Lena pushed too. She wasn't the strongest, but she was doing something. After a little bit, still nothing showed up. It was late, she was tired, now exhuasted, and her muscles ached. She stopped pushing and told him to stop too. She closed her eyes, letting the rain pound hardly against her. She was soaked, and now cold too. She didn't want to get sick. That would suck. She trudged in the wetness and got into her car. She shivered and moved the hoodie down. She didn't know what she was going to do about this. Most likely sleep in the car. But what about Gage? The poor guy was stuck with her... Unless he liked walking home in rain....

Gage stopped after she told him to stop. He looked over at her curiously as he walked back to the door. He seemed unsure before he sighed. It was his fault she was now stuck here. He tilted his head as he went and sat in the seat, closing the door. "There's a gas station a few minutes away, if you don't mind walking there with me. maybe we could get some help." he offered. They were both wet and cold, and if they didn't get out of the clothes, they'd most likely get sick. And, he was pretty sure their families would worry about their whereabouts.

Lena looked over at him. She sighed, but nodded. "Okay. I'll call a tow from the gas station...." But she definitely wasn't going to be able to call her mom. Most likely she was home asleep or mad while she waited up for her dad. Which meant, there was no way she could call her. So she was screwed. She just hoped Gage wasn't screwed as well.... It was her stupid car that got them stuck here. She pulled the hood back over her head.

Quinn smiled. "We are already here, silly." He lead her to the dinky place that he called home. It was pretty shabby, but it was home. "And you can totally do better than a waitress job." He smiled, assuring her. "After all, you are super smart." He wrapped his arm around her waist as he lead her inside. The place was a bit of a mess, but it had a really loving, homey feeling to it. He could hear the asshole snoring from the master bedroom, but his mother was sitting at the table, making a crossword. His mother was the person who made the crosswords for the local paper, so she was always working on making new ones. "Hey ma, Katie's staying the night. Hope you don't mind." He smiled, watching his mother wave at them without looking up. "Guess she doesn't mind.." He shook his head and lead Katie to the couch, which had been doubling as his room because of water damage in his actual room. Blushing as he quickly picked up a pair of his boxers and tossed them to the side. "Well.. home sweet home.." |
Katie smirked at the boxers and sat down. The place wasn't much but the homey feeling made up for it since she didn't really have a home at the moment."Are you sleeping with me tonight? Or is there a rule or something.." She asked with a small grin. She smiled towards his mother, feeling bad that she had to work late at night."So guessing by the boxers I guess you either sleep on the couch or change on it." She smiled, patting the seat by her. She sat her bag on the floor and looked up." Hopefully I can do better than being a waitress... I mean, my math grades are killing any good job that will ever come my way." She groaned.

Blushing brightly as she commented on his boxers, he shook his head. "I've been living in the living room until I have the cash to pay for the water damage." Watching as Katie looked towards his mom, he sighed. "Don't worry about her. She is an insomniac when it comes to nighttime. She worls best when it is late. Genius, if you ask me. And don't worry. I could always help you with math." He smiled, math being a subject he was pretty good at, even if not the best. Taking off his sweatshirt, revealing bruised arms from when his stepfather hit him, he tossed it onto a pile of dirty clothes. "Mom won't care. She's pretty chill about people staying over. We used to house 4 other kids, before he moved in." Climbing onto the small mattress on the floor, he tossed her up a pillow and a blanket. "You can sleep down here, or on the couch. Your call." |
She nodded a little and got off the couch." I'd rather be by you." She noticed his arms and glared towards the room the snoring was coming from. She didn't want to crowd him so she sat down by the mattress. And running her hand over one of his bruises." It kills me that he does this to you.." She mumbled, leaning over and giving him a small kiss." But atleast you can get away from it all if you do want to move in together.."

As Katie kissed the bruise on his arm, he winced slightly, but smiled. "Eh.. What doesn't kill me makes me stronger." He laid down, making sure to give her plenty of room, even though that meant he was mostly off the mattress. "Come 'ere." He pulled her to him and wrapped his arms around her. |
She laid her head on his chest and sighed a little." I just don't like the fact that the guy I love is being hit around by a fat loser.." She said, looking up at him and kissing him. "I'm sorry about everything. Just know that i'll always be yours..even if I have to wait till your thirty." She smirked a little and laid her hand on his chest.

Quinn held her close to him, happy to have her head on his chest as he began to fall asleep. Tomorrow would be a whole new day. A new day, with hopefully less stress. After all, he wasn't sure how much stress he could handle for his last year of high school. |

Katie curled up under the covers and soon fell asleep listening to Quinn breathing. |

Gage nodded, getting out of the car again. "Alright. I've got some money just in case." he offered as they got ready. He looked on and blinked, trying to get rid of the water coming into his eyes. This was getting ridiculous. He didn't even think this counted as raining anymore, since the rain was coming down hard and fast. And it was freezing. Oh yeah, he was getting sick more likely than not. He started to walk down the road, slowing down enough for Lena to catch up. Too bad there wasn't anyone driving here.

It took a very long time to get to the gas station. But finally her car was towed to a car repair shop. The driver offered a ride to Lena and Gage. Soon Gage was dropped off to his house, and then Lena's house. She snuck in and took a shower immediately before putting her pajama's on and drying off her school books. Then she took another very hot shower and took some medicine to prevent getting sick. She hoped Gage wouldn't get sick.... She went to bed afterwards, falling asleep almost instantly. |

Once he got dropped off, he snuck into the house by his window. He changed clothes and went straight to sleep. It was too late for a shower, and his mom would wake up to ask when he'd come back, so he would just take one tomorrow. Hopefully, this wouldn't be too bad and it'd just be a false alarm of sickness. |
