Howell smiled up at the school. This was the first time he would be in a school who would actuallly accept him for who he was. "OH YEAH!" he shouted as loud as he could punching his fist into the air. He ran into the school looking aroundat everything. He didn't pay attention to where he was going and fell facedown onto the floor. "...OW!" he yelled madly. Howell pushed himself onto his knees and sighed.

Faye Ravendawn sighed as she looked out one of the windows in the school at the wide campus. She had been the first to arrive at the school and experience had taught her that people thought she was weird. She sighed as she watched the birds in the trees and decided she'd join them outside. Opening the window she jumped down, her slit skirt flapping up around her reviling her leather shorts underneath. Her sandals crinkled the ground as she landed her broach had whisked around her neck and her pigtails were starting to tangle. She sighed and sat as the base of a tree with her messenger bag. Quickly she ran her fingers through the tangles making them somewhat better. Sighing she pulled a flute from her bag and began to play a tune she played when she was lonely. The birds soon joined in chirping along. She felt better as she played animals coming over to her. As she finished her song she noticed a boy by the window fall down. She would've gone up to him but the animals all begged for another song. Sighing she ran a finger over her choker and then her single bangle. "One more," She promised in her soft voice as she began again with a different tune.

Howell's ear stood up straight when they caught the sound of a flute. He stood up and looked in that direction. A flute? Is someone here? he asked himself. He jolted towards the sound determined to find who was there. He hid behind a tree when he spotted a girl. He smiled as she played the flute. He saw animals walking towards the girl. He froze mentally. Being neko he was partly animal so he'd be drawn to it. He snapped back to his regular iew of things and found himself pressed up against the side of the girl his head on her shoulder.
"I'm sorry, you just play so...amazingly" he said at a loss for better words. He found himself unable to move physically. Come on get off her you look like an idiot!he yelled to himself.

Faye began to laugh. "Its fine! Thank you for thinking so. I've always loved the flute." She smiled at the other animals who had finished listening and were leaving. "My name if Faye Ravendawn. And you are?" She asked politely as she began to clean her flute, she had no quarrel with him leaning on her shoulder. If anything she found it cute. Her eyes were watching him but her hands were moving on instinct, cleaning her flute. It was something she had been doing for a while so she was quite used to it.

"I am Howell Superior, I'm 18 years old how old are you?" he asked. He had broken out of his trance when she stopped playing the flute. He slid a few centimeters away to give her some space to clean her flute.

"J'Ai 17 ans." Faye said as she finished, putting her flute away. Pulling from her bag a bottle of tea and one of milk. "Would you like one?" She offered looking at him. "Howell was it?" She twisted a finger in her hair her golden eyes flickering around.

"17 huh? So your younger then me? Thats pretty cool" Howell told her smiling. He beamed at the milk. "Uhm can I have the milk?" Howell asked quietly. He stared at the milk as if it were gold. "Yeah Howell" he said dreamily.

Faye laughed and handed him the milk, "no problem." She said as she unscrewed the cap on her tea. A couple of cats wandered over asking her if she'd play another song. She smiled and nodded, "sure." Pulling her flute from her bag she began to play a song, watching as wolves and foxes came from the forest.

"Mm milk" he laughed. He drank the whole things before Faye started to play her flute. Then he became completly hypnotized by it. He purred and leaned up against her again. Again?! No way, this is not happening to me! Howell thought to himself madly.

Faye shook her head and played the song patting his head with her elbow. When the song was over the animals departed, "I'm sorry, when animals ask I can't help but agree."

"It's ok" Howell said dreamily. He was mad at himself for not holding his animal instincts back. He sat up straight and sighed.

Faye shook her head and stuffed her flute into her bag. Sighing she stood and looked down at him. "Hey, whats your dorm number?" She asked, toying with her pendant.

"My dorm...is number 13 I believe...and yours?" Howell asked. He smiled slightly watching her put her flute away. His eyes drifted back up to her face.

Faye looked at him startled. "Thats mine too. Wow." Faye shook her head. "Odd."

"I guess fate is on our side" Howell guessed. He smiled at her. ...I'm sharing a dorm with a girl?! No way! he thought to himself.

Faye rolled her eyes, "more like insanity, and sico teachers." Faye muttered looking down at him.

"Your not happy to be in the same dorm as me?" he asked in a little kid voice and giving her puppy down eye and sticking out his botom lip like he did when he was twelve when he wanted something.

Faye let out a huge laugh, "hardly. I just mean that our teachers are crazy for having a girl and boy dorm together. I don't mind dorming with you at all!" She smiled down at him before glancing up. "But I've got something I have to do." She said muttering a spell that changed her outfit into the one she used to preform rituals and picked up her flute again. "I'll just be playing a ward song, to make sure everything is protected alright. Seeing as I'm paranoid about that stuff." She said, it shouldn't hypnotize you, so if you want to listen..."

"I guess that is kind of physco..., oh go ahead and do whatcha gotta do" Howell told her. He didn't really care about protection. He got away from everything easily.

Faye began the song called the dance of life and fire slipped from her flute, wandering around to check the schools barriers, strengthening it in places and adding her own magic to the spots, as she finished she sighed and blew three sharp notes so she could see the ward. Satisfied she put her flute away.

Howell managed to avoid the trance he tended to fall into while hearing music. He sighed and looked at the sky. He remained sitting on the bench and smiled as a wind blew through his hair.

When Faye finished she placed the flute in her bag and looked at Howell. "I'm gonna go unpack,"

Howell looked up at her and smiled. "Allow me to escort you" Howell told her walking up to her and taking her hand in his.

Faye flashed a grin. "Thanks," she said and brushed her hair from her eyes.
