What do you get when you cross a blind boy with a god complex,a psychotic mass murderer with a headless teddy bear and a female with demonic intentions? You get Mikan's troop of Serpents,the West side group from the War of the Worlds,and no,not the movie,the real war,the one with bombs that mutated and killed and blessed people of all races,most people were colored the same,the same dark blue color,except for those who was in her nation-in the United States.She listened to the bombs of the nightly terror war ring outside her underground home,it was dark,damp and so on.She was never used to it and often didnt get any sleep,but this didnt bother her as she heard the boys arguing and Teddy came in with his headless bear,tapping her."Mikan....I had a good dream,can I sleep with you?"
She smiled and opened the covers."Come on."
Morning came too quickly with the options of either gathering food,weapons or water.This meant risking lives and limbs for survival again.This meant getting them all up and then heading to the surface.

Kry grunted lightly. He hated the surface and he hated the underground. He wrinkled his nose a bit as he moved along the surface. Slowly, cautiously. There were scars on his arms and back, a lesson in caution that he had learned well. His violet colored eyes darted this way and that..he wasn't sure who's territory he was in now, but he didn't really seem to care. He had spent the night in a hole somewhere and now here he was, sneaking around on the surface looking for food. Or an edible animal that wouldn't eat him first. He licked his lips slightly and sighed wistfully.

Of course, he had learned to be cautious, but he had refused to arm himself with a weapon of any kind...though of course, having a weapon didn't mean that he knew how to use it..and having a weapon but not the knowledge of how to use it properly was the same has having no weapon...besides..it was less stuff he would have to carry. On a strap over his shoulder was a canteen and it was filled with fresh water. Slung over his other shoulder was a small pack, there wasn't much in it. Some pretty stones, some nice beads and some clothing..things that maybe he could sell for food..assuming he found some friendly people.

Mirage moved carefully across the surface. She had to be careful to avoid any sudden movements, lest she disturb a beast hidden from her sights. She slid from shelter to shelter, scanning the area for anything that could be useful for her survival. A lonely life, but it was all she had. She paused. There was a good streatch of open ground ahead of her. She hated open areas. No place to take cover. She drew a deep breath. Here I go... She darted out, instinctively using after-images to confuse any watching predators. She heard a beast snarl, rush out, and tackle an image. By the time it realized its pounce was a miss, Mirage had darted into cover again. Gasping, she decided to lay low for bit... until the hunter had given up. She watched it scan and sniff for her and kept her staff ready, should he come for her.

Kronus wanderd the wasteland. The huntig hadn't been going so well. He tried to shoot a deer, but a pack of dogs got to it first. Kronus finaly came across an old supermarket. It had been picked clean, but there were still some canned goods left. Kronus decided to set up camp in the supermarket, for it was the fist time he had slept inside in days.

Kry had found a slight shelter..okay..so it really wasn't a shelter at all. He was resting in the shade of a crumbling building. He wasn't sure what the building had been at one time..right now. It was comfortable to sit against. He drank a few sips of water from his canteen. He would have to conserve it carefully until he found some water to refill it with.

He let out a long, overly dramatic sigh. He hated this, it was too hard to get food and water and everything that moved seemed to enjoy targeting him. Though things had remained uneventful for awhile, that didn't mean they would stay that way for very long.

Kronus awoke the next morning. He gathered his supplies and continued on the move. He had heard of a shanty town nearby, and figured it would be a good place to trade. Along the way, Kronus found a dead traveler. Kronus checked his body, and was able to find some water bottles. The guy definitly wasn't going to need them anymore.

Mirage walked freely through the early morning. Most predators didn't hunt around this time, but she kept her guard up just the same. She wandered from abandoned shack to shotty buildings, all the while looking for signs of anything she could use. After awhile she began to notice signs of recent human traffic. Interesting...I should investigate. She began tracking down the people who had been there before.

People who had been there? Kry was still there, or nearby at least. He didn't seem too worried about predators or hostile people...infact. He had managed to catch some kind of creature for a meal. It didn't matter what the creature was..all that mattered was that it's fur had been burned away and it's meat was roasting very nicely over a fire that Kry was controlling.

Mirage stopped for a break, resting happily on what used to be a car. She stared lazily up into the sky, longing to be back home. I think I'll make a trip back to the den. Make sure everything is ok. She dug out her canteen and sipped on a bit of water. Standing, she continued her journey.

Kronus continued walking the damged streets. It was getting dark, and he needed to find shelter fast. Everyone knows that the preadators come out to feed at night. It was then that Kronus saw a fire in the distance. He decided to investigate. When he got closer, he saw a young boy contoling a fire.

He heard something? No..there was no sound except the popping of the fire. He felt something..as if he were being watched. He looked up, his eyes dancing this way and that before landing on the youngman watching him.

Kry smiled, the meat was done roasting anyway. There were two large hunks of meat with a sharpened stick through them, they had been propped up over the fire. He had meant to eat both of them..he was ravenous. But..He picked up one of the sticks and held it towards the young man.

"Hungry?"

Kitty stretched out on the roof of one nameless half destroyed building. The last few rays of sun were still in the sky and it was the final warning to all humans still alive. The night now belonged to beast that didn’t care either way what you were as long as they could eat you. Standing up she checked to make sure her two guns were secure in their shoulder holsters. She pulled her long white hair into a high pony tail and looked out at the world. It was a semi fitting end you could say, if you were in to that poetic justice thing. For years humanity had abused earth and the other creatures on it, and now humanity was slowly being picked off. She gave a non concerned shrug and summoned a piece of rock up to the roof level. Justice or not Kitty had no plan on dying anytime soon. Letting combat boot clad feet step on the hovering earth heading back to the destroyed building she had found earlier that day.

Mirage watched the sun sink down low. As its last rays began to disappear she heard the hunters stir. A small smile touched her lips. She was in one of her moods tonight, and she pitied the first beast to cross her path. Stowing her staff away where only she could find it again, she now carried her blades. The twin blades her father had reconstructed from old books he'd found, she and her brother had perfected. Her smile had turned into a grin. Playtime.

"Thank you" Kronus said to Kry. He sat down next to him and sank his teeth into the suculent meat. As a way of saying thank you, Kronus ave Kry one of his bottles of water.

He grinned widely when the food was accepted, the fire went down some, but he didn't allow it to fully go out. He ate his own piece of meat, and gratefully accepted the bottle of water.

"Your the first person I've seen in a few days."

Something smelled really good, though since Kitty had failed to eat anything that day anything would have smelt good. Lowering the piece of earth a few feet away from where the smell was coming from, she slumped to the ground for a moment. It took a lost out of her move earth through the air and it was worst when she hadn’t eaten. Taking out her Glock she made sure there was a bullet in the camber and flicked the safety off. It was an old gun and ammo for it was rare to find but she was hungry and as much as she hated the thought of taking by force, one did what one must. Quickly turning the corner she came face to face with the two men and leveled her gun at the head of the red head.’ Shit two guys vs. one girl’ kitty cursed. Her stomach gave an angry growl, ‘that’s right food.’ She reminded herself.
“ Mind handing that over, gentlemen?” she tried to keep her voice threatening but the smell was really starting to remind her that it had been sometime since her last meal. And that hadn’t been much. She really sucked at hunting.

Kry was on his feet in a matter of moments, when the girl came 'round the corner' so to speak. Ignoring the gun in her hands completely, he smiled brightly at her. "Your just in time for supper. There isn't much, but you can have the rest of mine." He held out the half eaten meat on a stick to her. "I don't mind sharing, and things would go smoother if we all cooperated with each other, instead of fighting amongst ourselves...I mean..We already have enough problems fighting against the monsters that roam around. Besides. We're more likely to survive if theres more of us working together and helping each other out...right." He tilted his head to the side cutely and smiled sweetly. Still holding the meat out to her.

Kronus sent out a small eletric bolt fromhis hand. It struck Kitty's gun and knocked it to the ground. "There is no need for violence right now" Kronus said. He offered Kitty his bottle of water. "Come and have something to eat."

Kitty left hand instantly grabbed her Desert Eagle and bent down to pick up the fallen gun. She placing both guns back in their proper place she cautiously took the bottle of water. It wasn’t that she hadn’t run into other humans before it’s just rouges like these guys always tended to be bad news. Taking a slowly sip she studied the ground. If need be she could try to bury them if they started trouble, though she doubted she had the strength. “Thanks?” she hated that it came out as a question. “Sorry about the whole pulling a gun on you thing, but hey a girls got to eat right?”

"I understand" Kronus said, taking another bite of the meat. "You can't be too careful. When people are trying to survive, they'll do anything."

She watched as he ate and nodded, taking a bite of her own food. “ god this is good.” She had learned a long time ago that though she had no issue killing things, infract she was kinda good at it, cooking was not one of her strong points. Anytime she tried to turn a fresh kill into food it always ended up as something only the starving would eat. Which was o.k. because almost everyone was starving now. “ I wish I could cook this good.”
