"Was that a cheesy pick up line or was he serious?" Cecilia thought as she tried to read his face and when he spoke again she became more confused and then "poof" he was a dragon. "Yep, this is defiantly a dream," She mumbled and turned to walk away hoping he'd be gone.

Drake stopped her by blocking her tail with his path.

"You DO realize that I'm telepathic in this form, right? And no, it wasn't a cheezy pick up line. I am certain that you have angelic ancestry from someone in your family. But it is very faint."

He tilted his head to the side, "Do you often dream of dragons or am I the lucky one?"


Victoria was on pins and needles, waiting to see how this would play out....

"Great," Cecilia rolled her eyes, "As if I need a mind reader..." This was true, she usually spoke her thoughts aloud, even if they were... inappropriate sometimes. "I doubt it," She mumbled. No one in her family was good enough to be an angel, not even her. She sighed at his last line, cheesy. "O well," She said and grinned, "No I don't dream of dragons often and apparently this isn't a dream so I still haven't.... yet."

Drake chuckled, "I don't know if I appreciate being called cheesy, but I suppose I deserved that one...."

He shifted back into his human form. "What's so bad about mind readers anyway? Not all of us intentionally ease drop you know."


Victoria let out a sigh and leaned against Seiki. "That was close...." Seiki nodded.

"I just meant I didn't need one," Cecilia shrugged, "I speak my thoughts out loud for the most part." A bad habit she gained from being left alone a lot. Silence wasn't something she enjoyed so she spoke aloud and sometimes even talked to inanimate objects.

"Ever consider singing instead? I took up sining to clear my thoughts so I wouldn't get caught trying to run away for the odd week or two. Its very daunting when your the only heir to a vast estate. Having to learn how to be a proper gentleman is one thing. But learning diplomacy that it requires to be a lord is something completely different. Especially having to learn all those other languages...."

Large Estate. Gentleman. Lord. "I hit jack pot," Cecilia said, she hadn't heard anything else he really said so she tried to think back so she didn't seem too shallow, she knew guys didn't like that. "Singing, oh yes," She said remembering now, "It's not the same as talking though."

"No I suppose not, but at least you have an easier time staying out of trouble with it...."

Drake sighed and faked a smile, thinking that Cecilia was a bit shallow right now. But hoping that in returning her faith in love he could open her eyes to the world.

Cecilia shrugged, "I don't care what others think really." She was used to being alone and it didn't bother her what other people thought of her.

"I really don't either, just as long as people think highly of me. That is one of many steps to being a successful lord. It is something I take seriously. What I DO think is unfair is that what people think of who I associate with also reflects back to me. Take my mother for example. She's a beautiful, shallow woman who just sits around all day doing nothing. It makes my father have to work twice as hard or people will think that he is lazy. It makes it difficult for him to control the empire he worked so hard to build."

Cecilia frowned. He made it sound like a bad thing to just want to sit around all day and do nothing. How could it be bad? She couldn't hurt anyone if she was laying around. No one could blame her. It was the perfect way to avoid people and feelings. And what, so now he's some prince. Well she did want a prince, but only in her dreams, in reality she was less interested in the idea. If she had to work and if everyone knew who she was because she married him well that wasn't on her list of goals. "Forget it," She said and headed toward the school. She'd find someone who wasn't so high in status.

(XD She just wants to make things so much harder.)

Leon walked out of the shadows, his rest was complete moments ago, though he listened to bits and pieces. "This place just gets more interesting as time passes on." he said petting and owl that was on his shoulder.

Drake rose an eyebrow, "Forget what? Not being cold while your entertaining guests at a party that your many servants have planned and decorated? That's what I was talking about.... My mother acts so cold and rude that my father has to try twice as hard to warm people over."

He smiled, "And what's wrong with a little traveling? Haven't you ever wanted to go shopping in Paris, France or Milan, Italy. Or attend a Venetian Ball to dance in an elaborate dress under the stars and fireworks?"

"If you haven't noticed, I'm not much of a people person," Cecilia said turning to face him. She frowned and sighed, "I guess we just met so you don't me that well." She never thought of traveling, maybe if she went by herself it wouldn't be so bad, but she never thought of going with people. The idea of it kind of annoyed her, to have to worry about someone else besides herself, she didn't like that idea.

"No on says you have to be social. Just show up and look beautiful. You just have to be polite. There's no point in making friends with royalty. Most of them tend to be rather dull if you ask me.... One of few things that my mother delights in is out dressing her guests. Her exquist gowns made of the finest silk money can buy. The elegant jewels... Not to mention that my family has one of the biggest castles...."

"Um, and standing out is also not something I do," Cecilia said getting kind of annoyed. She used to think being royalty would be fun, but it turned out to be the exact opposite. Plus she could careless for a castle, a mansion would be just fine. Maybe in reality she didn't care so much about being rich as being comfortable, now that she thought about it. She didn't want to have to worry about money, that was the main thing. She just wanted to stay home whether or not is was just a normal house or a castle.

Drake smiled, "Good. Because that's one of the things I hate about my mother. She always had to be the best, the brightest, the loudest, and the most gaudy. For a lady she has no class at all..."

"Sounds like you don't like your mom," Cecilia frowned. She never heard of anyone talking badly of their parents before except for the norm. You know the "I hate my mom. This is so unfair" type of thing that kills over within a few days.

Drake nodded, "And my father. I really have no desire to become a lord. Luckily I won't have to worry about it for a thousand years or so. Dragons pretty much live forever. So do the ones they love.... If they want immortality and eternal youth that is. Most do..."

"I'm not so sure about forever," Cecilia said and grinned, "But I wouldn't mind not aging."

Drake smiled, "Not to be cheesy or anything, but you have a beautiful smile Cecilia...."

"And yes. Not aging is always an advantage. Immortality on one hand can become dull after the first century or so I've been told... I'm only eighteen, but I'll probably be in my early to mid twenties for the rest of my life."

"um... thanks I guess," Cecilia murmured and sighed. She wasn't cut out for this type of conversation. She was so used to just making comments and talking to herself.

Drake tilted his head to the side, "Is something wrong?"

"Just not used to talking so much," Cecilia said feeling nervous for some reason. She closed her eyes and allowed the feeling to go away. She had no use for such things after all.

Drake smiled, "There is no need to feel nervous around me. Though you do a good job of not showing it. Something your father taught you?"
