Zane smile a nervous smile when she told him she wasn't mad,"Alright, t-thank you." He ran a hand through his hair. When he noticed her giggle, he got a little curious,"Whats so funny?" He asked nervously, not sure if he wanted to know the answer or not. He took a quick glance around them to see if the admins had sent anyone else to check on her. He looked back a Cj,"We should probably head back to the admins to show them that your alright."

how could she just blurt out that she suspected he was gay? she couldnt! it was awkward! so, she instead lightly grabbed his hand and lead him back to where everyone else was, she wanted to watch him interact with other guys to really prove her theory "you know.. there's no reason to be this nervous.. right?" when she asked this she looked up at him with a small, sweet expression, hood still drawn so it cast a shadow over her face, hiding her eyes.

Zane's cheeks turned a bright red when she grabbed his hand and they got even brighter as she led him back to where all the students were. Thousands of thoughts rushed through his head as he saw some of the students looking at them,'Uh, this is awkward. I just met the girl and out of the blue she decides to take my hand? Even worse, we're in a high school. When two high school students walk away from a crowded place and come back holding hands, the other students only think they did one thing.' Zane was obviously freaking out and had no clue how to deal with it.

"you shouldnt care what they think" a small spark shot between them, sending a small current up his arm, she blushed from the embarrassment and quickly released his hand, there were students staring at them, giggling and whispering, this however was solved with a low growl and large electric bolt shooting up from the ground into their bodies, they all stopped and looked at Cj who was obviously angry, they stopped and continued with the tour of the school.

Zane gawked at the show of power Cj put on. He looked between her and the students she had zapped who were now walking away, but kept looking back every so often to see if Cj was going to do anything else,"W-what was t-that?" He was, once again, nervous. He wasn't even powerful enough to materialize something over twenty pounds, yet she was powerful enough to zap several students at once with ease.

Cj looked over at him, caught him staring and sighed "what? it wasnt me" she lied to comfort him, it was a pathetic and weak effort but it was something she hadnt been able do since middle school but, at least she tried "please stop staring at me like that" her voice was small yet soothing, while she walked her hips swayed under the jacket, right to left, left to right. hair blew in the slight breeze which swept past them.

The breeze didn't quite help Zane. When got very nervous, he got very thirsty, and the pendent didn't help with his thirst. The breeze blew her scent right into his face, going up and into his nostrils, he inhaled deeply. He wasn't yet given the blood tablets to carry around in case this happened. He covered up his nose and backed away from Cj,"Um, sorry, I have to go." He ran in the direction the admins had been last.

she blinked and, when he left several others ran after him, she turned and thrust her hands out in front of her body, sending shrieking shock wave at them, sending them all to the asses in no time at all, she grinned and immediately ran after him. She knew what he was from the moment he touched her hand, his cold skin being a dead give away. The admins would only give him blood tablets, something that the school hadnt yet perfected as were testing out on the students and she couldnt have that yet "Zane!" how did she know his name? duh they were wearing name tags!

Zane continued to run to the admins, despite the fact that Cj had called to him. He was much faster than her, she was in fact only human. He soon found an admin and told him what was happening. The admin nodded and quickly rushed Zane into an office, locking the door to it. He sat Zane down and handed him a blood packet to hold him over until they got his dosage for the blood tablets. He drank the packet in a matter of minutes and was told to stay seated until they got everything ready for him.

she failed to reach him before her asthma kicked in, she dropped to the ground gasping and wheezing, one of the other students recognized this and immediately rushed over to her, picking her into his arms and rushing off to the infirmary, where the nurse was not. The male cursed and waited watching her wheezing, he pulled out his own inhaler and placed the nozzle in her mouth, squeezed and let her inhale what she needed before calming down "it's not smart to follow a vampire" he laughed and shook his head, he was about two years older than her, which, was surprising since she was graduating age.

Zane was in the office for about twenty minutes before the admin came back in with a pill bottle filled with blood tablets. The admin instructed him to take only one when he started to feel the need to feed. Zane nodded as he took the pill bottle and put it in the side pocket on his pants. He left the office to go look for Cj, he wanted to make sure she was alright. He had calmed down from earlier and wasn't as nervous anymore, so when he all the human scents were inhaled as he took a deep breath to find Cj's he wasn't affected. When he found Cj's, he quickly set out to where she was and found her in the infirmary.

the Nurse had entered the room at the same time Zane did, when she saw him she rolled to her side, back facing him, she curled herself into a ball, her black torn jeans tearing further at the knee, she let out a small whimper before her asthmatic tendencies were known again, she gasped and looked up at where the male from earlier was, he was gone now, having left his inhaler for her. she gripped it and sat up straight puffing from it "you're.. a.. a v-" she gasped again "vampire a-arent you?" putting him on the spot wasnt her intention but, it was needed after what had just happened "were.. you born like this?"

Zane had expected the question, but when she asked it, he still opened his eye's in surprise. He leaned against the wall and hung his head, nodding while still looking at his feet,"Yeah, I'm a vampire, and yes, I was born this." It felt weird actually admitting that he was a vampire, he was usually being chased by people with guns and steaks right about now.

"you.. arent going to feed off of me are you?" she knew her blood was rare but, it was still scary knowing that she was making nice with a predator of humans. she arched her back in pain when she pulled off the jacket she revealed a cluster of bruises, this was the price of her power. Mysterious bruising, bleeding and punctures. She gasped again and gripped a silver pentacle with a moonstone in it's center, which, hung gingerly around her neck "you know.. i dont fear your kind" this was a bold face lie but, never let someone who can kill you, know that you fear them.

Zane let out a quivering sigh,"If I was going to feed on you, I wouldn't have ran away earlier. I'm sorry I scared you or worried you. If you feel uncomfortable with me around you, I can leave if you want." He hated it when people were scared of and tried to hide with false courage. He just plain hated it that people were scared of him.

she laughed and stood to her feet, the nurse caught her elbow when she began to fall, under the coat she was wearing a black t-shirt which read 'if open yourself to the world around you.. you'll see me', she cringed then smiled even more looking up at him "look, i wanna be your friend.. you're cool" she knew he wasnt gay at this point considering the way he blushed when she gripped his hand "if you're straight.. why pink hair?" this question was absurdly random, but, it had to be asked!

Zane smiled at the question. He looked back up at Cj and twirled a strand of his hair between two fingers,"I don't know. I was born with it and never wanted to change the color." He got off the wall and kept twirling his hair,"Thank you for not wanting me to go just because of what I am. That really means a lot to me."

she smiled warmly and nodded "why would i shun you for what you are?" when she approached him she nudged him though, when he didnt move she fell over instead, back against the ground, skull rebounding. she immediately gripped where bone met linoleum, she winced and curled further into a ball. This was her, Charlotte, the klutz. she lay there, trying not to seem weak and at the same moment, blood was seeping from between her fingers, she squirmed away from him trying to keep the smell from him.

the nurse however had seen the liquid pouring from her head and immediately rushed over to her, picking her up and setting her, stomach first on one of the several beds "we're going to have to get you a helmet arent we?" she joked, char wasnt amused.

Zane had covered his nose and mouth when Cj began to fall, he knew she was going to bleed once she hit the ground. He stood near the wall, opposite of the bed she was laying on. If she kept injuring herself like this, he would have to avoid her for her own safety,"You know, if you keep bleeding like that, I won't be able to be around you." It was meant as a comical statement, but it came out as a sort of warning.

once a needle was brought out to numb the wound the glass syringe shattered, glass falling to the floor, liquid wetting the linoleum, she looked over at him in horror, she immediately pulled her hood over her head, jumped off of the bed and ran out of the room. she wanted to avoid possibly harming him, while she ran, she zipped her coat up tears rushing down her face. The last time something like this happened.. her last foster parents locked her in the trunk of a car for hours on end.

After fifteen minutes of running she found herself in the courtyard, breathing heavily, crying softly, she shook her head from side to side "what's wrong with me!?" she looked back at where zane was, and, thought it may be better if she avoided him.. but why? all she had to do was be careful he's a monster! her conscious argued with her, she shook her head in an attempt to dismiss such thoughts.

Zane watched as Cj ran out of the room and down the hall's,"Damn it." He knew he shouldn't have, but he followed her to see what he had done wrong, of course he wasn't going without a present. This is where his powers came in, he hoped she like blue roses. When he found her he quickly ran over to her,"Cj, what's wrong? I didn't mean to say it like that. Here these are for you." He handed her about six blue roses, no thorns.

"the syringe broke.. i.." she looked up at him, blood was filling her hood thought he wound wasnt open any longer, the smell of burnt flesh had surrounded the area they were in, she accepted the roses and pulled the hood up over her face to hide her now vibrantly blushing cheeks "you.. didnt do anything wrong.. i.. the.. you dont think i'm a freak?" she was human yes but she had more power than he had, to an extent. She knew he could lap her easily but in the same sense she could split the earth under him if she really wanted to, but, instead, the earth below just rumbled, quaking, rocking from side to side but almost unnoticeable while she winced waiting for him to scream in terror of her. It happened before. Although she was well liked.. people still feared her.

Zane just smiled when she accepted the roses. He ignored the shaking earth and walked up to her, pulling down her hood. He materialized a bandage roll and something to soak up the blood, as well as wrap the bandage roll around. He wrapped up Cj's head and let our quick laugh at the way she looked with the white bandaging wrapped around her head,"There, that should do it."

she winced, the tender pink flesh tugging when he wrapped the gauze around her head, she shivered then smiled shyly when he stopped she didnt move though when he had pulled her hood down she blushed more eyes closed and lip curling into her mouth, her eyes pinched shut, waiting for a smack to the face or something, when nothing happened she opened her right eye and looked directly up at him "h..how o-old are you.. really?" her other eye slowly opened, she pulled her hood back up, though when she did the earth stopped moving, and rain poured from the now open clouds, since it was autumn the rain was cold, harshly so. This helped the cloth purge itself of what blood it had soaked up, she pulled the roses in her coat to protect them from the rain, she knew how to keep them in bloom the entirety of her life if she truly wished it to be so "you.. dont think of me as a f-freak?.."

although when he started he would have realized that the wound was no longer existent, that the flesh had burned itself together to keep more blood in her than in her hood.

Zane didn't mind the rain, it actually felt good on his cold skin. He looked up at the sky, a few drops landing in his eye's, then back down to Cj,"Um." He had to think for a couple of minutes to remember how old he really was,"I think I'm about two hundred sixty, give or take a few years." He laughed at the thought of how he didn't even remember his own age,"No, I don't think of you as a freak, to me, your as normal as normal can get."
