Phyn figited when the elderly gentleman kept poping back and forth between them. I'd like to learn to do that stuff too. But I bet that's not something that a fire mage in training could do.... When Merlin popped up behind Lady Chell again, Phyn caught a glimpse into his eyes. He was a very kind but stern man. He made her feel like the time that she had spent the homevisit with her grandfather. He wasn't like the docters. She was willing to learn if Merlin was teaching them. Of course I'm willing to learn if Lady Chell teaches me but it would be more because she scares me then anything else...

Thomas sighed. It wasn't pointless. He had to let someone know. And he knew from experience, that Chell would be the best bet to tell. To be told of the way they treated Phyn there. She needed to know that for Phyn's sake.

Chell walked over to Thomas as she turned and looked at him. "Please come this way and we will talk about your concerns." She said as she headed back out of the hall doors and down the hall to a grand office. She walked behind the desk and took a seat in the over sided oak chair with carvings of phoenixes on it as she waited for Thomas to join her. She poured a cup of tea for herself and took a scone from the pile that was on her desk that the servants had just put there.

Morgan smiled as he gave the girls a bow. "Then if you please follow me to your new home." He said as he turned and wave his hand as the wall disappeared and the massive wide open spaces where reviled. He smiled as he saw the different houses appear. The first house was the element house. He lead the group to the massive house that was made from the finest jewels and stone known to man. The oak trees gave plenty of shade for the occupancy of the house and there where many secret gardens and training grounds for any who would live there. He stopped as he turned and faced the group. "This is the elemental house. The element users are responsible for the beautiful landscaping and fixtures that you will find about the grounds. Every element has its own section of the house as well as its own training ground here."

Syrine stared with awe at the appearance of the elemental house. It's beautiful... A light shiver ran through her. Oh, I hope the Twilight house is just as lovely. She felt a ping of jealousy over her new friend. Phyn would be allowed to live in this garden paradise. She quickly extinguished it though, feeling petty for being jealous.

From what her uncle had explained to her, Phyn knew that Syra would be in Twilight house. That made her very sad. To know that she wouldn't have her friend with her. She did love the look of the place that would be her new 'home' until she learned to control her fire. But she wasn't sure if she would like it if she couldn't have her friend there with her. But she respected Merlin too much to talk while he was introducing the houses. Otherwise she would tell Syra, that the beauty of the place ment nothing if there where no friends to share it with.

Thomas followed Chell to her office. He came in just as she picked up the scone. "Chell. Listen. Phyn is an injured girl. I'm sure you all already know that she was locked up in a hospital for eight years and on medication for nine. When you came up to talk to the girls, I saw how she got. She doesnt see you as any kind of friend. She only sees you as an enemy that she must rise above the judgements of. The way you came across to her out there, only reminded her of the doctors and nurses that said they were only trying to help, and ended up hurting her instead. She most likely will need assistance, with whatever, but she wont come to you. When she finds out that Merlin is no where to be found she still wont come to you. She's willing to learn. She really is. She wouldn't have been admitted otherwise unless she was very dangerous. But she will try to do it on her own." He had said all of that before he realized that he hadn't taken a seat. Sitting down in a chair on the oppisit side of the desk, he looked at her expectantly. He thought he saw a scowl. Like she didnt want to talk with him. For some strange reason he said, "I never stoped loving you Chell."

((We're outside the Elemental House.))

"We are hear to talk about Phyn not your personal feelings. You made your bed there a long time ago and left instead of facing me and telling me the truth and you wander why Phyn has issues with trusting. You yourself had those same issues. I don't think it would matter how I approached her at this point Thomas she will view me as the enemy. Merlin though isn't the only one who can become a student. If I become one like her then she will form a bond because there will be common ground. As a teacher she only sees me as her threat and that is understandable. I will do anything to help her I promise. I will try and befriend her in this form but if it fails I will turn into another fire user. You should know better than anyone......I made you believe I was a ordinary student." Chell said as she put the scone down and looked Thomas in the eye. She shook her head as she thought about the horrid things the poor girl must have been put threw in the place. She hatted hospitals and doctors for the same reason and her past experiences. "I understand her better than you think Thomas. I know what horrid things those doctors will do to you and say they are helping. The pain they will put you thew. The poor girl...." She said as she seemed to stare off in a trance as the memories of her past came back to haunt her as she thought about the things the girl must have had done to her.

Merlin smiled as he saw the looks on the girls faces before he turned and lead them some ways away from the element house to a large house made of onyx and diamonds that gleamed in the light. The trees and river about it made it feel like its own little world. As the gate open for the group to enter into the privet court yard in the front of the main house. There was a feel of mystic powers about the building and court yard and all the other privet yards and areas of this house. It looked more like a ancient shrine with all the lanterns and the mist that gave covered the areas in and around the building. There was little light in the building except for the lanterns glow that could be seen through out it. Merlin turned as he began to speak again. "Welcome and this strange and odd place is the Twilight house. You can find many strange and wonderful things with in these walls and much devilment. You must be careful though if you choose to stay with in these walls and are not of this house. Not every spell and student is here for the right reason. That is why we ask for you to stay with at lest two members of the same house if you are going to spend the night or nights with any house. Many strange things can happen and I don't want anyone hurt. I insist that if you are going to do go or spend a night any where you find a buddy and from a buddy system. You will go now where without your buddy. I have no doubt that our dear Lady Chello wouldn't hesitate to defend any of you but she as I can not be everywhere at all times. For those of you in this house if you go to the back of the main house and out the giant door you will find a lake. At the middle of the lake you will find a shrine with cheery blossoms about the outside of it. That is where you can find Lady Chello. That is her home and don't be afraid to vist her or call on her because if you don't she will just come find you. She is known for poping in on students and spending the night with them. Don't let her rough outer shell scare you. She is nothing but a teddy bear on the inside. Though know if anyone dares to mess with you she will be their nightmare and so shall I." He said in a soft tone not wanting to scare the students.

Leaf wandered the halls of the school. "This place is a labyrinth..." He said to himself. He trudged through a hallway he was pretty sure he had passed five or six times now. "What's the use." He said to himself, sitting down against the wall. "No point in wasting my energy, I've already used too much magic today." He said, opening his book. Usually the diagrams and sketches seemed to come to life, but they were still as can be when he stared down at the ancient parchment. He looked up at the high ceiling, or at least, the gaping pit where it should be. "I can't even see the top...guess that rules out flying."

(still have no clue, so I'm doing something random.)

Syrines eyes went wide as she took in the beauty of her house. A shiver ran down her spine, and she swore she heard something in the shadows call her name. Her shadow tried to tug free, eager to explore this place that felt like a safe haven to her. "quiet." she whispered, not wanting to distract Merlin. Syrine looked confused. How could a place so beautiful be harmful? She glanced around and realized she knew no one from her own house. Phyn was in the Elemental, how could she follow his instructions for a buddy system, when she had issues being anyones 'buddy'. She felt relief to hear that Lady Chell stayed near the Twilight house. And a slight lift of happiness knowing that both Chell and Merlin would take care of them.

((alright, time for a change in tactics...))

A few minutes (even though it felt like hours) and a lot of wandering later, Leaf found an exit. It only led to another building. Leaf walked up the trail and looked at the sign. It read ELEMENTAL HOUSE. House?...He thought. This school has a housing system? That's odd. What house am I in?....A whole slew of questions flew through his mind. He missed his chance to go with Merlin. He couldn't find anyone in charge, so he sat down again. "If I wait here, maybe someone will find me..." He said, using logic instead of panicking.

Syrine's Shadow unwound itself again, eager to go exploring. When she wasn't paying attention, her shadow disconnected itself, and bounced across the ground, using the lights to move further faster. Shadow found its way back to the Elemental house, and noticed a boy there. Cocking it's head to the side, it listened as he decided to wait. Shadow wound itself up his leg, and gave a quick squeeze before unwinding and sliding up the wall to be level. It pointed towards the path leading to the Twilight house. It tapped it's foot impatiently, before going back down that way itself, to reattach to Syrine.

When Leaf saw the shadow, he jumped up, opening the book. The once stationary diagrams started to move once again, but stopped just as soon as they started. Not enough energy...He thought. He walked over to the path. "Well, I guess that's as good a lead as any." He said, running up the path, following the shadow.

Thomas felt bad. Things werent going as he had originally planned. He had wanted to not only tell Chell about the things that Phyn had been through, but what he was doing here. "Chell. The only reason that I'm telling you them now is because at the time I was told by Sam, you know my sister, that you would never like me because you were a teacher. And I'm also telling you now because, my councilor says I need to put the past at rest. As for Phyn's trust issues, well those came from her family and from the doctors. And there is a very big difference between her trust issues and mine. Hers is there before school. Mine came after you just suddenly out of nowhere show me that you were my favorite teacher and not the girl that I was falling in love with." He leaned back in the chair. Putting his hand over his eyes to block out the light he continued. "I never did get the perfect life that I'm sure Sam told you about. Since she was always a suck up to you. And she only wanted to learn how to use her fire so she could never use it again." Then he mumbled, "The jealous harpy..."

Phyn stood in awe as she watched the shadows seem to dance around the Twilight House. She leaned over and whispered to Syra in a break of Merlin's speach, "It's beautiful innit?" Just then she noticed that Syra's shadow had slipped away. "Syra!" She said in a loud whisper, "Your Shadow!"

"It's gorgeous. Just as lovely as the Elemental House." She whispered back, then looked down confused. She felt weird, like her shadow was... missing, again. Phyn noticed as well. Syrine sighed. "Yeah, I know." She glared as her shadow slipped back to connect to her. "Don't run off." she whispered through clenched teeth to her shadow. Looking back at Phyn, she blushed. "It likes to run off now and then..."

Phyn whispered back, "Why's it do that? I mean it's your shadow so shouldn't it stay with you?" She was confused. She'd seen some simular things before at the hospital but everytime she said anything they gave her more medications.

Even though he was tired and his legs felt like lead, he managed to keep up with the shadow. It seemed to be speeding toward a group of people. "Finally, humans." He said to himself. "Hey!" He shouted, waving his arms like an idiot, still on the shadow's tail.

Phyn looked over towards the shout, and saw a young man come running towards them. She waved him to them, then motioned to be quite and that Merlin was talking.

Thomas looked up from under his arm. "Well Chell? Do you have anything to say to that?" She needed to know the truth just as much as he needed to get it out.

Leaf ran up to them, his lungs gasping for air. He hadn't the slightest clue as to what the girl was trying to tell him. He stopped in front of them, panting with his hands on his knees. " I-I've been w-wandering around for hours." He said when he finally caught his breath. "I have no idea where I am."

Phyn whispered to him, "We're outside the Twilight House. And could you please keep your voice down. Merlin's been giving a speech. I haven't heard a thing he's said since you got here. You're so loud." She saw the book in his hands. "And for someone who reads, you don't seem very smart. I was trying to tell you to be quite since you started to yell 'Hey'. Books are supposed to make you smarter." She stated the last matter-of-factly.

"Oh, sorry." Leaf whispered. I finally find someone else and the first thing that happens is they insult me...Leaf thought, slightly annoyed. He opened the book. "This isn't the type you read." He said, staring at the motionless diagrams. "Veevlan." He whispered, and the pictures and symbols started to move. "Inca audan coven." He said, placing his finger on and arrow drawn on the page and pointed it at Merlin. The man instantly became louder. "There, this increases the hearing of anyone near the book. You should be able to hear him now." He whispered. He felt slightly more drained using his magic, plus there was the fact that he had been on his feet all day. "I hope he hurries up, I'm almost out of juice."

Phyn stared in shock at the book that he had. "Wow..." She whispered. She heard every word that Merlin said. It was amazing. Then she heard him mention
'Juice' and she realized that she was hungery and thirsty. At that very moment her stomach made an odd noise. So she desided to ask him, "You have juice?"

Leaf gave her a look. "It's an expression. I'm running out of energy. I'm not sure how long I can hold this spell." He said, his finger starting to tremble on the arrow. It wasn't a complicated spell, but he had used up so much energy before. Normally, he could hold it all day if his attention span allowed him to.

"humph!" Phyn crossed her arms and turned away. "Whell excuuusse meee! I didn't know that. I didn't learn all the stuff that you know ya kno. Some people were given different kinds of education then others." This guy was really annoying her. "So don't need to snap at me." Of course, she thought to herself. He might not be snapping at me. But he was still rude.

Someone's a bit grumpy.... He thought. "Ya know, you just made more noise than I did running in here." He said. It was nearly dead silent, yet Merlin was still talking. "Just stating fact." Leaf said, struggling to keep the spell going.

Phyn's stomach just kept getting louder and louder as she thought about the whole thing with the juice. "I am too. I can't hear myself think." She looked up when she thought she heard Merlin mention turning a frog into a hot dog for summer camp, and then sticking up the teacher's nose, before it resumed it's shape as a frog. I wish I could do that eye twitch thing that they do on anime... She turned to the boy. "Let's start this again. My name is Phyn. I'm a Fire Mage in Training. What's your name?" She said trying to sound nice to this annoying person.

((Idk... I think that Chell might just be very busy and can't get online... I was bored so I put the thing about the frog and hotdog in there... :XD ))
