Archen actually almost started to laugh. He was bout to but barely managed to choke it down. Finally! Something entertaining! This was the first time since he had arrived, even if it was by his own free will, that he had laughed, or was even mildly entertained by something other then his own imagination. When she looked back at him, he just grinned at her. He didn't mean for it to look mean if that's how it came off. He just couldn't help but grin at her. It was just too funny to him.

Mandred spun to the side throwing his own punch at her. He was getting into the excitement of actually sparring. He hadn't had a good fight in years. The punch he through went to her side. He almost didn't hear Melesha call the end of class, having been focusing completely on the battle between him and Nyirko. He hesitated momentarily as the class started to leave, coming back to reality. "Good fight..." His eyes caught hers and he noticed the intensity in them. "See you around." But he didn't move. He was watching her, and was now noticing the electricity that was going across both of their bodies from the constant blows.

Nyriko wasn't panting but she was breathing harder then normal. She smiles at him a little when they had to stop. But, of course, it went away. She wasn't really into staying and talking to him too much. Even though the fight had been a good one and she hadn't had one that great for a long time, with the exception of the word sparring with Ren, she still didn't feel comfortable around Mandred. Especially since it was obvious he had good control of his powers. Unlike her. "Yeah, you too." She then spun and practically ran out of the gym, grabbing her bag on the way out.

Mandred watched her go in shock, "Did I do something?" He mumbled before picking up his own bag with a shrug.

Tohru skipped into the classroom right behind Matt and decided to mimic the other girls by stretching. But ended up lying on her back counting the tiles on the ceiling.

Matt took his time to start the class, he started it five minutes after it normally would have started but he had been barely on time anyways. He didn't really feel like teaching right now, there was some things on his mind. And since it was the first day he would just do stretches, and give them some basic blocks to practice, and than let them go. "Welcome to class everyone, for those of you who don't know me I am Mr. Onis. This is Basic defense class and we will be covering basic blocks and if we get to it some turns and grab escapes. Defense is not about attacking back, but rather being able to stop any attack that comes towards you. " He paused to take a breath, "I'm going to take attendance really quick and than I'm going to show you a few stretches." He nodded at the girls who had started stretching. "Jaz here has the right idea, to be able to defend yourself you need to be able to have kinks out of your system by stretching. But it isn't just a physical thing, you also need to be able to calm down your body, and clear your mind. " With the introduction speech done he took a quick attendance.

Jaz beamed a quick smile at Matt when he acknowledged her stretching. She'd kept going while he was talking, but was listening as intently as . . . well, perhaps more intently then some. Her silver gaze was eager - she loved the fighting in this school. It was something worth doing with powers . . . even if they didn't use them every time.
Glancing over to Becca (who was still leaning against her knees), she smiled. "Are you listening?"

The dark-haired girl let her gaze shoot away from Archen (who was confusing her with a grin that didn't seem so terrible). "Uhm, yes," she whispered back, and then looked at the boy in the corner once more before turning her attention to the instructor. Hearing what he said about stretching, she went about trying to touch her toes onces again. She would follow Jaz's example for now.

From where he was, Sayren nearly rolled his eyes. This was going to be a slow class. He knew how to fight - it just got glitchy when his powers went into play. Sinking down against the wall, he stared at the others for a few moments. We'll see who has talent.
Listening (partially) to Matt, the youth tossed his navy hair away from his eyes. Move on already!

(Sniff. Esmme. It's Archen that was grinning at Becca, not Mandred O.O And Sayren rocks, so it's awesome :XD)

Archen grumbled when the teacher started talking. He was enjoying confusing the girl and would have preferred to continue doing so. But whatever. He sat down and didn't really stretch. He just pretended to be moving like he was supposed to be. When his name was called for roll, he just raised his hand to show he was there. He didn't feel like talking.
Now he just waited and watched as the others were stretching. Well, except for another navy-haired boy, who looked just as grumpy as Arch felt. Although, harassing that girl had lightened his mood quite a bit from earlier that morning. He sighs. From the looks of things, he's probably the youngest there. Strike one against him. Constantly, since he'd gotten there, he has had to remind himself that he went there by his own decision, against his parents. He wanted to be there. But he's beginning to wonder if it was really just a mistake. And it's only the second day,He thought.

Krista sat in the corner stretching quietly with everyone else. She was feeling rather down having finally opened up to someone and having them disappear on her. Sure, she had seen him briefly but she was worried that she should just never have opened up at all. "Here professor." She answered the roll call.

"Okay, now that we've all stretched," Matt continued after leading the classroom through some stretches, "We need to clear our minds with a breathing exercise." He sat on the floor legs crossed with his hands relaxed on his knees. "You may feel ridiculous but that's going to be normal for someone knew with this. Now, breath in and out and try to think of nothing but the breathing."

Archen sat down with the rest of the class but he did not join in the breathing exercise. He kept his eyes open, flicking to and fro as he took in the scenery. If he really needed to, he would clear his mind but he generally avoided that at all costs. So he just sat there, looking around, wondering when they were going to start the actual lesson part of this. He was not into wasting yet more of his 'precious' time.
He wondered if the teacher would even notice. He seemed like he might be a little off and so wouldn't notice exactly what Arch was doing. That would be a nice change, and he could continue to disobey what he was told to do. Not that he was really disobeying. More like he just couldn't do what he was being asked of. He actually had reasons for not doing it. Not that he was going to tell this guy.

Bored out of her mind, Nyirko walked along the waters edge. Her class had gotten out early, so she didn't have another to do for about another half an hour. She stared off across the lake, wondering if she would ever be able to reach the island that stood so far away. It looked like it might be lovely; but since she had an aversion to water, she couldn't exactly swim across. She stopped abruptly as she stared at the distant little piece of land. She had a sudden thought of how to get there and the plan was starting to form. More then likely, it would have to be a night jaunt, and she couldn't exactly afford to get caught. But she wanted to see it badly. She had read somewhere in the library about the history of this place and somewhere it had said that on that island, a water user and an earth user had created a plant that only grew there, could only live there; and could only bloom when the circumstances were right. She wanted to see that. She just didn't like the circumstances; but she could deal with just seeing them as they are.
She turned on her heel and headed back towards the buildings. She needed to find her frosty friend and talk to him, nicely, she thought, if she wanted this to work. She growled at the idea of having to be nice again but she figured she could at least try.

(Matt ignored Archimedes?)

Becca tried not to giggle as the entire class focused on breathing. That was something she'd never done before, especially with so many people around her. A stray snicker broke from her lips right around the time everything fell silent, much to her dismay. The dark-haired girl ducked her head and closed her eyes, trying not to disrupt anyone else and their thoughts.

From where she sat Jaz smiled. She liked Becca. Sure, the girl was a bit shy . . . but she'd get over that once she was comfortable. The metal-user went through the motions - she knew what to do. If everyone listened right off, this wouldn't take longer than a couple minutes. Unfortunately, not everyone was doing as they were told.

Sayren slowly sat down, but didn't bother joining in the exercises. He closed his eyes and made it look like he was, but his mind drifted. He was still a bit irritated with how Nyirko had reacted to him that morning. Alright, so he could have let her sleep in. But hadn't she done the same just the other day?!
Letting out an angry sigh, the youth was glad he sat far from the others. Frost coated bits of the floor and wall around him as he thought over the morning's . . . events. Great way to start the day. In fact, he was very tempted to "go to the bathroom" and just leave. It was only the first day of class. . . .
Glancing toward the door, Ren narrowed his maroon eyes in Matt's direction. Perhaps he could sneak out.

(I'm not quite sure what happened to that post. Matt had asked him to sit down because it was time for class and they would chat after...I really don't know what happened to it, but I remember replying. sorry)

Matt of course as the teacher kept his eyes open to survey the class but did do the breathing exercise. He quickly took note of fidgeting students and ones that weren't even bothering. Again with the troublesome ice student that Nyirko liked. A faint smile came to his lips before he cleared it again, bad example he'd make if he himself couldn't even clear his mind.

Standing up he called the class back to attention, "Form lines so that you can see the front." Than he showed them through basic low, mid, and high blocks. "I want you to all do 10 sets of each and than start again if other have not finished. "

Krista set one hand on her shoulder and slid it down her arm, it made a delightful swish as it moved over her long sleeved shirt into a low block. She was silently delighted that she could do it. And she practiced that until she was satisfied. Having hated the mid block and feeling awkward doing and upper block. The upper block was easy enough, it was just hard to make sure that her fist ended palm away from her body at the right height. And she didn't have the snap quite right. The middle block though was just irritating. It felt ridiculous to lift her arm to shoulder height and bring it forward in this awkward chest/stomach block thing.

Tohru happily screwed up every single block and wandered around the room watching everyone else. She popped up and stood next to Archen for a little bit. 'Practicing' her blocks next to him. "Hey grumpy guts, I'm Raine. Looks like you're as bored in this class as I am." She gave him a sly smile before Tohru bounced happily over to the next person to annoy. "Hey Becca!!! How's your blocks going?"

(Ok, he asked him to sit, I can work with that)

Archimedes had smiled and shook his head saying, "Sorry, but I'm not in this class, sir. I'll just get out of your way." Archimedes left and continued to walk around the grounds, waiting for 10 o' clock to roll around so he could talk to Matt again about the club and wondering if it would be appropriate for Matt to be in the club if he was a teacher? ... No, it wouldn't be that appropriate... but maybe that could be the roll he would fit in! Archimedes grinned as he struck his hand in his fist with a triumphant look on his face as he exclaimed, "Aha! That would be his lure! The ladies would be attracted to him, but since he's a teacher it's taboo, making it that much more exciting, sort of like Uncle Hikaru and Uncle Kaoru!"

Archen stood grumpily to his feet, having no actually picked him self up physically. He used his ability over wind to get up, though it still looked like he did it himself. He begun the blocks that Matt started up, still bored. He got them down rather quickly and so just as quickly got bored with it. As soon as he started with the idea of playing with the wind while he did them, Tohru came up and started to talk to him. Before he got a chance to reply, she was off again, going to the girl he had messed with earlier. He just growled and continued his exercises. And yawned.

Becca looked up at Tohru with a small smile. "I'm doing good,"she said, and then went back to doing another set of blocks with Jaz. The two worked together well, even when they weren't talking. "How about you? You look like you're having . . . ah, fun." Her brown eyes filled with laughter as she missed a block.

From where he was Sayren started a routine as well. Snagging another of the students, he practiced with him for a while before getting absolutely bored. He knew this sort of thing, thank goodness. Instead of being completely useless, the navy-haired youth went about helping those who weren't quite getting the blocks.

"I'm doing fantastic!" Tohru bounced cheerfully. Her blocks were absolutely pathetic attempts but she was to busy being full of energy to notice. "Hyah!" She cried out as she threw another block. She turned and looked at Archen. A slow smile slid across her face, Raine really hoped she had flustered the kid, he was far to grumpy.

Manny was in a confused shock after that mornings class, and it was all he could do to put one foot in front of the other and walk himself to sit down at the fountain in the front courtyard. Sitting on the ledge, his finger trailing in the water he watched the sparks ripple around. The sparring had been fun, and he hadn't really done anything wrong, had he? Why had the girl.. what was her name. Noryn or something... taken off in such a huff?He was so deep in thought he didn't even notice the other students walking around the grounds.

Matt watched in approval as most of the class picked the blocks up fairly fast. He helped some of the students who were having a hard time, adjusting there hands, or giving them pointers. "Very good everyone." He smiled pulling the class to attention. "Now I would assume that you all have some grasp on your elements. So with some control I'd like you to put your element behind the block. For example."

He formed a metal plate over his hand and as he did a down block he shot the metal plate into the ground. It formed a curved shield in front of him and he pulled it back over his hand. "Using your powers will put more force into the block, and even make it more dangerous and can be used as an offense as well.

((I hope all of you aren't to upset if i wish to come back. I was having a bad time and lost my will to write. Perhaps someone could update me in a message.))

As Archimedes was wondering the grounds he spotted Manny and his eyes lit up with excitement as he rushed over, stopping with a little skid right in front of Manny as he said, "Hey there buddy! That's the right word, right? Buddy?"

Mandred jumped falling into the water in pure surprise. He stood up embarrassed stepping out of the fountain dripping, the electricity fizzled along his body, greatly dampened. "Yeah man, buddy works, you just scared the shit outta me." He shook Archimedes hand, "You're crazy energetic, what's up?"

Archimedes smiled and said, "My name is Archimedes Suoh and I'm starting a club, and you are perfect for it! I've already gotten a teacher willing to sign off on it, so that's taken care of! I've already spotted a few students in the halls who would also make excellent club members, like one kid who I think I heard his name is Archen or something like that."
