Krovi Academy- "What we are" Open.Accepting
OOC THREAD HERE ------- No one wants a cursed child... Description of who attends here This roleplay accepts demon and vampire (there will be a limit on these two races),witch, those with supernatural powers and shapeshifting races. It's a school for those who have no where else to go, with hearts colder then the weather from all the hate they have received. Our School is our santuary... About the school Krovi Academy was set up by a group of witches centuries ago, hoping to shelter other creatures such as themselves from the cruelty of the world. No one knows it's exact location, students are lead into the freezing snow after you've exited the last train stop in somewhere in Norway. Eventually they reach the school grounds, and can take any room available. Classes start at 9AM and end at 2PM, giving students enough time to warm up to their environment outside of the classrooms. It's set up as a sanctuary, but the school is far from it. Rumors of monsters even more terrifying then themselves and disappearances have happened over the years. Although the school seems nothing more then buildings in the snow, there are plenty of mysteries buried underneath... literally. Today is during the month of... Where we are...
A quick-drawn, really basic map of the school, train station, and underneath the school. Link to Larger Map: http://i56.tinypic.com/aucmiq.jpg There are many places to explore, and if the weather is mild you can travel down to the train station where they can buy assorted items or leave the school altogether. Underneath the school is where the rumors start, where monsters lurk and vampires are said to roam. What's happening to us... News. Be sure to check this every once in awhile s'il vous plaît - 3/13: Oops! I forgot a "weakness" section of the character skelly. I'll be changing that now, but whoever sent in a profile already/planning to can you add that in? Thanks ^^ - 3/14: Wasn't planning to post anything else any time soon but: Men. We need them. I will allow multiple characters, btws :D - 3/19: I wonder where everyone went. If you're in this roleplay, even if your character isn't interacting at the moment, please be sure to check in so I know you're still active ^^;; - 3/27: Monsters! Haha, yeah, we need them for the underground of the school. A few of these will just be mindless beasts, but I do want some talking boss/evil characters who are constantly lurking around school. Interesting in being one of these monsters? MM me~! - 3/27: Fight Rules! Finally ^^ They are only posted on the OOC thread, since that's where characters should go anyways. Please keep in mind that if you have any suggestions/things to add to the rules please mail me/post on the OOC thread, since I barely know what I'm doing. We are alive... Officially open |
((Shall I be starting? I guess I shall...))
"Blasted wind chill!" Tok yelled at nothing, directing her anger towards the frozen winds. She had been following her guide for almost 30 minutes now, and the poor girl was about to keel over and freeze to death if she hadn't seen the school building loom in the distance. It looked like one of those buildings that used to be painted with color, but by now most of it had chipped off or wore away to an ugly grey hue. It looked about as bleak as the snowy tundra around it. I guess I can't really expect much, Tok thought, The rumors about this school lately are incredible. It had been said over the past few decades that students had been disappearing under the catacombs of the city. There were no real records, though, since the school itself was completely off the record. You didn't even need to apply, just show up one day and take a room. Because that wasn't suspicious at all. Tok was relieved that the interior of the building was heated and pretty well decorated. This was the dormitory, with deep red colored walls and comfy looking furniture in what seemed like the welcoming/living room. It was quiet except for the soft playing music from another student's room and the creaks from floorboards above. "Looks like the set up for a mystery game, almost." She mumbled to herself, making the way down the halls. |
Blaze had been walking for a long time in the cold when he finally spotted the building. It was pretty much as he expected, old and gray. But it was a but unusual as well. Blaze didnt like the way the building towered over you like it was about to fall. He didnt like how it was so intimidating and how he got shivers down his spine the first time he spotted it. He shook the bad thoughts out of his mind and walked inside. It was nice and warm inside, and it cooled down his nerves a bit. The building was much nicer inside then it was out with the nicely colored walls and the different furniture.
Blaze walked into his dorm room. It had nice white walls and the beds had blue blankets on them, he loved it already. He sat on the bed and looked out his window sitting right beside it. There was barely anybody outside, probably because it was so cold. But there was also not many people inside. It was a bit scary inside because there was not a lot of noise and Blaze could hear just about anything. |
Gael looked up at the school as her breath puffed out into the cold air in white clouds. she was at home in the weather a fact illustrated by the fact that she wore faded black jeans, and an open trench coat and a thin button down shirt. her short silver cropped hair blew on the slight breeze that flowed across the yard and through the forest, while her red eyes appraised the building in which she was to spend the next year or so of her life.
sighing she shook her head as she kneeled down to pluck a flower that grew in the harsh land. placing it in her hair she straitens and walks back into the dorm building her mind lost in the memory of her arrival, and the circumstances of her departure. she couldn't remember why it was that the person had wanted to hurt her, merely the after effects, and the damage. she was also curious about the school, especially one that could elicit such interesting rumors. she had spent last night on the roof watching the stars and she was planning on spending the night tonight looking at the still empty rooms. she liked her room however as it was on the bottom floor the walls black while the floor was thick maroon rug the ceiling a silvery white. it didn't match, but she was happy all the same. |
Tok had found a room by now, and even with her horrible eyesight she could see the blurs of a bed, a desk, and a dresser. Each were beige and as dull as the front of the school.
"I guess I got one of the unlucky dorms, eh, Lucifer?" She said, releasing a Indian Krait from her sleeve. Tok didn't really care about the decorations in her room, she was only going to spent a little while here until she planned to leave to someplace... warmer. "I bet you were cold even in my layered jacket, I'm sorry." She had stolen Lucifer from a traveling fair a year ago, when they were featuring "The 10 Deadliest Snakes of the World". Tok had taken a liking to this particular one and took him along with her. Deadly or not, Lucifer and Tok got along pretty well. She peered out of her door, no shapes of anything but a long hallway. It was a little frightening without any people, there was no noise to occupy her thoughts. Tok never really liked people in the first place, but wasn't that the reason why they were all here? |
Aysel forced herself to close her eyes and relax, think of anything except for this dreaded winter weather. She let her thoughts wander off to imagine the warm of her previous coastline home, the water gliding over her delicate, sun-kissed skin as she fully immersed herself in it. Oh, why is it that Krovi must be located here, of all places? No water in sight, and I am just dying for a bath right now. Sighing, she reopened her eyes, deighted to see that she had neared the inhospitible looking building since she had closed them. She had to admit, the academy was most definitely not the friendliest building she had ever approached, but she did so anyways, knowing that it would simply be for the best.
Upon entering, a smile lit her face, glad to see that the interior was rather inviting compared to the run-down gray building it had appeared to be outside. Slipping off the topmost layer of her jackets, Aysel waited a minute or so before moving around, just to let herself warm up and get a good look around the entrance. She decided to venture down a hallway, unsure of which dorm to choose, and on a search for a decent-looking one, but was stopped cold in her tracks as she very nearly walked into a girl who had her head peeking out of her door. Aysel stopped quickly, unconsciously bringin her hands to her neck to make sure her gills were covered- and they were. Good. Next, eyeing the white-haired girl for a moment, Aysel convinced herself to greet her, being that, after all, this was a place for people out of hte norm, like her. Perhaps the students here would not be so cold and vile. "Hello." she spoke simply, in her somehwat melodic voice, trying a grin for good measure. |
The sudden shift of movement (followed by a voice) took Tok back in surprise. Her eyes adjusted slightly to reveal a girl standing at the other end of the hall.
"Oh, uh... Hi" She mumbled, not really sure what to do in this situation. Was she there the whole time? Had Tok just assumed nobody was there? She shook her head, shunning those thoughts away. I wasn't wrong, just caught off guard. "Sorry, hello." Tok said in a more business tone. She didn't try to smile since the first impression was already ruined. She mumbled at first. She mumbled! Mumbling in front of people was no immature, and Tok wouldn't do anything to let her quiet reputation be at stake. It was a bit of a complex for the girl, she was such a big klutz that she often felt the need to overcompensate for it. Lucifer slithered silently in the room, making his way up Tok's coat and poking his head out of her hood. "I'm Tok, you are just arriving now too?" Tok said, still keeping only her head and Lucifer visible. |
hearing voices down the hall as she started to walk out of one of the rooms she was exploring she jumps almost guiltily before sticking her head out the door and glancing around and down the hall. spying two people, one hanging her head out in front of her door and the other at the end of the hall((am i wrong in assuming that the rooms are set up almost opposite of each other in a row?)). groaning softly to herself is exasperation she steels herself and starts to walk towards her room. she was glad that they didn't have room mates though she wasn't sure if that would last.
hoping that the girls didn't focus on her too much she walked to her door and slipping the key into the lock, unlocks it before slipping inside in one smooth motion. breathing heavily she reflects on the glimpse of the two people. one had seemed slightly off, though Gael wasn't sure just what it was, and the other with a snake peeking out of her shirt. |
Cassandra had already found her way through the worn out school, and was sitting on her bed criss-cross. She rested her hand of one of her favorite shadow demons, Lyoko, who appeared to be a small, black, 3-tailed fox with red eyes. Cassandra reached over to her bag, pulling a out a wooden flute that she'd made herself.
"What song?" She asked Lyoko followed by a giggle. She began blowing on the instrument quietly, before setting it down. She'd been really wanting a shower, but water always burned, and tingled her skin, and she had no clue why. Cassandra sighed, hoping she'd meet someone soon. (Sorry it's short, I was clueless on how to start off) |
((You're not wrong, emiko, that's exactly how I imagined it. I wasn't too specific about the dorms, but i guess they aren't that important so anything goes as far as the interior goes. Who's standing in front of her door, though?
@ Lightning: It's okay to be confused on how to start (I always am) I'm pretty sure all characters are generally open for talking to, even if they are already chatting with someone else ^^)) |
((lol figured it was aysel since shes kind o talking to tok and her snake i was going to make my character room across from her that right? oh nvm shes at the end....))
|
Aysel shifted her balance between her feet, a nervous habit, before the other girl finally replied after a few moments in which she felt rather awkward. Maybe... people are different here? Again grinning politely, Aysel shook her head at the apology, putting her hands up to gesture no need for an apology as well. "Oh, no, no, I very nearly walked into you, I am sorry. My name's Aysel, it's nice to meet you, and yes, I just arrived." she then smiled fully, spotting the snake coming from Tok's hood. Letting out a low whistle, she looked over him, "He's a beauty." Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a girl down the hall from them, sticking a key into her dorm's door.
Remembering that she had yet to settle in, Aysel looked back over at Tok with another grin. "Well, I guess I should go settle in. See you around?" Almost sheepishly, Aysel continued on her way down the hall before choosing a room maybe five or six doors down. Faintly, she heard music drifting down the hallway, from some sort of wind insturment, prehaps, but she decided to ignore it for now as she unpakced her belongings. |
Blaze heard talking in the outside and opened his door slightly peeking out. He didnt see much, just a girl walking to her room. He walked out with his hands in his pockets and closed his door behind him. Blaze was not going to talk to them, he just wanted to walk up and down the halls to get a feel for the place. All he could see was girls everywhere he went. He bet they all had different personalities and such, but he didnt like the feel of just girls. There was one girl who caught his eye. She was talking to a different girl and she had eyes like a snake. To him it was a bit odd. She didnt look like every other girl here.
|
"You didn't." Tok suddenly blurted out, denying the fact she had almost been run into. A slight flush of embarrassment swept across her face because she said something that loudly, she composed herself immediately afterward.
"Yes, it's nice to meet you as well. This is Lucifer." She said quietly, pointing to the snake that was curling it's way around her neck. How did you even get there in the first place? She thought, apparently never taking notice to the reptile's movements at all. More people seemed to be showing up, Tok could tell, since the noise level seemed to increase and moving blurs seemed to multiply. Three counting Aysel? Maybe more, she cursed her horrid vision for not allowing her to see properly. "Oi, could anyone around me maybe please raise their hand or something?" She said in a voice that was strangely loud for herself after Aysel had left for her room. Then, to Lucifer she whispered, "Do you sense anything bad?" The snake remained silent, only sticking out it's tongue as it scanned the area. Tok was, of course, asking about anyone that would fit the rumors description. Or ghosts. Maybe even vampires, Tok's senses were too dull for that. |
Cassandra soon, ran out of entertainment in her boring room, so decided to explore the halls a bit. She normally hated other people seeing her, but didn't ever show it. Her appearance was a bit odd, starting with her green hair, and her red and green eyes. She quickly shrugged that off, knowing that she probably wasn't the only strange-looking one. She knelt down, petting Lyoko one more time, before summoning him back. She quickly pulled on her red jacket, before continuing to the halls.
Cassandra looked around the halls, seeing that other girls had made friends already. She had considered going to a random group and just talking, but noticed a boy wandering through the school. She tilted her head slightly. He was the only boy she'd seen so far, and before seeing him, she was actually thinking it might've been an all girls school. Cassaandra picked up her pace, so she could be at his side. She looked over at him, going through her head on how she should greet him, "Hey." Cassandra simply said to the boy, followed by a silent sigh. |
Lanalee thanked the cold weather as she walked up the path to Krovi Academy. The outside was bleak and dull, giving a sort of a prison or asylum feeling. Stomping her feet in the slushy snow, she cursed as some of the snow got inside her boot and wet her socks. Retracting her laser gun and pulling the lever that automatically folded it into a tiny square, Lanalee unbuttoned her jacket to reveal an outfit that you would expect someone to wear during the summer or at the beach. Staring at the walls of the academy, she sighed. "Oh well...it was this or nothing."
Upon entering the Academy, she was pretty surprised. Based on the outside, you would expect the inside to look like some sort of haunted house, right? Well, the Academy's interior gave off a surprisingly homely feeling and a warm glow. This seemed to be some sort of welcoming room or dormitory. Walking down the hallway, she saw a few of what would be who she was living with during the next year or so. Lanalee wondered curiously if her skin had frightened anybody...it was deathly pale. |
Darren walked through the cold with his guide freezing under a heavy coat. He was used to always being hot and this was so different. He was used to walking though so at least that wasn't a problem. When he finally spotted the school he sighed with relief. He ran inside and looked around. It was nice and warm inside so his first priority was to dump his coat and stuff. He found a free room and dropped his stuff on the floor. He walked back to the entrance area where everyone was standing. He dug out his smokes and lit one. He took a few puffs before walking over to a wall and leaning on it. He wanted to talk with the other students but didn't have the nerve to walk over to them. Instead he looked over everyone then looked off into the distance.

Co-ed dorms? Leon thought as he made his way into the hallways, pulling off his scarf and coat and throwing them onto the nearest armchair. I guess they really do accept everything in this place. Either way... He saw someone had just gotten in before him, walking down the hallway by now.
"You sure look freezing in that outfit." He mentioned, catching up to her. "Preparing for an early summer?" He said in a very laid-back tone. He'd might as well get to know who he was rooming with, even if that did involve the smaller with with the snake down her neck. He raised his hand slightly, as snake-girl had asked, with a nod saying I'm here! then turned his attention back to the original black-haired girl. By now Leon was walking right beside her and he held out his hand, "Hi, I'm Leon." He understood her gold glare as a warning sign, but choice to remain by her side anyways. |
The twins stopped infront of the school, observing it closely. "So, this is it....It looks more like a jail than a school." Kyle said to his brother, who was as hyper as always. "Kyle, don't be such a bum," Alex said excitedly, "It seems fun!" Kyle sighed, before the two walked into the building.
Alex eagerly looked around. "Let's get a dorm!" He said, a big grin on his face. Kyle nodded, knowing Alex expected them to share a dorm, as Alex was too scared to have his own, even though he refused to admit it. After picking a random dorm, Alex was the first to go and start jumping on the bed. "Alex, that's not a trampoline. You're going to break it." Kyle scolded, and sighed as he was ignored. His brother was to much work, and they were nothing alike. Kyle immediatly pulled out a book, which always calmed him down when Alex was to much of a hastle. |
Tok sighed, seeing the amount of people increase around her. If she hid herself in her dorm again then she would feel more like a coward then she already was, lurking in the doorway. She stepped outside and into the hallways, petting Lucifer as she went along. She could hear violent jumps on a bed coming from one of the dorms at a far end. How childish.
It was at that time Tok came to realize just how thirsty she was. Due to the cold she hadn't noticed, but now she had finally settled in. She had forgotten when the last time she had something to drink, or eat for that matter. Where would a drinking fountain be? I could assume by the bathroom... Then again were would the bathroom be? In her mind Tok began to panic, finding a bathroom for her was like trying to lead a bat to one. She wouldn't show it though, her face stone emotionless as she walked forward in a daze. Suddenly Lucifer was sent back with a hiss, Tok shortly following as she picked up the distinct sent. Tobacco? She looked around, finding the figure which held the strongest sent. "Oi." She said silently, walking over. "That's not good for you're health." What an idiotic thing to say! You'd might as well ask him where the bathroom is while you're at it, at least think of something better before you speak!" She argued in her head. |
Darren sighed when he heard someone comment on his smoking. He turned to tell the person off but stopped when he realized it was a girl. He looked her up and down noticing that her eyes seemed out of focus. Then he noticed the snake. "Not really. Smoke doesn't bother me. Though I guess I am addicted to the nicotine." He shrugged since he knew he was also addicted to caffine. And really he was demon spawn he should have addictions. "Not often I see girls so close with snakes. What is his name?" He stopped then realized he was being rude. "And yours? I am Darren by the way."
|
Tok still kept a pretty skeptic face, trying with difficultly to look at the person's face. Even if it was fine with him, it certainly wasn't good for her own health. Lucifer twitched uncomfortably, keeping himself close to Tok's neck in what looked like a protective position. She made a soft cooing sound in an attempted to calm her friend down. "It's okay." She said, turning her gaze back up.
"I figure anything goes at this school." She said back, looking out the window. The snow outside looked so innocent when she was inside, like it couldn't harm her at all. Tok was still getting a very uneasy feeling about this place, but if Lucifer didn't mind she wouldn't either. "I'm Tok, this is Lucifer." She introduced them both. "I would welcome you to the school but I haven't been here since today myself, plus I don't have the pep to provide any warm welcomes." |
Darren sighed once again. He could see the look on her face that meant she didn't approve of the smoking. He lifted his hand and put the cigarate out on it. It looked like it should hurt but it didn't and wouldn't even leave a mark. He placed the remander of his cigarate behind his ear. Normally he would have just puffed smoke in the person's face but she hadn't actually asked him to put it out so he could be nice this once.
"It looks like you take good care of him. It is good to meet both of you. Sadly it doesn't seem like much is warm around here." He waved at the window. "I do hate the cold. I bet as much as your little friend does." He put his hand out near the snake. "Hello little cousin." |
