Nate gulped. "White and orange. I got most of the orange stuff out so that it's a color scheme thing. White, orange. White, orange. You know?" Gabrielle smiled. "You should show her." She winked at Annalise, getting up and starting coffee.
Liza grinned. "Thanks.. And yeah, true." She replied with a wink of her own. She heard a noise and looked back at Vyan. She shivered when he whispered in her ear, sort of flinching. "Don't do that to me." she whispered, looking him in the eye. "Because I kinda don't date girls." She motioned to his costume and laughed, seeing his slight blush. |
Shale heard Vyan in the back, but ignored him. Laughing softly when he saw her shiver he shook his head. He was tempted to lean in and say something suggestive, but he didn't. "Not even for a girl this hott?" He asked pointing to himself then touching his arm making a sizzling sound. "I'm so hot in this getup you could fry and egg on me." He grinned looking back at Vyan.
|
Liza grinned. "Nope." She heard him joke about his costume and snorted. "You wish." She said, smiling. "If I wanted to fry the egg, it would come off you hard-boiled." She giggled, covering her mouth with her hand. "I'd rather make pancakes or waffles instead." She looked back at Vyan. "Alright, alright. Are you guys going yet? Or do I need to kicky Vyan?" She smiled devilishly.
|
Vyan rolled his eyes and got out of the car. "Come on you too, keep it Pg-13, we got little kids reading this." He said using a joke he always said when he saw people kissing. Walking around he grabbed Shale's ear and pulled him out.
|
Shale grimaced as he got pulled by the ear. "See ya in a few babe." He grinned with a wink as he got out of the car. Following behind Vyan he groaned. "Why did I have to get dressed up?"
|
Anna blushed when Gabrielle winked at her. "Um, sure..." her voice trailed off. She quickly finished her dinner, watching Nate. He seemed much happier here, much more natural and relaxed.
{Sorry I was eating dinner. :"/ GAH, shortness much?} |
"Cause Shalely my dear friend, remember that movie we watched where those private eye guys dressed as female stripers to get the bad guy? Well...think of that...only no happy ending." He said with a laugh. He knocked on the door and waited for Rae's dad to answer.
|
Nate finished and washed his plate off, waiting for Anna. When she did, his mom took her plate and rinsed it, stacking it on top of the other dishes. He grabbed his glass and nodded to her, taking the stairs two at a time to his room and throwing the door open. "Ta-da," he said, putting his glass on the nightstand and falling back to his bed. "This is where all the magic happens," he teased. "Whatcha think?" He said, looking at her from under his hair. He let the tips of his fingers trail across the lettering on his t-shirt, and his other hand tugged at his shorts. "Ya think I could take a shower? It'll take all of five minutes. If ya want, you can go back and talk to my mom a bit." He said, sitting up.
Liza grinned. "C'mon, Vy. We're not like you and Rae, at least." She laughed, and the guys got out the car. She sighed and turned the radio on again, searching the stations for a good song. |
"Gotchaaa." He laughed quietly as they stood in front of Rae's dad's door.
|
"I wouldn't mind," she said. She went back down the stairs and decided to talk to Gabrielle for a bit.
"Hey," she said. "You need any help clearing the table? Nate's taking a shower..." She shrugged. |
Nate smiled. "Cool." He got up and picked out a pair of boxers and some pj short bottoms with a shirt, heading to the shower. "See ya in a few."
Gabrielle looked up. "Hmm? Oh, no dear. But thanks for asking." She put a nearby pen in the magazine for a place marker. "He left you, did he? I'll have to talk to him about that.." She frowned, and stood up. "One second, dear.." She hopped down the stairs into the downstairs bathroom and in a minute came back up and sat down. A toilet flushed and there was a girlish scream from upstairs as the water got ice-cold. "MOM!" There was a slip and a thud, and moments later a deep red face appeared, peeking from the stairs. "What?" Gabrielle couldn't help but let a giggle out, and she glanced at Annalise. |
{{JESSH!!}}
|
Anna giggled with Gabrielle. "Sorry, Nate," she lied. "I was, you know..." She exchanged glances with Gabrielle.
But she was a terrible liar. She started giggling again. She didn't want to make Nate mad, but she had to admit, it was pretty funny... |
Nate's face got deeper red (if that was possible) and he vanished up the stairs. Gabrielle looked back at Annalise. "Thanks, dear, but he knows me too well." She smiled. "That boy never learns.." She said, hearing a key in the door. She got up and went to the door, opening it and helping her husband in, helping him with the grocery bags. "Who's this little cutsie here?" He said, taking Annalise's hand and kissing it before putting the bags on the counter. "Nate's friend." Gabrielle said, unnecessary emphasis included. "He's a very lucky boy." His father smiled, starting to put the groceries away. "You can call me David, sweetie." The water stopped overhead, and David looked up. "Nate, come help put the groceries up!" He yelled up the stairs, leaning over the counter. Gabrielle just smiled, and Nate trotted down the stairs soon after, hair dripping slowly. "Yeah, yeah." He fiddled with his tongue ring, looking at his parents. "Dad, this is Annalise.. Annalise, that's Dad.. or David, as he might want you to call him." David walked over to his son and put him in a headlock. "Arrgh, let the girl introduce herself!" Gabrielle sighed and sat back with Annalise. "Those boys.."

{They make a great couple. XD}
Anna was a bit overwhelmed at the sudden influx of sound in the house. All of a sudden, it seemed like everyone was talking at once... Though, she wasn't bothered by it - She really liked the way Nate's house sounded full and happy. Not like my house, she thought bitterly. "I'm Annalise... You can just call me Anna, though," she said. She got up and went over to sit on the stairs, next to Nate, who seemed to have forgotten to dry off - His clothes were more or less plastered to his body. "Did you get dressed before you stepped into the shower?" she asked, laughing. |
Nate broke out of his dad's grip, glaring at the older man. He turned to Annalise. "No. I threw the other wet clothes back on real quick because of these two." He sighed and went back upstairs, drying off quickly and pulling his other clothes on, taking the stairs back down. David pulled Gabrielle into a loose embrace, kissing her cheek. "That boy is too much." Gabrielle smiled. "Hopefully she can straighten him out some, then, eh?" She let her forehead fall against his, and they made slow circles. "Get a room. Yuck," Nate said, appearing around the corner.
|
Annalise laughed. "You want to go back upstairs?" she asked. "I still haven't had a chance to look through all of your things and discover your darkest secrets." She raised an eyebrow. "I think your parents are nice," she whispered in his ear. "You have no idea what mine are like..." Anna grimaced, thinking of the silent, formal dinners that so greatly contrasted with Nate's warm family.

Finally deciding that she was calm enough she got out of the water and back to the low tides. Drying off her hands she noticed she had a missed text message. Reading it she smiled while she texted back.
To: Brian She knew the part about Jenny was true but felt that it almost wasn't. When she was in England and Brian visited she almost got a crush on him but didn't get to close to him because he was in America. When she found out she was coming to America she expected to be on the other side of the country but now she's in the same part. So far she had a bitter sweet welcome on her first day in America and her first day in an American school would be the same. She was scared about going to the same school as Brian and even more so with a girl that he liked and possibly dated. She knew that she didn't have a big crush on him but she wasn't sure how it would work out over time. As she messed up her hair with her towel to dry it she sat down and let her feet sit in the water. She was probably going to stay out on the beach til morning, she knew her mom wouldn't worry it was a frequent thing that she did back in England. As she thought of this she remembered that the beach in England was farther away from the house and she usually didn't go during winter. Shrugging the memories away she sighed as she laid back on the rough rock with her towel as a pillow. She looked at her clothes and smiled as she set her phone down on them and made sure they were too close to her for someone to steal. By now the sun was just now starting to fall below the herizon and created a beautiful image of sparkling rainbows on the water surface.From: MariKat That's awesome I can't wait til tomorrow now. And Jenny seems cool I can't wait to meet her. Anyways I can't wait til tomorrow See you then I guess, if we have any of the same classes. |
Mr King was watching T.V on the small set when he heard the knock on the door. A bit confused he got up and placed his crossword puzzle on the couch before heading to the door. When he looked though the peep hole he saw two maids, one obviously a male, he wasnt THAT stupid, but the other seemed feminine enough. Openeing the door he looked at the two. "Ok, so either your drag queens looking to get some, or do you have another explination?" He asked leaning in the doorway.
Mr. King was a year older then Andrea, Raevin's mother, so he was currently 35. He, much like her was very younglooking for his age, which was probably what attracted her to him and vice versa. |
{{That looks like a mugshot.}}
Vyan sighed and pulled his wig off. "Knew this wouldn't work." He muttered pulling the wig of, thankful he hadn't gone for makeup. "Listen, my name is Vyan Lyndell, I'm dating your daughter...no I don't normally dress like this.. I want to talk to you about Raevin." He said shoving the blond wig into his pocket. |
[[it is XD <3333]]
Aaron's eyebrows pulled together in slight worry and moved out of the way letting the two boys in. "You know you didnt have to dress up like this to talk to me, right? Though i appreciate the laugh." He said with a smirk. "I bet Rae would love to see this." He thought of asking for a picture but knew it wasnt his place, plus after the way she blew up at him, he figured she wanted nothing to do with him. He didnt blame her, he wasnt the ideal father to her...or a father at all. |
"Yeah, it seemed like a good idea at the time." Vyan said walking stiffly in the tight dress. He fought the urge to say it was Rae's dress and just laughed at his comment. "So...what I came here to ask was why you left Rae when she was so young..a..and never tried to speak to her, or keep contact?" He asked trying to look tough with a fake wig sticking out of his pockets, and wearing stockings a dress and high hills.
|
Shale groaned as he stood their beside Vyan. Seriously, why was he here. Ripping off the wig he held it in his hand as the two talked. He guessed he was there for emotional support. The blonde stood there beside his friend as he listened to the conversation.
|
The man sighed as he made his way over to the sofa and sat. "Its hard to answer a question, I myself, dont even know the answer too.." Aaron rested his head in his hands for a moment. "I had been told by my friend a few months after Raevin was born that he had slept with her mother, and that the baby might not have been mine." Remembering that far back made the man mentally slap himself. How could he have beleived his friend over her? "Well, I got upset, and i left. I didnt want to suppourt a baby that was never mine in the firstplace. Yet 3 years later, after much rehab my friend Phil admitted that he had lied to me. But by that time i had already met someone else, and was expecting my first baby with her." Looking up at Vyan the man knew he must look like a pathetic excuse for a man. "Since then, there isnt a day that goes by that i dont regret leaving her that day. And once i got a chance to come, i did...but i guess it was too late for forgiveness."
|
Vyan sighed and mentally slapped himself. He had came in guns blaring thinking that this guy was just pathetic and had abandoned Raevin because he didn't want the responsibility..he would have done the same thing in this mans shoes. "Well...I'm sure it would mean a lot to her if you tried to get back in her life...or at least make the effort." He said looking over at Shale hoping for a head nod or something in agreement.
