Ilya turned from her, she obviously wasn't objecting. She walked slowly over to Matthew, "What are you doing Matthew?" Her voice was soft and mournful.

Matthew didn't answer at first. "I'm thinking," he said quietly. "I shouldn't have done that, I should have sacrificed myself."

She looked at him with gentle eyes, "Love her as if tomorrow will never come. One day it won't, for one of you anyway."

Matthew looked confused. He had only wanted to give someone a chance at life, not love them.

Ilya sighed and leaned against the tree, putting her hand out in the sun and staring at it. It burned a little but she liked it. She felt like she deserved it.

Matthew looked up at her and when she put her hand in the sun he jumped slightly. After a moment he forced her to take her hand out.

Ilya's gaze snapped to Matthew's when he pulled her hand from the sun. It was as if she were in a trance. "Sorry."

"Be careful," matthew said sincerely as he looked at her.

Ilya looked to the ground and did not remove her gaze.

Matthew sighed slightly. He turned then and walked back to the more shaded area and sat down.

Once they got safely back in the school her plan was to leave. They didn't need this or deserve this. She watched him move with a sigh.

"I don't want you to leave," he said gently not even turning around to look at her.

"What choice do I have?" She said in a dull tone, her eyes now on the ground.

"You can go if you need too," he said then knowing he couldn't confine her even if he tried.

Ilya didn't respond, her gaze was transfixed on the ground.

Matthew was silent now as he started dozing. He started falling over then towards the ground.
