[[ah, I just found out I completely forgot to subscribe to this thread...I'll try to catch up now >.<]]
EDIT:: Keiichiro lifted his head and blinked, he had fallen asleep in the empty classroom. He groaned lightly before standing to his feet and stretching. Then, leaving his stuff on the desk, he left the room to explore the rest of the grounds. It was only after he walked out the front doors did he remember that there was snow covering the ground and that the weather outside would be really cold. Of course this came a moment to late. He shivered slightly as a cold wind nipped at his exposed skin. He had on a t-shirt under the vest tailcoat and a pair of black jeans on, the chains on his outfit were also freezing now, cold against the skin they touched. A few moments later though, it was as if the cold didn't exist, or at least the air around him wasn't cold. Though his converses would probably soak through if he continued to stand in one place. Keiichiro plodded along, the air around him pleasantly warm, ignoring the other students, many of which were staring at him as they were bundled up in warm clothes and he was...well he was walking around in a t-shirt. His eyes were closed, the music in his ears still playing. He briefly wondered if anyone would talk to him and then shrugged the thought off as he neared the lake. His eyes flew open as he heard a splash and he hurried to the edge of the lake, peering into the depths, searching for the figure of the person he knew had somehow fallen in. When he didn't see them, he jumped in himself, after shedding his tailcoat, as the chains on it would have dragged him down, and his mp3, which he tossed onto a somewhat dryish patch of land. |

Dia sat up, she shivered, "Jeez its cold" she muttered. Standing up she turned, the wind was hitting her back making her blond pig tails fly forward into her face. She pushed it back impatiently before pushing open the door.
Once inside she sighed, "I may as well sleep, no ones gonna miss me and that way if rin comes back to the dorm he wont have to talk to me" She walked slowly to the dorm her converse making hardly any noise as she walked. As soon as she made it to the dorm she pushed open the door and closed it with her hip behind her. Wandering to her bed she curled up on top of it. Moments later she was sleeping. |

(Sorry guys forgive me, with christmas and a vacation in the same week only one day apart and lots of cleaning and stuff to do its been hectic) ^^!
Vane tried climbing out of the lake but all her winter wear, even her snow boots were too heavy for her to get out so she floated even farther down which this lake seemed pretty big or deep to say. Luckily she was good at holding her breaths for a long period of time. but she could only hold it for no more than 2-3 hours depending on how much energy she had. 'Man I have to get used to the cold and this is going to get me sick even if I do get out of here' she thought to herself. 'Hey wait, whats that noise' she heard a melody from below her and when she looked below there were skeletons and the dead. Luckily she wasn't afraid of them but for some reason they were reaching out to her, so she swam towards them going down even farther trying to reach them just to know what they wanted. 'What do you want?' She asked in her head hoping they could or would be able to hear her. 'We want you' they said and then everything went dark even though her eyes were open. (sorry I like a small twist to interest the story more every now and then when it seems dead) Everyone in the academy could hear the cries, whispers, and screams of several souls but couldn't find the main point to anything of where it might come from. |
Keiichiro finally spotted the girl when he saw the disturbance in the water. He swam towards her and then saw the skeletons and decaying bodies wrapping their hands around her. his hands flew forwards instantly and the bubbles he had caused with his movements burst, becoming air that sliced through the water and towards the skeletons and bodies. He quickly grabbed the girl and started back for the surface. He took a gasp of air when his head broke the surface of the lake and then quickly pushed the girl onto the shore before ducking under again, something pulling on his leg. He peered through the water and then realized a skeleton had wrapped itself around his leg. He slashed at it furiously with air blades but nothing worked.

Genie sat at the windowsill, absentmindedly twirling a strand of hair between her fingers, when splashing from the lake caught her eye. She jerked upward, stunned. Is someone.....drowning out there? The girl pushed herself from the seat, grabbed her coat from the bed and whizzed out the door into the empty hallway. She pulled the warm extra layer over herself and sprinted down the staircase, her boots clunking every step. "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh," Genie muttered to herself, her dark blond hair flying behind her as she hit the last step and reached the door. She paused and turned the knob, opening the door with a flourish. On the edge of the lake a girl was gasping for breath. Genie ran towards her. "Are...are you okay?" She asked, kneeling down besides her. She looked behind the girl, towards the lake. A boy, she guessed by the hair, was still in there, splashing helplessly. Genie gulped, and peeled off her boots and coat tentatively before diving headfirst into the murky water towards the boy. She swam towards him, and dived under to untie whatever was keeping him submerging towards his death. Genie jerked back in surprise. Skeletons!? What am I supposed to do about that? My powers won't work underwater!

Keiichiro's eyes flew open at the second splash and he found himself staring at another girl. He jerked his head up and mimicked pulling, maybe if she could pull him out of the water, at least a little bit, he could get enough air to make a big enough swipe at the enchanted skeletons.

Vane looked to the kids under the water and then stood up thinking this has to end. Vane started chanting as more skeletons came up from under the water and took the other skeleton back with them as the boy was set free. Then Vane did her best to form an air bubble around the two bringing them up to the surface and on the land. She then fell to her knees catching her breath, not used to using any magic since a long time. "Are you guys...okay?" She asked the two trying to catch her breath. |
"Yea...maybe a bit weirded out..." Keiichiro murmured and then backed up a bit from the two. It was freezing now that his clothes were drenched. It took a moment before a warm wind ruffled his hair and soon his clothes were dry again. "Thanks." he muttered and then grabbed his vest and mp3, trying to decide whether or not to leave.

Genie huffed, coughing up a bit of the disgusting lake water onto the ground. She looked to the girl and smiled softly. "T-thank you," Genie managed at last to find her voice. The two teenagers were good-looking kids. She looked solemnly up to the boy. "I'm sorry I couldn't do anything for you," she confessed. "Once I got out there, well......let's say when I dived in I hadn't thought that far quite yet." Genie smiled sadly, blushing. She brought a hand to her head, rubbing the back of her skull. Genie let the hand fall when she realized she had been shaking uncontrollably. She coughed, and stood up to walk towards the coat she had shed before jumping in to save the boy. Grabbing the coat and her boots off the ground, she walked back to the kids. "I don't think we've made proper introductions yet. The names Genie, Genie Hawthorne." Genie stuck her hand out to the only other standing person, the boy.

Keiichiro stared at the hand, "Keiichiro Shigeaki." He lifted a hand and watched as the wind slowly blew around the two drenched girls, drying them off. "It's fine." He pulled his vest on again and put the mp3 into his pocket, then shifted his weight to his other foot. He didn't know how to act around people who treated him nicely, he wasn't used to it. So refexively his expression changed back into the mask of indifference it usually was.

Genie smiled politely at the boy, cocking her head to the side as the wind blew around them. She looked back at him, grinning. "That was pretty cool," Genie commented and shoved her hands inside her coat pockets. "Got a nick name, something shorter?" She asked him, hoping she hadn't somehow offended him.

Keiichiro tilted his head slightly, pondering, and then a name floated up to him from the depths of his memories, back when he had been in a family with a little girl, he opened his mouth and repeated it, "Kei. You can call me Kei I suppose."

Genie smiled again at him. "Kei.....I can remember that." Genie paused, then laughed and bowed at him. "Very pleased to meet you, Sir Kei," she added, giggling. Genie stopped and looked up at the huge school across from them. "Now," she said, turning back to Kei, "What is there to do around here anyway?" She placed her hands on her hips. "I heard that there's some kind of training gym on the campus, we could head over there and practice?"

Kei shrugged, "I..don't know. I was going to head over to the dark room.."
