Nate looked at Annalise. "I'm okay." He looked around the small shack, peering in the darkness. "Where are your clothes? I'll get them instead of you going, if you'd like.." He said, raising his eyebrow questioningly. He laid a hand on her shaking arm, patting it a few times. "Nothing'll get you while I'm here."

"No, it's fine..." Anna wanted, more than anything, to be independent for once. But the next noise made her jump into Nate's arms. She buried her face in his shoulder. "I want to do this," she whispered softly into his chest.

Nate chuckled slightly as Annalise jumped into his arms. "Hold on." He set her down and dashed into the shack and felt around for her clothes. After a minute or so he felt them, and grinned, picking them up and walking back to Annalise. He stopped when the light from outside began to fade into the darkness and set her clothes in the shadows, moving back to her. "There you go. At least feel like you accomplished something." He grinned, shifting his weight to his left leg.

{Phew. That was quite a scare!}

"Thanks," said Annalise, blushing a bit. She shivered some more, just because it was getting cold. Her underwear didn't dry as quickly as a bathing suit would have, and the wet sand wasn't helping. She put on her clothes, but the thin hippie threads weren't really enough to keep her warm. She wanted to hold Nate again... He was warm...

Nate grinned and waited for her to dress in the shadows, kicking at the sand a bit. He made a heart with his toe and put a sloppy "A + N" inside of it, a smile playing on his lips. He heard a noise and kicked at the sand panickingly, hoping she hadn't seen it. "Ready?" He said, picking her up bridal style, walking on the wet sand. "Wow. This would be far more romantic if I wasn't in middle school P.E. shorts." He said quietly, chuckling to himself. He felt a shiver and frowned. "Are you cold?"

Anna shivered again."Yeah," she said. "I'm getting pretty cold." She slid her legs out of his arms, standing on her own again, and nestled her head into his chest. "Hey, Nate?" she asked. "Did you really mean what you said to Tristan earlier?"

Bekki looked around and decided it was too late to surf. She smiled as Tristan and grabbed her board. "Umm..I'm going to go run this inside, want to wait here or come with?" She asked pointing her thumb behind her at her house.

Nate let her down gently, walking slowly as she buried her head in his chest."Well, I have a jacket in my car if you want it. Oh, hmm?" Nate scratched his head. "What I said to Tristan? I don't quite remember. About him not knowing me and to not fucking hit me, let alone touch me?" He knew what she was aiming at, when he said he liked her. But she didn't have to know that he kept thinking about it... They were just words, right?

"Never mind." he clearly hadn't meant it, she could see that. She started walking away. Hopefully Shale would be able to give her a ride home... If not, she didn't know what she'd do. She had to leave, before she started crying.

Nate frowned. "Annalise!" He said, noticing her fast pace. God damnit. He ran to catch up with her, hugging her from behind, not letting her break free. "Annalise, I..." He tightened his grip, feeling a small struggle. "I know.. I did mean it." He turned her towards him, searching her eyes. "God, don't cry on me. You'll break my heart."

Anna smiled, wiping the tears off. She looked up at Nate. The moon was rising, and the few stars that were out glistened above his head. Hesitantly, she cupped the side of his face in the palm of her hand, pulling him closer and looking into his deep blue eyes. "I like you, too," she said softly.

Nate let a faint smile escape to his lips. "Really, now? I could've sworn it was all for show," he joked, wiping her tears off with his thumb. He kissed her forehead and let his grip relax, letting his hand fall to meet hers, his fingers intwining with hers. Looking up he whispered, "The sky is beautiful tonight... Just like a girl I know." He gave a sly wink to Annalise before setting a slow pace. This girl may be the death of me...

Anna stopped walking, holding both of Nate's hands in hers. "You're perfect." She leaned in, letting her lips brush lightly against his for a millisecond. "Thanks for everything - I really mean it." She smiled up at him.

"We don't have to get married right away, We can have as long of an engagement as you want. Please don't cry." He said getting back on the bed and looking at her sadly. "If you don't want to, it's fine, I understand." He said pulling her against him and wiping her tears away.

Rae clutched him to her and shooke her head. "I want to..i want to.." Pulling away she placed both hands on his cheeks and kissed him. "Yes..Yes.." She said as she kissed him over and over. She could deal with a long engagement, thats what made her say yes. As long as they would wait.
