"I'm Serena... I control the wind" Serena said quietly. She found that her nervous demeanor was being melted away by Kisa's cheerfulness. "Um... what do you like to do for fun?" Serena asked, pushing herself to be social and accepting, no matter how nervous and scared she was.

"Hi Serena!" she said as she took her hand and pulled her into their little circle that they had hoping that the others would except her too. "Wind? That's cool," she told her. "Well, I like reading myself, and fighting but I'm not sure what they like to do. I'm thinking that Lowen likes to mess with his powers for fun, he has even shocked me a couple times. And Miki, well she likes to write, she is really good at it." This was really just a guess but she truly believed that her writings were good. "What about you, Serena?"

This Lowen guy sounds like a prankster... but he can't be that bad. I'll let it slide... but only this time, Serena thought as she observed Miki and Lowen. "Um, well I... like archery. My wind ability makes me really good at it too. And I uh..." Serena said and bent her head down low, embarassed for her next activities "I like to sing and dance" she said very softly, hoping that she wasn't heard, but at the same time hoping she was. People always made fun of her for liking such opposite activites. Dancing and archery don't exactly go together.

"Good lord!" Lowen cried, as he dodged a lightning bolt. "Phew.. at least I was ready this time.." he said, sweat rolling down the back of his head.

He also noticed that Kisa was talking to a new girl.. he decided to walk over, wanting to zap her in greeting, but something told him it probably wasn't the best idea, so he refrained from doing so.

"Greetings, My name is Lowen. and you?" he bowed for a short moment, merely out of courteousy than respect.

Ok, he's got manners, that much is certain, Serena thought. She nodded her head at Lowen, feeling oddly comforted by a custom from her home. "I am Serena. Pleased to make your aquaintance" she said softly.

"Pleased to meet you as well." He extended her hand to shake, smiling. "No intentional shocks, I promise." Lowen half expected her not to shake, she already seemed suspicious of him, no doubt from something Kisa said.

He raised an eyebrow. "just what did you tell her about me anyway?"

Serena found herself smiling at Lowen's jest and shook his hand, she could feel the buzz of the electricity running through him, but she didn't mind. "Well... I suppose one could say that you have an... electrifying personality" she commented, a laugh in her voice. As nervous as she was about new people, she felt calm and comfortable with these people. She believed that they would not harm her as her..... past had.

"Hmm. Clever and a sense of humor. I like you already. Can we keep her?" Lowen teased back, laughing.

"By the way, if you don't like to be shocked tell me now, because who knows what can happen with me.. Alot of people call me a lightning rod.." He looked down embarrassed, blushing very slightly.

"I suppose I wouldn't mind it if it was accidental. However... do it on purpose and I'm..." Serena said, trailing off at the end. She sighed "Let's put it this way, I"m likely to react on instinct and then realize afterwards what I'd done. I don't proclaim myself very competent when it comes to battle, but I do have rather violent reflexes..." she said. She was relaxed, not only by his personality, but by his outward voicing of his approval. Perhaps that one sentence had relaxed her more than anything else. The sense of knowing that she was wanted made her feel safe.

"Alright. I understand." Lowen said, looking her in the eye and smiling. " I don't have any competence when it comes to battle either." he laughed. "But I cause anyone that tries to fight me is just gonna get fried." he shrugs.

He smiled on the inside. She seemed like a sweet girl, maybe just a bit shy. Gee, i hope I don't ever have to pick between these three girls.. that'll be a hard choice..

"A useful gift indeed. You take your frying ability and my sniper skills with a bow and arrow, I pity the life or our enemy" Serena said, a smirk on her face "so, what are your hobbies and interests?" she asked, surprised with how relaxed the electropath made her feel.

Kisa was so glad that Serena and Lowen were getting along but she couldn't help but feel a little nervous about what type of relationship they all were going to have. She did kind of like Lowen but she wouldn't get mad if one of the other girls ended up hooking up with him, that wouldn't make her a very good friend. "Then let's hope no one makes you angry," Kisa laughed sheepishly. She then turned to Serena. "I love singing! but I am awful at it...I would never do it in front of anyone, but I bet you're very good."

" Me? well.. I like to tinker with electronics and machines." he responded, pulling out a small electronic device. "I'm currently trying to turn this into a makeshift walkie-talkie, but so far no luck yet.. I keep frying the batteries by accident.."

"So you like to sing..? I'd like to hear that sometime, if you're okay with that."

"Me?!" Kisa asked surprised and she gave a little blush. "N-no I don't think I could..." she drifted off and then rubbed the back of her neck. She then looked at the little device that he pulled out to show Serena with great interest. "That's really neat," she told him honestly. "I wish I could do something productive like that...I can't make anything..."

Serena's eyes widened in horror as she realized that Kisa had heard her other two activities. She was even more mortified that now Lowen knew about it too... and he wanted to hear her!!! "I... I only sing when I'm alone... and it's not that good anyway. It's just that when I'm alone... I'll find myself humming little tunes to pass the time... and it makes me happy" she said quietly, looking at the ground. When she was little, at the height of all the pain, she used to sing when she was alone and scared, it soothed her. One time her father had heard her... and ever since then she thought that she couldn't sing very well. She shuddered visibly at the memory.

((since it was not clearly spoken, I believe it's safe to assume that it was to the both of us. But whatever the intention, that's the way it turned out :) ))

"Oh, that's alright. I won't force you or anything." Lowen backed off a bit, frowning. "Don't worry, I won't make you do anything that you don't wanna do. I'm not that kinda guy.." he smiled again, trying to appear comforting to her. Obviously she had something that she wasn't telling them..

Serena closed her eyes and took a deep breath. It would not do to remember her past now. Besides, Lowen's intentions were good and harmless... it's not his fault her father was.....stop... focus on the good, Serena thought and opened her eyes. She smiled widely at lowen "I know... thank you for that" she said gently. She focused her mind on the new friends she'd made, knowing they wouldn't ever hurt her intentionally.

Kisa sat down on the grass and put her bag in her lap. She enjoyed listening to there conversation. "I think that you should sing for us," she told her eager to hear her. "That would be awesome, but it's cool if you don't want to, you know." She tugged on both of there pant legs for them to sit down next to her so she wouldn't have to bend her neck to look at them. Lowen was already tall enough when she was standing. "But it seems to hurt you talking about it...does it?"

Lowen laughed, sitting down in the middle of the two. "I'm sure you have a great voice." he complimented.

"Look, Kisa, I'm sorry I'm a bit tall, but that's not my fault." he laughed, trying to change the subject, knowing that Serena was most likely uncomfortable talking about her past.

Serena smiled and sat next to Kisa "Let's just say that I don't have the best of pasts under my belt. I try not to think about it... knowing that I have friends here that like me and want me around, it helps me move on" Serena said solemnly, then her face twisted into a wicked grin "You want me to sing, eh? well I'll strike you a deal. I will sing if you sing with me" she said.

Kisa made a face. "I don't know...my singing my be so bad that it over powers yours or something...we don't want Lowen running away in fear from my singing." she told her with a laugh. "But I do really want to hear you sing...so alright...but I'm going to sing very quietly." She looked up at Lowen and stuck out her tongue. "Don't laugh at me...focus on her." she told him as her face got hot. "Okay," she told Serena.
