seth had made it into Heroes had been anything but pleasant. Rubbing his ears and muttering a few choice cuss words, he watched as Boomer chewed the next few kids out, throwing them into the Sidekick class despite one who had the ability to create insane body heat that burned through the floor had a pretty impressive power (but very close-ranged, which he suspected was the main reason Boomer had latched onto to throw the poor kid into Sidekick's).

He saw Ben's expective gaze and rolled his eyes, but walked over to them anyways.

"Congrats, everyone." He drawled, keeping his tone light-hearted. And let's hope none of you will stand in my way in the future, were the non-spoken words.
