The raven narrowed it's beady black eyes, eyeing the forest surrounding the school as a good place to land. She felt her feathers vibrate, her phone had just received a text message. That was fast. The crow landed in a tall tree, and Harlo transformed back into her human self, pulling the phone out of her pocket.

New Message flashed across the screen. She pressed the OK button, then frowned as she read the pixels. She slid the phone up and tapped the buttons rapidly until Hey formed on her screen. Pressing OK once more, an icon popped up of an envelope. After a few seconds a little globe popped up and the words Message Delivered flashed across the screen. Harlo slid her phone shut and pocketed it.

The lime green haired girl transformed into a cheetah and lay on the branch, arms and legs dangling, eyes closed. She wasn't entirely sure how she felt about the situation, though she knew she felt guilty. Perhaps befriending the boy would make her feel not as bad about playing him.

As the male stood there, thoughts whirled through his head. What did she want, was one of them. While it might have been mean and rude to think such a think about the girl, who'd ( apart from actually being a girl, and letting him believe that ) really done nothing to him that should cause him to be mean towards her, the male wasn't sure. He just really, really wasn't. This was Luthien's ' first time ' at a school like this, and he wasn't sure if he'd be able to take a lot of events like this. The male was used to people lying to him or pretending they were something they weren't, but in this situation - the beagle/girl wasn't entirely in the wrong, as he knew the type of school this was, as well as what some of the students who attended said school might be able to do. He'd let himself fall into it, so he was as much to blame for what had happened and how he felt now, as anyone else could have been.

Shaking his head, Luthien looked down at the phone as the girl's message appeared on the screen, which was one of the flaws with the phone ( in spite of how expensive it had been when it had first come out ). The male stared at it for a moment and furrowed his brows. Luthien had no clue what to say now, and so, he slid the the screen on the phone to it's former position, pocketed it, and took off back to the school in a half jog / half run.

Once he was at the school, Luthien took the phone from his pocket and went inside, heading towards his dorm. His gaze would flick between the hallways and his phone, to make sure he was going the right way. The male took a deep breathe before shaking his head and typing. ' So uh. . ' What to say? ' Can you change into any sort of animal . . or what? ' With the extended dots and all, the male sent the message and moved off to his dorm. The door was open, so he let himself in, just glancing around before making his way through and onto his bed, earlier claimed.

The male stretched out and made himself comfortable, slipping out of his jacket while waiting for a reply. What else could the male have said? If one didn't think it was possible to be awkward, or feel awkward, over a text message - they would be quite wrong.

The smell of smoke brought Diana back to the waking world. She snapped her eyes open and looked at the blanket, it had five finger sized holes that were slowly growing bigger from bright red embers. She ripped the blanket off of the bed and ran to the bathroom, she threw it into the bath tub and turned on the water. Once she was sure it wasnt going to start on fire she took it and draped it over the top of the shower. Yawning she decided to go for a walk again. Peeking out the door she opened it once she knew no one was there.

Jeffery begins singing anything that comes to his mind as he's putting away his clothes and rearranging the place to suit his tastes. "Hm, hmm hmm, it's alright, there comes a time. Got no patience to search for peace of mind. Layin' low, want to take it slow, no more hidin' or disguisin' truths I've sold." His singing voice is beautiful, almost enchanting to anyone who would hear it. He starts moving his dresser over to the foot of his bed, putting little to no effort into it but still being able to move it just fine.

Diana was walking down the hallway when she heard singing, she stopped and listened to it. While she did she made small fire butterflies, keeping control on them so they didnt set something on fire. She glance around the hallway, she shook her head and continued walking. She shivered and then ran to her room and found a sweatshirt, then walked out and closed the door after checking to make sure none of the fire-butterflies werent inside.

Miyuku had finally found her room she gave a sigh of relief. "Finally!!" she said gleefully giggling to herself. She put her bag down and took out a key and unlocked the door, she stepped inside and sniffed the room making a slight face. Then she took out her cell phone and flipped to her brothers number she had forgotten to tell him that she was safe and sound and in the school. She set down her things on the bed and started to rearrange things as she chatted away with her brother.

The cheetah frowned, feeling it's hip vibrate once more. Harlo transformed, lying awkwardly on the branch and checked her phone. Closing her eyes, Harlo felt large eagle wings grow out of her back. She stood shakily before falling out of the tree. A split second later she began to beat her wings, a process which had taken a while to master, and she extracted her phone from her pocket.

Yeah, she typed, grasping her phone tightly so as not to drop it. Pretty much. I can do half transofrmations and talk when in animal form too. she paused, setting her sights on the roof of the school as she sped through the air. What about you, what's your 'talent'? She clicked OK and the familiar text flashed on her screen.

Genie walked in Kei's footsteps, and tried very hard not to think about what she had done to him before. Had she hurt him much? Genie wondered and bit her lip, a habit she had formed when she was a small child. She wondered if the way he was acting was normal for him, she guessed so, and wouldn't question it out loud in fear he would do the same to her.

When they finally reached the room Kei let go of Genie's hand and moved to the back of the room to look at the prints hanging there. Or at least that's what it looked like he was doing. In truth he had closed his eyes to keep from wincing in pain. Seemed the shock had some nasty aftereffects...

While waiting for the text, he shifted on his bed, laying so that he was stretched out on his stomach. Kicking off his shoes, always taught to take them off before clambering onto the bed ( actually, before walking into the house, but this wasn't his home, this wasn't somewhere he felt absolutely and perfectly comfortable with, but it would within time he was sure, so the thought had perhaps slipped his mind - as it also tended to do when he was excited or some such thing ), the male let his legs fall onto the bed again and rest on his pillow, the black fabric covered item soft and plush. He had three on his bed, unable to sleep with just one. While Luthien would not admit it, he also had a tendency to stuff one under his back when he slept straight and tummy-up. The male, otherwise, woke up to annoying back and shoulder aches.

As he fingered the swirling gold designs on dark black/coal fabric, this comforter his favorite, the male heard the familiar ring of the phone again, and slipped the screen back up, reading the text. He let the words roll through his mind for a moment, wondering just how much good could come from that - and amusement, but Luthien was like that, and doubted that Harlo was. . perhaps the thing before had just been a one time thing, and had been carried away by an animal's supposedly simple minded state of being? - the male didn't quite buy his thoughts, but it eased them a bit. As the female questioned his 'gift', he frowned a bit.

' Nothing like yours, sadly. I think it's kinda cool, to be able to change into all sorts of animals. The sky is your limit, you know? ' The male sighed after a thought, wondering how cliche that might have sounded. Deciding not to rewrite it, he typed on. ' I guess you'd call what I do 'shadow-merging'. It's pretty dull, I know. I can poof from one shadow into another, no matter where it is, though I`ve only ever done it within like, four or five miles before. There's a lot about it I haven't managed to control or work out yet. ' The male nodded, because this was true. He'd almost killed himself time and time again trying to master the ability on his own. Not a good idea, at all.

Genie paused at the doorway, her eyes etched with worry. "I'm sorry, again, for hurting you. Really." The girl walked towards him, placing a hand on his shoulder. She stood beside him, and taking her hand from his shoulder, placed them on the counter and aimlessly fiddled with the edge of a photo.

Diana skipped down the hall, little fire balls following her. She was enjoying her time alone, but she wondered who else lived inside the dorms. She though about burning down the doors but she figured that wouldnt be a good idea. She stopped, seven little fire balls did the same. "Hm...i wonder if i could make a phoenix" she made the fire balls combine. She narrowed her eyes in focus and she made a.......sparrow? She sighed but held out her finger for the sparrow to land on. She looked at it, it was cute she guess, she flicked her finger and the bird took flight, making circles around the girl.

Harlo lay on the roof, the hundreds of thousand of bits of gravel poking into her back. Harlo found it somewhat comforting, it gave her somthing to feel, and she found pain helped her concentrate. Her stomach was facing the sun, though her eyes were shelided from it's powerful rays as her head was in the shadow of a generator. She felt her phone vibrate, dancing around on her forehead where she had left it, and reached up for it. She knocked it clumsily onto the gravel and rolled over to reach it before pulling herself up into a cross legged position (or, as she had learned it, kindergarden style.)

The shapeshifter flicked open the phone, scanning her icy blue eyes against the pixelated words. She, once again, chewed on the inside of her cheek, a habit that was becoming increasingly worse. Processing the words a sentence at a time, she typed back ' So you can pretty much teleport? That's awesome. ' She wasn't sure if she fully grasped the shadowmerging concept, but she sent the text message nevertheless. A few seconds later, she heard the phone vibrate, or so she thought. In reality, it was her stomach grumbling.

Jeez, Harlo muttered as she stood, brushing off gravel frm her back and legs. he stood at the edge of the roof, letting her toes hang out in the abyss, and fell forward. A second or two before hitting the ground, she transformed into an eagle and swooped upwards, landing on the flagpole. She examined the school form up high, deciding the entrance closest to the cafeteria. She swooped towards it, transforming into a human. harlo fell a few feet before landing, knees bent, and marching causally inside.

Kei opened his eyes and turned them to the side, "I told you, I'm fine." This girl...worried to much. It threw his guard off, he needed some time to go and collect his thoughts. "Hey...I forgot my books in one of the classrooms, do you mind if I go get them?"

Miyuku flipped open her phone and decided to text Rin. 'Hey Rin? Is there a beach near by somewhere? I really wanna go see a sunset' she texted him. She Slipped the phone back into herbpants and headed out of the room to the cafeteria she was famished, her stomach as if silently supporting her idea to eat. She closed her eyes trying to recall where the cafeteria was, "darn" she muttered then her eyes flashed open and she remebered she walked towards the cafeteria and lightly pulled the door peeking in she went to stand in the que. She waited for her turn and grabbed an apple when it was her turn finally and she bit into t happily munching away. She left the cafe to go outsideand get a breath of fresh air, she stretched out her body yawin lightly the air felt cool and nice on her skin.

"Mmm..." Rin frowned as his ringer went off, over and over... Seven-seven with a lime will keep me safe, long enough to stop the thought of your embrace inside my head. The lies that I've been fed. Throw it back behind my lips the pain is gone, line `em up and knock `em down the night goes on and on and on to let me cope with this disaster... It repeated three times before Rin sat up and snatched his phone from the bedside table. It was an LG Keybo with a nice, full keyboard. The little enveloped icon was displayed, and he flipped the phone open. New message From Miyuku flashed across the screen. Rin groaned, sitting up. He was shirtless, and just waking up from a nap.

Running a hand through his hair, Rin read the message, before texting back, No, but there's a lake.

The male's expression twisted as he read the new text that popped up on the screen. The male really wasn't sure what to say now. Luthien wasn't quite the person who enjoyed texting people insanely, but rather the sort of person who enjoyed talking face to face with whoever wanted some conversation. He was tempted to haul himself off the bed and dodge back out of the dorm ( in spite of how some might think he was crazy, or insane, or some such similar thing ), and find the girl - but he wasn't sure what his reaction would be, seeing her face to face. Sure, he'd seen her before, but she'd still been a dog to him at first, and it had been a shock.

When you met someone, you judged them by how they looked. It doesn't matter whether people say they do or don't, there's always a moment when someone gets a general grasp of who they think someone is, what they're like. Label them. Luthien would have to do that all over again, would have to be cautious and wary. It wasn't, however, like he judged people, and stuck them in their little boxes. He just used what he saw, what he knew, and how they acted ans perimeters for learning what they were like, learning about who they were, what they did.

Luthien didn't like stepping on toes, at all, and did as much as he could to avoid it ( in most situations ).

Texts could be impersonal while still remaining personal. No matter how odd that might have sounded, it was true. The male, once he'd talked to someone for a while, could generally tell when something was wrong with them by the way they typed, the way their words come out. The structure of their sentences. When he'd been in regular schooling, or at least private school, the male had been intent on pursuing something in the Law degree. Maybe forensics or some such thing, something that had to do with identifying hand writing of people who left notes, or the grammatical structure of things. He would have adored that.

But that was another thing altogether. The male shook his head and started typing again, working into something that he figured anyone would talk about, or ask. Luthien generally didn't meet new people like this, but hey. It worked for now.

' I suppose it is like teleporting, though I wish it was as simple as that.. ' The male blinked at the screen, pouting for a split second before typing again. ' So, how'd you end up at this school? What do you think of it so far? '

Genie's shoulders slumped in a shrug. She nodded at him. "Sure, go ahead. I might as well pop back into my dorm. The plane ride here was horrendous and I might like a nap." Genie smiled.

"I'm...sorry..." Kei whispered before slipping out of the room and down the hall. When he passed by an open window a passing breeze slipped in and ruffled his hair in a comforting manner. A small smile appeared on his face, "Thanks..." he murmured. The breeze seemed to brighten up at that before it blew back out the window.

Her message reciever was an old classic tune, she pulled it out of her pants and smiled at the text 'thanks! Hey umm...mind telling me where to go to get there? And hope I didn't bother you at a bad time :D' she texted back she was now sitting under a tree a book in her hands. She lay her phone beside her on the grass and looked up at the sky, she sighed she missed her brother and her best friend back home she closed her eyes recalling everything...the day she had discovered her powers she had been so scared yet happy.

Her eyes were open and she laughed to herself shaking her head to clear the thoughts. She randomly started singing to herself, it always calmed her down. "A new life....a new begining..." she said muttering to herself. "Good luck Miyuku" she muttered again.

Meanwhile, the man in dorm four was getting restless. The urge was coming back, the uncontrollable urge to exert himself in some way. It was much greater this time than usual, too great to resist. "Must be brought on by moving new schools," he reasons out loud. After he's finished unpacking and moving things around, Jeff takes off his sweatshirt and tosses it on his bed haphazardly. Underneath it he sports a muscle shirt with the words 'Obey Your Master' written on it. He opens the door to his dorm and quickly files out of the building to the outside world, not caring what time it was. And, instinctively, he breaks into a run toward the track at normal speeds. But once he reaches said track, his running speed doubles as he sprints lap after lap around the track, trying to satisfy the urge.

Lan woke up after being asleep for a couple of days, feeling slightly refreshed. He stared at the ceiling quietly for a bit before sitting up and stretching. His feet weren't dangling from over the edge of the bed like they used to. He looked around the room through squinted eyes, it seemed a bit bare to him without any decorations. He stood up and changed his clothes since he was wearing the same clothes that he arrived in. He walked out the room and continued through the corridors until he saw a beam of light burst through a window, which led him to the outside portion of the school. Lan looked around and saw a couple of people out there. He walked over to a bench that was placed under a tree and sat watching the clouds move above him. His voice was gruff, but youthful, "So this is where the students meet? It seems a bit nostalgic, if you ask me. Hm ... I guess the weather forecast is showing it won't rain."

Diana arrived at a door and had to make the bird disappear before it sent something on fire. She pushed the door open and looked around outside. Hmmmm....wonder if theres somewhere that i can mess with fire without setting something or someone on fire. she thought looking around. She ran a hand through her blond hair and hissed when she singed the tips. "Damn...." she muttered.

Kei gathered his books back under his arm and then figured he'd return them to his dorm room. After he got there he dumped his things onto the bed closest to the window and picked up his violin case, slinging it carefully over one shoulder. He pondered for a moment and then threw the windows open to let the breeze dance around him. He looked outside for a bit before deciding to stay inside, placing his case onto his bed before taking the violin out. He quickly tuned it and then played the first melody that came to mind.
