Ed hadn't noticed she fell asleep until the teacher slapped her flute on the desk yelling, "Enda Rose, wake up and start practicing!" Picking up her wooden hollow thing, or a "Flute" as the teacher would put it, Ed put it to her lips and blew, making an unpleasant sound for the rest of the class. The annoyed teacher looked at her sternly, "Enda Rose--" She started, but Ed butted in. "Excuse me, my name is Ed."

Ci and Faye were having some trill paper time, Raylen noticed, barley holding her instrument. She had played a couple notes to make the teacher happy, but she didn't continue after that. The teacher kept going on and on with music notes, as if they didn't even know what they were.

She was looking at the clock to see when class got out and then she looked at the board again. She was not learning math she was learning music. Then she studied the board and started to write down new notes. Then she thought 'This is the most boring class ever.' She started to tap her pen on her notebook. Then she fell asleep. She woke up a few minutes later and found drool on her notebook. The teacher was handing out music sheet. 'Oh no not singing.' She hated to sing because everyone would notice her. It was not like she was bad or anything, she just hated it when lots of people noticed her. Then the teacher called her to the front of the class to sing. She did not want to but she had to. "I love you baby like never before. I love you so much i would kiss the floor. I love you baby you know i do. I love you babyyyyy. I love you sooooo much that i could not touch anyone else in the world. Without you around." Everyone clapped and yelled. She did not do anything but ran back to her seat.

Ed could have gotten down on her knees and thanked the lord for her fortune that the bell rang. Before the teacher could react to Ed's comment (she probably throw the desk), Ed was already out the door. She had picked up her books, slid out of her desk, and ran out the door before even the class could flitch at the sound of the bell, or maybe it was because they couldn't believe she had talked back to a teacher. Oh lord, Ed thought, tomorrow she's gonna kill me.

The floor of the classroom erupted in flowers a couple of minutes before the bell rang, and Raylen was surprised she didn't notice until she started packing up. That's odd. She thought, looking strangely at the flowers.

Faye kept her hand out until the dandelions were as tall as the desks, than started to make them dance and sway to invisible wind. She winked at Ci, than sat back, her work done. She'd leave it to the teacher to figure out how to get rid of the grass that was rooted right into the floorboards. Well, ok. Maybe she would help get it out. But only when no on else was looking or there. Faye leaned forward, already bored, and rested an elbow on the desk and leaned her cheek against the arm. The teacher continued to drone on about music notes. What's with that teacher? Doesn't he/she notice anything?? One of he best parts about playing a prank was seeing the teacher's face and reaction, but he/she was acting as though nothing had even happened. Faye was sorely tempted to get a wad of dirt and throw it at the board behind the teacher to see if he/she would notice anything, but she wasn't ready to get in trouble. Yet.

THANKFULLY the bell rang and Faye went to her next class, math, though she highly doubted that it would be any more interesting than music, if not worse. She wondered how much trouble she'd get in for skipping class, but than decided against it. She went into the math class and took the farthest seat away to the teacher, conveniently situated next a wide window that gave a great view of the surround forest. Faye yawned and rested her head down on the desk and fell into a light sleep.

Ci stumbled out of the grassy room and passed the odd teacher that didn't seem to realize that the bell had rung, and scampered down the hall to his next class. Peering into the Math room he moved toward the back corner again.

Taking his seat he looked out the window. In front of him Faye had fallen to sleep and he wondered if it was really okay to do that. HE felt quite sleepy himself...'No!' he thought to himself. That's right...He wasn't taking any chances. He'd never forgive himself if he got expelled and had to go back to the East so soon.

Math. The words spelled in back of Ed's head. But in her mind, it was spelled 'D-E-A-T-H', she could never tell the difference between the two. All her life she had failed math in all her classes, and regularly skipped the class. But she wouldn't do that on the first day of course. Sitting in a seat slightly in the back of the classroom, she started shredding little pieces of paper with her long fingernails.

Raylen, unlike all the rest of her classmates, enjoyed math with a passion. She was highly skilled at it, and it was her favorite subject out of all the rest. The seats in the back were almost all taken up by people who didn't want to be there, so Raylen took a seat near the front. Pulling out her white and blue notebook, she began writing down the definitions of the words on the board, for she already knew what they meant.

Ci uncertainly wrote down the problems on the board and followed along with the teacher's explanations.

He wasn't terrible at math, but it wasn't his favorite subject...

mika took a seat near Faye just in time for the bell

Effy took her seat next to another vampire for math. 'Oh joy,' she thought to herself. She then listened to what the teacher was saying and she was bored out of her mind. She finally knew what subject she was in.. math. She hated it because she new everything there is to know about it. She hated listening to things she already new. So she used her powers to write her notes for her. So she did not have to do it herself.

Raylen looked over at the people in back of her, she seemed to be having a...ok time in math. She never understood people who never liked math, how could you not? Without it, where would society be? She left these thoughts behind as she gazed at the clock. woah, it's 30 mintues till lunch, she thought, staring in disbelief at the clock. She was sure it felt like class had just started...

Effy looked at the clock 20 minutes till class.'Yes no more class.' She almost started dancing in her seat but she stopped her self just in time. She thought that the person next to her was trying to talk to her. She did not care. She never cared for vampires.

Ci fidgeted with his pencil. He felt so sleepy all of a sudden...Too much interaction already? His father had once taken him to the village healer when he was young because he always got stressed out when talking to people. After the healer had given him a few tests, she informed them that Ci was merely an introvert.

In the Eastern Nymph villages, there really was no such thing as an introvert. Their entire cultural revolved around interaction and word of mouth, he would undoubtedly be a waste of resources in the future. And everyone knew it too...

The clock showed that class was nearing it's end and Ci was relieved, he couldn't remember what class was next though...

Ci was happy for the bell and followed the other students to the cafeteria. 'Lunch then,' he thought uninterestedly. He wasn't sure if he was allowed to leave though...Would they take attendance here too? He was so confused...He decided to risk being marked absent as the room filled with more and more people, making it a bit stuffy and the noise levels grew.

He turned and left, planning on going to sit outside somewhere he would be able to hear the bell that would signal the end of lunch.

Ed filed into the lunch room with everyone else, quickly taking whatever source of food she could find and taking the nearest table. She wasn't too hungry, for she had lost all her appetite in music class.

Raylen had made her own lunch, for she never cared much for chatting while eating. She brought her bag filled with assorted veggies and fruits outside. Walking all the way to the endless meadow, she set her food down and began to pick up Alice in Wonderland to read. She was pretty far, and the book got a bit more creepy.

Effy ran to catch up with Raylen for lunch. Her food was really good and she loved it. She talked to all of her friends after Raylen left to read her book. She was happy at this new school and was excited for the next class. Her two least favorite subjects were gone so she had only good things to look forward to.

Ci rubbed his ears and sat zoning out on the steps. He longed to go explore but was afraid he'd end up late to class, get in trouble, be expelled, sent back home, and be made fun of again. He'd be miserable for the rest of his life and he couldn't let that happen.

Hugging his knees he watched the birds fly from tree to tree and thought of his village.

The lived on a swamp-like lake with many trees, vines, and cliffs. Their homes were built like beaver dams though some made rafts and tied them to one place as a foundation and built up. Ci's family was one of those few. Everyone used the piles and piles of rocks and boulders had been placed as walkways between homes and shops to get from one place to another though one had to swim to get to the land or if they had somewhere they liked to go all their own.

There always ran the great risk of a bad storm knocking their homes around and in the past there had been numerous floodings, but those Nymphs of the East were stubborn and liked their water too much to move.

And that's why he was such a suprise. Only once had his mother left the village before he was born and that was to a place of golden eyes--just like his own. It was not in his village's genes to have these eyes and that could only mean his mother cheated on his father.

Mison West was, obviously from on of the Western water villages. His kinda had the same eyes as The Eastern one. When Ci had been born, many expected the nymph to reject the child, but he hadn't Instead he had raised Ci like his own. He was the one person Ci would ever miss from that place...

Ed had finished her lunch, and was roaming the grounds. Stopping, she noticed the weak nymph from earlier that morning. He seems totally in space... she thought. Then, her normal side took control. Heh. She thought, and she snuck her way behind him. He was totally unaware of her being there, so she took to opportunity to scare him. "Boo." She said, quite calmly for that matter, right in his ear.

Ci shivered as the voice right next to his ear pulled him out of his thoughts. He let out a high pitch yelp and leapt from the steps and fell on his bum on the ground. He stared with wide eyes at the nymph from earlier who stood at the top of the steps with a sly look on her face.

He was too stunned to tell whether the glint in her eye was malevolent or benign...

mika walked to the forest and sat in a tree.she didn't feel like eating now.she took out a book and began to read.

His reaction was much better then Ed had hoped. Her smile formed into a malevolent grin, such as the villain would do in a horror movie. Then, standing up strait she put on a pouty face, "Did I scare you?" She asked in a baby tone.

Ci flinched at her tone and nearly started to tear up but he bit his lip hard to stop his eyes from watering. He stared hard at the round and tried desperately to compose himself. It was to no avail as his shoulders began to shake. Head still lowered he got up and hurried passed the other nymph toward the building.

With a low hollow voice he replied, "No."

And he pushed the doors open.

Ed made a smile as the nymph passed by her, feeling conquest in her doing. But then something made a slight 'pang' feeling inside her. Ugh, stupid guilt, she thought, and walked inside toward the library.

Raylen had just finished her book, and was heading back toward the main school building. On her way there she noticed two others who didn't seem to be getting along very well. The tall girl she knew from the hallways, but she never remembered seeing the boy. They were nymphs, that was easy enough to tell. When they both went inside, she quietly entered the building.

Ci walked to his next class, planning on waiting inside until class would start again only to find the door locked. Looking around he saw that the floor was very dirty, and he really didn't want to get his clothes dirty as Mison had given them to him specifically for the first day at the Academy. He was forced to seek shelter elsewhere.

On the way to the library-he hoped he was going in the right direction- he thought about the other nymph and unconsciously tightened his grip on his bag. Why was she being so mean to him? Was Mison the only nymph who would ever be nice to him?

He stormed off toward the library.

As Raylen walked down the hallway, a nymph passed by her. Obviously not is a great mood, she noted. "Hey, where are you going?" She asked, fearing he'd actually answer.
