Before she had made it all the way back to her class, Charlotte remembered she had a quiz today and couldn't skip. Cursing herself she ran back down the way she had come, not watching where she was going. She was going to be late and wouldn't be given the quiz if she was more than five minutes late. Her braids bounced behind her as she ran and suddenly she tripped, falling onto her hands and she was so stunned she stood there staring at the ground.

There was a package placed on her desk. Was it a package? Or, was it something else. Perhaps the only need more forceful to her than her reading, was that of curiousity. It drove her desire to read, and for the moment, it drove her to set her current book aside, opening the front cover of this strange one placed in front of her while she'd been oblivious to most of the world.

Inside, a paper was tucked, which she pulled out, enough for her to read. She blinked a few times as she did.

Perhaps it must be said exactly how much such a gift meant to Ezri. To her, a book was the ultimate treasure. to give a book to her, was the equivalent of handing someone with cancer a working cure. Immediately, she turned around looking for him. though her face was a tiny bit red, it certainly wasn't with anger that she searched. The gratitude was clear in her expression.

((Just so everyone knows, Ezri's hall maneuvering is nothing too horribly special- I can do it. It's possible for a human to read, understand, and navigate halls...>> I' mnot exaggerating on her ability.))

After searching through his stuff some, Shawn realised that he left his pencil back in his dorm. "Crap, I'll be right back, I left something in my dorm. Let her know im here." When Tess nodded at him, he ran out of the class room, turning down a hallway he noticed a girl on the ground.
"Hey are you alright?" He looked at her worried.

Luke had been sitting in the very back of the classroom, just watching from a distance. He was happy seeing that Ezri couldn't resist opening the book. He had half felt that she would have just placed the book aside and dropped it in the trash on her way out of class. Then again, like himself; He knew a true book addict when he saw one. The book he gave to Ezri was one of the very first ones he bought when he came to this school. He picked it up at an older bookstore in town. The store held many years of wisdom among it's shelves and even though every book was heavily covered in dust he was still drawn to that one book. He just smiled as he wallowed in his memory for a short time.

Once he saw Ezri looking around for him he still held his smile. He decided to make it a little more difficult, well, only a little. He reached down under the desk and pulled up a math book and placed it in front of his face so he couldn't be seen. Though, he probably stuck out like a sore thumb because who in their right mind would be reading a Math book? Occasionally Luke would peek around an edge of the book to see if she had noticed him yet.

((Nice Disclaimer~ I still think it's amazing that someone can make it through the halls while reading a book. I think it's hard enough to make it through the swarm of people with just yourself intact. XP ))

A smile as she saw him, hiding behind a mathbook. Only someone avoiding someone else would dare try to read a mathbook...

When he peeked around, Ezri simply shook her head, the blush still there on her cheeks. But even with that, she smiled brightly at him. Truly, the gift had touched her. And practically randomly as well. The teacher came to the front and silence fell. Ezri hurried to turn around and pay attention as he began talking about the assignments.

Whiel she truly grew bored, Ezri managed to keep her head up which many of the other students couldn't say. She tried not to look back at Luke... She had to exert a lot of control...

Charlotte laughed a little and looked up "Yep, I'm fine. I was just in a hurry, going to be late for a chemistry quiz." She stood up and dusted off her hands on her uniform and looked at him "I should probably tie my shoes," she said picking her foot up from the ground and gesturing towards her feet, "Then maybe if I did decide to run through the halls, I wouldn't land up on my face." She smiled and asked "Are you skipping or did you forget something in your dorm?" She asked, she was in a hurry, but didn't want to appear rude to someone who had just been so polite to her.

((I've actually been known to do that, Storm. xD But my school was literally a square..so y'know.))

Luke gently shut the book and placed it down on the desk once he realized he'd been spotted. From that point it would be useless to try and hide himself. He continued to stay seated at the desk with a pleasant smile adorned to his face, clearly he was a happy individual because he had a habit of smiling a lot. Though, as soon as the teacher began speaking his smile seemed to fade. This was yet another class that was so very boring.

He sat up straight in the seat, leaning his back against the chair. His long black hair fell backwards off of his shoulders as he looked up at the ceiling for a few moments. His glance returned back to the teacher just in time to see the teacher staring at him. He let out a nearly unnoticeable sigh as he then glanced at the clock. He was a whiz at math and he already knew and comprehended most of everything that was being said so he was really looking forward to the bell ringing at the end of the class.

Every now and again Luke would look over at Ezri. He'd stare for a moment and then look off in another direction. Almost like he was waiting for her to look back at him and then have the teacher say something to her. He was trying to be such a trouble maker but knew she wouldn't look at him, at least not until the teacher was finished talking to everyone.

((...So? Um... Yeah... How may classes before Lunch? And how many after? Should there be a special post that someone makes that says something like "Lunch Period" at the top of the post so we know when the class has changed? Something like that... So that we're all on the same page >.> And some of us aren't stuck in second period while the rest have moved on? Hmm... Time warps again >w< If I have totally confused anyone, I'm sorry!))

"My fault," Yuu said, taking a step back. "Sorry about that."

He regarded the girl standing in front of him. She looked a little lost, but then, so was he. Hopefully, she had better map skills than he had. Maybe she could help him navigate through the school. After all, it was better than getting lost and being late to his next class. Deciding to take the chance, the teen took out the crumpled, worn-out looking map and held it in front of him.

"Do you happen to know where room 215 is?" he asked. "I have an art class there next period, but, uh, I'm horrible with a map."

Shawn laughed "Forgot something in my dorm acctully. I have Creative Writing, second year. Dont want to miss that class, they always assign a 15 page story due next class." He glanced at his watch, the teacher was going to kill him for sure. "Hate to sound rude but I got to run, literally. Names Shawn Moores by the way." With that he took off, god did he hate running.

Zae took the map from his hands, smiling slightly when she learned that she wasn't the only one late for that class. After momentarily examining the map she pointed to a spot on it, "Right here. Actually, that's where I'm heading." Zae's smile widened, she was usually shy, but she was great with maps and directions, so now she knew exactly where it was. If they were lucky-and it appeared they were as the crowd seemed to be dying down-they'd be able to get there in a couple of minutes. "If you'd like we can try to find it together, this way we won't get too lost and we may even make it on time," she said, turning her head to look up at him.

Charlotte laughed a little and yelled after Shawn "I'm Charlotte," she called and then realized she was really late. She picked up her bag and began to walk swiftly down the hall. She knew she was going to have to be late to wait a bit after class to finish her quiz now. When she finally approached the classroom she entered quietly and walked up the the teacher.

"You're late, Ms. Pilots," the teacher said.

Sighing Charlotte said "Yes, I'm sorry. Big school, y'know?" She said, trying to be casual. Without saying another word the teacher handed her the quiz and Charlotte went to sit down in the back of the class.

Takeo walked into his room noticing that he was more then likely the last one in as everyone elses stuff had already been put somewhere. Setting his bag on the floor next to the one empty bed he walked out with a stretch. He was already late to class but it was hte office's fault so as far as he was concerned there was no need to rush.

True, it took her more than a little self control to keep her from turning around. In a way. such a present had earned him undying loyalty. At the very least, a friendship. As soon as the teacher was nearly done wiht the lecture, she half turned, before the teacher noticed and she snapped her head forward again.

This time, she waited until the teacher finsihed before she turned aroudn again to give him a smile, then she hurried through he problems assigned.

((six classes a day, three before, three after))

Luke smiled every time Ezri tried to turn around and look at him. He was being amused at how hard she was trying. Then she finally got a chance to look at him without the teacher noticing, he was still smiling when she smiled at him. After she turned back around Luke reached into his uniform jacket pocket and pulled out a pencil.

He too began working on the problems assigned to them. In a matter of a couple minutes he was finished with the whole page of equations. He then set the pencil down and looked back up towards the teacher. His glance slowly changed so that he was then looking at the clock. 'Time is going by so slow' He thought to himself as he looked at the time. He let out a small sigh as he lazily leaned back in the chair from boredom.

"Alright then," Yuu said. "Let's go."

Luck was with him today. He was glad that he had found someone that was good with a map and was even in the same class as him. Normally, even with directions, the teen would screw up one way or another. His class attendance was horrible, he always came to class at least twenty minutes late. He couldn't only blame his navigation, the size of the school was at fault as well. After all, who can possibly find one small classroom in this gigantic, three-story building?

He followed the girl. She looked like she knew what she was doing, so he wasn't too worried. Instead, he set his mind to other things. He wondered why his companion picked art as an elective course. Did she like it, or was it just another credit she needed to earn?

He, for one, loved art. Though he'd had a straight-C record on his report card throughout most of middle school and high school--except for math, he had a D in that subject--he'd always manage an A for art. While other subjects seemed like too much of a bother, art was effortless, almost spontaneous.

"So, what do you know about this Stein guy?" Yuu asked, referring to the art teacher. He'd never heard of this teacher in the art department before.

Out of breath Shawn made it to class only a couple minutes late. The teacher glared at him for disrupting the class but returned to what he was talking about before he enterd. He slid into his seat next to Tess and quitly whisperd to her "What did I miss?"

"Nothing much, Mr. Sellers is just telling us who are new to the class whats to be expected from us. And how we have to turn in 15 pages to him at the beginning of every class."She said sighing, looking over at him."Except for second years, which happends to be just you as far as I can tell, who turn in 20 pages.

Shawn was prepared for the advance work load but hearing it made him want to throw up. Shawn looked up at the teacher.
"Alright, seeing as I have nothing else planned for today I want all of you to start your storys, you may calobrate with one another but keep the oral stimuli to a mininum."
He sighed and pulled out his note book,thinking about what happend in the hallway he began to write.
Charlotte was just like everyother teen, except she had a thing for tripping over her own feet....

Charlotte finished her quiz and turned it in. She sat back in her seat and waited for the bell. She was so glad that the quiz ended up being one of those ones where it just wants you to follow directions. Apparently, no one else had figured out they just had to write 'chemical combustion' on the top of the page. Sighing, she stood up and approached the teacher "May I use the restroom?" she asked and as the teacher nodded, Charlotte stepped out the door into the hallway. She stretched and looked both ways, not really knowing which way she should go. She didn't have to use the bathroom, she just didn't want to be sitting in the class an entire period for no reason.

Zae looked to him casually, "He's supposed to be a fairly decent teacher. I've heard that he isn't too strict and has a fair sense of humour; however he's also known to be quite the critic," she finished, chuckling slightly as she did so and flipping her hair back so she could see. The smile had faded from her lips but her face was casual.

As it was her belief that nothing was a coincidence, she figured that bumping into the boy was a sign that she was supposed to help him in some way, but her mind was blank when she tried to think of what the boy would need help with. However when she realized that they were going to pass the classroom door she stopped abruptly.

Her eyes wandered to the top of the door to her left and she clutched the bag that held her books and supplies in her left hand. Zae was sad that the walk to the classroom had been so short but she knew that they would be late if she hadn't stopped then.

Time was slow... time was always slow. as Ezri watched the clock anxiously, she found that her mind wasn't entirely on the math problems. It didn't need to be, the girl was scribbling answers despite the spacy locale of her thoughts.

Those thoughts kept wandering to the book that had been given her. What was it about, how would it paly out? Such questions that strolled through every corner of her mind. She did these problems as if out of habit.

The usual annoying school bell sounds loudly through the halls and into all of the class rooms signifying the change of classes.

~Class Change~

Luke smiled as soon as he heard the bell ring. Finally, he could escape from this boring Math class. He glanced over at Ezri for a brief moment before he started collecting up his things and preparing to leave. He took his pencil and slipped it beside his ear, a safe place by any means to leave a pencil you're afraid of loosing.

After his things were gathered he adjusted his uniform a little and started to head for the door. As soon as he reached the door he opened it and slipped out into the halls just as he had done the class before. He preferred waiting for the swarm of students to die down before heading for his next class. He stood just outside the door off to the side with his back against the wall. He let out a small sigh as he started to think about lunch. His stomach grumbled slightly while he thought about something to eat. "I really should've eaten more for breakfast." He mumbled as he looked up at the river of students rushing around.

Charlotte had never even made it back to class. She'd been wandering the halls for the reaminder of the class and now had to rush back to get her bag. She wasn't running this time, but walking briskly, her head down on the floor. She knew where she was going, but didn't bother to look up at the direction she was heading. She paused for a moment to side-step a group of guys rough housing through the halls. She laughed a little as they shoved each other down the hall and made jokes about their hair. She leaned against the wall and watched as they passed, turning into the classroom she picked up her bag. She expected to be reprimanded for not coming back, but the teacher had already left. She pulled her bag over her shoulder and walked out of the classroom. She paused just outside the door to check her schedule.

((I forgot if this was the second or third class. xD))

The class was over, and as soon as the bell rang, the newest book was scooped up in hand and she hurried to stick her other mateirals inside the bag at her side. Such halfhearted business. But in any case, she sighed as she finished, rushing out into the hall with the rest of the ridiculous creatures that decided that a boarding school was for them.

Had it been her choice, or her parents? Who cared, in truth. The next class was her scince class, but she had already done the work believe it or not. She'd taken the liberty one night in boredom to work ahead a whole three chapters... She was set for a while.

She hurried to bury herself in a book amidst the thirdhour craziness.

Shawn sighed, stupid bell. He was really getting into his story, and he didnt feel like stopping anytime soon. He pulled out his schedule and looked at to see that he had Study Hall next. He smiled before looking at the teacher and it fell.Go to study hall and die or skip?He wonderd. Easy answer, Skip.He gatherd his stuff and hurried out the door. He was looking around when he ran into a someone making him drop all his things, the pages of his story flying around.
"Damn, im so sorry. I wasnt watching where I was going." He said as he bent down to retrive his things.

Charlotte stumbled as she was bumped into, almost fell over but she caught herself on the door frame. "Hi Shawn!" She said, acting like she's known him forever, "It's okay. I was just looking at the class I have next." She looked down at her schedule again. "Frick," she exclaimed, "I have gym." She looked down and realized he'd dropped some things and bent over to help him pick up his papers. "I was going to go get something to eat before I remembered a quiz for this class, would you like to come?" She offered, smiling.

Shawn relaxed when he realized that it was Charlotte he bumped into and not some stranger. "Acctually I was just on my way off campus for food, skiving off study hall with Ms. Pitts. Gods I hate the woman." He said with a shudder before looking at Charlotte. "I'd be honor to have lunch with someone as genial like you." He smiled putting his papers in a pile.
