Asuna told the nurse she wasn't feeling well and the nurse let her lay in one of the beds in the back. The nurse left for her lunch break passing Kitty. Asuna laid in the bed crying. "w..why do..does every one..h..hate me??" she said as her crying continued

Kitty walked in and over to Asuna, "Hey, kid. You remember me?" She asks, "I wanted to apologize for earlier..." She pulled up a chair and sat down next to the bed.

"....." Asuna looks at her and rolls on her side to hide her crying "...why do you want to a..a..apologize t..t..to me??"

Kitty grabs her arm and turns her to face her. "Because, I want to, okay?" She says releasing her grip on Asuna's arm.

Asuna turned over ".....w..why the changed of heart?" She wiped her tears away with her sleeve

Kitty turns her gaze out a nearby window. "You just looked so sad and pathetic...," she said, trying to regain her composure. "I don't usually do this kinda thing. So enjoy it while it lasts," she said turning to face her again.

"I see" she looks at her "T..thank you....y..you are the only one who has been nice to me..."

Kitty smiles a little. "Really? Whys that?" She asks, leaning forward and looking Asuna in the eye. "You seem like a nice kid to me," she adds.

"..I don't know...every one just hates me for how smart I am...." she looks right back "I get straight A's..and I try to fit in....but no one likes me..."

Kitty laughs softly. "Not everyone," she says smiling at her. She extends a hand toward her.

"w..w..what??" she takes her hand and sits up "a..a..are you trying to say you do?"

Kitty smiles. "I want the honor of being your first friend," she says, "how does that sound to you?"

Asuna's eyes lit up and she started to cry again, but not out of sadness, but out of joy and happiness "y..y..you mean it?"

Kitty nods, happy to see that shes feeling better. "Of course i do silly," she says grinning. "Guess what. Your my first friend too." She hands her a tissue, "now, maybe you should dry yourself off before you drown," she says, laughing at her little joke.

Asuna giggled at the joke and hugged kitty "t...thank you..." she wiped her tears away as the nurse walked back in and sat at her desk and said to her self "...she finally has a friend....bout time to... I was getting worried about her..."

Kitty smiles. "Anytime kid," she said hugging back. "Wanna grab some lunch? I'm starved. What about you?" She asked.

"lunch sounds great right now.....I didn't eat breakfast this morning...." she hopped off the bed

(dont ask me ^.^;; ask kitty) Asuna skipped to lunch happily. For the first time ever, she wasn't faking happiness

BIC: Kitty walked beside Asuna, trying to act as casual as possible. She had her hands in her pockets. "So whats for lunch, kid?" She asked.

Asuna skipped into the cafeteria and looked for a table "oh crap....too late..."

Kitty smiles, "don't worry, I got it." She walks to a table of kids and when they see her they immediately vacate the table. She gives Asuna a thumbs up.

Max found out that he was late after all to his class, and he started wondering around through the halls. He noticed what time it was and headed toward the cafeteria. "i just hope I ain't late.." he said
