The hours rolled on. Sungbae continued to type her story with frustration. She was coming up with nothing and doing a fine job doing it. Today the backspace key was her best friend. A scowl formed on her lips as she folded her arms and flopped back in her chair. "I give up!" she shouted at her computer as if the object had anything to do with the words flowing from her fingertips. Her forehead wrinkled in frustration as she racked her brain desperately for some sort of idea.
Giving up on writing for the moment, Sungbae decided to watch her surroundings. She hoped maybe the people around her might inspire a good story. No one was doing anything of great importance, though. This did nothing to better the fowl mood that Sungbae was beginning to develop. Her only wish was for someone to come over and bug her. She needed to take her frustration out on someone, and they might leak some creativity on her. However, it seemed no one in the restaurant was interested in her. Great! she thought The one time I want to be bothered.
At that moment a whirring sound came from her laptop. Then there was a blank screen. Sungbae swore in anger. It seemed her charger needed to be replaced. This was just the icing on the cake of her wonderful day. Her hand reached under the table and yanked the plug from the wall. The charger was excruciatingly hot, and when Sungbae touched the power source her hand felt as if it had touched the bottom rack of an oven. Again she swore, this time louder.
There was a click as Sungbae closed the laptop. A huff of hot breath escaped her breast as she assessed her options. She could go home and pout, she could go out and buy a new charger, or she could sit here and pout. Her rage did not make standing easy, so she decided to stay put. Maybe she could get the waitress attention. She needed more coffee anyway, and she getting a bit hungry. A pastry might lighten her mood. It would lighten her wallet, that was for sure.

People were slowly starting to fill the cafe, and what's worse is that they were all the regulars she saw every day, who she'd see every day after this one as well. If her wardrobe malfunction had occurred amidst strangers, that would be completely fine; she'd never see strangers again and besides, bras covered more than most bathing suits. But something about these people being a daily part of her life caused her cheeks to get redder and redder with every person that came inside the cafe. Mihi gave another timid smile to Soyeon and tentatively stepped out of the way of the front counter in case the other girl wanted to have a better look at the menu. Then a guy was approaching her, offering to let her borrow his shirt? She smiled more genuinely then. "Guess chivalry isn't dead after all."
Mihi was about to tell him she would probably take him up on the offer when yet another person offered her some help. She looked down at the cardigan and then her eyes glanced to Daehyun, then back and forth again. Oh, now it was time for an inner debate. She'd already asked Hyunsu for a towel and safety pins, and she did't want to look flighty and indecisive by accepting either of the garments offered to her. Plus if he got them she'd feel bad for making him go out of his way when she'd already chosen to do render his efforts useless... But then again she didn't want to make these two's acts of kindness seem worthless either.
Mihi jumped about a foot into the air when Hyunsu suddenly vaulted over the counter and asked her where it went. "Ah... what?" she asked with eyes widened from surprise, blinking slowly in confusion. Then he went on to elaborate. Oh. Goblins. Right... "normal" Hyunsu stuff. "O-oh, I guess I was s-s-so surprised that I didn't n-notice it, Hyunsu-ssi..." Mihi stumbled over her words, partly because of the embarrassment at still being in desperate need of safety pins and partly because she was trying not to giggle at Hyunsu's eccentric behavior. "Seriously, I must have a very interesting taste in men..." His smile was contagious to her and she smiled back appreciatively, her self esteem more restored by his compliment. "Gomapseumnida, Hyunsu-sii~*" The girl with the cardigan had walked away, so Mihi assumed that meant her earlier offer was closed. Chunho quickly procured the safety pins, to which she gave a soft "thanks" and proceeded to pin onto her dress, keeping it in place, covering her bra like it should be. And she could have something for free! So she caught the attention of the nearest waiter and asked for her usual; a pumpkin spice latte with a lemon poppyseed mini bundt cake. All was suddenly right with the world.
Mihi followed Daehyun over to where he was sitting, piping up with a cheerful, "Hi!" She sat down in a chair and continued, "That was really nice of you to offer up your shirt to me, just to let you know. So thanks." Mihi paused to set her things down next to her and then gave him a friendly smile. "I'm Mihi, by the way."
[*Gomapseumnida = Thank you]

-----Haejung liked to tease the staff, that much was apparent, but she tried not to go out of her way to tease people she'd just met. Especially since, even though her gay-dar was screaming so loud she swore someone else must be hearing it, Sangmin was pretty cute. She did hope he wasn't actually gay. It was so tempting now to be laughing at Sangmin, though. Was he always so indecisive? Through her fighting, she couldn't help but burst out laughing as the waiter walked off. She was about to ask him about his indecisiveness when he spun the game around.
-----"The song? It's Cinderella by Seo In Yeong. I have my music on shuffle, actually." Haejung was about to ask him what kind of music he was into. It was a common topic for her working at Play. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on the perspective) Taehyun intruded at that moment.
-----Now, a very curious thing happened to Haejung as soon as she caught sight of Taehyun. It was as if any semblance of intelligence had fled in fear of her brain. Why fear? Well it could be because Haejung's mind was revisiting the fantasy she had from earlier. Something to do with oral battery; I mean assault. Seriously, god; are you listening? Her coherency was not helped by the fact that her heart was beating so loud her gay-day was telling it to shut up, and she was fighting hard to remember how to breathe. Honestly, something in that boys eyes (or maybe it was his smile) had her in euphoria. It actually took her a second to realize she had been asked a question.
-----"N-n-no. N-not at a-all. G-go right ahead," she managed to stammer out. At this point, her brain watching from afar could take it no longer and had to come to her rescue. 'GET A GRIP GIRL!' She yelled at herself. 'He's just like all the other guys you mess with at play; he's just cuter... So much cuter.'
-----Haejung stopped her mental battery when Taehyun spoke again. Ok. She needed to respond and she needed to do so without making a fool of herself. Wait. Was that even possible? No, wait.. He just called her beautiful. Beautiful! 'Ah, Haejung! Focus.' Back to the matter at hand.
-----"D-don't worry about it," she managed to say. "It's just water." Hey, she's getting better at this. Of course, she probably still looked like an idiot with her lips quivering at every syllable, but atleast it was progress!

Sangmin was about to respond to Haejung. He was curious what else she had on shuffle, but he didn't get the chance. He was interrupted by Taehyun.
Taehyun- the Lady Killer. His mouth twisted into a moue of distaste. He couldn't help it. His modelling friends had told stories of him. Sure, he was a 'nice guy'- at first. At first- before he broke their heart, using them and dumping them. Sometimes, he didn't even stay until they woke up. "If it isn't our local Don Juan. You're lucky there are no ghosts here to lure you to the graveyard. Or do you prefer Casanova?" Sangmin said, referencing the legend of Don Juan. His father had done an adaption of the the legend in a drama several years back. Sangmin had even been in it as a champion for one of Don Juan's many conquests.
Now, Sangmin didn't really know if Taehyun was that bad. But his friend Min Jee had certainly made him seem that way. Min Jee- sweet innocent Min Jee. She had a lovely figure, bright personality, lovely hair- though short. Her eyes were kind. Sangmin had swooned over her for some time. But she had only had eyes for Taehyun- even after he broke her heart. She was a model- though not for any of the big companies, she had gotten a job doing a series of shampoo ads. That was how Sangmin had met her.
They had been friends for a while, until she had broken his heart.
Sangmin sighed, letting the memories of beautiful Min Jee fall back into the recesses of his mind. He hadn't grown bored of her. He never had the chance. Sangmin looked over to Haejung who seemed to be having trouble speaking. But she had already given him permission to speak and it would be rude of him to now deny it. He didn't want her to be the next Min Jee- the next conquest.
She was cute, had good fashion, seemed bright and cheery and to top it off, she had good taste in music. Excellent girlfriend potential.
Sangmin looked at Taehyun, trying to not look put off by his presence. (Probably failing miserably at it too.)
Luckily, it was just about then that the first part of their order arrived: the drinks. He looked at Haejung's order. Boba- he preferred those in the afternoon himself. But they were always good. Sangmin's distaste of Taehyun vanished as he sipped his Cafe Au Lait.
Perfect. The milk wasn't burned, the coffee perfect.
He sighed.
Now all he needed was his Mandoo Guk, salad and tart of the day to make his life complete.

The waitress strolled down the rows of seats. She set a small plate on Sungbae's table. The novelist looked disgusted at the tart that sat in front of her. It was definitely not the apple gallete she had ordered. She looked up at the waitress. "What is this? I didn't order this?"she complained. Sungbae pushed handed the tiny plate back to the waitress. A sullen look came over the waitress. "What do you mean? You ordered the tart, right? Well, this is it," she said with finality. Sungbae shook her head as the waitress tried to push the unwanted pastry at her. "I wanted the apple gallete. This is not it,"she told the worker girl.
Sungbae was all ready angry from the crash of her laptop. This was not a good time for the waitress to get her order wrong. She had been a faithful customer since she had moved into this city. Today of all days she merely wished for things to go right. She glared slightly as the waitress refused to realize her mistake. "It's not what I wanted. Just take it back and bring me what I ordered,"Sungbae told the girl with a hardened tone.
When the waitress insisted once again that Sungbae was mistaken, the writer stood up and began to walk to the front counter. She was not in the mood to be harassed by a teen. Her temper was rising, and bursting into long winded rants would do her no good here. Instead Sungbae decided to have a word with someone else. The waitress followed her down the rows of other customers.
An enraged flame lit in Sungbae's eyes when the waitress spotted the customer whom the tart was meant for. Sungbae glared at the girl until she walked away. A large huff hot breath released itself from Sungbae's chest. Sangmin had gotten his pastry, and Sungbae was still standing next to his table without hers. She was unsure whether she should go back to her seat or wait here. Battling this internal conflict, Sungbae stood still.

After a few more moments, Sangmin's food arrived. He looked at his pastry and frowned. "This is not a tart- this is the apple gallete." He looked at the person who brought him his food, but that person had mysteriously vanished as soon as setting it in front of him. Had he missed it? He looked around the cafe, trying to determine who could fix his order. He hated when they got his order wrong. Sure, it took him a while to decide on his order and he didn't really care about it, but once he was expecting something, he was expecting it.
His annoyance at Taehyun vanished- replaced by his annoyance at getting the wrong order. "I'm sorry, I've got to get this fixed," he said, standing. He picked up the plate of gallette, leaving the rest of his food at the table. His focus was on his tart now. He wanted it fixed before his Mandoo Guk got cold. An Apple gallete with the apple and Gorgonzola salad was just too much apple for his taste. He wanted something different. He got about three steps when he realized that the girl- what was her name again? Oh, the laptop- it clicked- An Sungbae- the author.
The author An Sungbae. The realization struck him. The same realization that he had every time he saw her here. He almost faltered, but he was used to seeing her around. He'd never admit it, but she wrote some of his favorite books. He even wrote her some fan letters- though under a pseudonym. Especially after he found out that she came to the same cafe. Sure, the people in her books were ideals, but romance was an ideal. His ideal. He had even tried to talk to his father into turning one of her books into a serial drama.
He walked over to her and smiled. "Seems you've got my tart there," he widened his smile, at ease with being around her. He had been around more famous people.

Sungbae frowned at Sangmin and handed him his pastry in exchange for her own. "I hate it when they get things wrong,"she grumbled more to herself. She did hate it. She hated things not going her way. She hated waitresses not doing their job right. Most of all, she hated having to talk to others in order to fix things. It seemed today was just not her day.
Sungbae noticed the way e looked at her. She recognized that admiration. It was the same way all her fans looked at her. They all thought she was so great and worshiped her for her writings. None of them understood how thankless her job was. Little pay, long hours, and due dates were not her idea of luxurious. Even she had a boss who told her what to do and when to do it. But she loved to write, and so she did as she was told.
This guy seemed nice, and she meant no offense to him, but she was not a people person. She wore that frown as if it were in style. Her eyes scrutinized the man in front of her. "Haven't I seen you before?" she asked him. She did indeed recognize him, but she did not know from where. Perhaps he was from one of her countless book signings. Racking her brain, drawing a blank. She could not put her finger on it.
((Sorry it's so short.))

Sangmin laughed, "I also hate when they get my order wrong. It puts me right off." He chuckled and shrugged. "How about I pick up your gallete for the trouble. You look like you're a bit frazzled." He glanced to the laptop, "Did the mix up interrupt your work?"
He lofted his brow at her mention of recognizing him. "Mmm...probably. I was a model and I was in a few dramas back in the day. Well, until a couple of years ago anyway. I found something else I love to do. I still model on rare occasions. You may have seen one of my ads or a modeling spread." He shrugged, "It doesn't really matter. That's the past. I'm sure you're used to people recognizing you as well. I try to make a point of knowing the regulars here and I know you're An Sungbae. Right?"
"I'm Park Sangmin. But you can just call me Sangmin, I don't mind. I see you here a lot." He studied Sungbae and snapped his fingers. "You look like you are way too stressed out. All frowns and forehead wrinkles." He waved to a waiter, trying to signal him over. "It is official. I will buy you sweets and something nice to drink. You need to relax." He waved over to the couches. "Come, let us move to somewhere you can put your feet up and enjoy your pastry."
He smiled his best smile and waggled his eyebrows playfully. "Come we can eat pastry, drink caffeinated beverages and complain about deadlines, work and overbearing bosses. You know, the things everyone with jobs do." Sangmin smirked, he knew how the industry worked- any industry where writing occured. Always deadlines, overbearing editors, complaints. His father always complained about them when his scripts were due. And Sangmin had similar issues in his own job. He cringed at the thought of his own deadline this afternoon with the first fitting. Did he finish everything? He couldn't remember.
Yes, the lack of sleep was definitely catching up. Apparently exhaustion effects the short term memory.

Sungbae gazed back at her laptop and then at Sangmin. "No, I'm...taking a break for now," she said as she shook her head. She really was taking a break. Her work was so stressful when it came time for it to be due. Sometimes she wished she had the money to hire a consultant. Someone to tell her what to write would make things so much easier. Although, her boss did that for free.
A model, huh? she thought as she tried to remember. Then a light clicked in her head. She had indeed seen a poster with this man on it. It had not appealed to her, though. Sungbae was not one to be swayed by posters of finely dressed men and fancy labels. Although, it wasn't as if she had the money for designer labels.
Before she could say anything Sungbae was being dragged over to the couches. Her eyes wandered over to the lone laptop sitting in the back of the cafe. She hoped it would remain untouched if she left it alone. It wasn't like she had anything of value on it, though. Everything on that computer was copyrighted except the newest file. Her legs betrayed her as she moved to a couch and sat down. She did not object when he offered to pay for her pastry.
Sungbae noticed some heavy bags under Sangmin's eyes. He seemed tired and overworked. Aren't we all? she thought to herself with a chuckle. "Perhaps you might give me inspiration for my newest work," she suggested to her companion. This was a hope she had not wished to voice, but she figured there was no harm. The light in her eyes was not as bright as it could be. They kept looking back at her laptop. That thing was her life.

Repeat the previous steps.
It is acceptable to post a couple times, maybe even three. Four is completely out of the question, because that's eight posts that we have to thread through to get any semblance of meaning out of them. Because I'm posting this in the actual RP thread, no one can claim ignorance.
Now, I'm going to have to take a lot more time than I'd like to post, because I don't want to leave anyone out. So, please, stfu.]

Park Sunhee
It gave Sunhee a warm feeling so see how quickly the cafe regulars responded to Mihi's predicament. The average pedestrian on the street would have simply stepped around her and continued on their way, after a scornful glance, of course. That reason alone was why Kuiyeowo Sarang was such a wonderful retreat. That and Hyunsu's ever-bizarre antics. To be truthful, the things he did sometimes made Sunhee nervous and she was absolutely certain she would freeze if she was ever fortunate, or unfortunate, enough to be the focus of one of his unusual games. Either that or the poor girl would simply faint and fall over. Her lips twitched up into a hesitant smile when Chunho began to run around as well, ever loyal and quick to heed his employer's command.
That was when her eyes fell on Sangmin, caught up in conversation with Haejung and Taehyun. They were so unbelievable lucky! Sangmin... She felt herself walk away, drawn to his enigmatic perfection like a moth to a flame. Mihi was completely forgotten, as was the cardigan in Sunhee's hand, which she still held out like a senseless idiot. Great, Sunhee thought, wander over to him like a kid after the last piece of candy. A quick glance around the cafe told her that everyone was far too interested in their own lives to have seen her moronic stroll towards Sangmin. She lowered her arm and held the cardigan close, looking for a free place to sit and a way to pretend she was not chasing Sangmin like a lovesick puppy.
Sunhee had always had a bit of a thing for him, clipping out his picture from magazine ads and watching him perform at every opportunity. When he had left the spotlight, her infatuation had diminished little and only due to a lack of new stimulus. She even still had a handful of his pictures, her favorites, in an old photobook somewhere. The first day she had seen him in the cafe, Sunhee had to control her fangirl urge to squeal and watched him from afar. And the next day she had done the same. And the day after that... It became routine to sigh and mope, seated a few tables away. Why? There were plenty of gorgeous men about!
Unbelievable bodies, handsome faces, and adorable smiles were the norm for Kuiyeowo Sarang no matter what the gender. She sometimes felt like she was in no way pretty enough to frequent this place... Too bad she liked it, and Sangmin, too much to stop coming. Maybe it was because he was a teenage crush that she gravitated toward him. It was the possibility of perhaps finally attaining something she had languished over and fantasized about. Just the sight of him made her forget acting. He'd probably run screaming the other way if he ever so much as suspected what thoughts crossed her mind when he was around.
She watched him walk by, expression intent, and sighed. The scent of his cologne was subtle but enticing, and it made her wonder what it would be like to be wrapped up in his embrace. He was probably great at cuddling. Sunhee went to sit beside Yoolee and propped her chin up with her hand, preparing to go into the moping session that was a requisite for Sangmin-watching. "I'm such a loser," she muttered to herself. She had just stood there like a moron while he went to go flirt with another girl!
~***~
Kim Taehyun
"N-n-no. N-not at a-all. G-go right ahead."
Taehyun had to swallow lest his drool trickle out to his shirt. Not that it would have mattered, given the dampness of his clothing. The way her lips moved was a terrible torture and he briefly wondered if she knew what sort of effect they could have on men. Tae was even having trouble thinking up silly flattery to ensnare her. That was his specialty! Instead, the captivated playboy was trying to piece together wild scenarios that ended with Taehyun's lips on her own. He couldn't very well just force himself on her. One, he didn't want to run her off. Two, they were in public with quite a few sets of eyes around.
"D-don't worry about it. It's just water."
Sure thing...
"If it isn't our local Don Juan. You're lucky there are no ghosts here to lure you to the graveyard. Or do you prefer Casanova?" Sangmin said.
Leave it the jealous little gay man to ruin everything. He was smarter than both Casanova and Don Juan, of course. No one would ever catch him accepting invitations to dinner with a dead man. Taehyun shrugged, brought back reality by the prospect of being revealed for what he truly was. "Taehyun suits me just fine." He gave a soft sigh, handsome features arranged to look as unhappy as possible. "I've got myself a terrible reputation but... I'm just trying to find a nice girl. I have the bad habit of falling in love so easily." Hopefully Haejung bought that load of crap. He could give a flying fondue what Sangmin thought. Sangmin was just an obstacle and when the threat decided to get up and walk off, Taehyun could not help but grin and scoot closer to Haejung, with the pretense of setting his coffee down.
Seeing Haejung's guileless face however... Taehyun felt a familiar stab of guilt. She was so pretty and sweet. She was nothing like the club rats and gold-digging models he brought home and just maybe Haejung deserved more than a one night fling. "You seem like a really nice girl, Haejung. I hope you have better luck with love than I do." Taehyun wanted to run away. He wanted her to run away. He wanted anything to keep them apart so that he could not hurt her when his fickle heart decided it was bored. But Haejung's pretty pink mouth kept taunting him and his indulgent nature won another round, shuttering Taehyun's conscience away once more. "I should still make it up to you somehow. The water that is. Can I pay for your breakfast? Or maybe dinner?"

♥Choi Yoolee♥
I [believe] in only you and me
Never gonna give up, we can see
Happiness and sadness, together
[We are gonna double take it!]
[imgleft]http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/1287/yoolee.jpg[/imgleft]
Yoolee sighed, exhaling through her mouth and blowing just hard enough that any remaining hair clutching to her forehead was briefly uplifted. She felt really bad for putting Chunho on the spot like she had. It was just the hemophobia taking over. In the sight of blood, nothing else mattered except for its immediate disposal. She couldn't possibly have talked to him casually with the red menace lounging across his chin, mocking her silently with its freshly shed sheen. She hung her dark head in mild defeat. "He probably thinks I'm such a pushy freak now.." Yoolee mumbled, staring down at her table blankly through narrowing eyes.
Yoolee began tapping her right foot lightly to pass the time, wondering how she could embarrass herself further. 'You know he works here, Yoolee. Can you imagine the weird glances you may get EVERY DAY now?' Giiiiirl, you have got to learn to think clearly before you act lamely.' As she waited impatiently for Chunho to return, Yoolee slipped the black, stretchy holder free from her slick hair and proceeded to attempt to restore her ponytail to its pre-downpour glory. She wasn't too successful, but at least she didn't look completely like a drowned rat anymore. She then ran through various phrases of apology in her head, trying to figure out a way to explain her sudden actions. It was at that moment that Sunhee sat down at her table.
Yoolee mentally braced herself for the oncoming, moping train. If she had seen it coming she could've tried to stop it sooner. There was no use in trying now though, since it was a mere foot away. "You certainly aren't a loser." She frowned and pushed out her bottom lip childishly. She hated to see her roomie feel so rejected like this. "H-Hey now, cheer up." She said, putting on a smile for Sunhee. "Uhh.. Hm.. There's..uh..plenty of fish in the sea." Yoolee added with an optimistic nod. "Oh, and the night is always darkest before the dawn! So, please don't be sad.." Yoolee folded her hands in her lap and nervously intertwined her fingers from underneath the small, cafe table. She was never any good at this comforting thing. "Here." She pushed a menu in Sunhee's direction. "Order anything you want. I'm buying."
Even the pain can be [beautiful]
Only when the feeling is for you
Future will be always on my side
[I am gonna double take it!]

Little did Taehyun know that if he took her right then and there, Haejung would not have stopped him. Not. At. All. Unfortunately for their sexual desires, neither one of them was psychic. Damn shame, really, because today was a cute pantie day. Such a waste, really.
Oh, well~
Sangmin said something about foreigners that snapped Haejung back into reality, or maybe it was because her order had arrived. It didn't matter really, Haejung had long since forgotten that there was anyone else sitting next to her (or in the room for that matter.) Oh, wait. Taehyun was speaking again. FOCUS!
"I've got myself a terrible reputation but... I'm just trying to find a nice girl. I have the bad habit of falling in love so easily."
Haejung managed to nod as she took a sip from her boba. Mmm~ Delicious. If there was one thing that could distract her (if only momentarily) from a cute boy, it was a good boba. Haejung caught a tapioca pearl on the edge of her lips before putting her drink down. It sat comfortably between her lips for a second before she ate it. Mmm~ Tapioca pearl. Taehyun seemed oddly closer when she turned back to him, and she was vaguely aware of Sangmin wandering off. None of these things bothered her much, though. Well, except for Taehyun being so near. He was dangerously too close; there was a chance he might hear how fast her heart was beating or her short, frequent breathes that were chilling her lips.
"You seem like a really nice girl, Haejung. "
He speaks. O, speak again, bright angel!*
"I hope you have better luck with love than I do." This made Haejung frown a bit. She hadn't had much luck in love to be honest. It seemed someone was always taking advantage of her. Faucet of love, remember?
"Not really," she said, her eyes had focused on the pattern printed on her boba's cup. "It seems I always end up hurt..."
"I should still make it up to you somehow. The water that is. Can I pay for your breakfast?"
Haejung's heavy heart lightened when she looked back at Taehyun. That was until it started pounding again. It almost hurt.
"A-aniyo*. Gomawo*, Taehyun-ssi; but really, don't worry yourself about it." Haejung's cheeks were tinged pink at his gesture, and, as if she wasn't having trouble breathing already, he added to the question.
"Or maybe dinner?"
Haejung's heart was now beating at inhuman levels. Ok, so maybe that was a stretch, but either way, it didn't help the fact that she seemed to forget how to breathe.
Somehow, night had come early for Haejung, because everything soon became black.

Hyunsu
At the suggestion of a piano, he thought for a moment. "A piano. Doesn't that have buttons and make noise?" Sooooooo yes. The idea of what a piano was was not actually very solid. He had a general fuzzy shape in mind with lots of dissonant noise emitting from it. "Goblins like noise. DO YOU WANT THE GOBLINS TO COME BACK?.... Unless we use the piano as BAIT FOR THE GOBLINS! CHUNHO! GO BUY A PIANO." Yes! He would trap the pesky brats as they waited to trip up 'his' girls. Never mind, of course, that if said goblins actually existed, they'd surely heard his exclamation of his clever strategy and would never show after said piano appeared in the cafe.
Naturally, Hyunsu did not think to give Chunho any money.
When he was approached by Soyeon, he turned to look at her, head canting to the left, a curious look on his face. "Ask me questions? Like what? I always have time for my girls!" A slightly-psychotic smile crossed his face. "And you look as lovely as ever, Soyeon!" Without thinking, he picked up the cleaver he'd put down on the counter earlier that morning, dividing his previously sliced beasties into cups for turning into Assortied Beastie Smoothies...as unappetizing as it sounded, it was actually quite good.
His demeanor changed with a sigh as Mihi denied seeing the goblin. "They are deviously fast, you know. Live in the cupboards...." He grumbled. "They take all my baits and leave nothing but crumbs!" He was referring to the pies customers ordered and which returned as empty plates. "But at any rate, the piano will be their undoing! CHUNHO! A RAISE FOR YOU!" He would forget about the raise in a few minutes. Poor Chunho.
What caught his insanely-ADD attention next was the comments about ghosts. "THERE WILL BE NO GHOST TALKING IN MY CAFE! They are paranoid things. And they like caramel! DO YOU WANT MY CARAMEL TO RUIN?" He called in an oh-come-on-everyone-knows-this tone of voice. The fact that it was just comparisons to literature never occured to him. Finally, he remembered that Soyeon had wanted something! Questions questions questions! There was always time for information!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Daehyun
Dae also jumped when Hyunsu combined gymnastics with the techniques of the barista, although his was more of a wince. Damndamndamn, she probably thinks I'm a loser, flinching like that! Cervantes help me! Actually, calling on the author of Don Quixote was probably not the brightest of metaphysical ideas, but it worked for him, so whatever. Returning to his seat with Mihi, he wondered what kind of luck he was having and which god he had particularly pleased lately to get the company of Mihi. An actress, no less! He sat down in front of her, trying to think of something to say.
OH! THE SHIRT! "Oh, uhm, yes, no problem! I saw you take your spill and I thought maybe it would help..." His voice trailed off as he searched through his bag.... No luck. "Uh... One second." Daehyun gave her his best Hey-it's-not-working-but-I-know-exactly-what-I'm-doing look. Anyone who has ever been caught in a similar situation knows exactly how that look feels. He rummaged through his bag again, taking out a thick book with the title 'Fourteenth Century Byzantium' and a half-drafted manuscript with hesitant handwriting, titled 'The Development of Feudal Society with Respect to Social Status and Pecuniary Habits' as he searched.
Oh thank every metaphysical being whose ass he could kiss at this moment, he wasn't mistaken! He found a grey zip-up hoody with the words 'Seoul University' emblazoned on the front, which he handed to Mihi. Now he actually looked up at her and tried to think of something else to say that didn't make him sound like even more of a chivalric white-knight-wannabe. "Uh," Dae chuckled a bit nervously. "I'm Daehyun. But you can call me Dae, if you really want to. Some people do. I don't know, I don't really mind either. You're the actress, right? I saw a few posters on campus." Babblebabblebabble! SHUT UP, Daehyun! "Uh... You look much prettier in person." Dude..... SHUT UP! Daehyun finally realized what he was doing and averted his gaze, looking at Yoolee. He would seriously have to find time to talk to her today, even if he had to do something dramatic.... NO. Stop that thought right there! You're talking to Mihi, not Yoolee... He forced his gaze back to Mihi, but found that he couldn't really look her in the face again comfortably yet, and so glanced down at his books and half-finished paper. Somehow, he didn't even notice Hyunsu doing his usual talk-yell-talk thing as he tried to focus his attention on the very pretty and out-of-his-league Mihi.

Chunho's face lit up when he was told to go buy a piano. He almost ran out of the cafe right then to go get the best baby grand piano ever! But... What about money..? Pianos aren't cheap.... And Chunho definitely didn't have enough money to go out and buy one on his own... And if he did, it'd be going in his room back at home... Not the cafe. So, Chunho spoke up, his smile became a bit nervous. Asking for money would mean not getting a piano. He was sure of this. But... maybe... if it would help with 'defeating' the goblins....
"Maybe... You should come with me to pick one out..? I mean, they're expensive... And you want to make sure you get the right one...." He trailed off. Chunho really hoped that Hyunsu would pick up more on the 'they're expensive' part of that statement. He could easily go and pick one out himself, he just... If Hyunsu was paying for it, then Hyunsu should have some say in which one they got, right?
In the meantime, Yoolee's hwachae was ready to be served...Well, almost ready. Chunho still had to do his part in decorating the drink. He smiled to himself as he tried to think up something cute and clever to do with it.... Which was harder than it normally was. Coffees are easier to decorate than teas, though, so he left the Jangmi hwachae alone and leaned two rose petals against the cup. The drink itself was already pretty... He also sprinkled a few smaller petals around the Apple Gallete he was planning to give her, too. The theme was pretty cute. And... Could be taken for his crush on her, but then again.... Since the drink was Jangmi, it could be him just spreading a theme from the drink to the rest of the 'meal'.
Chunho's smile became even brighter when he heard the statement about getting a raise. But... Hadn't he been told he'd get a raise a number of times already...? And his paycheck never said he was getting paid anymore than usual. Sigh. He shouldn't be getting tricked by that anymore.
"I'm going to deliver this, I'll be back to pick up some more orders in a moment," he wasn't really speaking to loudly... And had already started to walk off. Chunho wondered if Hyunsu had heard him, but, that didn't matter too much, did it? Nope! Because there was Yoolee! And now Sunhee was there, too. Chunho didn't really know much about Sunhee beside the fact that she and Yoolee were friends... Meaning that he should also be friends with Sunhee.
The young waiter gently placed the drink and pastry on the table in front of Yoolee. He couldn't help but smile as he did this simple task, either. He didn't think he needed to say anything. She should know that he likes her, right? Just from the presentation of the pastry and tea? Well, if she didn't, then Chunho would have to make it more obvious... Somehow. He wasn't sure how yet, but that's just because he didn't have much experience with this sort of thing...
Chunho turned to see if Sunhee would order anything.
"Sunhee, how're you today?" He asked. She... looked depressed. And depressed looking people weren't something that Chunho liked. Goblins pestering everyone and what not. Wait. Was he seriously blaming goblins? Chunho made a mental note that he spent too much time at the cafe. He crouched down, resting his hands on the table, followed by his chin on his hands. "Aww, you don't look so good. Is there anything I can do to help you out? Or anything I can get you to help you feel better?" If there were a piano he could play a song for her. A song to chase away the goblins that were pestering her and help her feel better. Or, at least forget about whatever it was that was bothering her while basking in the glory that was Chunho's piano playing. Chunho was smiling at the thought of everyone in the cafe being amazed by his skill. If he did get to go buy a piano, this would be in his blog, too....

Sangmin led Sungbae to the couches with a grin. As she settled in, he set his tart by the rest of his food- his soup, salad and coffee. he looked at it for a moment, but didn't sit himself. "Everyone, This is An Sungbae. Be nice Don Juan- she needs a smile and a break." He grinned at her and picked up his coffee, taking a grateful swig. he sighed, setting it back down with his food- still standing.
With that, he flitted across the room and gathered up her laptop, bringing it back to her. He set it on the low table in front of her and winked. "I know I hate leaving my things behind- and laptops are expensive." He finally sat back down in the chair he had previously claimed. "Once, someone stole my music player right off my workbench. I was livid. Since then, I learned my lesson about leaving anything important unwatched."
Sangmin picked up the spoon for his soup and took a taste. He closed his eyes happily, the warm liquid soothing. He ladled up one of the lovely dumplings and ate it happily. The rain had put him in the mood for soup. And since they offered it with his favorite dumpling- it was like a bonus. The salad was so he could pretend to be healthy. Sure, he wasn't still a model- but sometimes he got conned into working a show for Ae Sook. She was devious that woman- his current boss. But for all her deviousness and slave driving, she was a great boss and an even better designer.
Glancing over to Sungbae he perked up, "Would you like anything aside from the tart? My treat of course. I find that my creative juices get flowing after I've had a nice meal and a good cup of coffee or tea." Laughing pleasantly he continued, "That's probably why I'm in here so often. Inspiration." he took another bite of his soup, careful not to slurp it down in his delight. "Speaking of inspiration- you mentioned needing some?"
He waved a hand over to the swooning Haejung. He lowers his voice, knowing perfectly well that despite this, anyone remotely nearby can hear him, but completely uncaring of such things, "If I make my guesses correctly, by her stuttering and heavy breathing, she finds our local Don Juan to be tasty. Can she tame the ever-hungry libertine? The Lothario of our cafe? She is quite pretty and seems to be pure of heart- can such innocence and guileless beauty sway the heart of one like him? Romance in the Local Cafe- Book One. I can see a series of course."

"Oh..umm.. Well it's just this assignment for class that I have." Soyeon took a step back as Hyunsu continued to talk. He was yelling about goblins again. She smiled slightly when she heard the compliment, and looked down at her paper nervously. "T-thank you, Mr. Bae"
'He's harmless.. Harmless..Like a little child.' Yes, now associating Hyunsu with a child was much easier. A very crazy child, with an overactive imagination..but a child none the less. Soon came the whole caramel thing. She giggled. 'yes... A very imaginative child. Ghosts liking caramel. How fun.'
Finally his gaze was back on her, so she felt that she could talk again.
"I wanted to ask you about elementary school.. The questions are...Did you have a favorite teacher while you were in school? What was that person like? Did they inspire you in any way?" She began talking once he was down shouting."Umm... Did you enjoy elementary school? What were you like back then? Did the skills you learned then help you now?"
Soyeon was already starting to feel slightly drained from talking to Hyunsu. 'I'll just ask my neighbor the other questions...'
Taking the easy way out wasn't something she did often, but she didn't feel like she had the energy to talk to anymore people after this. Everyone seemed to be talking all together and were in groups. She really didn't have the energy. She tugged on a strand of her brown hair, as her eyes glanced around what was going on in the cafe behind her as she waited for Hyunsu to respond.

Park Sunhee
"I wish I were the only fish in his sea," Sunhee replied, wishing she had the guts to stand up and shout it from the rooftops. She was such a goof. Sangmin was just a few feet away and here she was, mooning over him like some doe-eyed heroine from a romance novel. But there was little chance of her white knight striding over to sweep her off her feet. Zero chance, in fact. How ridiculous was an actress without the courage to go up to the guy she liked and just plain introduce herself? "I'm gonna get me some pulled tea, if that's okay, Yoolee."
"Sunhee, how're you today?"
She looked up without bothering to pick her chin up off the table. Chunho? Yeah, that was his name. He was the waiter that usually served Yoolee and the only one that had lasted under Hyunsu's rule for longer than a month. Most could not cope with the wild cafe owner's erratic behavior. Sunhee sighed in response to his question, giving him her most dejected expression.
"Aww, you don't look so good. Is there anything I can do to help you out? Or anything I can get you to help you feel better?"
Sunhee just wanted to sink deeper into the table but as that was not possible, settled for another sigh. "You can help me find a backbone," she said, sitting up at last. A small smile touched her lips as Chunho gave her a puzzled look. "It's fine, Chunho. Can I get a pulled tea? And... whatever the cake of the day is." Her smiled widened until it was a sunny beam, once more bright and cheery. Just like that, Sunhee put Sangmin out of her mind, determined to have a good morning. Never mind the fact that he was sitting right over there with a beautiful girl beside him. She was a regular too and Sunhee recalled that she was usually scowling at a laptop.
Trying not to fixate on the group at the sofas, Sunhee took a small notebook and pen out of her purse, the brilliant patent fuschia of her bag a sharp contrast to the soft blue-greens and grays she wore. Pretty colors always cheered her up. As did the prospect of work. Just plaster a smile on your face, she told herself. Everything will be daisies again in no time.
"What's on your agenda for today, Yoolee?"
~***~
Kim Taehyun
"Everyone, This is An Sungbae. Be nice Don Juan- she needs a smile and a break."
He had more sense than to flirt with another girl in front of a girl he was trying to score with! But Sungbae was terribly cute. Nice lips on her too, though different from Haejung's. Taehyun was not one to close all doors however, and he smiled amiably at Sunbae. The thought of finding a girlfriend flew right out the window. There were far too many cute girls about to settle down for any length of time. Besides, Taehyun still hadn't found Miss Right, even if he only wanted her for the month of April. Haejung had potential. There was the temptation of her mouth and the sweet way she blushed. There didn't seem to be any trickery or falseness to her and Taehyun adored that. He was tired of the games women played. Soon after there were always demands and pouting and questions. Needless to say, his relationships seldom lasted long. Haejung seemed like a pleaser, not a pouter.
Before he could gather any further of evidence of her significant other prospects, Haejung cut his assessment short by fainting. "H-Hey! Woah!" Taehyun grabbed her shoulders, righting her before she could pitch off the sofa and crack her head on the floor. What was he supposed to do? He'd never had a girl faint on him before! This was not quite how he had planned for her to end up in his arms.
"If I make my guesses correctly, by her stuttering and heavy breathing, she finds our local Don Juan to be tasty. Can she tame the ever-hungry libertine? The Lothario of our cafe? She is quite pretty and seems to be pure of heart- can such innocence and guileless beauty sway the heart of one like him? Romance in the Local Cafe- Book One. I can see a series of course."
"Come on, Sangmin. This isn't the time for jokes. She's pale and stuff. What do I do?" Forget it, Sangmin wasn't going to be of any help. As much as he doubted Hyunsu would know any better, he was the owner of the cafe so he had to have some idea. Mindful of her comfort and modesty and comfort, Taehyun scooped her into his arms and made his way over to Hyunsu. He winced visibly as he approached, hoping there would be no theatrics. Taehyun's heart was beating a mile a minute already.

Sungbae sat on the couch as Sangmin directed her to. Her eyes followed him as he set down his tart by the rest of his food. A wave of her hand and a slight smile stood as greeting to the rest of the group. The steam from Sangmin's coffee reminded her that her own cup was empty. She looked longingly back at her seat. Coffee helped her to think and write.
A smile glinted across Sungbae's lips when Sangmin brought her laptop to her. "Thanks," was all she said. She only halfheartedly listened to his story. Other people's problems never really interested Sungbae. She was indifferent to others and they meant little to her. Personal experience had taught her not to open up to others or care what they thought.
Sungbae nodded in answer to Sangmin's question. "A cup of coffee would be great," she told him. Since her financial situation was almost non existent, she was more than willing to accept such an offer. Other people rarely offered to pay from anything for her, even when she went on a date. Every person who knew her as an author convinced themselves that she was rich. No one seemed to understand how little writers made.
A hand flew to Sungbae's mouth to stifle a chuckle. She knew the joke was rude and she knew the others did not appreciate it. However, she had a broad sense of humor. Making fun of others just happen to sit at the top of her list. "I'll keep that one in mind. I might even credit you for the idea," she chuckled jokingly.

"Now, now, don't think me cold. She's just overwhelmed by your very presence Don Juan. It would take a blind, deaf and dumb man not to see it. Stuttering, hyperventilation- you must have noticed. I did. Just because I'm a man doesn't mean I don't know infatuation when I see it. I get so tired of clueless men- and women for that matter." Sangmin took a sip of his coffee, lifting a hand to wave down one of the waiters for Sungbae. He mulled over his coffee for a moment, taking a second sip before setting it down.
Taehyun has picked up Haejung by now to whisk her off like a princess. Smooth move really- though she may just pass out again when she realizes whose arms she has woken up in."I find it best to be forthright with people. I think Haejung is quite cute. But, her reaction to our local libertine makes me believe I haven't got two chances in hell- unless he completely drops the ball- or drops her straight on her little butt carrying her over there. Also- her reaction is a bit extreme for my taste. I like to be able to hold a conversation. You'd be surprised how many girls would swoon or simply squeal when I so much as looked at them back in my hay day. Uhg." He wrinkles his nose in distaste. "If you can't talk to me, then all you'll do is bore me. You must get similar reactions when people recognize you."
Sangmin picks up his salad, spearing a bit of apple and crumbly cheese. Chewing his food, he points his fork over to the girls sharing a table, "They are also quite pretty- but not nearly outgoing enough for my tastes. See how they huddle together instead of coming out to chat?" He turns his eye to Hyunsu and the girl chatting with him, "That girl has got guts to approach the owner- or perhaps she's a little bent herself. Or maybe has a martyr complex and wants to 'fix him'." He makes some air quotes with his fingers. "Hmm…I've forgotten her name. I try to remember these things about the regulars, but it's just flitted right out. I really have to get more sleep."
He turns his attention back to his salad and to Sungbae. He takes another bite, looking her up and down. "Now you- you're a hard worker. You're pretty and have decent taste in fashion. I see you in here on your laptop typing away. You are unaffected by the people around you unless you find yourself annoyed." He waves to the desserts, indicating them and the most current annoyance. "I suspect you've got some brains rolling around in there and possibly also opinions. Though I've been wrong before and disappointed on those counts. I doubt very much that you would be boring." He leans back in his chair comfortably, "You're not afraid of work." He leans sideways in his chair, dropping his voice, "And somewhere in there is a hopeful romantic. If there wasn't, you wouldn't write."
He picks up his coffee, holding it in one hand. He waves his other hand before taking a sip and says, "Or maybe I'm completely wrong about all of this and I'm just babbling." He waves his hand again, swallowing his sip of coffee, "Either way, I think we can be friends. You're interesting."

Sangmin had it all down pat. He picked out Sungbae's personality perfectly. It bothered Sungbae that she was so easily read. A feeling of predictability that she had tried her whole life to avoid swept over her. Blood rushed to her face quickly. The writer was unsure whether it was more embarrassment or anger that caused the sudden blush. Blushing made her even more uncomfortable around these people. There were reasons that Sungbae did not associate with others and this was one of them.
The next few moments passed silently as Sungbae critiqued herself. What's wrong with you? Trying to blend in, are you? You know you spend your time better alone. What made you think you could fit in? she questioned herself. The more she criticized herself, the redder her face became. She was absolutely furious with herself.
Sangmin offering friendship caught Sungbae completely off guard. All color faded from her face. Never had she ever known someone to gain and lose color in their face so quickly. Her hand flew to her face to hide the sudden change. It took a moment for the novelist to catch her breath. When she did no response came to her. All she could manage was to eat her pastry and stare at the man who had spoken.
A few more awkward minutes passed before Sungbae could think clearly. When she could think she spoke with her normal assertive tone. "And what makes you think I want your friendship?" she meant it as a joke, but it didn't sound that way. She shook her head to clear up the matter. "I was kidding," she said. On a more upbeat note, she added, "Why am I so interesting?"

Mihi waited patiently as he searched for the shirt, smiling back at him with a sort of "Oh-believe-me-I-know-how-it-is-don't-worry" look and a light laugh. She filled the gap of silence by listening to the chatter around her, finding it interesting that today out of all the days she's come here would be the day she actually talked with one of her fellow regulars. Hm. What stopped her before? She made a mental checklist: Rehearsal, rehearsal, acting lessons, rehearsal, auditions... Oh yeah, she'd forgotten that you have to sell your soul to succeed in Drama. She tilted her head slightly at the book and manuscript he pulled out of his bag, thinking to herself that she should really make more time to get to know these people. After all, shows were fun, but they're always better when you have friends meet you afterward to congratulate or console you.
She gave an appreciative smile as she took the hoodie and pulled it over her head. Mihi pulled her hair out of the back and sighed in relief. Warmth. Sweet, sweet warmth. She could almost feel the goosebumps retreating from it now that her wet skin was no longer under the A/C's relentless air. Mihi looked down at her hands in her lap as she waited to see if he'd say anything. If he didn't, she'd take it as a hint that this random act of kindness was in fact not a sign of a possible friendship. However, this was not the case, and she looked back at him when he spoke. She nodded to his question and then laughed at his comment. "Yeah... the digital arts students photoshop all of our posters, and well, you know how Korea is: plastic surgery and airbrushing are what's beautiful..." She trailed off to shake her head, the corners of her mouth turning down in distaste. Mihi giggled and admitted, "So we actors end up looking kind of like creepy mannequin-alien-things as a result." Mihi laughed again as the most recent poster came to mind, for the upcoming Korean adaptation of the musical Thoroughly Modern Millie. Those crazy digital arts students had even gone so far to photoshop her irises bigger, making it look like she was wearing those creepy circle lenses!*
Mihi's eyes followed his to his books and paper, and she reached over to tap the top of the pile with her index finger. "So what's all this, anyway? 'Fourteenth Century Byzantium?' I don't eve know what kind of major that book applies to..." She laughed and ran a hand through her hair, taking off her hat in the process. She tucked it into her bag and let her hair fall naturally; it covered her ears and made them warmer, whereas the hat pushed her hair back and wasn't long enough to reach her ears. Sigh~ The little annoyances of being a slightly stylish girl...
[*In Korea, "circle lenses" are very popular among stylish uljjangs ("best face" a.k.a. "pretty people"). They are basically contacts with a thick black ring around the area where the iris is, making the wearer's eyes appear abnormally big. Seriously, some of them look like aliens. o_O scary uljjang tutorial]

Daehyun
Before he could stop himself, and he would mentally kick his own ass for this later, he disagreed. "No, you're great. I don't think you look creepy at all!" Oh. How pathetic. Yes, Mihi, you're great. Oh, hello, idiot. Couldn't you have picked better words? But nooo, it had to be 'you're great,' and of course, the inevitable 'no, you're not creepy.' He winced lightly. "Okay, that's not what I meant..." A nervous chuckle escaped him. At least, for an actress, she seemed pretty down to earth, which was a good thing.
When she mentioned the book, he perked up a bit. "Oh, it's European history. Not many people are into it, but I like it. Feudalism had its strong points." Oh, no... There was a major nerd moment coming. He could sense it coming, but there was nothing short of an act of god that could stop it. "You know, knights and lords and all that good stuff. Chivalry and what have you. The paper's something I'm just kind of working on in my spare time." He leaned over, catching a glimpse of Yoolee. He seriously needed to find a way to talk to her, and soon. He was half-in-love with her already, just from walking by the flower shop she worked at every morning. Yes, she was definitely next on his list of 'People I Really, Really, Really Need to Talk to.' "Uh, anyway, it's just something I kinda fell in love with. You know, stories about knights and dragons and all that. Our dragons either love us or eat us. Their dragons..." He was referring to European dragons, "...hoarded gold, made heroes and so forth. Their dragons are monsters. Ours are gods. It's a nice change, I think." He smiled, knowing how he sounded like a total dork right now. In all honesty, his mind was more on Yoolee at the moment. He shook his head slightly, willing thoughts of the would-be horticulturist and focusing on Mihi again.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hyunsu
Hyunsu focused on Soyeon. "Uhhhhm. I don't know." He blinked. Hyunsu had never paid much attention to....well, anything. "Schoolteachers do not like me. I am loud and they are quiet. It is the natural way of things, like red beasties being so nom-nom-delicious." He shrugged; clearly speaking about his mildly-psychotic separation from what the rest of them referred to as reality didn't bother him. "I liked the cafeteria ladies! They made me special food!" He beamed with the memory. "Always be nice to your cooks. They put effort into what you eat! It is not flavor, but effort and understanding that makes food so delicious! And please! Hyunsu, not Mr. Bae! We are friends, not business!" Somehow, to him, that statement made sense.
Remarkably, Hyunsu came out of his mild psychosis long enough to realize that Soyeon was uncomfortable. "If you are not feeling well, I have plenty of good things that will make you sparkle like your usual lovely self. Whatever is the matter, my dear?" He waved Chunho off, momentarily. Once he got an answer from Soyeon (who was drastically more important to him than any piano would ever be), he told her he would be back in a few minutes, then strode to his office, where he disappeared. He returned several minutes later with a black ink pen and a check book, both of which he held in his right hand in Chunho's direction. "Go buy a piano. And fudge. Why didn't you TELL me we were out of fudge?" A sigh escaped the odd man. Hyunsu had just given Chunho a literally blank check.
When Taehyun reached his counter with Haejung in tow, he blinked again. This was most unexpected. For a moment, he seemed almost unsure of what to do. "Put her on the bar!" There was a mild urgency to his voice, as of course, he was worried about the safety of one of 'his' girls, but no panic. "I will return!" Hyunsu, in his traditional fashion, performed a standing back handspring over the bar, returning to the bowels of his cafe, then into his office. When he returned two minutes later, he was carrying a very, very large first aid kit in one hand and a rather ominous-looking white glass capsule in the other. Smelling salts, anyone? >=D Hyunsu used a thick dishcloth to shield them from the glass, wrapping the capsule in the dishcloth and then breaking it with a quick motion of his wrist. Then he held the dishcloth, which smelled worse than the absolutely worst smell you can think of, up to Haejung's nose. It would probably knock her into consciousness! If it worked on people with serious head trauma from sports, it would work on Haejung.

Yoolee's face lit up once her pastry and hwachae arrived. After all, everything seemed at least a little better when there's food involved, right? "Thank you, Chunho," she smiled, unaware of the effort that went into the presentation of her order. Well, that is, until she looked down and saw the meticulously arranged rose petals. She couldn't recall having seen an arrangement quite like this the last time she ordered a pastry. Did he know about her love of flowers? Or was this another one of Hyunsu's playful schemes?
Yoolee cocked her head to the side as she pondered slightly. 'Oh! I know! I..uh..must've worn my name tag in here before! That's it!' She bit her lip while she debated over whether or not to thank Chunho for what she assumed he had a hand in. It was really sweet of whoever it was to incorporate something she was so passionate for into a simple surprise on a less than fantastic morning. Well, she could at least thank him indirectly…
"Uh, Chunho? Last thing, promise." She began, smiling brightly up at the waiter. "Could you please pass my appreciation on to the person who arranged all of this? It's very pretty. I'm almost afraid to mess it up." Yoolee laughed softly, brushing a velvet rose petal off the pastry gently and taking a small bite. She sat quietly after that, nibbling on her pastry patiently as Sunhee ordered what she wanted. Her glutton-like ways were put on a slight hold though when her roommate inquired to her plans for the remainder of day. She swallowed, a little too loudly, as her eyes drifted off toward Sangmin and Sungbae.
"Well, I have a pretty long shift at work today. My boss apparently called in sick, and there's a new shipment of yellow roses that came in last night. That ought to keep me preoccupied for awhile...” Yoolee took a sip of her hwachae, her brows furrowing. 'You should have bought some leather gloves.’ She reminded herself, remembering how the last shipment mutilated her poor fingers. She shivered, 'Those thorns are evil, malicious appendages created by Satan to torment me. It's such a shame too. Roses are so beautiful.' Yoolee sighed and hung her head in slight defeat. Better grab a box of bandages before clocking in. It's going to be a loooong day…
Even the pain can be [beautiful]
Only when the feeling is for you
Future will be always on my side
[I am gonna double take it!]
