Zane leaned up and laid Cj down on the bed. He believed everything she said, he was just unusually hungry and needed a blood packet. He wanted to bite into her and drink her blood, but he didn't want to risk making her condition worse. As he turned to face the door to go and find a blood packet, something hard and solid connected with his nose and sent him flying over Cj's bed and into the wall next to her bed. When he hit the ground he tried to get up, but his hand slipped on the pool of blood under him that came out from his nose. He felt pressure on his back and couldn't get up or even move.

The ground below the hunters began to tremble, static electricity pulsing around them. Cj barely stood to her feet, walking over to Zane she kissed his forehead and pushed a rag to his nose "stay low" she muttered and turned back to them "Fellas" she choked "Leave the school grounds immediately, you are able to be punished by law for this" although she knew they wouldnt listen, she could at least warn them. When a large crack of thunder shot through the surroundings she lunged forward, ready to bite and tear if she made contact with the hunter's throat.

Zane tried to grab Cj before she ran to attack the hunter's,"Cj, wait!" As she ran at the group of hunters, one of them ran at her and ran through her, grabbed her shoulder's from behind and slammed her into the ground. Zane slowly stood up and looked at the hunter that had Cj pinned to the ground. That particular hunter was the most dangerous of them all when he got mad,"Shade." He growled as he spoke the hunter's name. The hunter group was a group of twenty-three humans with special abilities, but there were only five hunter's there at the moment, and Shade was the leader of the smaller group.

She screamed when a loud crack resounded from her back, when this happened another bolt of electricity shot from her, this time it would pin the intended target. She yowled and writhed in pain crying under the male "let go!" she growled struggling against him, when nothing came of her struggles another bolt shot up at him, this time carrying through his arms and resting in his chest. It would feel like flames rolling under his skin, she weakly reached for her pocket knife, found it missing and cried again. Her world was slipping away, fading into an onyx abyss "Zane..?" she shivered attempting to keep herself from passing out from the pain.

Zane, on instinct, attacked Shade. Without realizing what he had done, Zane flew through Shade and over Cj and skidded to a stop in front of the other four hunter's. Shade, on the other hand, had sunk into the floor and released Cj to try and get himself out. Zane rolled over and looked at the four other hunters, helplessly. The biggest one there, who Zane assumed was new since he didn't know him, easily picked Zane up by his throat and slammed him into the wall next to them. He yelped at the sudden pain that shot through his back. He tried to pull the new hunter's hand away from his throat, but couldn't move it an inch. The edges of his vision were started to darken, he was loosing air, and as long as he wore the pendant that wasn't a good thing. He would take off the pendant, but the hand kept it against him.

Cj's back healed with incredulous speed when she rushed off to aid her lover, she quickly growled, and yanked the pendant free from his neck, it fell to the floor with a small thud. Just when that happened one of the last hunter's came up behind her rendering Cj unconscious with one blow to the temple. She had lost her pendant during the fall but, this to anyone, was still a possibly lethal move. She fell to the ground in a large heap next to the man, who, was laughing at her.

Several administrators had the situation under control in just minutes, some using telepathic abilities to hold them all in place, others, brute strength.

Constantine, a behemoth looking man, held out two hands, one holding power over the hunter with zane in his grip, the other, holding the one who'd assaulted Cj, when he moved his hands outward, they each flew in opposite directions, crashing into the walls, the man was forced to leave go of Zane "Grab her and get her out of here" he demanded in a thick irish accent.

Zane dropped to the ground and landed on his knee's, with one hand in front of him keeping him from falling to the ground and ending up flat on his stomach. He rubbed his throat and coughed violently as he tried to breath again. He nodded to the man's command, he could tell just by looking at him that he wouldn't live if he refused. He picked up Cj, laying her in his arms and walked out of the room and started for his dorm. He kept looking over his shoulder, just in case any more hunter's were there. He knew they weren't stupid enough to attack him out of the blue like that, they definitely had a plan and this was just the beginning of it.

Constantine let out a long and loud growl of fury when the hunters each got up, dark dragon wings erupted, anchored on his back. He grinned, bright eyes piercing the shadows cast over his face from the hood, he watched the two leave then sighed when another hunter emerged from the shadows, he pinned that one to the nearest wall, restraining it with just a simple glare "Shade, get your slimy ass out here" he roared. This was enough to wake Cj from a dead sleep, she shrieked and thrashed about until finally she realized where she was and who was holding her, with a sore back she whimpered leaning into Zane just a tad more "Are you alright?" her voice trembled with worry "You bled ... a-alot" he would need to feed on her and she knew it.

Zane kept walking, holding Cj to his chest, and worrying about what would happen to the man who helped them if the rest of the hunter's were there. If the leader of the hunter's were there, there was no way that they would survive. Zane had only seen the leader of the hunter's once and it wasn't a pleasant meeting. He cringed at the thought as he carried Cj outside and towards his dorm. He looked down at Cj when she spoke,"I'm fine, don't worry." He spoke in a flat tone as he continued to think about what would happen to them if the leader shows up.

Cj shivered from his tone and jumped down once they reached the dorm, her head hung low, she refused to look at him "did i.. i do something wrong?" her voice went from caring and loving to small and insignificant "I.. I'm sorry.." she muttered unable to look at him, she opened the door, stepped inside and waited for him "Zane.. what's going on? why did they attack you?" she suddenly asked, eyes locks on his and tears streaming down her face.

His heart ached when Cj started to cry and he embraced her in a light hug. He leaned back enough to tilt Cj's head up and wipe away her tears. He leaned his head down and kissed her lovingly. When he pulled back, he spoke in a more gentle tone,"None of this is your fault. Let's just... get inside and relax while I explain why they attacked me, alright?" He led her further into the dorm and shut the door behind him. He quickly laid her down on the couch and pulled a chair up in front of her,"I'll start from the beginning." He slowly started to explain the story of how he was a wanted man in Europe and who the hunter's were.

while he explained her eyes grew wide "i... i...w-why... i.. b.." she didnt know what to say or do, so, she rolled to her side and cried. hands over her face, body curled into a ball, she was so afraid of losing him "Zane.. t..they're going to kill you...a-arent they?" when she said this her heart sank, body trembled and stomach churned.

Zane curled up next to Cj, most of him was hanging of the couch and he was very uncomfortable, but he didn't care. He held Cj in his arms and rubbed her back, soothingly, in an attempt to calm her down. He moved her hands away from her face and kissed her lightly on the lips,"Don't worry. They won't kill me." He knew they wouldn't kill him, he was worth triple the amount alive. The most they would do is torture him to the brink of death. Of course, Zane wouldn't tell Cj this, she was already scared enough.

"No! They'll just try and kill you instead" she shrieked kissing him back and cuddling further into his arms, whens he did they both toppled to the floor but she couldnt very well tell him that she knew these sorts of torture methods from having been a bounty once herself, she shivered from the pain of feeling as though she were going to lose him, body aching, mind spinning, she was sick, not physically but mentally "Please.. we have to get away.. w-we.. we have to keep them from finding you again.." she was frantic.

Zane kissed her again, but this time it was so passionately that it would make her thought's blur. He had one hand cupping her cheek and the other wiping off the remaining tears on her cheek. Zane knew he could take on most of the hunter's by himself. He's even beaten Shade a few times, but it wasn't an easy task. The only two hunter's he has never been able to beat were Riley, the second in command, and Vance, the leader of the hunter's.

she kissed him back, the edges of her mind bleeding into one large blur, her smaller body pressed into his, arms wrapping around his sides. While they lay, one next to the other, she let out a small sigh of relief, the tears no longer pushed down her face, she no longer felt the urge to kill anyone, all she wanted was to never leave Zane and for him to never leave her.

She pulled away from him shyly at first then looked into his eyes, hers glazed with a sort of desire, one that burned in her from the inside out. Cj needed to be held, she needed to feel his skin against hers, it was that sort of insecure love only teenagers felt "Zane?.. what's going to happen to you?" This question thundered down on her like a ton of bricks, she winced then looked away "nevermind" she mumbled, almost inaudibly.

Zane shook his head,"Don't worry about me. I'll be fine, alright? I'm more worried about you right now. The hunter's now know that I... love you. They now have a new angle to work at to get to me." As he spoke, he realized he couldn't smell Cj's scent. He leaned back and reached under his couch, then pulled out a small wooden box. When he opened it, there was a pendant. It was the pendant that all the vampires were given. Each dorm had a spare under the couch and Zane couldn't quite figure out why they put it under the couch. He took it out of the box and slipped it around Cj's neck and her scent flooded his nostrils and he took in a long, enjoyable whiff of it. He adjusted his body so he smell her neck, smell the blood rushing through her veins.

she shuddered from the closeness they shared, from the thought of losing him "I.. dont want to attend classes.. i cant leave you" she wasnt conscious enough at the time to know that their schedules were now exactly the same "Bite me.. zane please" she knew how much blood he had lost from his dead body, she rolled to her back with him barely leaning over her, head tilted in the opposite direction, veins throbbing under her skin "please.. you need it, i want it" she whispered "bite me" it was more of a plea now, he needed it, she saw the stimulation in his eyes, from the sudden urge to feed on her

He leaned down, just above Cj's neck and whispered to himself,"Damned curse." Just as he finished talking he bit into her skin, sinking his fangs into her neck and letting the blood flow out and over his teeth and into his mouth. He closed his eye's as he drank her blood, but this time instead of trying to let go of her, he allowed himself to enjoy the taste of her blood. This time, he would try to savior the taste and last longer.

she let out a small breath, eyes closing and mouth barely slacking open, she pushed herself to him as well as she could, feeling her cold body heating up with his. Even though her blood was flowing from two puncture holes in her neck, it did not hurt, it was only like a small pinch. Cj's hands gripped his shoulders, not scared as before, but confident, the sort of confidence that helped her realize he wouldnt harm her or drain her completely.

Right about the time he'd usually let go, she looked up at the ceiling realizing there was an insignificant shift taking place. Her body was growing hotter, and hotter until finally she panicked "Zane!" she shrieked "w-what's going on?!" with bright red cheeks she squirmed under him, something wasnt right! her body was finally reacting to him, to the depth of their passion.

While he savored the flavor of her blood, constantine was back at the school, dealing with the hunters, attempting to keep them from coming after Zane or even Cj, but he knew that they would eventually go after the young girl. They would also probably go so far as to kidnap and torture her until they got what they wanted.

When Zane opened his eye's, they were black and red for a few seconds, than suddenly flashed back to their light blue color. When he realized how long he had been drinking Cj's blood, he forced himself to let go. When he did, his body shot straight up and he took in long gasps of air. Just like a drug, whenever you have too much it tends to have it's own affects. Zane wavered, then finally collapsed. He fell off the couch and landed with a loud 'thud' on the tiled floor.

"Zane!" she shrieked quickly running over to him, she tore the pendant off of her neck, quickly healed then replaced it "zane please dont leave me!" she whispered attempting to pull him up onto the couch, but to no avail, he wouldnt budge "please!" she cried, normal, human tears rushing down her face and soaking into her black lace shirt "please.." she whimpered "dont leave me.." she kissed his lips, lightly tapped his cheek with her palm then whimpered, further pain coming of his unconscious state "h-he.. i.. please zane.. only if i hadnt had you drink my blood everything would be fine.." she mumbled

Without realizing it, before he was even fully conscience he held Cj's palm to his cheek, then brought it over to his mouth and nibbled on her fingertips. When he opened his eye's and realized what he was doing, he pulled her hand away slightly and gave her a warm smile. He sat up and rubbed the side of his head, where he had hit the hard tile,"Ow. What happened? I remember biting into you... than nothing."

"oh thank god!" she cried draping her arms over him pulling their bodies together "you.. thank you.. you passed out" she cried sobbing against her lover, tears rolling down her face and to his shirt "you.. you passed out.. i-i think you drank too much" her words were shaky, as was her entire body "i..w-w.." she was babbling incoherently at this point, her fingertips were tingling from his nibbling on them, he hadnt drawn any blood but he did however express a deep level of passion for her with doing this "dont scare me like that again!" she exclaimed, not letting go of him.

Zane held Cj close to him. He moved her hair out of the way and looked down at the spot he had bitten her. The two punctures were healed, but they were still there,"I-I'm sorry. Did I hurt you?" He leaned down and kissed the puncture wounds.

There was something different about Zane now. He felt as good as he did two hundred years ago. His full strength had finally returned, was he even stronger now? He didn't know what to make of it.
