"It's alright, really. There's a monster that lurks in me too, just beneath the shadows. Sometimes it makes me hit people over the head with my guitar and sometimes it makes me want to drain a person's energy until they die from it. I know what it's like to loose control. It happened a lot when I was first turned, and trust me, I did some horrible things." He ran his hand over her ears gently again. "At least you didn't do anything terrible." He glanced at the other energy vampire and watched her for a few moments. Kerian wasn't sure her idea was a sound one, she was probably just looking for an excuse to feed, and Ziva might be gullible enough to fall for it. He glanced at Roland and could tell the human was thinking the same thing. Vampires just couldn't be trusted.
"That doesn't make sense, vampire. The beast inside of her is a part of her, it shares her body, mind, soul and it would share her energy. There shouldn't be different energies." Kerian hadn't felt different energies when he had fed from her. It had all felt like the same, the leopard shared the energy with her the same as it shared her body. It didn't really make sense that her leopard self would have different energy separate from her non-leopard self. Of course the energy would change subtly when she went into her leopard form but it wasn't two different energies. At least, that was what Kerian had felt when he had fed from her a while ago.
Roland had glared at the blind vampire. "Stop being so vampirey." He didn't really know anything about energy or how much energy or how much different energy a therian would or should have. Still it didn't make logical sense to him that there would be two different energies inside of Ziva, one for leopard Ziva and one for non-leopard Ziva. Wouldn't that be the same has having another person inside of one body? Roland shook his head slightly. He watched Kerian for a few moments, at least Keri seemed like a decent and understanding fellow. For a vampire. That blind girl, to Roland it just seemed like she was making more excuses for why she should be able to feed on Ziva. Roland didn't like that one bit.

('Stop being so Vampirey' That cracked me up XD. That just about made my day))
Ziva was deep in thought for a moment as the vampire spoke, all her guilt and shame replaced with worry instead. There shouldn't be two distinct energies like that... at least not that distinct, as if they were two different souls. She frowned to herself, a thought tugging at the corner of her mind. It was possible she'd created another self, she'd heard tales... but they were suppose to be just that, tales. They weren't suppose to be real. She only noticed as her ears were patted, causing her to blush. She suppressed a purr and hid more in Keri's shoulder, unaware how it looked for her to nuzzle innocently into it like that.
As Keri spoke, however, she was even more confused. Did she have two energies or not? As she thought it though he would continue speaking and spoke of doing something bad. She lowered her head slightly and a few more tears fell. She'd nearly killed her brother and a few other people... maybe she had killed someone when she blacked out at first, she wasn't sure. She'd heard her brother had become a hunter or something when he grew up but she didn't dare go near her family enough to find out. She shook her head, not able to speak a moment. Still as the tensions grew she spoke.
"I...Please don't fight everyone..." Ziva whispered. She wasn't worth it in her opinion and she didn't want anyone to fight either way. She had hurt enough people, she didn't need to hurt more. She hid further, her ears lowering slightly as she resisted the urge to mew. She was unsure what to say. So much attention all focused on her!
***
Theia tilted her head to the side and realized he didn't realize what he'd unconsciously done. If one sought out the cause of supernatural evil rumors when one traveled, could one find anything but evil? did he ever seek out rumors of a good vampire? She doubted it. She sighed and simply shook her head, he wasn't ready to let that information in she didn't think. Even if she was reaching him that didn't mean a vampire could...
"I know many ... including my adoptive father. Most are outside this school, however, as i do not know all the students yet. I don't invade auras or minds of students so I can't just list students, I have to get to know them first... If you really want to learn, to understand, I'd suggest you do the same. Chandra'd know more though, she's in charge of the vampire dorm...I'm in charge of donors. Chandra might not like you at first though, She's too protective of me" Theia answered quietly as she gazed at him quietly a moment. She wasn't sure if he was ready for that...

Frowning in the energy vampire's general direction, Gail sighed. So he wasn't as sensitive. She supposed it was a part of losing a sense; all other senses were enhanced. Still, the irony of his calling her a vampire made her chuckle briefly before she spoke. "They're only identical when they're working together," she explained, tapping her foot. "Without that synergy, they'll never work together, and two things not working together can't be the same. And you, Mister, need to butt out. You aren't a vampire, so how would you have any idea of knowing? Does it mean nothing that, had I wanted to, I could have fed already?"
Turning to the Therian, whose name she still didn't know, she asked, "Will you permit me to help you, cheri?" By this time, she had knelt in front of the girl, her dress being only a bit awkward. She held out her hand to the girl, smiling sweetly as usual. "I know you can feel it. Those feelings and urges that aren't yours, but keep bubbling up. Just trust me, kay?"
~~~
Seeing Theia tilt her head made him think that she didn't believe him, which resulting in his defence. "Well, if you think about it, it makes sense. Most good vampires don't want to interact with humans because they're afraid of being discovered and the consequences that would follow, right?" he said, frowning, though it was mostly to himself. "Therefore, it makes sense that I wouldn't have seen, or met, a good vampire. Only the cruel ones show themselves to the public, albeit in discreet ways."
"I see. That makes it a bit harder. How do you start a conversation with a vampire? 'Hey, there! So... fangs, are they great for sucking blood or what?' It just doesn't seem right, does it?" he said, hoping to elicit a laugh of some kind. Their conversation positively reeked of seriousness, and he couldn't help but try and lighten it a bit.
Roland glared hard at the blind vampire. He didn't need to be a vampire to know when someone was acting all vampirey. Vampires would say or do anything into manipulating people to give in to their will. He scoffed lightly at her. "I don't need to be a vampire to know how manipulative you people can be. Nor do I need to be a vampire to know that what you're saying doesn't make any kind of logical sense. Honestly, you're the one that needs to butt out. You came waltzing over her without an invitation to get yourself involved in someone else's affairs." What was wrong with him? Speaking out like that, and against a vampire. Roland generally didn't do that kind of thing. "And you won't feed from someone without their permission or you'll get kicked out of this school." Then again, maybe the blind girl didn't want to be in this place?
Kerian held Ziva gently, softly running his hand over her ears. She seemed to like being petted there, and maybe it would help her feel better? Or maybe not. Kerian sighed softly. This blind woman's words made even less sense than before, and Kerian would have definitely felt two distinct energies when he had fed from Ziva. Even if they were or weren't in synergy with each other, Keri would have known. This woman, what was she trying to do? She sounded almost genuine in her want to help Ziva, but her words didn't make any logical sense at all. When the woman knelt down, Kerian pulled Ziva even closer to himself and turned around so his back was to the blind woman and his body was between her and Ziva. "The human is right, if anyone should butt out, it's you, blindy. And you most certainly will not feed from anyone who isn't a willing donor, nor will you do it without their permission. I'll make sure you or anyone else that does something like that get's kicked out. This is a place of peace, so go away so we can have some damn peace."
Ziva shivered as her ears were petted again. It did feel nice, just like it would to any cat, even if it made her bite her lip to keep from purring again. It just didn't seem appropriate all things considered. She wished they wouldn't fight...She hated fighting. It made her curl into his shoulder harder, something she became very aware of when he tightened the hug and moved her away from the blind vampire a little bit. She flushed, suddenly very aware of how close they were.... Considering what she had done earlier it was a little too close.
She gripped his shirt lightly as she prepared to push herself away but the fight got her attention again. No matter what she did something bad would happen. She frowned, uncertain if she could take facing that personality again if her energy was messed with. It didn't seem so much what was drained but just that her careful balance was disturbed. She sighed softly and finally came to a decision.
"Feeding without permission is highly against the rules, you're suppose to see Chandra or Theia if you want to feed. Still, I... I'm not sure I'm suppose to be fed on so soon but we can settle this by just trying it. Then we'll know. K...Kerian? If I let her will you.. make sure I.. I don't do anything....foolish?" She asked quietly. She was so ashamed at the idea of acting like that again, and with him here it seemed a real possibility. Still, it seemed the only way they'd stop fighting is if she just got it over with. She was so tired of the fighting already...
***
Theia gave him a half smile at his joke but it still seemed rather silly. Had he really never just talked to a vampire? Not once? She shook her head slightly at the absurdity considering his judgements of them but it made sense. Considering how he had talked at a mere mention of vampires earlier what vampire would WANT to talk to him? It'd seem positively suicidal.
"I find Hi, how are you works better" Theia said with a small smile. She kept her mental eye on Ziva and the group, however, as she could sense something was...odd. Something in Ziva's energy was quivering, something that didn't seem to belong. She frowned ot herself, she'd have to do some investigation. She'd known many a therian with their energy out of sink with their animal before but this was...different. Something was wrong.
"Yeah, because I'm sure she came to you pleading for help!" Gail snapped at the boy. "Lord you are a hypocrite. And for your information, I'd rather help someone and get kicked out of school than sit by and abide by the rules." Of course, this anger only masked the hurt she felt at being accused of such awful things. Really, she only had a backbone until she was done being angry. They were just lucky that Elysia didn't decide to step in already. Usually she did before any harm could come to Gail in any way.
Still, the happiness that she felt when the girl decided to trust her was genuine. She took the time to walk around the other energy vampire with a bit of annoyance, making sure to tap him with her can several times as she did so. It wasn't so bad on a sidewalk or something, but the grass could hold all sorts of nasty surprises. Even with her cane, she ended up hitting a mound and falling over, mentally cursing the other vampire as she slowly rose to her feet and turned to the girl. The energy was sitting just beneath the surface, and Gail took it gently.
As she pulled, though, she allowed it to dissipate into the air, refusing the two boys the satisfaction of seeing her eat. Due to the imperfect nature of what she was doing, she did end up pulling just a hair below perfect balance, a fact which made her frown. In millilitres it was equivalent to about seventy-two, but it still bothered her. Not that she wouldn't be fine, of course. It's just that she didn't do a perfect job. As the energy cloud dissipated completely, she walked back over to her sister, grabbing onto her arm and leaning on her.
~~~
"I suppose that would work as well," Jiao responded, smiling right along with her. It was good that he had broken the tension in the air. "Quick question though, should I avoid mentioning the weather? You know, something like, 'Don't you just love this weather? Plenty of sunshine!'" Again, he wasn't serious, but it showed how he had calmed down. In fact, he seemed a different person, though that was simply a conscious change. It would take much longer for it to become a part of his nature. Seeing her distracted, he almost askedi f something was wrong, but figured that she'd tell him in her own time. Really, it was strange having someone not hate him after growing up in the opposite scenario. It made for quite an interesting contrast.

Roland glared hard at the blind vampire. "You don't know if she did or didn't come pleading to me for help." As far as Roland was concerned he certainly was not a hypocrite. He wasn't the one trying to sweet talk an innocent girl into letting him absorb her energy or whatever it was these kinds of vampires did. He certainly wasn't making up illogical excuses either. Roland wanted to say more, but instead he just glared as the blind vampire stumbled around before she began to feed on Ziva. He clenched his fists. Even if Ziva said it was okay, Roland didn't think it was, but he didn't say anything else. Only glared. Roland of course could not see the cloud of energy so he had to assume that the blind girl fed on the energy so he was a little confused by what Kerian said about letting the energy float around.
Kerian's grip around Ziva tightened again, then relaxed. He didn't want to squeeze her too hard. "Are you sure?" Before Ziva could even answer his question the blind vampire was making her way around to the girl. When she stumbled, Kerian had to fight hard to resist the urge to reach out and steady her. She was being presumptuous and not even waiting for a confirmation. No matter how much against his nature it was, he wouldn't help her when she stumbled. He also told himself it was because she kept hitting him with her walking stick. He was sorely tempted to take it from her. Kerian glared hard at her. "So, feeding from someone against their will, and feeding from them only minutes after they've been fed from is helping?" Kerian shook his head and watched. He blinked. What the hell was that vampire doing? She pulled the energy out but didn't absorb it.
He shifted on his feet, the energy didn't dissipate, it couldn't just disappear. It had to be absorbed or used up, energy wasn't something that just vanished without being expended. Honestly Kerian wouldn't be surprised if that energy went right back into Ziva, where it originally belonged. He watched the energy cloud as it hovered there, quivered in the air, constantly in motion even when immobile. "How exactly is that helping?" He glanced at Roland, of course the human couldn't see the energy. Kerian shook his head and frowned as the energy began to move back towards Ziva. "..Idiot..If your going to help, then actually help. Don't half-ass things. If your going to eat, then eat. Don't be wasteful and don't let the energy float around." Keri reached out, not physically, but drew the floating energy to himself, and into himself. His tone was much kinder when he spoke to Ziva. "You alright, kitten?"

Ziva closed her eyes and focused even more then usual. She would clamp on the beast as tight as she could and just hold on for dear life. She felt something stir, something foreign and dark which she attributed to an unknown vampire, Gail, feeding on her. She didn't realize that she was holding onto Keri tighter for doing so, that Gail stumbled, or anything really. She was so focused she didn't even realize that Gail hadn't fed or that Keri had absorbed the energy afterwards. She wouldn't move, would barely breath. She only stirred as she was spoken too by the familiar guitarist. She flushed deeply, the gentle tone of voice and the pet name making it all feel rather.... intimate.
"I...i..er..I'm fine" She stuttered. She glanced up at him, the blush deepened as she did so. It was just too close! She didn't know how to deal with it, or the hunger of the beast that had nothing to do with meat. She pulled away slightly, if only to get a little room to breathe. She'd just met him, how could she cling to him so instinctively...? Nothing made sense to her all the sudden. She glanced at Roland then, more to distract herself than anything.
"T..Thank you ...for earlier...I..I'm Ziva by the way" She mumbled to roland, though the last was to everyone. She inwardly mused over the earlier nickname, her tail twisting slightly. Kitten was used as a put down in her pack but when Keri said it, that wasn't how it made her feel at all. It made her feel.. special, treasured.
***
Theia simply shook her head at the question, now he was just trying to get her to react. Still, he would receive a smile for his efforts. She was too distracted to answer, however, as she felt something near Ziva. It disappeared as quick as it came but it was dark enough that it made her feel physically ill. She shivered and clutched her head a moment, appearing as if she would fall over. She closed her eyes and focused on putting up a wall since Ziva seemed to feel better now. She wouldn't let herself get sick... she just wouldn't!
***
Elysia frowned at the group, unable to hear a word. They were too angry and speaking to fast for her to read their lips clearly and so only caught a fraction of the conversation. It didn't help taht for part of it some people were turned away and Ziva kept her head down the whole time. She was about to ask Gail to translate when the girl began to fall. Out of instinct she rushed forward but Gail was already standing. She pouted a moment but as Gail returned she would put her arms around the other girl's waist and hold her almost protectively. She was looking at the others slightly harder now, not sure what was going on but well aware of the dislike and anger aimed at her sister.
~What's going on? You pulled her energy but didn't feed and everyone's all angry...~ She whined to Gail, wanting an explanation.

"For all of your self-righteousness, you really don't understand much, do you?" she said, frowning. She hadn't fed, and they still weren't happy? In fact, the vampire was angry over her not feeding? They were such weirdos. "That energy would have been used by plants and other life-forms all over the place. I was only leaving it go to make you people happy." Of course, this time she made sure to send the same words to her sister, feeling a bit embarrassed that she hadn't earlier though she did add a touch more. "They're mad because they don't understand."
Hearing Ziva say that she felt fine, Gail tipped her head, turning to walk away, though she kept her hand on her sister's arm. She really didn't want to fall one more time. Bye, Ziva! Hope you sort things out, and I'll see you around, kay?" she said, waving her arm over her head. "I suppose we should go see Chandra, eh sis? We should really get a list of those rules they were talking about. Not to mention we should introduce ourselves properly," she said, hugging her sister's arm tightly.
~~~
Seeing Theia smiled continued to put Jiao at ease, though when she suddenly shivered and clutched her head, he switched modes. He grabbed a glass of water and held it out to her carefully. "What is it? What's wrong? Do you need a specific medicine or something? Come on, speak to me," he said, pacing as he wrung his hands. "If your sister thinks that I did it, I'm a dead man. You know that, right?"
~~~
As she finished up the drawing, Beth stretched. Surprisingly, that had been... enjoyable. Drawing what she wanted instead of just a bowl of fruit was oddly rewarding. After standing, she made her way to the little kitchenette to make some more tea, frowning at her phone. What was her mother pulling? Sending her a plane on the first day of school so she could come to her stupid coronation. Was she really clueless? Did she somehow miss the fact that Beth had been happy to leave? Still, that's not what Beth thought it was. Her mother was a schemer, and a good one at that. She wouldn't call her daughter back home unless there was something to gain. It was probably a last minute change in plans considering the earlier text message she had gotten.
Regardless, she had already made up her mind that she wasn't going to go, though she felt sort of odd about the whole thing. While her telepathic powers weren't as strong as her psychokinetic ones, she still had a touch of them. Was it clairvoyance? She just couldn't shake the feeling that something bad was going to happen the next day, especially for her. Maybe Theia would like to talk about it? Grabbing her phone, she decided to send her a text. It was simple: "Do you want to talk tonight? I've got something on my mind."

Theia couldn't help but rest her head on her arms. She put her head on the table and felt a little dizzy. The last thing that had made her feel that way was a demon she was exorcizing. She frowned to herself but couldn't help and chuckle as he spoke. He hadn't met her sister but he already knew at least one thing very well... she couldn't argue with him, he was right.
"You have a point... are you sure you haven't met my sister? But No...No... Just got a bit of bad energy, was too tuned into something going on... I'll be fine in a minute..." She mumbled in response. She looked up a moment as she spoke and gave Jiao and easy smile. His concern was kinda cute. She didn't have time to dwell on it too long, however, as her cell played the theme set for a text message. It was a happy, energetic little tune.
Theia reached downward and glanced it. She raised an eyebrow at it but sent back that she would 'love to' talk. She forced herself to stand, pushing away the nausea. Being one of the strongest psychics in the world had it's draw backs... the wrong kind of energy could make her sicker then a Vamp feeding on the wrong kind...She shook her head to clear it a moment before she put her cell away.
"I gotta head out... friend needs me. You'll be okay right?" She asked quietly. For all her earlier anger at him she seemed to have already forgotten it and was treating him with the same concern she'd treat a friend...which to her was just about anything that breathed.

Kerian couldn't help but laugh. "You're the one that doesn't understand anything. You come over here acting like you know everything about everything. That kind of energy can't be absorbed by plants. Everyone knows that, it isn't the right kind of energy and plants can't convert it to useable energy. It would have gone right back into Ziva. And how is you wasting energy going to make any of us happy? You said you were going to help, letting the energy just float back into her isn't helping. Are you really that stupid?" Kerian shook his head as the blind girl left with the other girl. He was a little surprised the other girl hadn't butted in at all. Maybe she was much smarter than the blind one. Kerian couldn't stand people like that blind girl, butting in and acting like she knew more than she really did. Kerian ran a hand through Ziva's hair before backing away from her a step. "Don't let people like her push you around. If you didn't want her to do it, you have a right to say 'no'."
Roland was silent, just watching the blind girl walk away with the other girl. He shook his head a bit. He didn't really like people like that either. She had known less about what was wrong with Ziva than Roland had and yet she all of a sudden knew everything. Know it alls. He smiled slightly at Ziva. "I'm Roland. So, are you feeling better then?"

Ziva blushed as the cute vampire ran his hand through her hair, not sure what to think. Sure it all felt really nice but at the same time she just hadn't experienced anything like it. She'd never even really held a guy's hand and yet snuggling with him felt natural. It was ironic really... it was natural to the point of scaring her a little all things considered. She still wanted to be curled up in his shoulder when she should be thinking of more important things.
As Gail spoke she waved good bye, managing a smile even though the other couldn't see it. Perhaps her sister would relay it. She then glanced back to the two men, still red as a tomato from how she had basically thrown herself into Keri's arms and still couldn't say why. Sure he was cute but so was well... Jus about everyone at this school. She hadn't seen an ugly person yet..even if she felt incorrectly she was one.
"It...it's alright Kerian. It was better then everyone sitting and fighting... I hate people fighting...and yes roland, thank you. I am feeling better... I just... nevermind. I'm sorry i bothered you." She responded to rolan and Keri quietly. She briefly looked at her toes, feeling even more shy. She wasn't upset anymoer but she still felt awkward with the attention and a little worried. something strange had happened when Kerian fed off her.
***
Elysia nodded to her sister. Still not speaking aloud as she hated to do so she would respond telepathically with the question of if Gail could sense Chandra. She could probably scent her but it would be difficult... just follow the smell of the most powerful vampire blood. It was known that the twins were intensely powerful. Most believed it was because of eachother... with her connection to Gail and how she knew it strengthened her Ely was inclined to agree. She wondered just how powerful they would be if they'd been twins instead of nine months apart.

A few tears streaked down Gail's cheeks as her anger faded, replaced by hurt. Why did those two have to be such jerks? Even though they had thought she was clueless as to what was wrong, she had been the one to solve the issue? Were they really so petty as to latch onto negatives? "She's up ahead," Gail replied, sniffing. "Sometimes, I grateful for my blindness. I see more than that jackass ever will. It's amazing how he didn't feel the plants start to eat it up. Or the beast for that matter. Elysia? If we see him again, could you punch him for me?"
As they grew ever nearer the cabin where Chandra was, Gail lost all pretence of confidence, stopping where she was. "I acutally don't want to see Chandra right now," she explained, sniffling again. "Is there a large tree around somewhere, Elysia? Preferably an oak, as I'm sure you know."
~~~
When Theia said she was fine, Jiao sighed with relief. "Thank God," he said, standing still for the first time since she clutched her head. Then her cellphone went off, scaring the bejeebus out of him as he threw the glass of water on reflex. Then he just stared at the spill on the floor with a scowl. He sighed as Theia explained, waving goodbye to her. "It's fine. I have some meditation to do anyway. See ya later." Then she left. Jiao did exactly as he said, sitting down after cleaning up the spill, and crossing his legs. A few deep breaths later, and he was gone.
~~~
"Oh... okay. Thanks," Beth texted back, surprised at the quick reply. She took it as a good sign though, as it meant that she probably hadn't been busy. While she waited, she decided to go through and unpack all of her stuff, humming a little tune as she did so. Clothes went in the dresser, a simple white sheet and blanket went on the bed, and a picture of a former king went on her desk with her laptop. All in all, it felt like she had finally settled down as she sat and took another drink of tea, a smile playing on her face.

((Some people seem to be confused as to the time of day. It's past sunset already, as it was sunset at the beginning of the RP ^^ Oh, and Staria, I'm really not sure what to post with Ren, I don't want to just put two lines ><' ))
Heiro, having left the scene of the fight after he was sure no further trouble was brewing in the students there, had wandered the grounds a bit, clinging to the shadows the buildings and lamp posts cast. Few had paid him any attention, and those who had rarely had the time to register what they had seen or felt before he walked away again. He had found very dark spot some distance from the main building, in the shadows of a tall oak by the front gate, and had been watching the crowds for only a short time, but his mind would not let him sit still.
Closing his eyes, he leaned against the rough bark of the tree and drew his attention inward, to his deep connection with the shadows, the shade around him wavering slightly in reaction. He then willed it to take him, which it readily responded to by engulfing him in a cold velvet blanket of tangible darkness. He kept his eyes closed, but felt the world fall away, his stomach giving a familiar lurch as his head spun, making him disoriented. within seconds, though, the world righted itself and he opened his eyes, the edge of the forest and the corner of the privacy dorms greeting them.
He gave a light sigh and took a step forward, hearing voices very close by. He really didn't want to deal with more students, though he was supposed to be greeting them and familiarizing himself with those he would be teaching. Then again, why couldn't he just meet them in the comfort of the small numbers he would be dealing with when they had class?
Taking another quick look around, he stepped back from the building, then took a few light running steps before launching himself upward, tucking into a somersault to land on the roof in a crouch. Immediately he snapped his eyes to Chandra, who he had sensed, but not known exactly where she was. Unsure of what to do, he simply stood, allowing her to address him first, if she even chose to acknowledge his presence.

((actually the problems still there and had nothing to do with energy, just to clarify for everybody :P. She just was too distracted by stopping a fight to keep crying >.<))
((Edited, I dunno kage, You could always have him flirt back xD that'd throw Val through a loop lol))
Theia waved goodbye and gave Jiao another one of her infamous, sun rivaling, warm smiles and was gone. She would head to beth's room, skipping a step now and then as she went. She sensed Chandra thinking about coming with her but asked her not to. Honestly she just didn't think Beth needed intimidating right now if she had a problem. Chandra pouted but obeyed and stayed put on the top of the privacy dorm roof like some sort of demonic owl. Theia meanwhile entered the psychic dorm, though she did send a pensive look towards Ziva and company as she passed. There was something wrong still even though whatever it had been was apparently gone. She of all people knew, however, that 'apparently' and 'actually' were two very different things..
"beth? She called as she knocked on the door. She would wait there until the other girl let her in. Once she did so she would perch almost bird like on a chair. It was these bird like movements that made her adoptive father, and the headmaster of the school, call her his little dove and Chandra his little raven. They really were the dotting father's pride and joy, his morning sun in theia and his shining moon in Chandra.
"What's up?" She would ask simply as she gave Beth a warm smile. She was always ready to listen, Ziva would keep...especially as long as she could curl up with the cute vampire who had her still blushing when Theia had passed. Theia was tempted to try to set them up but they seemed to be doing just fine on their own. She had thought Ziva might end up with the therian leader but honestly she'd just be happy for anyone to bring her out of her shell. Ziva was just so shy and so sad it broke Theia's heart.
***
Elysia simply listened as her sister vented and pat her shoulder. She chuckled when she was asked to punch the vampire and was tempted even if she didn't know what was going on, but she wouldn't. She had 'heard' of the premise of this school and somehow she doubted it would be allowed. She wouldn't risk getting kicked out and leaving Gail alone. No... she'd just have to be Order this time... though she might get away with a couple practical jokes or two.
***
Chandra had her arms crossed and looked rather childish as Heiro jumped on the roof. She glanced over and raised an eyebrow. She had not expected that... Did he dislike the Dhamphir too? As Chandra recalled he was one too. She raised a hand in greeting and stood with her hand on her hip as she tilted her head to the side. She was unsure of him really... but unlike most he didn't scare her, he intrigued her.
"Seems you found me this time.." she teased lightly. She was a little irritated he'd seen her pout. She liked to pout on her own thank you very much and she was here first! She knew it was a childish thought but such was her nature... She liked to be just barely jail bait not just because it gave you a good tease of an older man sometimes but it also let her be a child when she wanted to. She doubted heiro'd let her tease him though... he seemed like he might just either laugh at her or turn her into her father...

((You never answered Gail's question about the tree. :P))
Hearing the knock, Beth set her mug of tea down and went to open the door. "You didn't have to come running, you know," Beth said, her voice apologetic. "I hope you weren't busy. I didn't mean to bother you. Would you like a mug of tea?" Already, she had gotten a mug out of the cupboard and on the counter, just waiting for an affirmative as she viewed Theia's strange movements. Absently, she had left her drawing on the table, and moved to pick it up hastily. Just because she enjoyed drawing it didn't mean that it was good enough to show off, though it wasn't like she had wanted to anyway.
Once everything was taken care of, she sat down across from Theia in the small room. "I know it will sound like I'm crazy, but I think something bad is going to happen soon," she started, peeking over at Theia for a reaction. "And I think my mom might be trying something. See, she's the queen of a small country in Europe, or she will be tomorrow. But for some reason, she wants me there. She's sending a plane tomorrow. I'm not going, of course. It's just... she never does anything without a chance of getting something in return. She wouldn't want me there unless it meant she would get something out of it." Upon finishing her rant, she sighed, relaxing into her chair for the first time since Theia had shown up.

((oops XD sorry got distracted mid post))
Theia listened in silence, no judgement in her face. She just...listened. She had read up on Beth and nothing about the phony history had felt right, now she knew why. So the school may just be involved in an international intrigue... oh well. It didn't make a difference, not to Theia. Beth was a student under her care now so she would be protected. She smiled gently and hugged Beth slightly.
"Thank you for telling me. No matter what happens though you will be safe and we will protect you. Queen or no this is a safe place and she will not be allowed to interfere here. That much i promise you" She said seriously, meaning every word and her voice showed it. She would have to keep a closer eye on Beth... maybe a psychic tracker. It was messy and she hated doing it but Beth showed real concern so theia figured real concern was warranted.
***
Elysia sent back an affirmative about the tree and led her to the tree in question. She picked up one of her sister's hand and put the palm against the tree so she could feel it. She could sense something strange... a scent on the wind. A .. half vampire? She'd heard of them but she wasn't sure if they were a myth or not. Now she could guess that it wasn't... She was curious but more interested in her upset sister at the moment.

"Thank you for not judging me," Beth muttered under her breath, a look of peace descending on her. "She's just downright psycho. It wouldn't surprise me if her plot had something to do with gaining power or something. Who knows when she's insane?" Again, the hug only shocked her, considering shows of feeling had never been exchanged between her and another. It was just... awkward. Abruptly, she yawned, blinking at the involuntary action. The fatigue she felt was demanding that it be taken care of immediately.
"Sorry. It's probably jet-lag. If you want to do anything precautionary, feel free. I think I'm going to go to bed," she said, waving as she moved to the bathroom to change and what not. Several minutes later though, she was in bed, breathing softly. Chances were that she wouldn't even notice Theia using her powers for whatever reason. A powerful suppressant would do that to a person, especially if taken several times, such as in a mug of tea. Once would be fine, but after having three or four glasses, the drug would magnify and have a much bigger result.
~~~
Trusting in her sister as she always did, Gail let her lead her to the tree she had asked for and place her palm against it. The ancient energy soothed her as she simply listened. He had so much to say, though no words to speak it. It really did make her feel at peace, evident by the loosening of her shoulders. Of course, she could tell her sister had scented something, but she chose to wait for her to mention it. The tree was providing sustenance for her as surely as any human would. The nutty taste was rich, and there were no emotions to really tangle it up. It was simply there. Most energy vampires thought that the only energy they could devour was that of emotions in people. That was a wrong and incredibly narrow-minded view. All they need is energy from a living thing. "Thank you," she said, both to her sister and the tree, which responded by shaking its leaves opposite to the wind. A smile touched her face as she broke contact, motioning for her sister to lead the way.
Kerian pat Ziva on the head lightly. "Good. Glad your feeling a little better. If anyone tries to force you to do anything you don't wanna do. Come get me. I'll set them straight real quick. Alright?" He smiled brightly at her and glanced at Roland. "The same goes for you too, Roland." His smile faltered a bit. "You might just have to get used to people fighting though. I know this is supposed to be a peaceful place, but when you got this many potential enemies under a single roof, fights are gonna happen." Kerian knew, he'd probably be in the middle of most of those fights. God, he was trying to behave, it might not seem like it, but he really was trying.
Roland just blinked a bit and nodded when Kerian spoke. He didn't plan on getting into any fights with anyone. Especially not when he couldn't really defend himself. "It was good meeting you..." Such a lame thing to say, he could kick himself for it, he shook his head and raised his hand to wave slightly at Ziva and Kerian. "I'm gonna...go look around for a while." He wouldn't stay out too long, since it was past sunset. He was sure more vampires would be out and about now. "Later, guys." Roland turned and jogged off. Wondering if maybe he had just made some friends. Kerian was a vampire though but he seemed nice enough, and Ziva seemed like a sweet girl.
Ziva half smiled as he pat her on the head, it felt a little like she was a kid for a second there. As he spoke she blinked in surprise, perhaps he really did like her or did he just feel sorry for her? She was never sure about such things. It was just so ... strange that someone would be protecting her without wanting something back. The corrupted pack's leader had, but it was just so she could be alive to use her powers for him.
"g...goodnight Roland" She said quietly as he left before she turned back to Keri. Suddenly a little too aware they were alone she flushed a bit but managed to give him a smile. She ran a hand through her hair before smoothing out her long skirt. She should probably head to bed she knew but part of her wanted to stay. She told herself it was to defend the school but she knew there was something else too.
"I..th-thank you for the offer to protect me, but I'm alright, really. It.. I just have to do my best and you will too" She became quiet after she said the last. She lowered her gaze and her ears dipped slightly as she was unsure. It was more demanding then she usually said...more confrontational. To most people it would be normal conversation but with the pack it was a good way to get her ears boxed.
***
Theia nodded and let the other go to bed but she didn't think it was just jet lag. She would wait for the other girl to go to sleep before she began her work. She closed her eyes and let her energy flow to beth. A soft touch at the corner of beth's mind would connect them, creating an energy strong between them that Theia could follow. When it came to a psychic you never dismiss anything to 'jet-lag'
"goodnight" She murmured softly before she stood. For some reason she felt tired... but it was probably because beth was so tired. It was a fault of such a connection, their energy and yours was slightly shared. She yawned to herself and would head up to her room on the roof. She would curl up in her bed when she got there and fell asleep without calling her sister for once...
***
Elysia gave her sister a smile and pulled her along. She was heading for Chandra but would run into a random vampire instead. She would get the location of the dorm from the vampire, though he had to repeat it twice as his accent caused his lip movements to be a little different then usual. With a curtsy and a thank you she would start to lead Gail towards the building. She was worried her sister needed rest. Something about this school... it felt like a powder keg to her. Oh well... at least the fireworks should be fun.
Kerian gave Roland a slight wave when the human decided to dart off. He smiled gently at Ziva when she spoke, and frowned just slightly when her ears dipped. He reached out and ran a hand over each one. "Yeah. I'll have to try really hard though, I'm good at causing trouble. Even when I don't mean to. Guess we'll have to look out for each other then?" His smile returned and he pet her ears one more time before letting his hands fall away. "I'm no good in a place like this." He had sighed and run a hand through his hair. "It's supposed to be peaceful and I can appreciate that, I really can, but I act too impulsively for a place like this. Honestly, I didn't even want to be here." He stepped closer to her. "But, if I hadn't come, I never would've met you." Kerian slipped his arms around Ziva and hugged her tight. "Let's be good friends, okay?" He let her go, smiling brightly at her.
Ziva shivered as he pet her ears and her eyes closed, unable to keep a soft purr from escaping her. She turned red as a tomato as she realized what she was doing and she forced her eyes to open. She started to respond but he stepped closer and for a moment she lost her voice. She curled into the hug and hid her face in his shoulder as he spoke. Friends... was this really what a good friendship felt like? It was different then any she'd experienced...
"I..er...of course. I'd love to be your friend...I..I'm...I'm really glad you're here. I think you'll do well.." She whispered softly as she felt terribly shy. She wasn't sure how to speak to him. He was too sweet and too warm. She knew she should head back to the dorm... it was late. Yet all she wanted to do was sit here right where she was. She felt...safe she supposed was the right word. As he let her go she felt strangely...colder.
"W..We should head in. I'm in the therian dorm over there...." She added quietly as she pointed to it. Still she didn't move even though she knew she should. She smiled at him slightly before she blushed deeply again and looked down. She didn't even know him, not really... yet she felt connected to him.
"I'll try my best, especially if I know your rooting for me." Kerian continued to smile brightly at Ziva, even when she said they should go in. When she pointed to her dorm, he nodded slightly. "I'll walk you to your dorm, then." He didn't point out his dorm, she already knew where he was staying after all, she had been there earlier. He wouldn't move though, until she did or he was sure she was ready to go inside. Kerian couldn't just leave her out her in the dark by herself, even if the dorms weren't really all that far away. The gentlemanly thing to do was walk her 'home' as it was. Kerian shifted on his feet slightly. This wasn't a date, but it didn't have to be a date for a friend to walk another friend home. Kerian blinked. Why was he even thinking of dates? Ziva was really cute, and that fact was enhanced when her ears and tail were out, but really she probably wasn't even interested in dating a guy like him. They should just take things slow, ease into a friendship and see where that led. Kerian ran a hand through his hair, pushing his thoughts away.
