"Oh." Jae blinked. He wondered what it'd be like for him to have an injured knee. He was an athlete, and sports were his life; the reason he was popular, besides his good looks. If he had an injured knee, he'd be completely useless...

The muscular teenager shook himself out of his trance. He noticed he had been getting awfully scholarly lately, and it actually kind of annoyed him. "Well~" Jae blew a few loose strands of hair out of his face and looked at Tabitha. "I'm pretty good friends with your PE teacher, the one that's the head of the department." That particular PE teacher was also one of his soccer coaches. "I could probably get him to believe you, if you want."

Terry grinned at the suggestion made by Jae. That was a good start. "My father owns several corporations. In the name of Charity, but really fame, he gives money to almost anything. This school is receiving a lot of funds. A letter from him expressing concern in the school for not looking after the welfare of all their students could go a long way. We could use that as a backup to Jae's plan" Terry smiled and looked at her encouraging. To not be able to get out and enjoy life sounded rough. However, there had to be other things she enjoyed doing that could take the place of the more active activities. Particularly those the PE teachers and coaches were all so fond of.

Jolene walked towards the gym. Head up, shoulders straight, a cool look that carefully masked all emotion, and her perfect outfit hopefully would keep people from pestering her too much. She didn't need to be in this position. A position where she would invariably want to help others. She sure wish she could get lessons from that guy who had helped cover the incident with her hand by the river. He behaved as she tried to. It didn't always work for her. As she approached she saw Klaus outside.

"Unhappy with your home life?" Alison questioned, "Moms not on drugs, is she?"

"No, Alison. But she is acting strange." Alyssa turned her attention back to her friend. "That sounds lovely, Lyssa. I'm sure I can get to know this Joyeuse better." Alyssa was suprized at her own willingness to be around this girl that she never met.

"Strange how?" Alison questioned.

Alyssa told her everything. How their mother would always go out at night, how she didn't want her in the house often, how she was with a different guy every night smelling of alcohol and the smoke of a bar.

"Well, I'm glad it sounds nice to you. Hopefully this meeting will be over soon, I was forced on to a dance comity in Germany and it made me feel like pulling me teeth out. I swear it's there's some stupid theme--or we have to decide on one. I'm sure we could all agree that 'Tropical Paradise' and 'Think Pink' is out of the question. I could go for a rave type setting and contribute the lights in my garage," Lyssa grinned.

Tabitha was a bit surprised that both of them offered to help her with this problem. “Thank you for the offer, but I don’t know.” She much rather handle things herself in her own way, but she also knew that her mom would be pissed when she found out. “Let me think about it for a bit. I really do appreciate the help you’re offering so don’t get me wrong.” There was a slight frown on her face as she started to feel uneasy. In her mind she was over thinking things and fearing that they would misunderstand her like people usually did.

“Yeah I can’t believe that I got stuck with doing this, especially with people of a lower class. It’s so unfair, anyway bye guys. I’ll talk to you tomorrow.“ Nikita bid her friends farewell outside of the gym. Once they were gone she sighed slightly, trying to mentally prepare herself for dealing with this new problem. After few moments she entered the gym, her head high and mostly ignoring everyone else. She couldn’t believe that Jae and Terry where talking with that little weird musician girl. That girl really needed to learn her place if she thinks she can casually talk to people like them. Of course these were natural thoughts that would come to her mind when she wore her mask. She walked about half way down the bleachers and sat on the bottom row.

Kenshin entered the gym a bored and slightly annoyed look on his face. Ever since that stupid announcement he had girls and even some guys asking him if he could also get them on the homecoming committee. He told them he’d see what he could do, but he didn’t even know how he ended up on the committee. This made most of them laugh thinking he was silly. They told him it was only natural that he would be on the committee since almost everyone in the school like him and thought he was cool. It was because he was popular. Seeing Jae and a few other familiar faces he walked over to the small group. He hadn’t realized they were with a girl until he was standing by Jae. Not knowing the situation he elbowed Jae grinning. “Trying to pick up a date for homecoming?”

Terry laughed at Kenshin's comment, "No no. She had a problem with something and we were just offering her some help is all." He looked back at Tabitha, "If you change you mind, just say so okay. Life's no fun without people watching your back for you. Tell us how it goes okay." With a grin, he stood up and stretched. "If you all will excuse me, I'm going to just go get rid of some of this restless energy. And I think I know someone who is supposed to show up for this homecoming stuff who might be hesitating outside. I might just drag her in while I am at it." With that, Terry headed for the door of the gym.

Once Terry had invited him and Jae to help with Tabitha's problem, Stephen immediately went over to where they were and sat just one bleacher above the three. Instead of saying anything, however, he was content to just listen to all the suggestions being made. He couldn't think of anything else that he could add to help Tabitha and he was sure Terry and Jae's combined efforts would be enough anyway. Even if the musician opted to think over the two boys' offers, Stephen deemed her problem was concluded for now and turned his attention to the entirety of the gym once again.

More people had arrived, and, as the soccer player had pointed out earlier, there was a teacher finally present. Terry had gone outside to drag someone in. Another student approached them and began talking to Jae. The blue haired Kenshin needed no introduction as he was well known throughout the school. Three girls sat together on another part of the bleachers. They had been talking to each other for a while now. While he wasn't sure of the other two, he was familiar with the one with bright blue hair. He had seen her around town a lot, always on her skateboard. Every once in a while Stephen would catch her doing a complicated trick which never ceases to impress him. Because of this, he once thought to try his hand at skateboarding using his brother's old board. He felt lucky to have practiced in secret because the few attempts he had made to stay on the thing were nothing short of embarrassing. In the end the carrot-top gave up, seeing no real progress for him in the immediate future.

Klaus sat by himself at one end of the bleachers, looking somewhat ill-tempered. Stephen found himself staring at him the longest. Once he realized this though, he immediately turned his gaze elsewhere. Then he spotted a blond haired girl in Chinese influenced attire sit on the lowest level. Before the start of his second year, he had never thought there would be anyone an average student wouldn't want to run into more than the cheerleader, Alexandra Burns.
But Nikita Johnson made him believe.

Oh how he used to laugh at his friend, Tess, whenever she would instantly put as much distance between herself and any hallway Nikita and her group were rumored to be walking through. Unfortunately, after personally experiencing the severe harassment her clique could inflict in the short time between classes, Stephen joined Tess' tireless campaign to avoid them as well. He had attempted to get back at some of them on occasion, but soon learned they could get even meaner when they find some of their things vandalized or missing.

Jae rolled his eyes at Kenshin's comment. Even if he did go to Homecoming with Tabitha, Nikita would probably torment him endlessly about it. In fact, the popular girl known for her meaness was already sizing the musician up, most likely thinking of the best way to make fun of the girl. Jae turned to Tabitha and gave her a reassuring smile. "Well, Tabi, tell us when you make your mind up."

"Hey, let's sit over there." Jae poked Kenshin and pointed to the row behind Nikita. He walked over to the snobby girl, who seemed extremely pissed. "'Sup, Niki?" Jae greeted her as he sat directly behind her with her nickname and rested his feet on the seat next to her. "This committee thing sucks, doesn't it?"

"A rave sounds really fun!" Alyssa replied, Alison simply nodded and returned to her music. "Ive never been to a real rave before. But the odds of everyone here going for that..." Alyssa trailed off, for a quick listen to other conversations.

Jolene walked calmly into the gym behind Terry with her head held high. She made sure her outfit and hair were to perfection before getting this far, but still she wished for a mirror. Not to check her clothes or makeup, but her expression. She wanted to appear cool and non-caring of others. The complete opposite of her true self. She gave Terry's back a glare for a second as she remembered the last three minutes. How he had sauntered out of the gym and right up to her. Giving her one of his most charming smiles, he had held out his hand and invited her in. Then while she was looking for a reason to split, he had grabbed her around the neck and swung her on towards the gym. Oh course she smacked him. What did he expect. He had tolerantly laughed it off while she blushed in humiliation. Only he could make her lose her cool and temper. Now they were going back inside. Lovely. How was she supposed to do this? Actually work with others? This was what she had been hiding from for the last few years.

"A rave does sound like fun, but it probably won't fly for everyone--I overheard there's a band for it already. I went to a couple of rave's before I moved to America, but I also threw a couple myself. You would be amazed how many people show up to them for the good music and a positive atmosphere. Maybe if I can't help the school out I can throw one for an after party at my place--I'm rather good with a turn-table and handful of mixed soundtracks," Lyssa grinned.

Terry wondered how he was supposed to explain the red mark on his face from Jolene slapping him. He thought that this could be amusing. He held the gym door open for her and then led the way to the bleachers. "Tabitha, Jae, Kenshin, Stephen... meet Jolene. Jolene, meet everyone." He went and took a seat.

Klaus noticed the others coming in. "Tch..." he looks away. He really didn't want to be there, but he had no choice in the matter. He sighs, and wondered when the dam thing would start. Getting annoyed was not his favorite thing. At the moment he noticed someone sit near him. He looked up, noticing Haru nearby. He thought Haru was unique...and in a strange way he admired him. Haru was one of the few he didn't feel were hiding something and were truly themselves.

Haru sat on the bleachers. He smiled and scanned the people in the room. He felt all tingly inside. He was wxcided and would like to see where this was going. He tilts his head and noticed Klaus was watching him a bit. He gives an excited wave. He then noticed the more popular people entering and bites his lip. He knew they all thought he was a freak. He sighs a bit then smiles again, he didn't care what people thought at all. His watch beeps, and he slips out his pill for the time. He didn't use water as usual, and didn't even flinch when it stuck in his throat a bit.

Akira and Setsutarou were late (not that anyone could have predicted). Akira jogged up the bleachers and sat down at the very top. If people wanted to stare or glare at her, they'd have to turn around. This way, she could smirk back at them. Nothing they did could disturb her. They were after all petty highschoolers. What could they possibly do? Spread rumors? Like that hasn't been done already. Everyone of them had a rumor about themselves.

Terry wondered where the other teachers were. There was only one here. Well, this was a school event. Either someone should open this up somehow or the teacher should take charge. He wasn't sure exactly how this was going to go down.

Lyssa grinned ear to ear, "Nah, I'll throw one for an after party and bring it up once everyone arrives because I'm sure we all have homework to get done and our educations are the things that matter the most right now. Leisure comes after work and never before--that and I have to tell mein Vater, so that he knows ahead of time--he's kind of on a need to know basis. I told about you last nice Alyssa, he said he was sorry he couldn't meet you yesterday because his work kept him a bit later than usual."

“Alright, I’ll let you know.” Tabitha had blushed slightly because of Kenshin’s comment and was very relieved when Jae suggested that they go sit somewhere else. She fidgeted a little as she sat there. All this unwanted attention was getting to her, which was strange since she had no problem performing in front of large groups. Then again maybe it did make since when she performed all she had to focus on was her music. She turned around she stared at Kenshin curiously. Why did he apologize to me? Figuring it was best not to put too much thought into it she looked over at Stephen. “So any clue how you got stuck with this committee thing? I know I don’t have a clue how I did.”

Hearing Terry, she glanced over. She recognized Jolene from a couple of her classes. To be polite she waved slightly. “Hey Jolene.” While waving she noticed Terry had a red mark on his cheek. I wonder what happened. Did Jolene slap him for something? Jolene didn’t seem like the type to do something like that, but one never knew for sure who a person was without really getting to know them.

Nikita glanced up at Jae and Kenshin, a little grin on her lips. “Nothing much, just thinking about how I’m going to teach a certain person a lesson. It is overdue I think.” Her gaze fell on the girl, Tabitha, whom Jae and Terry had been speaking with before going back to the boys. “It really does, I have better things to be doing then this. Anyway what have you two been up to?” Like she didn’t already know pretty much what everyone in the school was up to with her little spies all over the place. Playing the role she had chosen for herself after entering high school had its advantages.

Kenshin chuckled seeing how Jae and Tabitha reacted to his comment. He glanced to where Jae pointed after poking him. “Sure, it might be fun.” Before following his friend he leaned close to Tabitha, “sorry, I was only joking,” he whispered lightly. Taking a seat behind Nikita as well, he let Jae do the talking.

"Not sure either.", Stephen replied, shrugging his shoulders. "I suppose one of the detention teachers might have suggested putting me in here to keep me from having time to cause trouble. That or they know my parents run a gardening store. I'll probably get stuck with bringing in some plants for decoration." He wouldn't really mind if that was the actual reason. In middle school, teachers have often asked him about his parents' business, eventually become frequent customers. Mostly, they would order flower arrangements or wreaths for events held at the school. But it had been a while since he ever mentioned his family's trade so it wouldn't have surprised him if his membership to the committee was indeed to keep him preoccupied. "The reason you're here should be pretty obvious. You're good with music! What's a dance without good songs, after all? You might be asked to take care of the DJ or band that'll be performing. Maybe you'll even be asked to sing..."

Stephen trailed off once Terry returned. The person he had sought out to retrieve walked just behind him. He then introduced her as Jolene, to whom Stephen gave the greeting, "Nice to meet ya!", after Tabitha. Then he looked to Terry and, pointing to his own cheek at about the spot where Terry had a prominent red mark, asked with a grin, "Lovers quarrel?"

Jae tied his shoelace as he whispered back to Kenshin. "Oh, I know. And you really should joke more, you know." He focused back on Nikita and glanced to where her eyes looked to after she spoke about getting revenge, which was something Jae didn't really understand thatnwell, since the jock was always laid back and relaxed.

He raised an eyebrow at Nikita's question. "Well, Niki, you probably know already, don't you? After all, you do have those little minions who practically do whatever you say." Jae chuckled and stretched to loosen up his muscles. The dark-haired jock took a short glance around the room. "Come on, when does this thing start already? I have better things to do than sit here and wait for people..." Jae stared off into space for a moment. "...By the way, do you guys know where Alexandra went? I haven't seen her all day."

Mr. Sharp headed towards the Gym and he wondered to himself, Why did they pick me for this homecoming committee? Mr. Sharp wasn't into this kind of high school activity, let alone the fact he never went to his own homecoming. He only went during his senior year because of his girlfriend, and he really didn't like it much.

When Mr. Sharp got to the gym, he saw quite a bit of students and he wondered if he was the only teacher here. He then took out the packet that was given to him by the vice principal about the homecoming. Mr. Sharp had no idea what he was doing, and nor did he know how to conduct this meeting if he had to do it all by himself.

"We'll start the meeting shortly," Mr. Sharp said to the students as he waited for the other teachers.

Sebastian ran into the gym a little flustered. "Sorry, I'm late. I had a student stay behind to finish his test," he said to the other teacher. He didn't really mind if he was picked to chaperon these students as long as it didn't bother with his schedule or ability to correct things and give it back. He looked at the bleachers and was shocked. Some looked like the types who would decorate for a school dance while others were the complete opposite. "Looks like we're going to have fun with this crew, uh?"

"That's all right, Mr. Hasley," Mr. Sharp said as he looked around the gym and wondered how this group of students are going to be able to work together. That brought Mr. Sharp back to his high school years. Where he saw an unlikely group of seniors pull off a homecoming parade. Mr. Sharp though managed to hide in one of the floats. Mr. Sharp snapped out of his flash back and smiled. "Yeah, I hope they don't tear each other a part."

Mr. Sharp said that as he pushed up his glasses and smirked a bit.

Jolene looked coolly towards the teachers. They were the ones she got along with the most at this school. She stood and strode over. The three teachers seemed as uncertain about this as she felt and most of the students looked. Figuring she could at least say hi, she walked up to them. Knodding to Knight in greeting since he was sitting by himself, she wondered why the other two didn't join him since they were all teachers. Maybe they hadn't noticed him. She turned to Mr. Sharp and Sebastian and said, "Hi. Thought I would come over and ask if we were going to wait longer for more to show up or if one of you were going to get started soon. The only reason I ask is because some announcement of what we are to expect or should do soon would be greatly beneficial to the restlessness in the room." She smiled sweetly at them while still maintaining a profession, if not cool, pose. Being teacher's pet had its advantages... but it also had its disadvantages such as being the one to ask when things were going to start.
