Maiku woke up. He sat down on the edge of his bed for awhile then took a quick shower. After taking a shower, he dressed up and took another walk around the mansion.

• "Oh that's awesome!" Diana exclaimed. "I hope you do get it." She had to peck a kiss on her bunny before putting him in the kennel. "Sorry, I can't take you with me right now. You might jump around," she said. The bunny yawned and went to sleep. Diana set another small bowl of carrots and celery for her bunny, realizing she herself hadn't eaten any, so she put the bleu cheese in the mini-fridge in her room.
  
  "So what's the dress code then?" she asked, directing Adrienne to her closet then pushing the sliding doors open.

Adrienne watched Diana for a moment while she took care of the bunny. She moved though when the subject of apparel came up. She thought for a moment about it, considering what Devon would be comfortable around.

"Well if you want to impress Devon I would say wear something that is semi-casual. That would preferably be a pair of jeans and a nice top."

She was looking at the clothing that was in the closet now. She was a bit shocked by how expensive some of the items looked.

• She sweatdropped when she noticed the look on Adrienne's face. "That's exactly why I shopped for casuals today. At least there's this gray cardigan top that I bought some time ago. I'm gonna combine that with a black spaghetti strap and regular jeans."
  
  Diana couldn't help it. Living in France most of her life before moving here (though English was her first language), her life was in fashion. But Diana designed a small fraction of her actual closet contents as well. The only thing that looked remotely casual were some of her tops -- like the cardigan she selected. However, most of the things that dominated the clothes were her cocktail dresses. Not that she was 21 and gonna hang out in a bar, but they were her favorite style.
  
  "Pick what you like. I do have more jeans in the shopping bags," she said, taking out the cardigan from its hanger and then a dark pair of jeans from the shopping bags, then headed behind a dresser partition to change.
  
  "So where exactly do you work?" Diana asked.

Adrienne nodded slightly. She was a bit jealous of the amount of clothing she had, and tried not to show it. She was thinking about what it was like to be able to by such nice clothing.

She stopped herself from admiring the clothes when she heard Diana talk again. She nodded slightly at the idea knowing it wouldn't intimidate Devon.

She was a bit speechless when she heard her say to pick something. She shook her head slightly. "I'm sorry did you just say to pick out something?" she asked. "I'd like to look at your clothes later. It has a wide variety."

She paused again as she started looking through the clothes, unable to look through the things. She paused slightly. "I work as an editor and I was told that I might be able to be the head editor," she said nodding slightly.

• She came out from behind the partition, fully dressed. "Yes, I did say to pick out something. Go on, I don't mind," Diana said. She didn't notice Adrienne's bit of jealousy, but she did consider giving some to the girl in any way. There was a lot she didn't need, and she knew it, but it was all she had with her. But Adrienne said she'd look at the clothes later, and Diana decided to bring that subject up when that time came.
  
  "An editor? For which kind of media?" she asked. Diana still had yet to find a job. She promised herself she'd stop living off her parents' allowance for her, but she needed to have casual clothes first -- at least some of her wardrobe was business attire and not just party clothes. That and the bunny for its companionship. Nothing part time -- she needed a career. Diana had training for fashion, but that was a competitive business. For now she'd have to look around for a part time job until she could get someone to look at her portfolio.
  
  It was true that her family was rich, not exactly famous but they had a large company...though in the business, promises were made and broken, and Diana was stuck on square one. She didn't tell anyone she had a limit to her allowance but she was pretty much at the tip of it and had to get a job soon, or else her father wouldn't let her inherit his company and would pass it off to one of her brothers instead.

Adrienned nodded slightly and picked out a somewhat casual dress. She went behind the partition and changed. She fixed the dress behind there and came out. It fit her nicely and was pretty casual.

"Oh I edit books," she said with a slight smile. "We're looking for someone to work on editing the book covers since the person who presently is editing them is horrible at it. I think you'd be good at it." She adjusted herself again and relaxed a bit more.

"We really need to get going before he falls asleep on the couch. He's really hard to wake up once he's fallen asleep," she said with a slight laugh.

• "Oh that looks pretty on you!" Diana cheered. It was a color that didn't really suit her but it looked better on Adrienne. She pointed towards the mirror. "Go check yourself out," she urged, smiling happily.
  
  She looked at her mirror as well, to brush her hair and fluff her bangs. No real styling for the moment, she was lazy. "A book editor? That sounds fun...but how do you know I'd be good at editing?" she asked. The job did sound interesting, and she needed it. That, and she had to start selling off some of her clothes to make some money.
  
  "All right, you ready?" She put on a shorter pair of stilettos that she was used to instead of the shoes she was wearing all day. There was a big difference in the girls who had switched styles, and Diana was quite entertained by it.
  
  ((I just noticed that all she does is smile...Diana should be a flight attendant.))

Adrienne was a bit shocked by the comment but then recalled she had frequently been called pretty by a few men that she had known when she had been searching for a college. She walked over to a mirror to see how the dress fit. She was a bit surprised actually and blushed slightly. "Wow that fits really well," she said.

"It's the covers of the books that need help and you seem to know fashion really well," she said adjusting the bottom of the dress slightly. "There's a woman I know that will be writing a fiction book on fashion. I'll need a little help editing it and the cover needs to be well done."

Adrienne frowned slightly when she realized that she didn't have any shoes to go with the outfit she was wearing. She could just wear a pair of black heels that she had bought a while a go, but they were worn and not very nice anymore. When she saw Diana's shoes she looked a bit shocked. "Those are ADORABLE," she said staring at them. "Do you have anymore? I need shoes to go with the outfit."

• "Really? A--a fashion book?" Her eyes lit up. "I--I'd love to!" Diana thought maybe this could get her foot in the door to the industry. "But, don't you want to set up an interview first or something? I mean, this woman doesn't know me." Diana had a history of working in Computer Graphic Communications class for high school so that could also be used as an advantage.
  
  "Shoes?" She hadn't considered that yet. Diana headed over to the closet, parting the hangers of clothes in half to reveal a few boxes sitting on a small shelf, and sat down to sort through them. "I don't have that many...but if you find something here that you like just take it."

Adrienne was shifting through the boxes and was pleased to find a nice pair of high heel shoes that went perfectly with her outfit. She put them on even more pleased to find they fit. She stood up in them and automatically felt like she owned the place. She grinned sheepishly as she walked over to the mirror in delicate strides. She hadn't worn heels for a while and it was somewhat obvious.

"We should be sisters," she said hugging Diana slightly. "Other than the fact that you wouldn't be able to like my brother. Speaking of which, if you hurt him I will personally rip you limb from limb!" Her last worst were a bit half-hearted but there was a complete seriousness in her tone. She didn't care if she scared Diana, she just wanted to protect her brother.

"Now I think we should go," she said triumphantly. "We can get wrapping paper and tape at the store along with some boxes." She had opened the door to leave and paused outside it to wait for Diana.
Devon was getting a bit sleepy from boredom now that he extended the thoughts on his parents. He had changed the subject matter of his thoughts not too long ago since it was making him depressed. The dog was sleeping next to him, snoring with its legs slightly twitching as if it were having a dream about chasing a bunny or some other animal that could be eaten by a wolf or dog.

He sighed slightly as he stood pushing the dog aside. It awoke at that and climbed off the couch and looked up at him expectantly. "All right I'll give you a snack," he said in a slightly lazy tone. He moved to the kitchen then and found the sandwhich meat. He took out a piece and threw it at the dog, who caught it in mid air.

Nicole kept reading the book she got through at least 3 chapters by now she was really into the book she had read about 8 times befroe but she though to herself that she had nothin better to do..

• She folded her arms as she watched Adrienne walk around. "Yeah, heels take a while to get used to. I don't have anything that's flat-heeled at all 'coz I like the height," she explained.
  
  Diana was surprised that Adrienne hugged her. "It'd be nice to have a sister. I got raised with three brothers, so I can be a bit of a tomboy. You'd never be able to tell though!" At the subject of Devon, she was also nervous. "Eh...but...I'm not going out with him, I don't think I can hurt him," she stuttered. Then again she suddenly realized Adrienne might not have meant that, she could've been talking about a car accident or something similar, and smiled weakly. "Okaylet'sgo," she said. When Adrienne stepped out of the door, Diana looked back at the bunny who was quietly sleeping, then headed out and locked the door behind her.

Adrienne walked down the stairs now and found herself used to the shoes by now. She used to wear heels all the time but found it annoying at work when she was always on her feet. She would need to get back to wearing them since it made her feel more confident. She was bombarded by the dog when she reached the bottom though and laughed slightly.

"Hey Dev!" she called hoping he wasn't asleep.

Devon came out of the kitchen munching on a few carrots. He looked at his sister and then glanced up at Diana. They both looked very well at the present moment but he didn't notice his sister so much.

"Yeah," he asked. "Do you need me?"

• She smiled at the dog, which happily leapt over to Adrienne, then faced Devon. "Erm," Diana started, "We were just about to head out and wondered if you wanted to go with us," she replied. "It's kinda boring out here and we wanted to go somewhere a bit more lively." She gestured to Adrienne, "I lent her one of my outfits. Doesn't Adrienne look nice?" she asked, then tucking a strand of hair behind her ear because it got in her face.

"You both look nice," Devon said with a slight smile. "Where did you want to go?" He wasn't really expecting the mall since he'd already been there today. He glanced down at the dog with a pleased expression.

"We were thinking about going out to a movie and dinner," Adrienne said. "Thank you for the compliment though." She nudged her brother a bit towards Diana knowing that he liked her. He gave her a look of slight annoyance but did as she wanted and stood next to Diana.

• "Why thank you, Dev!" she replied at his comment.
  
  Diana didn't notice Adrienne's nudging, but was blushing when Devon went to stand next to her.
  
  "Okay, who's driving?" She pulled her handbag from earlier over her shoulder. At least it looked good. 'Dinner...and a movie? Sounds a bit awkward, but at least Adrienne's around.' Diana also considered taking the two to a dance club sometime, but of course, not tonight. Whatever Adrienne said to do tonight, was what they were going to do.

"I'll be driving," Adrienne said confidently. She went out the door and didn't really wait for them and walked straight up to her green jeep. She unlocked it and got into the driver's seat and turned the car on so that it could heat up a little.

Devon followed his sister but he stopped every so often to wait for Diana. When they got to the car he opened the door to the front passenger side for Diana. Once she had gotten in he closed it and then got in the back seat.

Adrienne locked the doors when everyone was in and glanced back at Devon. "Now we must first stop at the mall so we can get you some decent clothes," she said smirking slightly as she was still looking at Devon.

[[have to go to bed]]

• "Okay." Diana followed Adrienne and Devon outside to Adrienne's jeep. Diana herself always wanted to ride in one, so this was her first time. She thanked Devon for opening the passenger seat up to her and she buckled her seatbelt.
  
  "Sorry, Dev. I know we just went earlier, but this time you really have to get yourself some clothes. Adrienne's orders," she said, smiling at Adrienne. This was going to be fun.

As Maiku walked around the castle he saw a picture frame of someone. He looked at it for a moment and kept walking..

Devon silently grumbled to himself as he realized his sister had pulled off the age old trick of dragging him to the clothing store, again. He sighed though and buckled his seat belt. "All right," he said. "I'll try to pick something out."

Adrienne grinned slightly and glanced over at Diana before putting the car into gear. She pulled down the driveway at an even speed and got onto the road to town. She was excited but it wasn't showing that much. "Now Devon," she said after a while. "You know half of your clothes don't fit you and that's why we're getting rid of them. You need more clothes."

• Diana yawned a bit because others driving her around usually lulled her to sleep -- unlike when she usually drove because that way she had to be awake and alert.
  
  "See Dev, Adrienne's got a point. You wouldn't pick out anything earlier so now we're gettin' this settled." She really did feel like Adrienne was the sister she never had by now.

Adrienne laughed slightly at Diana's comment. They weren't far from the mall now and she'd be able to get the perfect parking spot without having to pay. When she got there she parked and then turned the car off. "Well we shall start now," she said triumphantly.

Devon was silent for the most part and completely aware of his sister and how well she was bonding with Diana. He was a bit jealous and it was starting to show in how he was fidgeting with the seat belt.

Maiku had nothing to do once again, he leaned his back against the wall and looked at the ceiling wondering what he could do for the time being.

• Diana thought for a bit. "You came home early, Adrienne. Have you met anyone else in the mansion yet? I haven't, just you guys," 'And I'm really happy for that,' she added in her mind.
  
  As Adrienne parked, she unbuckled herself. "Cool, let's go," she said, getting herself out the door. "At least this is gonna teach me more about Devon's style and how to fix that up." Adrienne did ask Diana to assist Devon in impressing people anyway, so Diana was gonna oblige. "Dev? You okay back there?" She laughed enthusiastically, and motioned for him to get out of the jeep. "Come on!"
