"Hm," Ace turned his head in the direction of Lilee at the sound of books falling, "And I'm supposed to be more careful with books." He teased walking over to her as she set the shelves up in single snap.
|
"Well, it was an accident. Really" she said, well watching him as he walked closer. "I wasn't really paying attention to what I was doing, and really the bookshelf came out of no where." Lilee didn't know what was happening, but she felt like she was losing control over herself, and she knew that was a bad thing, a very bad thing. And some how she felt like he could sense it.
|
"Woah, chill," Ace laughed at how panicked she looked, "I was only kidding." He sighed. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to take blood from this one. She'd probably die of a heart attack.
|
"I'm sorry, I don't usually freak like that, I'm use people very much. You just.. just.." Lilee cut herself off before she rambled on. "I didn't mean to disturb your reading either" she said realizing what she had done. I've made a complete fool of myself, great job. You idiot, Lilee said to herself.
|
"Just what," Ace smirked wanting to know what was going on her head. She was a very interesting girl indeed.
|
"Just.." Lilee wasn't sure if she should continue or not. But she did anyways "...Your very intriguing for some reason, I've never met anyone like you.. your just so forward. It's something that I'm not really use to. I'm really not trying to be rude or anything" she blurted out really fast.
|
"I see," Ace nodded, "My bad. When you've been around for awhile, nothing really scares you anymore." He grinned and wondered what she would make of that.
|
..Been around for awhile? Trust me, I know all about it. That's what made me this way. Lilee said to herself. There were things no one knew about Lilee and that's how she liked it. She never talked about it or even thought about it; it gave her the shivers. "I guess.. that's understandable. Really, I'm not scared of you.. I just don't really know how to react.." she said, thinking; God that sounded so stupid.
|
"Ah, well I was explaining my straight fowardness," Ace smirked. He leaned in closer to get a better look at her. Maybe he'd bite her in her sleep so she wouldn't notice or if she did, she might think it was just a dream. Though the two holes in her neck might give it away. He sighed, maybe it would just be easier to ask.
|
She could tell that he was thinking about something deeply. I wonder what it is, Lilee thought. "You're not a regular-type student..." she said, thinking out loud. Lilee turned to the bookshelf to straighten up the books. "So, may I ask why you came here.." She had became so curious about him, she just kept wanting to know more.
|
"Schools are the best place for finding people," Ace shrugged and grinned, "especially girls." This was the truth, well part of it, the other part was making it easier for him to access blood, but he didn't think now was a good time to mention that he was a vampire. Maybe he would let her figure it out herself and find another victim for tonight.

Zia yawned as he walked down the halls of the familiar, homey school. 'I really missed this place.' He said to himself, 'Wonder if they have any new books.' Tucked under his right arm was a very old book about alchemy and how it affected the human body. He had found it when he was getting ready for school and realized that it was a book that he forgot to return.... a year ago. Senka yelled at him for a good 10 minutes about his stupidity before giving him money for the late fee.
"She didn't have to hit me though..." He mumbled under his breath. Zia turned a corner and almost did a double take. There in front of him was a blue haired girl trying to carry what looked like her backpack down the hall from the libaray. He had seen her around but had forgotton her name. He walked over to her and blinked. "Um... do you need help?" He asked. |
"Oh.. oh.." She whispered almost. Lilee took that the wrong, but she didn't realize what he was actually trying to say. Great, get yourself caught up, in some guy, that firstly is a student, second obviously likes a lot of girls... stupid stupid.. stupid! Her mind raced, not knowing really what to say, she never really felt this way before, and it was all new to her. She pulled her hair back from her face, and put it into a lose ponytail, while watching him still.
|
"Oh, look she's speechless," He teased and grinned. She was defiantly the shy type which meant she had to have tasty blood. He liked teasing the more aggressive type though, it was fun to see them get mad and try to hit him. If only there was a way for two contrasting personalities to be combined.
|
"Well, if you wouldn't be all mysterious.." waves her arms around "and stuff, then I wouldn't be like this!" she stared at with a grouch face. Why, does he do that, huh, is that how he gets them.. she yelled in her head. Trying to fight the urge to yell at him.

Having finished polishing his shoes and making sure his coat no long had a thick layer of dust on it from having hung on a chandeliar a while ago 'installing' a prank, Eramthgin stood up and picked up his Polly, a long, thick iron bar (much like a crowbar, but straight, longer, and thicker) he had named. This was his 'default' weapon for hitting anyone who might be causing trouble. If Polly didn't work, he had some other things up his sleeve...but he wasn't entirely sure they were allowed in the school, so he'd rather stick with the bar until it was absolutely necessary. |
"What what what?!" Bon turned her head around and around. Was someone talking to her? Then she noticed a blond haired boy in the hallway. "Are you talking to me?" Then she realised what that boy had asked. Help? With these?! Bon had managed to squeeze nearly all of the books in the empty space in her bags. It still looked hard to walk with them since four of the books didn't fit there anymore so she had to carry them while dragging two heavy bags.
"No, I'm just fine" then she started to hurry. She had heard a plate's droppings from another room! Plates dropping= clumsy people eating! She thought and opened the door with a waiting smile. |
She paused from her reading for just a moment, intense eyes the color of storms sweep upward to peer curiously at her librarian. Lilee was a good friend of hers, who loved books as much as she, and Marme knew she had chosen well in selecting her as the librarian for the school. After all, they housed the books that were most important to this england, and what better pair of matrons to protect them than the two, Marme and Lilee? She offered a pleasant smile, and her slender hand reached for her cup of tea, taking a delicate sip. Blueberry. It was a Blueberry medley and it was one of her personal favorites, it reminded her of the berry growth after the rains.
After the rains, various berries of all kinds cropped up all around the academy. Some were sweet, some were sour. Some tasted like chocolate. All were edible and none toxic. She stands then with a fluid grace, and as she does this, two small, three foot tall steamwork anamatrons [ like steampunk robots ] appear, and with their slightly jarred movements, they take the tea and tray, and with gears and cogs spinning, they waddle out the library and down to the mess hall. The Lady was done with her evening tea. She smooths out the skirts with her hand, and she takes her book, marking her place with a lone ribbon of black, she slides it with the greatest care into the shelving spot it belongs. It's rightful place. Smiling at Lilee, she nods gently, admiring the woman's dedication and care for the books, herself stepping out of the library and into the hall, ears still listening to the faint sounds of fat rain. |
Eloise sat in her office, getting all her materials cleaned up and ready for the next class. She then stands, walking to her wall high bookshelf. She was done for the day and wanted to curl up with a good book. She began to climb up the long ladder, unafraid of the distance she was putting between herself and the floor. She continued to climb until she found the book she wanted, and old alchemy book from her father's time. Resting her hand on the cover, Eloise sighed. It had been so long since that day, that she had nearly forgotten his face, but she still missed him dearly. Staying perched atop the ladder, she gently goes through the pages, not wanting to accidentally tear and damage them since they were so old.
|
Ace chuckled at her little outburst, but became silent as the headmistress passed by. He hoped she didn't care too much about him picking on the librarian. He was probably older than her anyway and a crooked smiled appeared on his face. Once the headmistress was out of sight he asked, "So when do you get done?"
Marcella heard a distant humming and groaned, "Someone needs music lessons. Please don't come to me..." She was exhausted and the awful voice just made her feel worse. "I need a warm bath," She mumbled as she turned into another hallway which led out of the school and to the teacher's rooms. |
Bonnedon was eating in the hallway. She hadn't found anyone from the dining hall, but obviously someone had been there since the broken plate was still on the floor. No food wasn't even served there, so Bon just had to buy snack food from a vending machine. After that she felt uncomfortable alone in a huge hall that she decided to eat in the hallway. It was empty too, but atleast Bon could hear voices coming from every direction and make her feel better. Footsteps, talking, whispering and... hoovering? The voice came closer and closer. And then, behind the corner, a strange small machine turned to her hallway. It was made of copper and iron, and it seemed to be somekind of cleaning machine.
"Nice..." Bon whistled. She did love airships, but she also had interests in other machines, and such a fascinating machine was completely new for her! She stared it. And it came closer. Finally it hit Bon's leg and started to back up a little. Then, it hit the leg again. And back up! Just when Bon was about to move her leg a bit to let the poor machine go, it... turned off with a sad sounding whining. Small steam lines started to come out from it and Bon began to panic: "Aw, shais, I broke it!!!" She threw last sandwich's piece to her mouth and started to dig her bags: "Where is my toolcase...?" |
Lilee saw Marme nod, she gracefully nodded back at the woman. Marme, had inspired her so much and was so grateful to her for giving her the job at the Academy. Lilee had never had a job like this, and never could keep a job, she hoped that she could keep this job forever.
Lilee looked at Ace deeply, "Well, around 9 or 10ish, depending on how the night goes..." she trailed off, trying to figure out what he was planning. |
She read the book for some time before gently setting it back. Gripping the sides of the ladder, she slid down instead of stepping down it and walked to her desk. "Let's see what do I have scheduled for tomorrow..." She looked at her itinerary and her eyes widened... Welding. Were her students ready for welding art?? Some of them seemed to appreciate the more artistic side of their iron and steam world, but others... didn't take so well. Eloise sighed heavily and set the page down on its proper stack and hoped for the best. "Maybe they'll surprise me." She said with a little hint of hope in her young voice. She walked to her door, stepping through it and locking it behind her before she began making her way to her dorm. Eloise was glad to have her own room in this section. Too often was she confused for a student due to her looks and height. Sometimes she didn't mind it and would at rare occasions tease and play along with the students and left them to figure it out. But other times it only served to remind her of that horrible accident.

"O....kay then." Zia muttered when he saw the girl run off. That's when he saw what seemed to be a tool case near where the girl first stood. He walked over to it and picked it up. 'This might be hers...' He started down the hallway, finally tracking down the blue-haired girl in minutes. She was talking to a cleaning robot... A broken cleaning robot. She looked like she was panicking as she dug into her bag and Zia couldn't help but chuckle.
"I'm sorry, is this yours?" He interrupted while holding up the tool case in his hand. Senka strided down the hall with her head held high and her right hand gripping her sword's hilt gently. She had finished all the necessary paperwork for the first day and went over her schedules for the following days. However, she did not know who would be attending her classes, so she decided to pay the headmistress a visit. She turned the next corner and spotted a familiar face. It was Eloise Heinreich; the Social Arts Professor. She had seen the young-looking teacher around, but never got the chance to introduce herself. 'Might as well be polite.' She thought as she got closer to her. "Hello Eloise." Senka greeted with a nod, slowing her powerful stride. |
"I see," Ace said and grinned, "Want to go out?" Of course he had other plans besides a date, like drinking her blood, but she didn't need to know that now.
