"Of course! Kitties are so cute and adorable they can get away with anything! Plus they're good at hiding."
Tauna tried to spread out her wings, but they were really stiff from being under the jacket all this time. She'd have to let them relax from being pushed down. A few hours would probably do it.
"I'm sure you can do it if you put your heart into it and your mind. It could take a while, but you'll be so proud of yourself once it happens. And so will your mother." She smiled at him sweetly.

L blinked, then smiled. "Thanks," Was all he managed to get out before a purr erupted from his throat. He quickly pushed it back down, blushing in embarassment. "Er, sorry..."

"You can purr too!? So cute!" She almost pounced on him that time, but again restrained herself. She couldn't help but be super attracted to cute things. It made her wings twitch as well. "You must be getting close to that stage if you're getting signs like that."

"Eheh, thanks..." L blushed and sweat-dropped a bit. "Yeah, I've been getting lots of random cat urges lately. Like, just last week, I was fascinated by a butterfly. It took me 10 whole minutes to stop chasing it and batting at it with my hand."

"Then it sounds like it's really getting close to that stage. I read a chapter in a book on that topic one time. The book is about the growing stages of any mythical creature. It has them all in it. I still have that book in this bag if you want to borrow it. You could write down all the stages you come across or the ones yet to come. Could help as I read about later stages that are supposed to be painful depending on the person... That was also mentioned in my section so I'm prepared." She didn't want to talk about the painful part, but she also didn't want him to be alarmed by anything during the change if it were to happen. She wasn't even sure how she came to have that book in the first place, but she was glad she had it.

"Really?" L asked excitedly. "Are you sure I can borrow it? I mean, don't you need it too?" He asked, not trying to be rude, but just generally curious.

"Nah. I don't need it. I've typed everything I need to know in my laptop for when I need it. I like turning the pages to read it, but I figured since you said you were starting to go through your changes faster than I was you might need it more right now. Everyone grows differently." She opened her bag and rummaged through it quickly and found it. She handed it to him with another smile. Then close her bag again.

"Wow, t-thanks," L said gratefully, gently taking the book from her. He stared at the cover, delight sparkling in his eyes.

"No problem. I'm sure it'll help you." That was all she could think to say at the moment as they continued to walk. She still wasn't sure where they were going and it felt like forever since the journey to find the dorm started. She was kind of puzzled and wondered if they'd passed them already.

L seemed to almost read Tauna's mind, asking aloud, "Are we there yet?"

"Huh?" She was completely dazed out then realized what was being asked. "Uh... I'm not sure... I think we got separated from Karin..." She looked around for a few seconds. "I'm...sure if we keep walking we'll find them... Eventually..." She wasn't so sure about that but didn't want him to worry. She was a bit worried. The hallways seemed so dark now and she didn't like that.

L's ears flattened. "I didn't realize we walked this far," He said quietly, his tail bristling a bit in fear.

"Hmm... Yeah... Maybe we should retrace our steps a bit..." She felt like a lost and fearful child as she stopped walking to think. "At times like these I wish I could fly... Then this probably would have never happened..." She felt like huddling in a corner and cry now, but she knew she had to be brave. "Is there a map anywhere?" She asked that to pretty much no one but herself despite someone being there.

"Not that I know of," L murmured. His cat senses were pushing to take over. He attempted to push them away and failed. He ended up crouching on the ground, sniffing the floor and crawling towards the smell of Karin, ears flicking a bit. "This way," He called, beckoning Tauna with his tail and scampering down the hallway on his hands and knees.

"Eh... O-okay..." She sweatdropped at the sudden action taken. It was a bit odd. Cute of course, but odd. She followed behind him without really saying a word. Her wings flickered though in reaction to something... She wasn't sure why. She'd have to look at the information on her laptop again. Maybe they were just slightly stretching out a bit.

When L finally caught up to Karin, he stood up. He blinked at realization of what he had done. "Eh... S-s-sorry about that," He said to Tauna, turning towards her.

This is her first year here and she didnt know what to do. She look around her new school with a depressing look. She was depressing, yet lonely. While walking, she realized that she went the wrong way. She bumps to L and Tauna

L yelped as some girl bumped into him. His cat ears flicked upwards in surprise, becoming visible against his hair. "Um, hello," He said to the girl. "Are you lost?"

Tauna almost lost her balance when she was bumped into and forgot what was being spoken about before or what had happened. Her wings twitched soon after that, but she didn't say anything about the bump into. Instead she just waited for an answer from the question L asked. New person meant new shyness.

"Where am I? I think I just went the wrong way!" Honoko mumbles as she blushes. " Hi, I am Honoko....." She talks to Tauna and L.

L blinked. "Um, hello... I'm L." His ears quickly flattened again, becoming hidden in his hair once more.

" L? Isnt that spell E-L-L-E?" She asked with a curious look. "Am I right? It spells E-L-L-E right?" She still very curious about his name.

"Nope. It's apparently just the letter. I had the same thought too when I asked about it." She smiled at the new girl. "My name's Tauna."

" Wah, thats a nice name...... my name is Honoko, and I'm half vampire." Honoko replied. She looked at L, " So your name spell "L"?" She asked with another curious look.

L lowered his gaze and nodded in reply to Honoko's question.
