"Oh yes, just... ugh... a broken rib and a sore leg, but I'll survive," he said as he hugged her back, "Wow girl, you feel like a... electric heated pillow, hehe!" he noted. He thought about giving her one of his pillows, but he would next time she came home.

"Hey you two lovedoves, do I have to remind you you're in Fight class to FIGHT?!" a teacher shout at them. "Sheeesh, man!" Iunane said with a grimace as he took out a prescription from his pocket. The teacher quickly said, "You have MENTAL powers, do me a favour for once and stop loafing around! Little bastard..." Iunane looked at Kai, "Guess it can't be helped, are you coming...?"

kai growled walking over to the teacher, she was already in a bad mood, her hand eruped in flames this caused the teacher's eyes to widen "talk to us like that again and you're going to become a cooked sausage, got it?" her voice was suddenly vicious, her ears pressing back against her head, she wouldnt be pushed around, not anymore "appologize" she hissed, her silver eyes well defined, accentuating her slitted pupils. She'd gone through unbelieveable transformations while iunane was gone. She came into her full powers of being a werecat.

Iunane had a surprised expression on his face. Then worry, 'Oh damn, they're going to make my life a living hell after this....' he thought. Trying to fix the situation, he used his powers to calm both of them down, and before the teacher could say anything, he said "Hey! Look! I'm lifting Kai~!" as he used his telepathic powers to take her away from him.

The teacher was glaring at him. Iunane could hear "Can't send catgirl, but will send the little bastard to the principal... right after class" in his mind. He decided he would dissappear inmediatly after the bell rang to avoid more problems.

kai immdeiately broke free from his grasp "why? why cant you send me hm? i dont have any immunity" her voice was a harsh growl, for once she wanted to protect iunane and she would do it "you get him into further trouble" she grinned "and you'll be missing a certain part of your anatomy that you favor oh so much"

The teacher looked at Iunane, "Take her away and I won't--" before the teacher could complete his offer, Iunane exclaimed, "OKAY!" and inmediatly teleported both Kai and himself to the infirmary. The nurse wasn't there, as it was most of the time. While he took off his glasses, he looked into Kai's feline eyes and said, "I know how annoying these teachers can be, but please understand I'm not in the position of arguing with them now that the school has resorted to sending notes to my dad." He closed his eyes for a couple of seconds, showing the seriousness of his black eye. "It would help me a lot of you ignored them, I don't want any of us in trouble, promise?" he said as he opened his eyes again, which seemed to be glowing with a faint gold.

she looked over at him, her eyes burning into him "iunane, i need to get all attention off of you so you dont get into trouble, if i show the teachers that if they mess with you they'll get punished by me, then they'll leave you alone. It's about dominance" she sighed, she shifted her body so that she was on her knees in front of him looking into his eyes "i cant let this happen to you again" tears rolled down the sides of her face, even thoguh she was angry, she was hurt for not being able to protect him

Iunane sighed. She wouldn't change her mind, so he didn't bother trying. Instead, he put her arms around her, a hand on her head, and tried to calm her. "Hey hey don't worry, I should learn how to defend myself, c'mon Kai, don't cry..." he could feel her heat, 'Don't be angry at me, please...' he thought, worried he might have just hurt the only close friend he had. He also thought about how he has hurt people in the past because of his defects. Iunane couldn't help but feel like the bastardic jerk he used to be, the one he hoped he had buried a year ago.

"you didnt hurt me" she sniffled holding herself as close to him as she could without hurting him "i'm not mad at you.. it's them i'm mad at, i'm tired of them pushing us around, pushing you around, i dont want to see you hurt.. ever" her voice trembled and heat slowly simmered down, she let her tears slow and eventually stop thinking of how she could help him "you're staying with me from now on" she spoke in a shy but confident tone "i know how to keep you safe, you're staying with me"

As he held her close and combed her hair with his fingers, he wondered if there was a better way to make her stop worrying. Then, she said it. Iunane asked, "Kai... what do you mean by... 'staying with me'?" a worried expression on his face.

"cant you move out of your parents home and into my apartment? i have three bedrooms i dont use and a whole second story that.. is well out of use as well" she blushed looking into his eyes hopeing that he could do this, that he would be free from his father, free to do as he pleased, like before.

"Hmm, I don't know... what are my options...?" Iunane thought hard about this, "I could diss the teachers, receive a last beating from my dad and find a job, or... I could stay, try to look good to them, and have all these priviledges..." He then noticed something, "Hey, now that you mention it... how do you afford your place?" he asked, as he formed a skeptic expression.

"well" she shivered "my great great grand mother was saint kai" she sighed "that's why what i say goes around this school, i'm the warden and only person to control the school. I fired the principal for being so mean to you and well.. to me" she sighed having dropped the biggest bombshell of her life.

"I must be the last one to know, heh..." he mentioned. The more he learned about her, the more strange she seemed. "Then..." he said as he closed his eyes and mid-bowed to her, "... I take the offer." His dad would be mad, but hell, he was going to be far from there by then.

kai looked at him "please dont bow to me, i'm still the same person" she offered "still your girlfriend" she blushed at her own words looking into his eyes, afraid that if she kissed him she'd hurt him.

"I know you're still the same girl, Kai," he smiled, "still my girlfriend." he finished, as he looked how she blushed. He thought about how in moments like these he didn't feel any fear, and, as he hugged her tight despite his broken rib, he kissed her passionately.

she smiled widely lightly pushing herself to him, her tail wrapped around his waist ever so slightly, she kissed him back her arms carefully wrapped around his neck. She smiled against his lips feeling as though she were able to control herself for the first time, usually sexual thoughts came into her mind but, having not seen him for a few days caused her to control her body so she could enjoy his hugs, his kisses and presence.

After finishing the kiss, Iunane asked in a low voice, "What do we do now, eh? Want to go to see a movie?" he suggested. They still had a day to enjoy, as his watch marked 11:56 am.

she nodded after smiling widely "horror flick?" she seemed genuinely happy, even though he was injured she was glad that he was happy, safe, and healing "do you need any pain killers? do you need to go to the hospital?" she bit her lower lip from nervous habit.

"Yes horror flicks, those are the best out there" he smiled, and then answered, "Oh, no, I just need to avoid comedies, laughing out loud hurts, heh..." he was going to say it hurt as if his ribcage were to explode, but decided omitting it would be best. "There, you bite your lip again!" he exclaimed with an amused look, "I was starting to miss it."

she giggled softly blushing from the sudden embarrassment of her nervous habit being pointed out to her "i missed you" she smiled looking into his eyes again, she allowed him to stand on his feet but immediately folded herself into his arms "i thought he killed you" she was not jokeing, her nightmares consisted of iunane's father beating him to death while kai sat helplessly at home.

"I'm sorry for making you worry like that... I should have contacted you or something... tell you he made sure it hurt but not to death... sorry." he said as he had her between his arms. She felt like a little creature, an innocent one that could break with a blow, in need of care. And he would care for her, just like she did care for him. Because she was worth it all. These thoughts revolved in his mind and echoed to his conscience.

she smiled and looked up into his eyes "you sure? If you want a place to stay the offer is still open" when she spoke she stood herself up, knowing the various movies out in the theaters she smiled "how about the one about demon possession?" her head tilted to the side obviously still concerned.

"Yes, I guess..." he said, "I'll move in with you, but... after the rib heals, shouldn't teleport when on medication, makes my head hurt."

He half broke the hug by keeping an arm over Kai's shoulders and said, "That sounds interesting. Hey, are we going in your car again?" he asked, as he noted his wound limited him more than he wanted to.

"yes, while you were gone i actually put more gas in it and have been driving legally" she laughed looking up at him "i'm sorry for seeming forceful.. but this is the only way i know how to react without killing your father" she caught herself in mid bite and smiled nervously.

When they walked out of the school she led him to her car, held open the passenger seat to him, when he slipped in she walked to the driver's seat "drive fast?" she giggled "or speed limit?"

"Ohh I see..." he mentioned, "Don't worry, as long as you don't hit, hurt, kill anyone, I'm fine." he smiled.

At the car, he looked at her and said, "Hmm, today I feel like a little over the speed limit" he then looked at his window, and paid attention to the tiny air particles that glimmered from the sunshine. "Wait, slow down... today we're going under the speed limit." If his reading was right, they would stumble upon disaster if they hurried. To change the topic, he asked, "So, hey, what are we going to do after watching the movie?"
