Kennedy set her punch on the table and stared at her shoes. She leaned back in her chair and sighed. It would be a long night if she didn't do something, which she knew perfectly well, but whether she would acknowledge it or not was different.

Spica didn't get a response from the quiet girl but shrugged it off. Maybe she didn't hear him over the sounds of the other students. He resumed his search for Akira again but it seemed like the gym had gotten even more crowded in the past few minutes. It was then that he was called by a friend to join him at a busy table. He sat with them but only listened quietly to their energetic conversations. His mind was still on looking for Akira. Then he noticed a red haired angel sitting at the table next to theirs. The werewolf recognized her as a classmate from Art class. Since she was an angel, Spica decided to ask her about Akira's whereabouts. "Excuse me, Kennedy right? Do you know Akira Maboroshi?"

Akira grinned. "Really? Thanks! I'm a student here.... In my spare time, I'm either in my dorm reading, drawing, or playing my guitar," she said, laughing a little. "I like your name too, Mia. It sounds like a perfume or something!" she said, smiling wide.

"Thanks," she said, blushing at Akira's compliment.

Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, Mia glimpsed a flutter of white wings. Could it be that girl she'd met at the coffee shop a couple weeks ago? She had been so nice... She smiled at Akira.

"Do you think we could go over to that table for a bit? I think there's someone I know over there..." She stood up and pointed toward the other end of the room. Sure enough, there was Kennedy! "Come on!" she giggled, grabbing Akira gently by the wrist. This might have been normal for an outgoing girl, but for Mia, it was completely odd... She was having the time of her life!

Kennedy, still distracted by her shoes, heard Spica and looked up. "Huh? Oh...no, I don't. Sorry I couldn't help you." she said as a small grin grew on her face. She was happy that somebody had talked to her.

Amaya giggled as she was pulled by her wrist, and when she saw Spica, she blushed a little, but didn't protest. "Slow down!!" she said, laughing a little as she tried to keep up.

Lorrina smiled, a winter ball might be fun she thought its a good thing I brought a formal dress with me just in case she thought in relief. Lorrina walked over to her wardrobe and pulled out a dark purple dress with layers of gauze over the skirt and she put it on and a silver necklace which she fastened around her neck, she pulled out a pair of black high heels and put them on.

Lorrina walked out of the dorms and headed over to where the ball was being held. She entered the building and looked in awe at the winter themed decorations. I wonder what I should do now she thought as she walked over to an unoccupied table and sat down.

"No problem." he said with a smile. "I'm sure she's around here somewhere. Nice dress by the way." He looked at the classy spring green gown from necklace to hemline. "It suits you." Just then, he noticed another cat-eared girl approaching the table. Spica was glad to see that the starry eyed angel was with her. "Hey." he said waving to Akira. At an empty table nearby, a silver haired girl in a dark blue gown took a seat.

((I already made him, his name will actually be Nathan, after Nethuns, the name of the sea-god in Etruscan... For some reason, Poseidon and Neptune don't exactly make great modern names! XD Anyway, I submitted the form to Spirit, so I'm just waiting for her to give me the OK!))

"I should save my energy." Kennedy said, lying through her teeth. She smiled up at them. "Go ahead without me."

Cassidy mouth fell open as he looked at Diana's outfit. "Oh ... hey, I like your ... outfit," he said between chuckles. "You look cute, well more than cute. Astonishing is the word I'm looking for." He slapped his hand over his mouth as he stammered and didn't want to embarrass himself any further. He stuck out his hand for her to take hold off. "You ready to go ... sweetheart?" He was nervous as always, but the pressure of the dance was making it heavier.

Daniel woke up after a particularly stressful night. Groggily he stood up and lurched to his closet, opening the door to his wardrobe with a resounding bang and slipping on a particularly casual outfit, especially one for a teacher. A white long-sleeved shirt layered under a black T-shirt with the words 'Death Magnetic' on it, and a pair of black pants with white heart outlines scattered across the surface. He was just slipping on a pair of black shoes when he noticed a flyer under the door in his room. He picked it up and read it, a sinking feeling in his stomach; a dance. He HATED dances, they were the one thing that no matter how hard he tried, he could never be more than awful at. Even worse, he couldn't take Auria because he didn't want to risk anybody finding out. So he dejectedly put the flyer back on the table next to the adorable stuffed cat he had bought for her--he really must give it to her sometime, he thought--and resignedly plopped back down of his comfortable bed, trying to decide what to do that day.

Diana laughed and took his hand and pulled him along as they headed for the dance. She wasnt wearing a lipring tonight but her tattoos stuck out starkly on her pale skin. "Thanks, your suit is...interesting" she said with a light laugh. She sensed his nervousness and she stopped turning to look at him, "You okay? you seem....nervous?" she asked studying his face while pushing her purple bangs out of her face.

Lorrina noticed all the other students who were coming in, I hope I don't run into a vampire she thought nervously. Lorrina got up out of her seat and walked over to a table where they were serving drinks, she picked up a glass of mineral water, walked over to her table again , sat down and started to drink it. There was a group of students at another table, she watched them in interest.

"I'm good." he replied with a grin on his face. "Akira, you look stunning. You should wear that every day." He couldn't seem to keep his eyes off the angel. Her lovely light blue gown complemented her. The light chiffon reminded him of clouds in the sky. The night sky in fact, lit by a full moon. She was his lunar goddess. Getting up from his seat he took her hand in his and leaned close to her ear. "Would you like to dance?" he asked in a low voice before pulling his head back and meeting her deep blue eyes.

Cassidy looked down at his tux and smiled sheepishly, I don't think it's in the best condition especially with me hunching over like this." When she stopped him, he stared at her blankly and broke the silence, "Well, yeah I'm fine. Besides the fact that I have this ragged old thing, my posture is horrible and I have an amazing girl for a date." He smiled, squeezing her hand gently and stroking it with his thumb. He cleared his throat and said jubilantly, "Anyway, lets not have my demeanor detour us from having a good tonight together." With this, he made his way down the hall, following the music. Once he found the source, he walked in with his head held high and howled loudly. His eyes widened after he finished and hung his head to hide his shame. "I'm sorry, Di. I'm just an embarrassment to you."

"Im not that amazing" she told him honestly. When he howled she backed up a bit but when she saw his shame filled expression she just pulled him closer to her and kissed him, "No your not, if anything you bring out a somewhat nicer me" she laughed and pulled on his hand, she looked at a girl by the beverages and she seemed ill at ease, diana wondered why but she didnt go ask. She looked at Cassidy, "What now?"

Nathan arrived at the school in a long, black limousine. He wore a new black tuxedo. This was where she went, huh? he thought to himself as he stared up at the school looming in front of him in the night.

He snapped his fingers at a servant he'd brought with him; a lowly imp. "Bring my things to my room, and set them up the way I want them," he said to her, not even bothering to look her in the eyes. Then his gaze softened. "You do know how I want them set up... right?" he asked her, a bit playfully. If there was anything in the world that Nathan Cronos liked more than American-Chinese food, it was manipulating people. To him, everyone else that populated these muddy, dense sections of the planet were low-lives, creatures too incompetent to grasp the true power of the sea.

He sighed, lost in thought. He squared his shoulders and walked into the ballroom.

He noticed a large group of people having fun in a corner, and noticed that his sister was there. Mia, he thought, almost wistfully. But then he returned to his usual cool, brooding anger. It was she who he wanted to destroy, he reminded himself. She had abandoned him, abandoned his whole family, when she went to live on Earth. He certainly had no intention of causing her physical harm, though. That wasn't his style at all...

He noticed a pretty girl with silver hair wearing a dark blue dress, sitting all alone. ((That's you, Lorrina!)) His lips twitched with a slight smile. What fun... he thought.

He walked up to her casually. "Why are you sitting all alone?" he asked, concerned. His bright green eyes looked deeply into her icy blue ones. "Are you lonely?"
