Rayne jumped back when Thomas cut her off.She looked down at the perfectly dry drawing off the school and smiled.She carefully took it from Thomas and held it in her hands.Rayne looked back up at Thomas and smiled."Um thanks a lot. How did you do this.I mean..thanks."She said.

"Its nothing really... I'm an element shifter so I touch an element and take on it as my own body. I just soaked up the water as I used the heat from the air to draw it out... It sounds complicated but it's very simple." Thomas said and smiled slightly. He didn't know why it was so easy to talk to Rayne. He hadn't talked to her before and he certainly didn't feel different. "Its very good by the way.... You take art?.... "he asked and pulled a piece of paper from his pocket. He took the pencil from her ear gently and began scratching away at it. In a minute he had finished and handed her the small picture of a intaketly drawn rose. As she looked at the picture he touched a plant and his arm turned green. He made a black and red petaled rose grow and then his hand returned to normal. He presented the rose to Rayne as she looked up at him and smiled. "Ill see you around... That's a promise..." he whispered and left walking down the hall and dissappearing around the corner.

Vaneria looked around and shrugged and then slid off of the tree branch. She loved the rain so much but hated to get wet since it was so cold and she usually didn't like the cold. She walked out into the rain and then ran over to the building which wasn't exactly close. When she got there, she was entirely soak and dripping. She was glad she didn't have class at this time and took out a towel from her bag she was carrying and dried off a bit going to her room.

Val couldn't help but jump when the lightning crashed through the sky. Lightning terrified the poor girl. She huddled under the tree, debating on whether or not she should make a run for it (and if she would be able to make a run for it or not) when the rain stopped.
"Ugh, perfect," she muttered, pulling her bag out from her jacket and opening it to make sure her sketchbook was alright. She swore loudly as she pulled the book out; one entire corner was soaked. Grumbling, she began back to her dorm, a frown on her full lips as she fought the urge to have a total melt down.

Rayne watches as Thomas disappears then looks down at the rose.She smiles."Wow."She whispers.Rayne twirls the rose in between her fingers as she makes her way to her dorm.She quickly makes her way to her dorm and opens the door.She flips on the light and walks over to a small desk and carefully lays her drawing and rose side by side on the desk.Rayne stands there for a moment staring at the to.She chuckles and turns around.and closes the door a bit.She sits down on the side of her bed and leans back.

Thomas walked to his dorm and hid there until school was over. Then grabbing his guitar and amp, he began walking to the art room. The halls where unusally abondoned bilut that was because there was an away volleyball game and everyone was going there. But Thomas refused to go to those games or anyother games becuase it just gave girls more of a reason to hang on him. As he entered the art room the professor looked up from her drawings and smiled at him and nodded to the empty room she didn't use. He returned the smile and walked into the room shutting the door. He set up his amp and tuned his guitar. He then began playing a song he had written himself and sung along quietly. But the sound of his guitar carried throughout most of the school.

Jeremy walked up to the school grounds, his thick cloak soaked with water from the rain only moments ago. "You can come out now little friends, it stopped raining." He said with a smile as two chipmunks scampered out from under his shirt and hopped off into a nearby tree. Jeremy chuckled to himself as he walked into the school. He pulled a small portable game station out of his pocket that to anyone else would have been obsolete by years but to him was the coolest thing he'd ever seen.

"Awww, dang the little yellow died again." He muttered as a small spider dropped onto his head. "Oh great, now I'm lost." He said, holding the game at his as he looked around what must have been an art room. The only other people in the room were the teacher and a boy playing what looked like an oddly shaped citar. Though the sound it made was so strange he found that he couldn't stop listening to it.

Rayne stood up when she heard a strange,sudden noise filling the school halls.She slowly walked towards her door and opened it.She walked through the halls trying to find the strange but beautiful noise.Rayne found herself outside the art room where she thought the noise was from.Rayne opened the door and looked around.She smiled at the art room teacher but was surprised to see a boy in the middle of the room.She took in a deep breath and walked inside the room.She guessed that the noise was coming from the closed door.She stood there for a moment trying to decide if she should open the door.

Val was half way to her dorm, her expression stormy, when she heard the music. It was true that it was barely within hearing range, but she was hearing it in her mind. She stopped and listened, and then made her way to the room she had been shown. She pulled open the door a little bit and peered in; she could see three people, two younger boys around her age and a teacher. One boy was watching the other, a primitive-looking game station in his hand (It just so happened that she had one like it back home; she was guilty of being an extreme dork.) The other boy, the one being watched, must have been the one she had "heard"; he had a guitar craddled in his arms, his fingers coaxing a sweet tune from the strings as he sang softly. She could hear his voice perfectly; in fact, she focused on the words, letting her eyes close. She was too afraid to enter the room, lest she broke the spell that kept him playing, and contented herself with standing in the doorway, her eyes closed as she hummed along unconciously with the music. She was able to ignore the pain caused by her powers, the music soothing away the migraine that attempted to rear its ugly head.

Thomas looked up surprised his notes falling silent and his sweet melody dissappearing. He looked up at the people staring at him and then looked atthe art teacher. She smiled and excused herself from the room and he sighed. "Sorry... I just thought- Never mind... I need to go and start on rearanging my dorm... Sorry for disturbing you all...." Thomas said quietly and unplugged his amp. He had never had people watch him play. It made him feel as if he was weird of something...

Rayne walked up to Thomas and smiled."That was was beautiful."She said in a sweet voice.She was actually surprised when she saw it was Thomas playing.She had never really spoke to him until today but she didn't know he could play something so pretty.Rayne smiled.

Jeremy snapped out of his little trance when the music stopped so suddenly. "Wow, what was that?" He asked, forgetting manners for a moment and walking up to the boy before he could leave and looking closely at the guitar while the small spider scuttled around in his hair. He didn't mean to be so nosy, he just couldn't help it when it came to technology. "How does this thing work?" He asked, reaching out to pluck on of the strings.

Val shook her head when the music stopped, as if there was water in her ear. She considered telling the boy that his music had been beautiful, but shyness suddenly washed over her and she found herself rooted to the spot, tucked halfway behind the door. He's talking to someone anyways, she thought, making an excuse so that her shyness was less embarassing. She stood awkwardly in the doorway, suddenly at a loss for what to do. Should she leave or stay and try to talk to the boy with the game station, or the boy who had been playing the music, or the girl who had been in there before her. She moved a little so that the teacher could leave, and looked down at her feet shyly, her bag clutched to her chest like a life preserver.

"Careful! Sorry... I made it. Be careful please. I combined a bass gutair with a regular electric guitar.. That's why it sounds so different..." Thomas said and let the boy hold it. He turned to Rayne and smiled embaressed. "I wouldn't call it beautiful... It was just a song I wrote.." he said sincerly and gently took back the guitar. He set it gently in his case and took the case in one arm and his amp in the other. He looked at the two and smiled. "Oh I totally forgot my manners! I am Thomathious, but call me Thomas. And you are?" Thomas said extending his hand to the boy that was so intrested in his guitar.

Jeremy took the guitar gingerly and looked it over. It was so much more advanced than any of the simple wooden instruments he was used to. He handed back the guitar after looking at it and smiled slightly at the boy. "Nice to meet you Thomas." He said politely, shaking the guy's hand as the little spider burrowed into his hair. He looked quickly at the watch that he had gotten shortly after running away and started. "Oh crap, I gotta go." He said, jumping up and walking quickly out the door and towards the school entrance, shaking his head and muttering about being late.

Rayne watched as the strange boy ran out of the room.She looked back at Thomas and smiled."Well I thought it was lovely."She said with a small smile.She never knew he could be this..interesting.Maybe that why she always saw girls hanging on him all hours of the day.She chuckled at the thought.

"and what's so funny? I know my playing was the greatest but it wasn't funny." Thomas said good naturaly and walked up to her. He looked into her eyes from behind his shades and smiled. He could smell a beautiful scent comming off of her skin and it made his senses stand on end. The scent was intosicating to him and he shook his head slightly to clear his head.

Rayne snapped back to reality when she heard Thomas talking to her.
"Oh it was nothing about you playing.I was just thinking about something amusing that's all."She said with a a smile.Rayne pushed her hair out of her face and looked back at Thomas.

Thomas smiled mischieviously and raise an eyebrow. "But it was about me." he said. He wasn't asking, he knew. He smiled at her and looked into her eyes. They where extremely beautiful. But his smile faded as he realized that she was probibly thinking about how wierd he was. "Ill see you Rayne." he said quietly and walked past her and started down the hall.

Rayne watched as Thomas walked away from her.She sighed and shook her head."Some how I always make people run from me."She said to herself.Rayne looked around the room and suddenly ran out of the room rushing down the hall pushing anyone in her way.Rayne pushed open the school doors and ran out onto the school grounds.She growled at herself and suddenly two large balls of air appeared in both hands.She shook her head and gripped her hands making the balls of air disappear.She sat down on the grass and closed her eyes.

Thomas was startled by Rayne's sudden rampage out of the school. I must've done something wrong... I must've angered her... Or offened her... I have to make it up to her... he thought and retreated into his dorm as the girls spotted him. He slamed the door just in time and swore. "there's no way in hell i'll be able to get out alive today...." he said quietly and could here the girls banging on the door. He swore quietly and began creating another song as he layed on his bed. Soon he had words and was quietly strumming on his quitar.

Rayne pulled her head looking around.She suddenly heard the familiar noise only the rhythm was different.She knew that it was Thomas most likely playing his songs again.She pushed the hair out of her eyes and rolled her eyes.Rayne then sighed.She kinda felt childish for acting that way she just felt like she said something stupid or pushed him away.Rayne felt like she should go apologize.She stood up from the ground and walked back 9into the school and traveled down the halls following the song of his guitar.Rayne finally found a dorm surrounded by girls.She shook her head and leaned against the wall.She was trying to figure out how to apologize.

"That thing was so cool." Jeremy mumbled, taking out a small note pad and writing down all the details about the instrument as he walked back out onto the school grounds. He smiled at the shy girl clutching her books as he passed her on his way out. Looking around, he finally found what he had been searching for. The two chipmunks that had taken shelter in his cloak during the rain came running up to him, chattering furiously. "You lost all of them?" He asked with a small frown and looked around the field. "Well then, we better get you some more." He smiled and plucked an acorn off the ground and handed it to one of the small rodents. This of course prompted a campus wide search between Jeremy and the two chipmunks for more of the little acorns.

Thomas couldn't hear anymore girls out his door and dared to look out his door. That was a horrible mistake because as soon as he did the girls dragged him out of his dorm and surrounded him chatting up a storm. Then one brave girl walked up to him and wrapped herself arm his arm and looked into his eyes. He hated this girl the most, she was the slut orthe school and he knew it. "Thomas, go out with me." she said bravely and he recoiled from her hold in discust. "No, i'm sorry but I like someone else...." he said and backed up as all the girls slowly advanced towards him. He saw Rayne and got an idea. He grabbed her around the waste and whispered,"Sorry." he kissed her quickly on the lips and the girls then retreated from him down the halls outraged.

Rayne pushed Thomas away and coughed.She looked up at Thomas and shook her head."W-what the hell did you do that for! I came up here to apoligize for being childish but you..."Rayne growled and turned away and quickly walked down the hall.She turned the corner and leaned against the wall.Rayne rolled her eyes and sat down in the hall.
